This place was so good. We got medium and a small side of the sauce on the side which I recommend. Next time I think will keep the food in the bag to keep it warm for longer! Crab legs: very good Green Mussels: amazing better than the crab legs Crawfish: this was pretty good Cajun pasta: this was good and we got this spicy with shrimp.

Great first experience for a seafood boil with my nieces who have been wanting to give it a try for a while now. We arrived around 7pm on a Wednesday and they have a big dining room with plenty of tables, a couple of TVs and it what looks like a stage area too. There were a few other occupied tables and some recently empty ones that were cleaned up quickly after we sat down. The staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable and able to answer questions and our waitress even asked if we would like her to pour our boil out for us when she brought it to the table which was appreciated. It was hard to decide between everything on the menu while also trying to avoid going overboard but since it was just me and my two tween nieces I ended up choosing the Seashack Shareable combo #3 which comes with a pound each of snow crab, Dungeness crab and shelled shrimp along with 2 corn cobs and potatoes. I was a bit worried that my younger niece might not like the food so I ordered some fries and garlic bread to go along with the boil and both of these tasted good. My niece had had her heart set on trying king crab so it was a letdown to learn they were out for the day but the generous size of the dungeness and snow crab legs we received and the tasty cajun garlic flavor made her quickly forget all about it as she happily cracked and devoured from the big bowl in front of us. I ordered the mild option for spice level as the girls were afraid that any spice would be too much for them to enjoy but they ended up wishing we had at least got a little bit. Ended up with a bill of around $150 with tip included so it's a bit up there in terms of price point but I left with a good impression as it was a very good value for the quality and the size of the servings. I actually had to have about a 1/4 pound wrapped up to go. Needless to say we will be coming back to Sea Shack again soon.

I went here with my friends for a birthday party. Love the food with affordable price. Ordered the family combo and it was really delish!!

My sister was craving seafood and we were in the Naperville Area so here we are. The service was great! The place is nice. It has a small stage which makes me think there are performers sometimes. The food was good. I think better than some cajun food places I have been too. It was deifinitely ok especially for the price. They have some scallops too which not all placea have. If you are in the area and craving seafood. This is definitely a place to consider. Happy eating!!!!

My seafood boil flavor was good but everything was miniature sized. Really minature, potato the size of a cherry tomato, 1 egg and 2 half sizes of corn. Your entire boil can fit into that tiny wooden bowl so you can imagine the size.

I came in with high hopes and was disappointed. We walked in and the dining room looks less than half decorated, and was less than half full on Father's Day. That should have been a bad sign, but I hoped based on the reviews that the food would make up for the lack of decor. We probably messed up by ordering the Cajun Rice dishes. Maybe the Boils would have been better, but we were were put off about those because they were bringing the seafood out to people's tables in clear plastic bags, shaking the bag, and dumping it in a bowl in front of the customer. I've had many a low country boil, and don't know how they mix it up in the kitchen, but plastic bag delivery to table doesn't seem right. The fried rice tasted like something you buy in the frozen section at the supermarket. The veggies in it were undeniably from a bag of frozen vegetables at the supermarket. (Peas, green beans, carrots, and corn... and the undeniable cut and texture of frozen vegetable medley.) The only thing Cajun about the dish was that the rice was over-seasoned with Cajun seasoning powder. It also didn't help that the fried mushroom appetizer squirted me with scalding oil when I bit into it, and that all 3 of our orders came out in 3 separate shifts. My wife was almost finished eating before my food came to the table.

Family Combo- Medium, (also got a side of Spicy and it was SO DANG GOOD! )

the seafood was VERY FRESH and was not over cooked, better than any cajun style seafood boils we've had in chicago suburbs. THE SHRIMP PEELS yesss 10/10 service everyone was friendly and came to check on us regularly with thoughtful conversation my friends and i are BIG FOODIES. and i think we just found our favorite spot

Its my first time to dine in here. Place look awesome and they ambiance is great. They have cajun shrimps and crabs. They cajun sauce is just perfect. Not too salty. Would comeback to try another dish.

The food was pretty good. I would definitely recommend going up in spice level like other reviews say. Service was amazing, our waitress was so nice. Ambiance was pretty nice, the place was spacious and music was good. Some small things I noticed that did not deter from wanting to eating here again though, the crab cracker tool did not come until the majority of crab had already been eaten because all of their tools were still being sanitized when we first started eating. Additionally, my friend had only ordered sausage but ended up getting corn and potatoes too. It wasn't a big deal and we didn't get charged for it so it was just a nice bonus. Overall, pretty happy with the experience and we demolished the food!!

They promise "a dining experience" on their website, but I could get the same experience at your average Chili's or TGIFriday's without the pretense. Why do I say that? It's the noise...oh, the noise. There were a few tables with large parties, so it was pretty loud. Even leaning in closely, it was hard for my friend and me to hear each other talk. And the screaming kids were something else, emitting ear-piercing screams that get your attention, for all the wrong reasons. I didn't see any staff ask the large parties to keep it down or ask the parents to manage their children, which I guess I can understand. Large parties = more revenue than a two-top. But we did not - could not - linger after we ate our meals, or order coffee, dessert, and/or an after-dinner drink, because it was just too loud in there.

Our server, Katie, was amazing. She was attentive, funny, and gave great recommendations on both food and drinks. The menu has a wide variety of options, so her guidance definitely helped. We ordered hibachi, which was delicious and a fun experience. The chef put on a great show and even gave us cues for slow motion videos, which made it extra memorable. A few people in our group ordered sushi and said it was really good as well. I had the shrimp dinner and added calamari on the side. The shrimp portion was generous, and everything tasted great. My only complaint is the noodles. They were very thin, similar to Pad Thai noodles, and I personally prefer thicker hibachi noodles. The soup was one of the best I've tasted. The ambiance was cute and spacious, with a cool fish tank and the drinks were a highlight. I had a coconut sake drink that was so good I'd honestly go back just for that. Overall, great food, fun atmosphere, and excellent service. I would definitely return.

