Went to the deli to buy 1 chicken leg and 1 chicken thigh at 8:40pm. Lady literally sifts through with the tong, grabs a chicken piece and realizes it's of a decent size, then doesn't grab it anymore and searches for the smallest size she can find.. for both pieces. Because it is priced by piece and not by size, I get the worst deal possible. Seriously lady? I didn't speak my mind, I thanked her and walked away and paid $4 for 2 stupidly small chicken leg and thigh. I go to this location to get my groceries. This one trip to the deli changed all that. The store manager Mr flores is not a great manager at all in this Ralphs location. Went tgere for a job interview. I was told by him he had no idea that there was an interview. Was drinking a water and ringing up customers at register. Said he would have to do a quick interview because he has other things to do. Very rude behavior from someone who things this is how you manage a store. This is not how a person who runs a store should act to employees. I have been a customer at this location for more than 20 yrs and today was the worst experience I had. The Cashier on check out stand #5 whoever that was at around 7pm was so rude! I was originally at check out #2 Express counter when Cashier #5 opened and the lady cashier said she can help the next customer. No one walked over so I proceeded to put my stuff on the check out counter. The cashier told me " No" and then yelled " next customer in line please.." i had only 2 items and I was already there... She refused to ring my items! So I took my stuff amd went to the next counter. Whoever that cashier was needs to be re-trained about courtesy and how to treat their paying customers!! Very rude !!! The bakery/deli workers look like meth heads, and the cake shelves looked dirty. The employees stood around gossiping while in the middle of talking to customers. They can't keep track of simple orders, and have already lost many orders. Go to the granary square location instead. read more

This review is for their delivery service. I placed an order today because I am isolating. First it took an hour to set up an account. Then I placed an order for 17 items and only received 7 and two of those were wrong. The delivery person said they were out of a lot, which I understand, but why did the website say they have the items available a couple of hours after my incomplete order? Either they need a new IT department or a new delivery person. read more

For the most parts Ralph's is a nice place to shop. My regular store is in North Hollywood on Laurel Cyn. And the workers there are really nice and polite. I only come to this one when im up visiting my folks. Something about this Ralph's upsets their employees. Constantly getting sighs and rolled eyes when you ask for things like extra bags or cigarettes. If it wasn't for the ralphs on Orchard Village closing I wouldn't bother coming here. read more

WOw, i have had a bad experience every time i go into this Ralphs. the woman manager is a bitter rude shrewd woman. The old fat man clerk is unhelpful and grumpy. The youngsters who work there are sweet as apple pie while the elder staff carry a chip on the shoulder. Clean store... I used to work for Ralph's 20 years ago... I just hope they don't have the box people clean the meat department like we used to back then lol! Well I live across the street and is so convenient... I broke a jar of molasses in the parking lot and usually I'll clean up my own messes thank you very much but this mess was a sticky glass induced disaster... Went in and told one of the box kids and he cleaned it up for me without rolling of the eyes or any of that stuff... That was refreshing nowadays.... Not too shabby. There is plenty of parking, the cashiers are all very nice and upbeat. There is a very large selection of food there which is very nice. They have very good prices on wine. They provide bathrooms for their customers that are not in the back where the shipping bays and inventory bays are. read more

Good location for Stevenson Ranch. Prices are not above average for other Ralphs stores in the area... the main downfall is no bags (you are charged). The other downfall is that they do not offer boreshead meats at this location. Otherwise I'd frequent here more often. I do like the regular staff and they are always nice and even remember your name. read more

