I stopped by this Vons store this morning to get a ZOA energy drink. Vons had a digital coupon deal on the drink this weekend and I wanted to take advantage of it before it expires. I was in the Newhall area because I was going to a range soon so it made sense to stop by here first. I found parking easily since the store is in a big plaza and it was early. When I walked inside, I saw the flowers area right at the entrance and some baked goods. I went to the soda aisle where they had energy drinks but didn't see ZOA drinks there. I then walked around the store to the refrigerated area and didn't see it there either. It wasn't until I walked past the self checkout station and they had it there. There a Starbucks inside here as well but when I came, they weren't open yet. This is a nice and neat store when I was there this morning. read more

Two star produce because every time we give the produce a chance they let us down. Latest is a whole sleeve of garlic, already sprouted! Looked up that it takes about 6-8 months for garlic to sprout. That means this whole batch has been sitting around for half a year or more! It's bitter and just signals that Von's at Lyons either gets the last pick of produce or isn't rotating their stock hoping us saps buy it! I'm tired of paying good money for spoiled, moldy or old produce!! Avoid this place!! read more

To Whom It May Concern, This store is usually very good and my favorite place in the store is the deli. However the other day an employee I've never seen before sliced my meat, I think her name was Emma? She wasn't wearing gloves or a hairnet and was very rude and unprofessional to me. She stopped in the middle of slicing my meats to go on the phone and she even took a vape break. Then she started complaining about her baby daddies. She apparently is the assistant manager of the deli, it seems like everybody doesn't like her. I do not understand who approved of this promotion. I got the food at the deli and the chefs made really good fried chicken and mango habanero chicken. Ian and Brannon were really helpful however there was one random girl just doing dishes in the back and not helping customers and what I assume to be the manager yelling at one of them. The manager almost slipped and fell numerous times. He was yelling so bad we could hear it throughout the store and he was not wearing a hairnet. After my experiences at the Stevenson Ranch location, this Vons is a dream. I love the way they merchandise the store and they may have smaller isles but everything else is wonderful. The staff is also very nice. Products are not expired. When the other store didn't have enough of something I always find it here. I have no idea why I kept going to the other store. This store is truly a great place to shop at and the employees are wonderful. I have been shopping here since 2013 and each time I enter the store everyone greets me and says hello. The store is always well stocked and clean. I am super glad they added a self check out and Starbucks to this store. There is no Starbucks nearby and it is super convenient to have a cup of coffee while shopping. Also, it is so great to be excited to go to a grocery store and know some of the employees by name. It makes your shopping experience exciting and you feel comfortable knowing you see the same faces. Every time I go check out, I always go to the line of Mi or Chris. They have a great attitude and truly want to assist and help their customers. It is not like going through the line of a boring cashier and they ring your items and no communication happens. These two actually ask how your day is going and what's new with your life and ask about your family/life. Denise at the front desk is always super friendly when I need to send a western union. She engages in conversation and has always assisted me anytime I go into the store. She always says hello when I see her throughout the store and asks if I need anything at all. Bo is amazing each time I see her in the store! She knows my name and always says hello! Love coming to this Vons and wouldn't go to another Vons in the Santa Clarita Valley! read more

Ok so we moved about a year ago. It wasn't a far move but this Vons instantly became the closest supermarket to us so naturally I started coming here more regularly. It didnt hit me at first, but about 3 months ago I realized that many of the shelves here are empty. This place is ALWAYS out of stock of something. Almost every time I come in to get my list of groceries, there is, inevitably, something on my list that they don't have. For example, a couple weeks ago, the soda aisle was half empty! Literally. They simply didn't have very many options. I had to skip it that time. On a different day, I opened 3 different packages of eggs, and every one of them had broken or cracked eggs. In addition, there weren't many left besides the ones I opened, so I decided to go to another store for them. Sometimes I go to get sour cream or cottage cheese and there's only 1 or 2 in the fridge! Really? C'mon, man. I've come at times and some of the chips or chicharrones on the shelf are empty. It has come to a point where I choose to go to a different supermarket, despite how much further I have to drive because I can't rely on this one to have the items I need. I've never really experienced this before so I can't explain it. I'm just kinda tired of wasting my time. read more

