Maybe my expectations were too high. I have eaten at Gordon Ramsey establishments in Las Vegas and expected the same quality, sadly you won't find it here. The service was not great. We ordered the rolls for an appetizer. They brought out the rolls and butter and also a side of mayonnaise. To be fair I asked for some mayonnaise with my truffle fries so I was expecting it just not with the appetizers. The entrees weren't bad but they were incredibly average. At the end of dinner the waiter brought the bill, I paid with my debit card and when he brought it back he informed me that he went ahead and added an extra $10 to the bill because he forgot to charge us for water. Yeah ok. If you feel the need to charge me an extra $10 on a $240 bill for 3 people, go for it. I will never go back. If this place didn't have Gordon Ramseys name on it, it would be closed already. Tsk Tsk I'm really not the type to give mediocre reviews because if I don't like a place, I just won't return. Because it's simply not my taste. Since my expectations were not met and I expected more, I think I owe this review to Mr. Ramsay. Hello, Mr. Ramsay, perhaps it's time for you to visit this location and do your magic. They might need it. They need your touch. Here we go: We had a reservation for 14 at 8PM. Two people dropped off since they fell ill and saved the whole restaurant the misery of spreading virus with love. It's too late for this elderly but I will oblige, since it's your restaurant. We arrived right on time and waited 45 minutes to be seated. No biggie, we found two stools by the bar to wait for our table but quickly dispersed since we were blocking the narrow hallway in to the restaurant. In hindsight, where could the 12 of us have waited without being on the way? Since waiting seemed to be the theme of the night, it continued through the whole night. From putting in our order to getting our meals to getting refills for drinks and ordering more drinks to getting the bill, the staff stayed true to this "waiting" theme. I tell you what, one should appreciate that consistency. I must admit, the drinks were great and strong, so thank you, bartender! That's a star, right there! Also, admittedly, our group was quite lively, we forgot we were in Naperville and not in Vegas. So, perhaps this added to your waitstaff being intimidated to come near us. I would hope all the waiting would have made us anticipate the food that we longed for. However, to my dismay, the Caesar salad was blahh topped with very stale croutons. The fish and chips were just meh, although, the chips were superb, the flaky fish lacked taste. The tartar sauce only added to the disappointment. Maybe this is a low sodium option, however, my taste buds are not on a low sodium diet and was hoping for taste that the fish lacked. The winner, though, is the Pot de Crème. Now that is a total win! Two more stars! I had to try the beef Wellington and honestly, it was just ok. So, Mr. Ramsay, we came to expect to pay more than usual to come to your restaurant. The real estate at your location is undeniably expensive and your name is quite expensive, as well. I was hoping that this restaurant will be on brand with your reputation. I can clearly see how this review would seem as if I'm being critical of your staff, however, I see this more of a genuine and careful considerations for your business. No one will read this and be discouraged to try your establishment. Tried Ramsay's on Wednesday night (August 14th, 2024) what a great place....great atmosphere! It was my first time here and I was very impressed. Service: Our server was super friendly and helpful with my large group. He was very attentive and made sure my drinks stayed full (especially the adult drinks) :) Food: We absolutely enjoyed all the food. We ordered several appetizers (see pictures) and I had the salmon for dinner. It was cooked medium and to perfection. I had a gin drink (can't remember the name "Don't cha something" but it was very refreshing - so I had three) Sorry for not having all the details, but the most important details are that the food was FAB, the drinks were FAB, and the service was outstanding. Ramsey's is located in the heart of downtown Naperville. There is plenty of street parking and a parking lot right behind the restaurant. My husband and I came by for lunch on a Friday afternoon, when we walked in we were asked if we had a reservation (we didn't have one) but they were able to get us seated quickly. Upon being seated we were greeted by our server, Alison. She was an absolute delight. Sharing recommendations, and chatting with us about our experience. She thought a few steps ahead of what