Great gyros - but outstanding gyro salads! Huge salad and no reason to push back still hungry. Very fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet onions, feta, and gyro meat topped with a pepperocini and a nice portion of tzatziki on the side. Highly recommend when you feel like a nice fresh salad read more

Ordered gyro and small pizza. Both were delicious. I've been curious about the food from Athena's especially since the change in ownership. This was my first pizza from Athena's and I was very pleased with its chewy crust and sweet sauce. The gyro was loaded with meat and the hand made sauce had a subtle cucumber flavor that was delicious and flavorful. read more

i have been on a quest to find the best Cheesesteak in Akron area. I think I found it at Athenas. It was so good, not to greasy that the bun was soggy, perfect amount of mushrooms, onions and cheese. I have always had good experiences with Athenas but the cheesesteak i had today was just incredibly delicious! read more

Fantastic Gyros & Pizza. Unlike many other local gyro spots, the Baklava was not only available for purchase...but also delicious. Friendly staff from the Point of Sale to the order completion. There are some cool artifacts in this semi hidden gem. Tables are available for dine in, but this place mainly feels like a family owned carry out spot. read more

Okay for gyros this place is the bomb, and the fries are good, I like show string fair type fries, so I really like them. Now the pizza I ordered was just meh, they do have a load of vegan and Gluten free options, which in this day and age is a plus. The service was quick and organized, the actual pizza shop is just that, a pizza shop, really not a dine in. Order, pick it up. In the inside They have a clean and smooth running pizza shop it seems, they were closing at 8, so I was the last order of the day, so they were prepping and cleaning up and there may have been more pick up orders, but I do know they had early close times. The gyro and the fries, for sure. read more

I'm picky when it comes to Italian subs and this place has the best around! Already comes with everything you would want on it no extra fees like other pizza shops highly recommend read more

Wow!! Really good vegan pizza. We loved it! Thank you so much for having delicious vegan pizza! We can't wait to return! My mother in law had a pepperoni with the white sauce and also loved it. Hey vegans! Go here it's good! (And non vegans too!) read more

Great service, gyro was super, Greek pizza was spot on. Will return to try the vegan options. New the neighborhood, Athena's is a keeper.

Best food in the city. We have never had a bad meal. Their pizza and Fried Chicken is the best. The staff is professional and kind.

The best vegan pizza I've had. I ordered delivery, so I can't comment on the actual place. However, the pizza was delicious. The veggie, buffalo chikn, and pickle pizza were all super yummy. Plus, the vegan menu was very decent, there are plenty of options. This is definitely a place for vegans to pig out on some pizza. read more

Fast and professional they were really nice but the food was even better the pizza is a must have

Everything we've tried here is so good. The pizza is our favorite and the salads have generous portions with fresh ingredients. Best fried chicken and jojo's around. Staff is always friendly. read more

The owner rocks! That's all I can say!! My go to place for vegan pizza and breadsticks. When they are on point they are on point. When the food is not On point, well well it hits hard! read more

We wanted to try a new pizza place and the reviews and pictures sent us to Athenas. Now, to be honest, I'm impressed. Not as greasy as I would like, but the taste of the cheese is very good, the pepperonis are big and tasty (definitely not the pepperoni a lot of other pizza places use) and the sauce was savory and not sweet like some others pizza sauces (I don't care for sweet sauce). But I am warning you now: DO NOT GET MUSHROOMS. Their mushrooms are WAY too thick and is very off putting compared to the rest of the pizza. They are literally like half an inch thick. I am a huge fan of mushrooms on pizza but I picked every single one off. But I would absolutely get Athena's again and just stick with the pepperoni or maybe fry bacon. Overall, great pizza. read more

Chicken is the absolute best!!! We usually just get the dark meat and it's so juicy. I would also recommend the coleslaw. Yummy!

Ive tried MANY things on their menu and nothing has ever disappointed! The fried chicken is amazing. I've always said I never really liked jojos until I tried theirs...so good! The bbq chicken pizza is to die for. I could go on and on. The owners are so kind and everyone there greets you with a smile. I've never had to wait for my food past their quoted pick up time. read more

Best Italian sub I've had in years! Crispy on the outside super tangy and flavorful on the inside. I highly recommend.

Great new owners! They are doing a great job. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and delicious.