I went to Ralph's on Pico tonight to return a box of 4 cupcakes purchased on my way home at the Ralph's on Mc Bean because they were dry and stale. I went to the customer service counter and did not get a hi can I help you! Instead I had to start the conversation and advised the person at the desk they were dry and stale. The response was we don't sell them here. I said aren't all Ralph's stores one. Can I exchange for something else? No immediate response, then I told them to shove these cupcakes and there lousy customer service. As I walked out they tried to call me back. I generally receive good customer service at this store, which is what makes this interaction so surprising. I went to the deli and asked if they had chicken tenders. One of the associates who had gloves on and was mixing, called over the other, named Alex. I asked him and he pointed. No words, just a finger point. Normally Ralphs is a top notch chain. This is the exception. The seafood guy was so not into helping me. First I stood and waited for about 10 minutes at the counter for someone to show up. He was 20 feet behind me talking with his buddy. Thats not really the bad part..anyone can have a bad day....I finally found someone working there and asked for help and she pointed to this guy. I walk near in the open crowded aisle and he's talking about some bar where the chicks are all silicon. This is so inappropirate for a customer in a store let alone an employee. There is only one reason I go here, not to get ripped off because you will; not because there are no other grocery stores, there is one down the street; but because it is across the street. Clean check. Friendly, half check. Stocked checked. Highly over priced dub check and if Darice the checkout clerk isn't there.... I've been shopping at this Ralphs for 15 years. It's very clean and well stocked and the employees are what makes this place. Employees are polite and helpful. The checkout lanes are quick, and they open up registers when there are just a couple of people in line. The cashiers are so upbeat and energetic and nice! Oh my word! I usually shop at the Ralph's on Decoro and Mcbean Pkwy, but I stopped into Claim Jumper for lunch and figured what the heck! I immediately regretted giving this store a chance. It was more like a Food 4 Less than Ralph's. The store didn't carry the usual Boar's Head Deli meat I get, so instead I have some knock off, God knows what it's going to taste like in the fridge. Then I got a chance to be followed by a bunch of loss prevention associates as well as employees assuming I was stealing, which seems to be normal in SCV. As usual I just simply ignore it and let the real thieves do their job and get away with it. As I stroll over to their God forsaken produce department I pick up a bag of red skin potatoes...bad. I try another. Bad. Another. Bad. Another. Bad! Until I realize they are all disgusting, and this store is disgusting, and as I'm writing this review and eating this dry sad excuse for a nectarine,which I bought at this location, which by the way is the reason I had to get on YELP and complain about this specific location. We've shopped here for many years. The place is clean and well-maintained. Staff is nice and friendly. The pharmacy is great and pharmacy staff is beyond wonderful! I can't say enough wonderful things about them. Sad to say though that while we used to do all our shopping here for years since it first opened, we now have been forced to also shop at other markets. We've noticed that since it's new manager took over, more and more stock of our usual groceries have either declined or disappeared completely off shelves. They've just become unavailable. Also, whereas it was a rather classy place in which to shop, it now feels like a cheap market with all the "sale" signage posted about. It grates on one's nerves because a calm shopping experience now feels rather stressful and in your face. It's sad because we have been faithful Ralph's customers for many years and would rather shop at just one market. Guess it was too good to last. read more

This is my neighborhood Ralph's and I love it. Convenient location, clean, and very well maintained. No ghetto people on food stamps here.

I'm not thrilled with the quality of produce here, and the prices are pretty steep to boot. I've frequented this Ralphs because it's so close to my house, but on each trip, I seem to come home with an item that's already half spoiled. Yesterday, it was a mushy head of garlic (undetectable until I cut it open), and a bag containing several beat-up cherries hidden amongst the good ones. They need better quality control in the produce dept. read more

I think I am being excessively generous when I gave this store 1 star. We went to this store and bought 13 items, a VERY simple order. One would think. As the clerk was done scanning the items, my wife was tending to the finance aspect of it. As she was doing this there was no attempt one behalf of the clerk, to bag the items. Even an offer to do that would have been an expression of kindness, or even common sense. When my wife started to bag the groceries, it was only then that the clerk offered to bag it. Sensing an element of difficulty on the clerks part to accomplish a very simple task, she declined his offer and told him that she is handling it. After all, somebody has to do it. But this one trip is not the problem. The problem is that this has also happened to me on 3 other occasions. In order to show pathetic customer service, you must have customer service to begin with. One would think I am the only disgruntled customer who has consistently experienced this. Take a peek at the other reviews. What is even more pathetic is this is going to continue. This is a reflection on the "management" there. I'm done complaining about this Ralphh's. I have a letter to write to their corporate office now. And we are going to tell every body we know about this store. (told 2 people already) THIS STORE IS ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC. Not ever going ere again. read more