we may or may not need throughout lunch and made the experience super memorable. To start we got the crudo, it had a yuzu based sauce, it made the beautifully plated plate light, and refreshing. Highly recommend trying it. For our entrees we got the idiot sandwich and the burger. My husband and I split them so we could try both. The burger was juicy and flavorful without being too much. The jam and the onions added tons of flavors. While the idiot sandwich was stuffed with short rib, cheese and it was delish!ore often than not the short rib in sandwiches are dry but this was the opposite, it was quite literally dripping in the best way. For our sides we got both truffle fries and regular fries. The truffle fries were my favorite of the two but enjoyed both. They were crispy and were thicker which I prefer. For our drinks we both got mocktails, which they had tons of great options. We had the hibiscus sour and the love affair. The love affair had a lighter citrus taste and the hibiscus has more of a berry and fruity taste. Both super refreshing for a hot summers day. Excellent service and food. Rudy was an amazing bartender and gave us excellent service during our stay. We called ahead but reservations were limited so we sat at the bar. We both ordered crispy skin salmon as our entrees. The wine list was very extensive and we shared a crisp Sauvignon blanc. The menu is limited but lots of great meals and appetizers to select. The chocolate tart was to die for! The atmosphere is very chill and all of the staff are very nice. We enjoyed chatting with Lauren (Loren?) at the bar. After making a reservation the night before for Breakfast, we could not be seated, not because of power outage or computer issues, because they said they were understaffed. Meanwhile we see the line behind us building up with plenty seats available. Explaining we had a reservation and my Husband cant wait long being a diabetic. This was a special dinner at a hot restaurant, so I expected the hefty bill to be as such. I take no issue with the total. But the way the check was broken out offended me. Very shady. The specials were explained as "served with" various items. My wife's pork chop came with a dollop of potato salad, and my "seafood risotto" came with seafood in it. But on the bill, the potato salad and each type of seafood were billed separately. If they had just charged me one total price for each plate, I would have thought nothing of it. But if it had not been a secret that these were separate options, my wife might have ordered a different side, and I certainly would have skipped the tail-on shrimp. We had a delightful Christmas Day dinner. We ordered Crispy skin salmon, Beef Wellington, and the beef brisket sandwich with fries. All were spectacular and prepared very well. The Wellington was medium rare and so tender. The brisket was perfectly seasoned and had a great beefy taste without smothering it in rubs or sauces like so many bbq places do. The salmon was also perfectly seasoned and flakey. The crab cakes were the standout. So much lump crab meat and enhanced but not smothered by sauce or breadcrumbs. They have unique cocktails and a decent wine menu. The interior is comfortable booths or chairs with a chic cozy vibe. It was crowded but not overly loud. Our bartender/server was excellent and made excellent Aperol Spritz. The pannocotta and cheesecake for desert with espresso and cappuccino were a nice finish. You can enter the restaurant from North and South side. We were seated in the middle booths and were able to see all the action happening in the kitchen. Went at noon on a Saturday. It wasn't busy until 1 to 2pm they were packed. Our waiter Adam was wonderful and refilled our waters many times. Had the Mocktail Hibiscus Sour, which was sour from the lemons. Would be better to have during summer time. Started with Scotch Eggs, crispy on the outside and egg yolk was perfect. The mustard was a bit strong for me, but the flavors were delicious. Also tried the Parker rolls that comes out warm and soft. Came with butter to spread on them. Had the idiot sandwich with mixed green and chose ranch dressing. Definitely keep the tooth pick in so it doesn't fall apart. Had a good amount of meat and the pickles were delicious. Wish there were more pickles. Had a slight sweet taste, but not as sweet as BBQ sauce. Mixed greens were fresh and the ranch was creamy and thick. Last we wrapped up with Sticky Toffee Pudding which is amazing. Drink Review Only! First off, the interior design . I loved everything from the mixture of textures and patterns within the finishes selected for the space, the creative space planning to accommodate as