I was so exited to try Randy's as I've heard great things about their donuts. The donuts themselves are delicious. They are so moist and the apple fritter was a huge hit in our house. They are really big and full of flavor but not too surgery. The service was okay. The girl working was not very helpful especially as a first time guest. She didn't explain the menu or what donuts she'd recommend. Overall we'd consider going back just wish the staff was more friendly and helpful. read more

I was bummed so was my son who loves donuts. I tried the matcha donut it was nothing big. It was considered a premier donut so $3.65 I believe the highest price and it didn't taste like anything but a yeast donut w regular glaze. The donut tasted day old. My son tried the s'mores donut another premier donut and it tasted a bit better and n flavor but being a yeast donut still tasted day old where the donut didn't taste nice and soft it had a oily bite to it. Not something we will make a special trip for or even attempt to go back. Service was great they were fast and friendly. read more

Went today and braved the grand opening madness. The donuts were sooo good. They managed to deal with the long lines in drive through and in person very well. We had the matcha and fruity pebbles donuts. Both were perfectly made and very tasty. read more

This was my first time at Randy's. They have a lot of selection, something anyone could find that they like. Their pricing is alright, not too expensive unless you're wanting a more premium kind of donut. I'm sure for a lot of folks there's a nostalgia attached to this chain. Finally got to try Randy's Donuts, and wow--these things are massive! I ordered two large glazed donuts, and honestly, one is big enough to share with 2-4 people (or just enjoy solo if you're feeling ambitious). Wow, simply wow! Every single one of these donuts were bomb(donut type mentioned under the photo)! I am unsure if they were fresh out of the over but they all were recently made enough to where the freshness was present. The donuts weren't overly sweet. And the packaging is visually striking. And the Texas donut is so huge but it wasn't dry at all the dough is so soft and pillowy. Oh my goodness, I can really go on and on about these donuts. I love the staff at this place--super nice and helpful. The donuts are also fantastic. They will help you make a great selection if it your first time there. Terrible donuts, threw $13.30 worth of donut away. The only thing good about the lemon old fashioned was the lemon on top, the donut was oily tasting, only 1 bite taken. The Long John cream filling and chocolate was the best thing luckily there was plenty of the cream and that is the only reason I ate it all. The Long John home for the tasty cream was oily tasting . The third donut was the Chocolate Crondy was under cooked, chewy, rubbery and disgusting I actually spat it into the trash and threw the rest away, Cinnamon roll, second lemon old fashioned. Also if what some reviews say the donuts are not made on site, that is terrible, To put the store front employees with this low quality product to sell and take any of the customer complaints. Also not making Donuts on-site is just not right. Don't tell us about how you're doing your best to train them because you're not. You are doing your staff an injustice by not supervising the training and ensuring they know what they are doing. Someone should be tasting the batches. What if you went to your favorite burger place and ordered a meal deal? Burger, fries and a soda and it cost you $13.30 and the burger was raw and the fries were half cooked. You complain to the manager and are told we are doing the best to train our employees. I called corporate and of the 9 possible extensions everyone I tried went straight to voicemail. Maybe it recognizes Phoenix area codes. In closing I don't think I will tell my favorite donut shop The Original Rainbow Donuts 15834 N Cave Creek Rd Phoenix, AZ 85032. That I cheated on them...just this once. read more

Excellent spot for Randy's Donuts. Our kiddos were super excited to see the giant donut outside. The donuts itself were super tasty and parking was very accessible. I'm gonna give Randy's 4 stars because I think they are really trying to improve. I did get a parbaked donut last time but this time much better. The employees are new and learning and I understand it will take time. This only issue I really have is the flags out front. It's very hard to see to make a left turn onto 7th street because the flags are so close to the sidewalk. It would be super helpful if they could move them back towards the store about a foot so they don't create a blind spot when you are trying to leave the store. 7th street is dangerous enough with the suicide lane and the flags are just an added obstacle. I drove up and was excited there was no line down 7th st. The drive thru was closed, but that was fine for me. I wanted to actually go in and see the hype as a first timer. As soon as I got out of my car ( parked by the dumpster) I could smell the donuts. My first thought was, nice! Cooking fresh all day. NOPE, bags and bags of wasted doughnuts piled BEHIND the dumpster. The RATS are going to have a hayday at night. Not to mention, this new business doesn't care about our neighborhood. The choices for basic doughnuts was limited at 2pm. There was about 6 useless employees standing around. It was so hot, the employees looked sweaty and clueless. The ONE employee that offered to help me was like molasses, he would do great at the DMV. As I asked a couple questions about his upsell offer, there was a customer huffing and puffing behind me. Finally, someone offered to help him. He yells out, I just want a glazed doughnut, she is asking too many questions. Yes, had to set him straight. So now I have to deal with the misery in the lobby and behind the counter. Now I have to say, the doughnuts in the dumpster area didn't look any different than what was in the case, but I bet they were cooked better. For all the reviews before me that claimed the donuts were dry and stale, they overcorrected! Today I was served UNDERCOOKED doughy donuts. Safeway donuts are better than these! Save yourself the hassle. Randy's, clean up your dumpster area and employees. Summer is going to be brutal, turn on the AC! read more

This was disappointing. I'm a Cali girl and love a good donut. I thought this would be worth the wait. First of all, two cashiers store doing nothing, three people stood doing nothing while one girl was doing EVERYTHING. Finally, a manager explained to them how customer service and long lines worked. We were waiting 3 minutes between customers until then which is insane. I had a sprinkle donut that was so dry I threw it away. Maybe it's a fluke but I don't get why they are this busy or popular in Cali. I'll definitely stick with rainbow. read more

Nothing like the OG South Central LA location back home on Century & Normandie. So disappointed in this new location and I really wanted to love this place! The donut case was almost empty and what was left didn't look anything like what I grew up eating. The staff were somewhat friendly. My son and his girlfriend got two donuts. I didn't buy anything. The kids said the donuts were ok. Two donuts cost over $6.00... don't waste your time. read more

The employee behind the counter was a bit standoffish, not rude or anything, just not super warm. but hey, maybe it was a long day, so I didn't take it personally. I picked up an assorted half dozen to try a little bit of everything. That's where things got a little mixed. About half the donuts were great, soft, fresh, and hit that perfect sweet spot. The other half? Pretty dry and tasted a bit like leftovers from the day before (or maybe even the day before that). So, I'm on the fence. If I come back, I'll probably stick with the classics instead of the "fun" or seasonal ones, and maybe swing by earlier in the morning when everything's freshly made. I wouldn't cross this place off completely. Just might need to catch them at their best time of day.

Other flavors included gochujang caramel, almond joy, churro, and blueberry crumble. It was hard choosing flavors cuz they all sounded great. I was rung up for 3 single donuts ($3.50 ea) and asked if that was correct. The employee said yes, as only the half dozen and dozen are discounted. I was tempted to get another 3 donuts but decided against it. We sampled the donuts after finishing our early dinner and the texture was spot on: light, chewy, and delicious. They're so fun and easy to eat too; you can pick off the balls and share them (if you want). Each of the toppings should differentiate the tastes, since the donut base is the same, but honestly none of them had strong flavors which was disappointing. The black sesame seeds did were the most flavorful, but not all of the balls had the seeds on them. Since I enjoy these donuts so much, I'd come back again, although not too often due to the price point.