I love Athena's! It's not just the delicious gyros or salads, but their pizza is great too. It's a great place for delivery or takeout, for the whole family. Everyone comes away happy. read more

The food before was good, but it's now under new ownership/management and it's even better. When you walk in to pick up, the place is just clean. None of the that Americana hodge podge car trinket toys whatever everywhere. Really good customer service. I ordered salads, and it's fresh romaine lettuce through the whole salads. None of that fresh romaine on top and crappy iceberg lettuce underneath restaurants love to do. The homemade Greek salad dressing is delicious. Pizza and fried chicken were amazing. Everyone at the get together couldn't believe how good everything was. Definitely check this place out. It will surely become one of your new favorites. I love this place so much I reviewed it twice. Double the pleasure. Thank you very much. read more

First time eating here, got a small pepperoni pizza. Edge to edge cheese with round crust. The crust tasted buttery. Delicious! Going back today! read more

First time trying pizza from Athena's and we were very pleasantly surprised. New owners; a husband and wife team. And what a great team they make! The pizza was as good as they were friendly. The crust was just the right depth and was cooked to perfection. Pepperoni was tasty, yummy herbs and sauce were excellent too-all around a very good choice. You should try it! We will be back! Not worth wasting your time anymore. Never answer the phone and even when I drop in they are usually closed.

Best pizza place I have ever had !!! Truly Diamond in the rough !!! We ventured off our traditional works (which is out of this world amazing) and had their pierogi pizza !!! It may be my new favorite ! Their salads are really great too!!! I can't say enough good things, this place has great food !!!! read more

The chicken is exceptional and the fresh cut fries are great. This is one of our go to pick up meals. Gyros and subs are very tasty. The pizzas have a sweeter sauce which is not popular with our kids. The big point is the owners are very polite and do everything to make what you want. Never disappointed. read more

We had Athenas for the first time last night. I'm giving 4 stars because, while everything was delicious and the service was great, our pizza was really undercooked. We had asked for extra cheese on our pizza, which upon opening the box, looked AMAZING. Then I took a bite and the dough seemed soggy and undercooked. The mild wings and mozzarella sticks were delicious though. Great customer service as well. read more

Food was always good, WHEN you could get past a horrible person answering the phone on the weekends and could actually order food. No success either connecting to anyone answering the phone until the third call. Answered, didn't speak then hung up. Call back yielded the annoying fax screeching. Third call yielded an answering human who couldn't have been less motivated to take the order, spoke so quickly that he was unintelligible, then wanted to play games with what he incorrectly perceived was the menu I was looking at vs. the info. he was operating from. It's too bad we had to take our food dollars elsewhere but, after the phone experience, we felt that there was no hope that the food would live up to it's remembered high quality. This is becoming the norm rather than the exception when calling Athena's. read more

This place is fantastic. The fried chicken and jojo's are great. The service is awesome. I went to pickup pizza and chicken one night, there was no special on the food this night but the worker applied the discount. I asked him why it was so cheap and he told me he applied the pizza and chicken special to my order. Food is always hot and tasty and I have never arrived and had to wait. If you want some tasty pizza and chicken, check out Athenas! read more

Just ordered some late night pizza and chicken from athenas and it was very good. Love the amount of cheese and sausage, not too much sauce and the crust was easy above the average. Chicken was crispy and juicy. The only ding I'll give is it's a bit greasy but very good overall . I'd definitely recommend read more

Pizza was good. Above average. Only reason 4 stars is sauce. The pizza sauce was about average.. reminded me of Leonardo's pizza on Ghent rd

Great gyro and fry specials for lunch and dinner. One day I decided to switch it up and order the cheese steak sub and it was super good too. Trust me, if you like Gyros and cheese steak subs, you'll be happy with their taste and proportions. read more

Thanks from Troop 299 - last night we fed 20 boys and 5 dads, great pizza - fast delivery to the camp, was still hot! Happy to support a local business. We'll note this next time in the area! read more

BEST FRIED CHICKEN *EVER*, hands down. Seriously. Give it a try, you can thank me later. :-)

I didn't even order the service was so terrible. The large man behind the counter was too busy stuffing his face to acknowledge me.

Holy smokes the fried chicken is beyond amazing. And the Philly Steak pizza is probably one of the sexiest pizzas I have ever eaten. It's a must if you are making a stop there. We might go back today. read more

Another great lunch from Don the pizza guy at Athenas! The Buffalo chicken pizza rocks, perfect jojo's, cheese steak sub and hot wings!!! Thanks Don read more

I couldn't wait to get home and eat my gyro. It was so greasy I could barely hold on to it. And it certainly didn't have cucumber sauce it tasted like sour cream to me. The tomatoes were old. I will definitely never eat there again, and it look pretty dirty when I went in to pick it up! read more

Got the meatlovers pizza. Was pretty good. Ordered a gyro as well. Portion size of gyro was horrible. The pizza was small as well but was yummy. I definitely won't be ordering or recommending the gyros. Pizza will be recommended. Oh and when it was delivered they forgot my feta. I called and honestly the lady was so polite I couldn't even be upset..mistakes happen. read more