much soft seating as possible, and the major features in the space: open kitchen, lighting, curved ceiling details. This exceeded what I thought the space would look like. Onto the drinks. I popped in with my partner for an evening cocktail and sat at the bar. I do wish there weren't tv's to display sports; it takes away from the atmosphere but I get the commercial need for them. We ordered the One Last Kiss and Spiced Pear. Both were well balanced, garnished well, and presented in nice glassware. The Spiced Pear was subtle and creamy whereas the One Last Kiss was fruity with a dry bite at the end. Both were equally delicious and cost $16 & $17. The only draw back was our bartender was hustling from being busy. Early on he asked if we wanted water, we said yes, but never got them. Ok- what it is - it belongs to Ramsay's empire (of sorts) and of course that meant we HAD to try it - so, ready for an early Valentine's meal? We headed over to see what all the fuss was about. We were promptly greeted and seated (we had a reservation, natch!) and had a nice little booth for two in the long and skinny restaurant. Service was slightly slow, but impeccable. We started with the lump crab cake app, and I had the potato and leek soup - yummies to both! Hub-hub has a thing for the Beef Wellington, so he ordered this pricey signature dish (and promptly fell in love with it!). I had the Butter Chicken - sad to say, the rice was a bit undercooked, and the naan just - wasn't. Naan should have a nice flavor but- here it felt underwhelming. A bit more effort, please, Mr. Ramsay, would be nice! For our dessert we had a lovely sticky toffee pudding (also pretty darned decadent and well-worth eating!). Oh, yeah. We'll definitely come again, but I'll not order the Butter Chicken. Ambience? Check. Service? Pretty spot on. But one question- why don't you use portable terminals so we can pay at the table? We ended up getting a window seat that looked out to the street so in the end it was worth it. Our waitress was great and asked us what we were celebrating (our 15th). Drinks came out fast and were great. The appetizers we got were hot and fresh and so flavorful! The mains...this is where I'm divided. The Tomato and Saffron rissoto was amazing...Im going to replicate it. The lobster tail unfortunately was slightly bland. The beef wellington was not really what i expected. It looks pretty on camera and in person but was not seasoned at all; the wine sauce was adding all the flavor. The carrot and potato puree tasted amazing. Went with a friend to catch up and while the company was nice, the meal and experience were mediocre at best. It's way too loud inside -- so much that we could barely hear our waiter. We went on a Monday night and felt rushed through our meal -- multiple servers, including our waiter on multiple occasions tried to take away plates that still had food on them! It seemed as soon as we each decided not to buy a second $19+ cocktail (hey, people have to drive home), we weren't worth keeping at the table - despite a pretty hefty tab at the end. It's also pretty overpriced for the quantity and quality you get. I don't need huge portions,, but when you pay $50+ for steak frites in suburbia, you should get at least a full portion of the steak. You may think this is just another famous celebrity chef restaurant with over priced items and sub par food. I can tell you that you are far from incorrect. Not only is the ambience of this place outstanding but it's the little things that add a touch. Along with why this place thrives. The scallops and pork belly with the apricot squash. The flavor from the sweat apricot then the saltiness of the pork belly with the melting of the fat and the buttery smooth scallop. No words can describe how your entire pallet is feeling, the party that goes on. Your taste buds go from 0 to 1k and then to sadness as nothing is left in your mouth but the memory so you go back for bite 2. The asparagus and the Parmesan cheese with the lemon zest and butteriness like how is this possible that an asparagus can taste so amazing. Oh and the snap but yet not over cooked nor undercooked. The brócolini and the spiciness from the garlic but not so overpowering that it's not satisfying and the toasted garlic that just makes you want more. I know you want to hear about the salmon and how it's just perfection with the crispy skin that's like a thin crack with flavor but not fishy not salty like I can't stop eating this chip. The steak frits and the sauces I mean every dish I tried I could smell the ingredients I could taste them they all worked so well together. The end the chocolate tart that chocolate layer