Hey, this little place is kind off hid among the "bushes" but it's run by a great family that cares about it's customers and has a fantastic old fashion pizza recipe that kicks ass. There excuse was it's the SuperBowl and they were busy, I waited 20 minutes for some pepperonis just for the pepperonis to be burnt. NEVER AGAIN. This pizza is wicked! The beautiful pepperonis on top are always crispy. The sauce seems to be a bit sweeter than most but it's seasoned well and one of my top 5 pizza places in Akron. Holy Cow! What an absolute surprise. We recently ordered from Gino's, and let me tell you, what a pie! We ordered 2 different ones, a half cheese, half pepperoni, and a white, garlic, chicken pizza. First the half pepperoni. Delicious, medium crust, crispy on the bottom, still a bit of chew to the inside. Tangy, rich, tomato-y sauce. Great cheese, cupped, tiny pepperoni rounds that crisped up on the bake. The white pie was aggressively garlicky, but that's sort of what you expect in a white pizza. The chicken on it was diced up and incorporated in every bite. Coupled with the same great dough and cheese as the pepperoni pizza, this was pretty good. My preference is probably the red sauce pizza, but that's usually my preference, so try them yourself and see what you like best! read more

I love the taste of this pizza. It's always delicious and bubbling hot when I get it. They actually take time to season there sauce. It's a bit of a sweet pizza and is very greasy. BUT it reheats very well (more like broils in the oven well. You should never microwave a pizza) Sausage & pepperoni are always my go to with extra cheese and extra sauce lol. The meat toppings really balance out the sauce and it's crispy meat toppings:) Only downfall is that they only take cash and sometimes staff is clearly lazy. This place is absolutely horrible. You never know what you're going to get based on who works there that day. The middle aged Italian woman actually tried to sell me a "leftover" pizza after claiming they were unable to make new pizzas. When I asked how long the pizza had been sitting there she said "no idea". There are too many other great pizza joints in Akron to waste time with this shady place. Not sure what Kristofer is talking about, but this place has some of the best pizza in Akron! It's been in business since the 1960's. The sauce and crust are fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. It's in a very rough part of town, they don't deliver, and only accept cash, but it's well worth a trip there (just pay attention to your surroundings). read more

Will never support this "business" again. They close at 9 pm on Sunday's and I tried calling near 8 pm to place an order. I had to call several times and as if constant ringing and busy signals weren't enough, someone kept picking up and hanging up. I decided to go up there and at 8:15 (45 minutes before closing time) they tell me if I hadn't called in to place my order I can't order because they already took their last order. But I did call and was hung up on several times!! I said you don't close til 9 "well we took our last order" this company is unprofessional and rude. They cut people off an hour before closing time probably so they won't have to stay past 9. Well why not just close at 8? Ugh! Will never eat there again. read more

My experience was much less than good. A friend and I went there on some advice from others and found out the hard way that it was bad advice. The pizza was horrible. Not just bland, but just bad. Makes no sense that when he's working the phone is never answered which means you have to drive there to place your order then wait. I have no problem with that except if I ask to place my order and while I wait run to get cash and i'm told my ticket wont be placed until I pay, it makes no sense. What's the difference between me calling and coming to get it (pay when I arrive/pick up) and ordering and paying when I come to pick up? I am no longer a customer of Gino's pizza. The rude and grumpy lady who they have answering the phone is impatient and has no customer service skills. I tried to place an order for 2 large pizzas and an order of wings and was told we had to come pay for it first. What is the purpose of call ahead ordering if you have to pay first? Not to mention, l have ordered the exact same order several times before and never had to pay first. Certain employees of Gino's have been rude several times before, but I overlooked it. Today, not anymore. You shouldn't treat customers this way (especially when because of us customers, your busy is doing so well).
