I'm moving back to southwest Ohio and this is one of the only places i will miss from the northeast. Everything I've had from this place is amazing! Pizza, hoagies, fried chicken, jojos, and spaghetti. I even tried the coleslaw... it was amazing! The sauce they use is sweet and light. They fry the chicken perfectly. Definitely give this place a try. Another thing i love is the customer service and mom and pop feel. The staff is always friendly and it's always the same people working. You can tell they really love their job. They also offer rewards programs and punch cards. There's a different special everyday. You can get a sub, jojos, coleslaw, and a can of soda for under $9. There's not too many places you can get a good home cooked meal for under $10 a person. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a consistent take out spot with a mom and pop feel that won't hurt your wallet. read more

Altieri's is great- truly local pizza shop. Personally, I love the deep dish and the fact that you can get a free slice for the road when you pick it up! There is also gluten-free fried chicken which made my Uncle thrilled to have fried chicken again! They should've made it right between the customer and not waste my time for the 40 minutes plus the 20 minutes plus would have to wait again then rush my food when they did not take my order through the phone and then made it so indecisive like it was my fault to figure it out. It's on you guys .. Came here for the fried chicken & left with a free slice of pizza- score! Plus they definitely gave us a few extra pieces of friend chicken in our 12 piece meal- double score! The guy behind the counter was super friendly and the chicken was pretty good. One thing to *avoid* is the "rice". It's sorta like jambalaya rice but i believe it had marinera in it... idk. It was weird so we didn't eat it. I'm sure rice at a pizza shop isn't the most desired item but we ordered it to feel less guilty for eating a bunch of fried chicken. The only other side I remember them having was potato wedges, which I would've ordered if I knew the rice wasn't normal rice. Oh well- lesson learned! read more

I drove 30 minutes to get this after hearing such great things. It was definitely worth the drive. Best pizza in the CLE area that I've had by far. The staff was super friendly and organized during the midst of chaos by the calls and folks coming in for pickup. They also offer a slice for you to try while waiting for your order. A great added touch is that they open your box and show you the order prior to your exit to ensure the correct order is served. Simple but genius. read more

Stopped by this take-out only pizza spot for our next pizza review. To start off the customer service was great and quick in and out after we called ahead. The pizza looked great in the box and all the toppings were dispersed well. We enjoyed how the toppings were under the cheese, they did not fall off when you bit into it. The pepperoni was slightly spicy which was great to balance out the sweeter sauce. There was not really a cheese pull or much flavor to the cheese. Not much flavor to the crust either, it was chewier rather than crunchy, so mostly depends on your preference. The pricing was reasonable and we will definitely be getting it again! read more

This place is hands down the best pizza place in the area. Not only is the quality of the pizza perfection but the way the workers care about their customers makes this place even more amazing. I am so thankful they have a vegan cheese option, and I've had A LOT of vegan cheese pizzas from other places but this place DOES IT RIGHT- so huge compliment to the chef for nailing it. We have had two horrible experiences with this company. Both times special instructions were not followed and we were shorted drinks. Will never order from them again - completely unhelpful when we called for assistance. Total rip off. Per your note - you gave us zero options to resolve and you never let us know that the vegan cheese was sold out. It was selectable on other menu items. Your response is simply dishonest. I have lived within a few miles of this place for 15 years. Luckily for me, I hadn't tried it before. I'd probably be 600lbs! This pizza was the best I've tried around. The crust was amazing. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It has great flavor. I also wanted to try the side of spaghetti just to see if it was good. It was pretty tasty. They have a specialty pizza each month and also offer a cauliflower crust. Next time I'll be trying the cauliflower just to see how it is. My daughter is gluten free and they listed it as an option. The pie had a thinner cauliflower crust than their standard pizza and showcased their signature sauce well. We ordered it in the Riconi trim and it was everything all the award winning write up's say it is. Tart, sweet, savory, spicy,... awesome! As a general rule, don't care for chicken (as a kid, had to fetch eggs from under broody hens, help clean, and clean up after, chickens & ate way too much chicken). But, Altieri's chicken, in any form, is the exception to the rule. Also, best pizza I've had in decades. It's been awhile since I've had pizza here and I was happy to check out Alteri's. So far, I've been there twice and both times the pizza was good. Best crust I've had in several years, especially the wheat crust! If you want to try something a little different, try their Greek pizza. It's was yummy! Their price-point is about average and they don't skimp on toppings. I'll definitely be going back. Now I have to try their cannolis. read more