that goes into the salted carmel it like being a kid again and tasting candy for the first time, like the sweet moment you realize this is life. I brought my grandparents to Ramsay's Kitchen. We parked in the parking lot behind the main entrance, so already, there was a lot of walking to the "front" entrance. My grandmother had a walker. When we approached the hostess stand, there was a younger female (hostess I'm assuming) on the phone as well as THREE men in suits with RK (Ramsey's Kitchen) pins on their lapels. We were never greeted. I asked the closest man in the suit and lapel pin if we could put our names down. Nobody else was waiting, but the restaurant was bustling! He said "it'll be just a sec..." but did nothing! He didn't move. He didn't check the computer. He barely looked at us! The woman was still on the phone (clearly he was waiting for her), but I've got my grandmother here with her walker! Say something more than "it'll be just a sec"! And it was not "just a sec". We waited for a solid 5-7 minutes just staring at this manager type guy in a suit and branded lapel pin DOING NOTHING FOR US. He then told us it would be a 30 min wait, so we gave him our names. He responded "but you'll have to wait for her (the younger female) to be off the phone". So again, no solution to the problem or sense of urgency for my grandmother with her walker. When we finally did get seated- it was immediately after the gal got off the phone. She was incredibly apologetic and lovely. Our server was personable ands even spilled the beans that his manager was buying our appetizer. We ordered 2 apps and only one was comped. Fine. It was a nice gesture. The problem I have though is with the lack of communication from that manager guy. As far as the food went, the scotch egg was incredible. The fish and chips was a giant piece of perfectly breaded fish. Everything was just whatever. This is a nice mid level date night spot, not dive bar but not high end either even though the prices are more towards top end. Starting off with the sticky wings and the Parker rolls which were both very good. Then I had a 14oz New York strip which was off the menu, it wasn't bad not high end steakhouse quality but it was good. Our server was Jennifer. She was awesome !!! Came here for my son's 14th birthday as he is a huge fan of Hells Kitchen. Started the meal off with an order of the Parker rolls (12.00). They come in a cast iron dish (it's hot!) with a delicious buttery crust and sea salt sprinkle. Added on a scotch egg as that is one of my husband and my favorites. It was done perfectly. It was a single egg cut in half on a bed of shaved Brussel sprouts. It was good. But to me 13.00 was a bit pricey. Jennifer recommended a great bottle of red blend (letting us try before buying) that was 56.00. Not a bad price for a good bottle of wine in my opinion. On to the mains. Husband got the famous beef Wellington. It was done on the rarer side of medium rare and he liked it. He did expect the puff pastry to be a bit crisper but other than that it was done to his liking (69.00). The kid got fish and chips (29.00). It was a huge piece of haddock that was beer battered and looked fantastic. He really liked it. I got a seafood risotto. I didn't ask the price (mistake on my part). It was good (the lobster was a bit overdone and chewy in my opinion) the cost however made me do a double take. It was billed as an elite risotto (which it was and very good mind you) (22.00) add 2 large scallops (21.00) and 3 shrimps (12.00) that would have been enough for me and a fine price, but then there was the small lobster at 26.00 ! This made for a grand total of 81.00. For risotto. At that price point I would have just gotten scallops and a side and still been ahead. But again this was my bad for not asking about the price upon ordering. We ended up getting two desserts, the sticky toffee pudding (16.00) and for my son the lemon cheesecake (14.00). I was kind of surprised that there wasn't a birthday dessert of some kind offered to my son being that was the reason we were there. But again I didn't ask, just assumed that since we had mentioned on the reservation and again when we got there that it was for his birthday. All in all it was a good meal. Was it worth the almost 400.00 price tag ? Probably not. And I don't know if it was that great that we would return anytime soon. But for a fun one of a kind thing it was nice. read more

