    This Vons has no self checkout. Lines pretty much all the time. I'll have to start going to Ralph's down the street. Sorry Vons. I'm in a hurry

    Their items can be a little pricey but if you buy them on sale the deals are great. The blonde cashier we went to was awesome, she had such a sweet and bubbly personality. Hard to find cashiers who like their jobs these days. Very clean store, good customer service, we bought sale items so we got excellent deals, what more could anyone ask for? And don't get me started on their meat department-- nicest people ever! They make our lives easier, especially during the holidays! Whoever is in charge here knows how to hire excellent people for real.

    I stopped by this Vons store today to get my wife her flowers for her nursing ceremony and also to get a tide pen since I got a stain on my wife shirt. I found parking easily here since it's a big plaza. When I walked in, I saw where the flowers were but I had to walk around to find where the cleaning supplies were. The store is very organized and they have a lot of cashier station. I found the flower that I like and I also found the tide pen that I wanted.

    Just love this Vons location! The price point is amazing, the employees here from each department seem to have zero issues with going above and beyond honestly how can you beat that though?Ya can't! Pleasure of being helped by Nick he is the meat Mgr, what a professional employee, answered all of my questions in great detail, took the time to listen to what I wanted and had no problems preparing the cuts exactly the way I needed, such a great guy with a great happy personality too! Upon checking out I was helped by Gloria, she seems very kind hearted! I received carry out help from jessie as I had a lot of grocery bags. Jessie he is a clerk and a really hardworking employee, I always see him cleaning up or helping out people on the floor! You can see he is very much appreciated by all customers! I returned back a 2cd time and was assisted by Michelle! She is such a beautiful person inside out...She is super great at multitasking! She is always working and always with a smile, not sure anyone else there works harder than her! The store was super clean and all shelves were stocked! Holiday Headquarters too! So much great selections and great sales too! Lastly I wish to give a great thanks to the Starbucks baristas inside Vons! Ashleigh and Robi! What a great team! Excellent customer service skill set! Your Happy and very positive experience! Appreciate their professionalism and their work ethic! Highly recommend shopping this location!

    This Vons market on The Old Rd. in Stevenson Ranch was one of my mother's regular go-to places until last Tue(11/2624) when around 3pm my mother was mugged, as she was exiting after she did some grocery there. Someone either punched her in the chin or pushed her, she fell down and lost consciousness and when she woke up a little while later, her handbag was stolen. She lost everything in her handbag: cash, credit cards, car key, checkbook, keys, etc. Someone called 911 for her and my mother in her 80s was ambulanced to nearby Henry Mayo's ER. Fortunately she had no fracture but she was severely bruised. One thing shocking was that when I and mother revisited the Vons later in the evening to ask whether we can see a CCTV footage, the manager told us that they have NO external CCTVs on their outside walls! They only had interal CCTVs installed. When I visited other markets, most if not all of them have external CCTVs (eg, Ralphs). I felt not having external CCTVS monitoring the parking lot in front of the store and the surroundings was very irresposible and a huge dis-service. Due to the unsafeness, Mom decided to not go to Vons any more. I hope this posting becomes a safety warning to others and hopely would make Vons management come to its senses to install CCTV cameras on its outside walls, as such would be a very minimal investment to provide security to its customers.

    Very clean fruits are not as sweet though. Got what I needed. That was my first grocery store in California.

She greeted the last customer whose skin color matched hers, as I approached her, I got no greeting. She immediately looked at my coupon and dismissed it saying it wouldn't work, I ask her, may you please scan it and try it before you just tell me no, she says no it won't work, I ask again, please, just scan it. She then turns her back and walks to her coworker and managers bad mouthing me about me wanting her to scan it. Steven then says that the coupons look sketchy, as if he's never seen them before. I ask, are you accusing me of fraud? I tell him scan it if he's so sure. As I'm standing there Vicki tells me EXCUSE ME very aggressively and passive. She scans it, I ask her, does it work? It does. No apology, nothing. She then says there's a promotion buy one get one free and asks the girl Bryana if she should honor it since I'm already getting a box for free. I explained, that I paid for the box initially and that the item was defective, that's why I got this "free box" so it technically was not "free" Bryanna then calls Steven over and Steven tells me it's one coupon per transaction That means per day, I ask him, where does it say that? He said, I SAID THAT. I asked him if he can explain or at least show me in the ralphs employee book where it says that he just dismissed me. If you're a person of color just avoid this ralphs entirely. Steven and Vicki are the most unprofessional racist people and do not deserve a position where you are supposed to treat people with kindness regardless of color and income.

While I was waiting at the register for her to ring me up, the least she could have done was acknowledge me and say she'd be right with me, but instead she kept talking with her coworkers. Once she finally started ringing me up, she began grabbing the hand basket on the conveyor belt and mumbling to herself, seeming upset. I mentioned that everything I had was already rung up and that the basket wasn't mine. She then started shouting at me, saying she knew that. Then, when it came time for payment, she began shouting at me again because apparently I was "taking too long," even though the screen was prompting me to wait for the cashier. She kept yelling that she was waiting on me and telling me to "go." When I called the store to complain, the floor manager said she would pass the message along and that the store manager would reach out. Well, here we are four days later and still no call from the store manager. I have only visited this store a handful of times, and every experience has involved awful customer service. I will never shop here again. That was the last straw. If employees don't want to assist customers, then please consider adding self-checkout stations.

    I had one of those small but meaningful experiences at Whole Foods last Saturday that completely…read morerestored my faith in customer service. While I was in line, an elderly woman ahead of me was struggling to find her Amazon Prime number to receive her discount, holding up a long line in the process. The cashier, Opal, was extraordinarily patient. She didn't rush her, didn't sigh, and didn't treat her like an inconvenience. Instead, she calmly walked her through how to locate the number on her phone, ensured she received the savings she was entitled to, and graciously answered multiple questions afterward. It was genuine kindness -- not performative, not transactional -- just respectful and thoughtful service. What made it even more special was that the manager on duty, Gina, came over to bag groceries at our line. As Opal was ringing up my order, I asked Gina if she was Opal's manager. You could see a split-second look cross her face, as though she were bracing for a complaint. But I quickly told her that Opal had delivered exemplary customer service to the woman ahead of me. Gina was visibly relieved and appreciative when she realized it was praise. And Opal heard the whole exchange! It was such a sweet moment. In a world where people are quick to criticize and slow to compliment, this interaction truly stood out. Opal treated that customer with dignity and patience, and Gina clearly fosters a culture where that kind of service is encouraged. Whole Foods should be proud to have both of them.