Yelp loves taking off bad reviews but this is the worst Vons I've ever been to. There's an older blonde woman who works there who is so unbelievably rude. We asked if they have money orders at that store and if we could use our atm card due to covid. she responds to us with the most pompous , cold and condescending attitude. So she tells us that we could go to store and get it. So we drive from Simi Valley to Santa Clarita and we talk to Denise and she remember who we were and said that she ran out of money order paper; again with the same pompous, cold attitude. First some praise. VONS HAS THE MOST AND INEXPENSIVE ORGANIC PRODUCTS ANYWHERE! Their store is clean and their staff helpful. The problem is the dishonest practice of selling EXPIRED FOOD. I am tired of spending $4 on an avocado and finding it rotten inside, or a packaged salad with wilted greens upon opening. And that is the stuff that is not expired. Every time I go there hunting down my food list, I always check the expiration stamps (thank you, Mom). So many dairy, meat, and packaged veggie products are days expired. This is not okay! I will still shop there but getting an avocado or salad is off my shopping list for now. read more

It was Fathers Day and I had just picked up my wife and 1 year old from the airport. I really wanted thin sliced ribeyes to make some tacos for the family so we stopped by this Vons. I left the family in the car and went inside. There were non on the meat shelves, bummer. I was dreading going back to the car empty handed and having to tell the wife that we have to go to a different store. I asked the gentleman at the meat counter to check the back which he did, but nada! Rather than gentleman stop owing there he asked the butcher is he was able to slice some up. Butcher looked at me with a smile and said absolutely with a friendly smile. 5 minutes later I had my thin sliced ribeyes. That is customer service. Butcher didn't make no awkward face, or seemed to be bothered in any way about the request!! Kudos too this two guys!!! Store is overall clean and people are nice. read more

I have never been a huge Von's fan, though there are some things I especially like that they carry. This review though is reflective of this location. My wife does not like this location for whatever reason. I had to stop in to pick up several items and was passing by here. After getting my goods, I was approaching the checkout. I see they only have 1 lane open, and that is the express line (according to my wife, not the first time she has seen this). I have more than 12 items and I ask an employee at the front where they would like me to checkout. They tell me to use the express line. Whatever. There is no one in line and no cashier either. The employee at the front pages someone. This is at 9am too, not like I am in there at 5am. After an eternity, an employee shows up and begins to ring me up. We encounter a problem in one of the items I am buying. It comes up at $6.99 regular price (correct) but it should be $3 off. The sale price is not coming up. So, they send someone with the item to check. Now, there are about 5 people in line behind me, so we all wait. After many minutes, the employee returns and tells me that I was wrong and the item was not on sale. I had taken the time to read the sale tag so I know I was right but I do not want to argue because I am in a hurry. In the interest of time, I tell them to just remove the item from my purchase, and let me pay. Even though the employees do not seem to care, I do not want to hold up the line. The other employee has already left with the disputed item and the clerk (for some reason) needs the item back to scan it and remove it from my purchase. So they start paging the employee to bring it back. One of the customers in line storms out. I would do the same if I was not in a hurry and needed everything else I was buying. I do not know where the guy with the disputed item went, but he slowly sauntered back and it was removed from my purchase. Next time, I will drive to a different Vons or maybe bypass them altogether and hit Ralphs. read more

I love this store and I really like the people who work there, but I have a huge issue with the poor customer service that I have received multiple times from Bo in the deli. For some reason she finds it more important to do her side work and let the only customer waiting continue to wait for up to ten minutes while she cleans. She has done this to me three times in the past few weeks and today when I called her out on it, she said "go ahead and complain". This is unacceptable! read more

Every department has went above and beyond for me, from their Starbucks, to the department that cuts the fruit to the welcoming clerks that ring me up every morning.