Recently stopped by to celebrate two birthdays - mine and my daughter's 16th. We had a great experience as soon as we walked in! Super friendly and helpful staff and amazing food options. I've always wanted to try scallops so we ordered some as an appetizer and they were perfection..and I'm not a seafood fan for the most part! I loved that they have specials that are off menu because our server recommended the roast and it was hands down the best birthday meal I've ever had (and I love to try different upscale spots for birthdays). The meat was so delicious and tender. My daughter had a steak with chimichurri on top and she said it was seasoned perfectly and was great. For dessert we tried the Strawberry Eton Mess. It was so light and not too sweet..a perfect dessert for us to share. The staff surprised us with sticky toffee pudding for each of us with a candle too! That was so nice! This is the 2nd time we've been here. The first time was just for experience. 2nd time hubby wanting to try Beef Wellington and they only offer it after 5 pm. To him Wellington was a disappointment. I can't even tell you the stars he gave out of 10. He just feels it was too raw in the middle. But to others it might be good. To me, it was ok. I didn't like the sweet sauce. But we both loved the tiny mash potatoes decoration that came on the plate. My lobster and shrimp spaghetti was delicious but it's tiny portion. 3 jumbo shrimp and 3 pieces pierced of lobster. plus 2 toasted bread. I would order this again. Celebrated my friend's 25th birthday here. Very surprised at first to find out that there is a Ramsay kitchen in downtown Naperville. I've been to the one in Vegas and I have to say the beef Wellington here is so much better, less dry and more packed with flavor. As a person who has attended a few Ramsay restaurants all over the United States, I was happy to hear about this location close to home. I knew I had to visit this place and was finally able to. The location is very easy to find in downtown Naperville. There is a parking lot behind them, as well as a huge parking garage a little more to the north. If the lot is full, then the parking garage should have ample parking options. I walked inside and was greeted right away. The location is beautiful, and they designed it very well with comfortable booths. It has an open kitchen but there was no noise and no cooking odors. For dinner, my wife and I ordered the Tuna Tartare. I ordered the daily special which was Lobster Pot Pie, and my wife ordered the Scallops. We decided to splurge by sharing the truffle fries. Finally, for dessert, we shared the sticky toffee pudding. I recommend the dessert if nothing else. My favorite dessert from all of his restaurants! The serving sizes of each of these portions were huge. I went in starving and left beyond full. The tuna was fresh and had a nice saltiness to it. The fish wasn't salty but the chili garlic soy added a hint of Asian flare. It was not spicy and it came with 4 wontons. We were able to get extra for no charge. My Lobster Pot Pie was a vegetable bisque that came in a little cast iron pot, with a huge puff pastry on top and a side of lobster poached in butter. It was a good way to ensure everyone got lobster in this bisque. The flavor and meal were good but it did not wow me as much as I thought. While the server did mention bisque, I was expecting a pot pie and not a bisque. The puff pastry was massive and hard to break into. The lobster, however, was delicious. However, if/when I return, I do not think I will get it again. Truffle fries were plentiful. It arrived with a side of ketchup and truffle aioli The fries were decently crispy but didn't have a huge crunch to them. However, it did not stop me from finishing it all. My wife was very happy with the scallops. Good balance of flavor and great sear on those scallops. I had a bite and regret not getting that one. It also came with some pork belly which had a nice balance of flavor. Finally, our sticky toffee pudding arrived. It has been a few years since I have gotten one from one of his other restaurants but it was as magical as I remember. This location has it in a shallow bowl with plenty of toffee sauce. Overall, it was a great meal Our server was top-notch. He was very friendly and attentive. He explained the entire menu and beverage menu. He gave us his recommendations and explained a lot of food items. Overall, I was very happy with the service. In the end, the service was great. Food prices were reasonable. Our bill was much cheaper compared to the previous Ramsay restaurant. it is not cheap by any means but I have ordered the same amount of food and the other places would have been about 50% more expensive. Like many other people, I've been to a Gordon Ramsay red in Las Vegas and watch Hell's Kitchen - so naturally I'm excited to have a location close to home. Chef brings an elevated level of