It was pretty empty when we arrived and we were seated immediately. The Good: Our happy hour drink (Tito's lemonade I believe) didn't have much alcohol, however, the manager gave us an extra shot in our drink which we greatly appreciated! Fantastic service on his part! I liked that he came out and explained how he can accommodate us with our drinks! Areas of Improvement: We had the Sailors Seafood boil - Cajun Original Wayyyyyy too spicy! We enjoy a mild Cajun flavor so this did not really appeal to us Lacked butter and flavorful seasoning Some of our red potatoes were not fully cooked and hard Some of the corn was also under cooked Potatoes and corn should melt in your mouth. I love my potatoes to be tender! We should not have to go home to finish cooking food. The shrimp were over cooked and tough. I took home the leftovers to see what I could do with this meal. This bag was full of oil not a good seasoning just oil. Recommendations: Make sure all of the food is tender! Please do not overcook the seafood! The Cajun original seasoning needs some serious work. There should be a mild buttery Cajun flavor option Add some butter to your boils not just a bunch of oil Make sure to be a bit more generous with the alcohol in the happy hour drinks! Hopefully Red Lobster will take these tips and this review into consideration. Keep at it!

It's a beautifully converted old mansion with manicured outdoor spaces and an elegant interior. The white tablecloth atmosphere delivers on the promise of a special night out. That said, if you're coming expecting a transportive Spanish dining experience, temper those expectations. A few decorative plates on the walls aside, the space reads more traditional Southern manor than Iberian escape. Charming, yes. Spanish, not really. Now the food, because that's where things get interesting. The cream of rice soup was a genuine highlight. Buttery, brothy, deeply comforting. The kind of dish that makes you lean in after the first spoonful. The baguette served alongside it though? Stale. Sliced too far in advance and the butter arrived ice cold, straight from the fridge. At $100 plus per person, that is a detail that matters. The Queso con Pacanas had beautiful individual components but suffered from what became a recurring theme of the night: strong flavors competing rather than collaborating. The pungent cheese steamrolled everything else on the plate. The wine soaked pears showed up again later on the Chuleta de Cerdo, and while the idea is lovely, serving a pear half unsliced in a fine dining context means you're asking the guest to do compositional work that the kitchen should have already done. The Jamón Iberico is the most expensive item on the menu and the meat itself is worth every penny. Nutty, buttery, exceptional on its own. But the parmesan blanketing the flatbread crisps overpowered it completely, and a lone raw garlic clove sitting on the plate with no instruction is not fine dining. Our server was sweet enough to explain you're meant to rub it on the cracker yourself, and she handled it with grace, but that explanation should not have been necessary. The Patatas Bravas were well seasoned with a solid aioli but landed mushy rather than crispy. A miss. The Gambas a la Plancha was the clearest win of the evening and not by coincidence. It was the simplest dish. Well seasoned shrimp, bright lemon butter, nothing fighting for attention. Sometimes restraint is the whole answer. The Chuleta de Cerdo had a beautifully cooked, smoky and peppery pork chop and a mushroom sauce that genuinely complemented it. But then the cinnamon heavy root vegetable puree pulled the whole plate in a completely different direction. Our server was genuinely wonderful, funny and warm and attentive even while training a new hire. She was the clearest bright spot of the service experience and the one thing we left talking about fondly. We left the rest of the meal a little baffled. The head chef hails from Valencia, and we were told that influence shows in the food. Maybe it does and our palates just weren't reading it. But between the confused flavor profiles, the inconsistent execution, and a cuisine identity that felt more scattered than intentional, we walked out laughing and scratching our heads more than satisfied. Beautiful place. Lovely server. The food just never quite found itself.

Tonight felt especially memorable and worthy of a proper review. We usually avoid Friday nights because Vai's is almost always packed... and after tonight, it became crystal clear why. Diane and I were craving a standout meal, a little comfort, and a relaxing evening together. What we received was far beyond dinner service. We were treated like valued regulars and genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. Pete, who I believe is the manager, recognized us immediately and encouraged us to put our name on the waiting list despite the crowd. I'm grateful he did. While we waited, we sat outside near the fire on a cool evening, which added another layer of warmth and ambiance to an already inviting atmosphere. Within minutes, Pete came outside personally to let us know two seats had opened at the bar. That level of attentiveness matters. As soon as we walked in, Eliot and Mallory greeted us with smiles and authentic positive energy. Not forced. Not transactional. Genuine. They made us feel appreciated simply for being there. Even on one of the busiest nights imaginable, they engaged with guests with the same warmth and attentiveness we've experienced during quieter weekday visits. In the background, Morgan was crafting cocktails with precision while still finding time for a familiar nod that quietly says, "Good to see you again." That kind of hospitality cannot be faked. We ordered our favorite dish, the Lobster & Shrimp Rigatoni and once again it was exceptional. Rich, consistent, perfectly prepared, and easily one of the best dishes in Naperville. Without us even asking, the kitchen thoughtfully split the entrée onto two plates. That small gesture perfectly captures what makes Vai's special... attention to detail seems woven into everything they do. From the fire outside to the flowers inside, from the cocktails to the consistency of the food, Vai's creates an atmosphere that feels welcoming, polished, and sincere all at once. Authenticity and respect seem embedded in the culture there. Tonight was a standout evening for us, and I'm genuinely glad we decided to stay despite the crowd. Pete, Eliot, Mallory, Morgan, and the entire staff - thank you for reminding us what great hospitality looks like. Outstanding indeed.
