I've shopped here many times and this is my first review. This is an interesting place to shop. Generally average prices but a significant selection of furniture, chairs, dish-ware, snacks and even liquor. Today I bought a table for our dining room and found out quickly I couldn't get it into our car. So I returned it and decided to order it online. The return was quick, friendly and no questions asked. The interior is very well lighted and exceptionally clean. They obviously take pride in the appearance of their store. I stopped in here looking for drink coasters, and found only a few options for that, but did spend quite a bit of additional time browsing. Their stuff is always so fun to look at. I particularly liked the intricately beaded table mats, and all the fun international snacks. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had a range of "Hot One" hot sauces. I bought two for my husband to try. I also bought some sweets for myself. Staff was very friendly and enthusiastic, giving me suggestions about snacks they'd tried and liked. The place was clean and tidy, well stocked and had fun stuff for the next holiday (Valentines in this case). Cool furniture too. I'd come back here again! read more

My bf and I always love checking out World Market. Decided to drop by this afternoon while we were out this way, first time at this location! Been a while since we've been to one so there were a lot of new things. Nice, big parking lot and super convenient. We always typically go for the snacks even tho most of these can be found on Amazon nowadays but it's always cool to see and we always end up buying a lot lol. They have unique glassware too along with some wine. Decided to also get a Hazelnut Torani syrup to try with my morning coffee (a lot of places use this in their coffee shop) and I also grabbed a Tamarind one to try in some cocktails like Trade Winds. I have always shied away from this store because I felt it was expensive. But I just moved and wanted a specific esthetic so I gave it another try. Well now it's become one of my favorite stores for home products. They have unique and colorful items that tap into many cultures. They also have some good sales and when you sign up for their free membership you get 15% off your first order. I bought a picture here that was just what we needed for inspiration for our home decor. I have literally been here 5 times within the last 2 weeks and I bought something every time. The store is clean and well organized. It's a chill vibe that makes me feel relaxed as I'm shopping. Also if you sign up for the membership you can get 10% off of pick up orders. The staff is also very friendly. They never look at me strange when I'm there for over an hour just perusing the store. :) Parking is plentiful on this side of the shopping center. It's close to Michael's and other stores. So you can walk to another store for more style inspiration if needed. read more

I'm just going to come out and say it, I love Costplus World Market. In the last week I've been here a couple times and anticipate going back a few more over the next couple weeks. Why the obsession? Let's see where to start. Candy from the UK, noodles from the Orient, Veggimite from down under, and so much more. Where else can you buy furniture and pick up a bottle of Snoop Doggs wine while also buying Christmas ornaments for your tree. Just so much under one roof. Yes I've been here before, but never really took the time to look around and appreciate the store. Maybe it's just some of the nostalgic stuff I came across, but regardless I recommend checking one of these locations out yourself. I used to be a huge, huge fan of Cost Plus and would come here at least once a week, if not more often. This location used to carry these specific candies by Chimes and I would usually almost clear our their inventory when I would stop by. Much to my sadness, but my checkbook's happiness, Cost Plus stopped carrying these candies! I wish I knew why; alas the powers-that-be have a plan for everything. That plan now includes me not ever needing to step in here again. In my previous, numerous visits the staff was friendly enough. It was a rarity to find any staff on the floor though, which is kind of a bummer. All staff was gloved/masked up due to the covid which was to be expected. Customer service was always super basic, except for my last and most recent visit here. I don't know if she was the store manager (in fact, I think she was) - was super helpful and shared some tips on how I could possibly find my beloved candies at another store. I wish I would have seen that over-and-above attitude in my visits previous, but I get it. All my other non-food items were really neat and unique: a black cat pin, some great clearance items for Christmas 2020, and they had a watermelon tumbler that I had been eyeing for the longest time - but I was strong and didn't cave in. Kudos to the person who buys it and enjoys it though! Very trendy items that seem very "en vogue". Still recommend! Thanks much! read more

Okay there hasn't been a review of this place in a couple of years. I go there about twice a month since there are some unique things to pick up. There is usually someone greeting the customers when you walk in and asking if you need help finding something. That can be hit and miss because there are a few guys that work there that are not the brightest bulbs in the box (come on....you know who you are). But for the most part they are helpful. They have a fairly good wine selection and have a number of sales on wine, so go over if you are there and see if you can find a deal. I've bought some coffee there as well...it was okay, so that's all I have to say about that. Two of my recent finds I am going to review...but don't go and buy it all or I will be pissed...lol. The Ginger Snaps, forgot the brand, but nice, small, tasty...sort of like some girls I used to date. A bag runs you $1.99...definitely much less than the girlfriends previously mentioned. The other is their chocolate bars $1.99 as well (I don't make the prices) they have a few really good ones and the most recent is a blood orange dark chocolate bar....yummy. Bits of the rind are in the bar and it is great with a nice wine in the evening. Don't take it all, but I understand if you do, just share with the rest of us. read more