sophistication to this beautiful remodel (previously Ted Montana's Grill) in the heart of Naperville. The high expectations of Chef Ramsay are honestly what keep you coming back to his restaurants - From the personable and friendly service to the extra attention to detail to handcrafted beverages and of course the astonishing food menu - there's not much to top here as he sets the bar high. The chicken Milanese was absolutely phenomenal, the Caesar salad was perfection, beef Wellington was succulent, and the sticky toffee pudding was finger licking good. My drink was amazing too. Came here this week for my birthday. My experience echoes many other reviewers as I will say the food was excellent if not closely trumped by the service. Our server Allison was amazing with excellent recommendations. We also asked for extra wontons with the tuna tartare which was provided and no extra charge and the toffee cake was divine. Our plates were basically licked clean at the end. Allison suggested the chicken Milanese which is not a dish I would normally pick but it was incredible. I had a reservation for Monday at 4:45 PM for a group of four. I was concerned before we arrived due to the early time but it worked well as an early dinner. As soon as we arrived, we were taken to our seats. We were seated in a comfortable alcove with plush seats and an elegant long table. Our server came over pretty quickly and took our drinks. I was happy to see that there were a couple mocktails on the menu. I ordered the LYCHEE COOLER which was nice but on the slightly too sweet side except for a slight bitter note from the lychee possibly. Throughout the night, service was great. Our server was attentive but possibly due to our seating area it was occasionally a bit difficult to get his attention if we needed something but he always came to check up on us periodically so it did not end up to be an issue. For our starters we tried: WEDGE SALAD: A really large portion of lettuce covered with cheese and dressing. The thick cut bacon was delicious and the cherry tomatoes and pickled red onions were a great compliment to all the items as well. TUNA TARTAR: The tuna was very fresh and came with a great choice of avocados. The flavor profile was a bit strange though especially with the side of sour cream. They also came with some deep fried wontons. There should have been more pieces though because there was not enough to go with the amount of tuna there was. For our mains we tried: BUTTERNUT TAGLIATELLE: The portion was very small. I didn't realize the purée was only on the bottom so the top of the dish was very bland and also unfortunately cold. The flavor of the purée was quite light but nice. However, I would skip this in the future. BEEF WELLINGTON: The tenderloin was just like the name states, so tender. Flavor was light on the meat itself; however with the puff pastry and the other items itself it ended up being a bit on the saltier side. The mashed potatoes on the side though were so delicious. STEAK FRITES: The steak was very tender; however, we had asked for our steak to be medium rare and instead they gave us closer to rare in the center cuts of steak. We asked to switch to truffle fries as our side and the flavors was great. Both sauces it came with were tasty but the spicy aioli had quite a kick to it. We shared two sides as well ROASTED HEIRLOOM CARROTS: Such tender carrots and flavor was great especially with the yogurt. The pieces of peanuts also gave it a nice crunch. CRISPY BRUSSEL SPROUTS: Nice flavor and very well roasted sprouts. For dessert we shared the VANILLA MASCARPONE CHEESECAKE which was so delicious and a must order. That lemon cream on the bottom was amazing. All in all, a great dinner experience with comforting decor and wonderful service. Recommend making reservations even for lunch on weekends. Inside was a very modern vibe with TVs around the bar. Hot roast beef sandwich with truffle fries: Wished the beef was a little more tender, but otherwise was fine Caesar salad: The pancetta was too salty and we ended up leaving it in the bowl. Maitake mushrooms: Delicious, but portion was very small. Sticky toffee pudding: They gave this to us complimentary for our anniversary, which was nice of them. Toffee flavors came through nicely. My experience here mirrors what others have said before. The decor is quite nice inside, fitting with the idea of dining in kitchen by Gordon Ramsay. The service is top notch, very attentive and our server was quite knowledegable about the food. Prices are a bit on the high side, even for finer dining in the area. You get the option of English dishes that aren't that easy to find on menus in the Chicago area. Portion sizes are alright, though the food is plated fairly nicely here. As many have also noted, the food is probably the weaker point here. Even if you don't consider the price of the food and the quality of the ingredients, the flavors are a bit on the bland side and fairly forgettable. Some of my thoughts on different items: Parker rolls - Hot and pretty fluffy. The sea salt butter does go pretty well with it but the fresh herbs are kind of lost. Portion size is pretty generous so you'd probably want 4 at your table to share if you order this. Fish and chips - The breading was actually quite nice on this and the fish was provided in nice thick fillets. Not the best I've ever had but it was done fairly well. Beef wellington - The filet is quite tender but I felt that the pate and duxelles overwhelmed the meat entirely and therefore didn't enjoy the flavor combination much. The potato puree was also a bit gooey for me, though I did like the preparation of the baby root vegetables. Baked mac and cheese - An okay side, the smoked cheddar was nice but I found that the dish overall seemed to be lacking salt. The chives were a bit lost for me, though the toasted breadcrumbs did add a nice texture. Sticky toffee pudding - Warm and alright. The date flavor wasn't overpowering and the ice cream did add a nice element of fat to the dish. The English toffee sauce wasn't overly sweet but it also didn't do enough to tie the elements of the dish together. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal with the nicely decorated restaurant, great service, and nicely plated dishes which made for great pictures. Ok. So my Son specially requested his birthday be celebrated at Ramsey's Kitchen in Naperville because we went there last summer and had an amazing beef Wellington dish. I made the reservation one week in advance and specifically asked if our 3pm appointment would be acceptable to order the beef Wellington since this is the dish my Son requested. The lady said oh yes, we serve it all day. Great! I made a reservation for seven and we arrived promptly at 3pm on feb 22nd. Once seated at the table, the first thing the waitress told us was the full menu was available except the beef Wellington. We all thought it was a joke, but sadly, no it was not. Since we were all there and seated we decided to order from the rest of menu despite all our disappointment especially my 35 year old Son. The waitress took our drink order, appetizer order, and main course order. The drinks never showed up until all the appetizers were on the table. I had to ask the appetizer servers to please get our drinks out to us, if they wouldn't mind. The drinks then came pretty much right away after that . The appetizers were awesome. We all enjoyed the crab cakes, peppers, hot buns, But the main courses were pretty average and nothing special. A few of us got the fish and chips and a few the prime rib sandwich. I've had 100% better prime rib sandwiches at Cooper's hawk where they serve their fries in a heated vessel and give the au jus on the side for dipping as well as a creamy sauce. This Ramsey allegedly prime rib sandwich was a lower grade of sliced roast beef slapped on a homemade bun with fries on the side and a side of ketchup! Not what I was expecting for Ramsey. The fish was a jumbo piece of breaded fish thrown on the plate. Again pretty average. The very mixed state of the restaurant demonstrated the place seems to be in a bit of disarray. I feel slighted to say the least , as I was trying to provide my Son with his requested favorite dish for a landmark birthday. Although the Manager (allegedly the Manager) came up to the table to apologize, I felt it was an empty apology. At the end of the dinner, the waitress gave us a couple coupons to come back another time. My Son said he will never be coming back. If it were not for my immediate family making light of the situation and still dining in a celebratory manner, it would've been a disaster. A few issues here: 1. we were never informed at any point the signature dish would be unavailable prior to being seated. 2. There seemed to be one waitress for the whole restaurant. 3. Nobody cared enough to want to make the seven disappointed people even slightly happy we picked that restaurant. 4. If we were told prior to seating, it would have been so much better. A call preferably would have been professional. But even prior to seating would have been better than the unhappy birthday surprise. As stated, I was given a couple coupons for my next visit after the bill was paid. Luckily I planned the desert at my home afterward, and that went well because I was organized. read more