Walked over here recently while shopping nearby. I was texting a friend who wanted to meet up. I asked the young girl at the cash register, which street this store was on. She didn't know. She looked at me like I was imposing by asking. Her answer sounded more like a guess. She tells me I can check my phone. Check my phone? If I answered our clients that way, I'd be fired. I say: I don't know what city or street this store on. Someone else says: It's The Old Road. The girl at the cash register says: I meant you can check your location on your phone. I wasn't looking for a tech lesson. I wanted the name of the street the store was on. She was unhelpful and rude. I almost talked to the manager about it but I voted with my wallet and didn't buy anything and left thinking: that's why all these places are going out of business. I went elsewhere. read more

This place has gone down hill for me as far as sales force I'm pretty sure they are starting to hire 3rd graders because this would make it my 4th time shopping at this store and when I tell you the level off no conmen sense I has happened to me where when checking out. One girl handed my daughter and I six large bowls with no paper or bag, one young man told me he could not find the price for the art so I should just order it online, today the range up a large order and when it came to the only item I got on sale I told her that's on sale and her reply was "well it's not ringing up on sale so it's not " when clearly it was because she had to call a manger to confirm it. When I finally told Michelle the manager that everyone I come here the staff is so terrible trained and have zero customer service skill she seems so annoyed and basically scream at me saying "well we are doing the best we can ok" I will literally make the drive to Burbank just yo avoid this sad excuse of a store. read more

I am a big fan of cultured and rustic furniture. I love all of the knick-knacks they have here. They have great art, cool stuff for the bathroom, and their international food and wine section is awesome! I give Cost Plus an A plus. I love this store because they always offer unique items that make great gifts. They sell unique furniture at a fair price. They have some cool modern dining tables with engineered wood. I would compare this to a Pier 1 Imports store except I think it's much better because the stuff they carry is more on trend and updated. It's the only place I know of where you can buy the French candy "Bon Bons." It's a great spot for unique gift items. They have house decor, foods, snacks, drinks, alcohol, jewelry, soaps, and utensils/kitchenware from all around the world. There is plenty of parking. I really enjoy trying the fun teas they have (Thai tea in single brew packets for example). If you ever find Spanish fried egg chips here, get them! They're incredibly delicious. You can find tiny Tabasco bottles here, vintage toys, desk decor, baskets, rugs, lamps, lotion, wooden giraffes, you name it. read more

Love this place! My wife and I are very fond of Cost Plus because of the variety of little useless things that you'll buy and later get rid of. We can spend an hour or so buying stuff that we might never use but looks cool in your kitchen drawer. On this excursion, my wife bought 20 or so little spoons for tea and coffee. Love this place! Nice home decor & great imports from all over the globe. Never a dull moment getting lost in the aisles. The furnishings are very reasonable in price, many organic and eclectic looking pieces. They carry everything from cards, frames, pillows, bathroom accessories and kitchen utensils to name a few. I found a beautiful Himalayan salt tray used for cooking as well as serving that I absolutely love. You never know what you'll find here but the best part is that they also sell cook books that supplement cooking items so you're not left confused only to go home and google everything. I like things. And I like that I like things. I get curious about all sorts of things, and fortunately for me, Cost Plus World Market has what seems like an endless supply of... things. What makes it even better is that these "things" are really earthy, and culturural... and from places that I could only imagine. These are things that if I were to place somewhere in my home, people might be impressed by these things. Something about this place brings the adventurer out of me. Not the kind of adventurer one would attribute to someone who's feeling spontaneous in bed, nor the kind that someone is labeled or wanting to try a new spicy dish at their favorite Thai restaurant. I wasn't feeling that kind of adventurous, when I was last here. But, really, every time I come here my inner Indiana Jones comes out. What doesn't come out, is my wallet from my back pocket. This place can be quite expensive! Regardless, you can't fault a place for what they price their products, when you have other places like Pottery Barn and Pier One Imports that charge similar prices, if not more expensive. This location in particular staffs young and old people, all of whom are very helpful and quick to assist you with any questions or "back room" checking you hope for them to do when you can't find something. The place is very organized, as well. I'd have to say, that when not buying from local artists, there are only a handful of places that I like decorate my place with. I happened to be in here browsing around and saw a dining room table that I thought would work in our house. I have been searching on the Internet for a year; I have a unique-sized area which can be a bit tricky to fit in what I was looking for. I went back with my husband a few days later to show him and Patricia ended up helping us out. He liked the table so next came figuring out which chairs to get with it. There are chairs that go with the set but I was going for a little more of an eclectic look. Patricia was so patient and helpful, pulling down different chairs in the store and putting them with the table until we came up with a combination that I really loved. We are still waiting for some of the chairs to come in but as of now we have our new table and two of the chairs set up in our kitchen dining area. I have been searching for months for a table for a nook area in my home and saw one on sale the other day while I was shopping. I could kick myself for not buying it on the spot. When I called to see if it was still available, someone had already purchased it. Patti at the Valencia store was nice enough to call around to other Cost Plus store to locate it for me so I could take advantage of the clearance price plus the coupon that is valid currently.
