Pacific Kitchen has been under new management since January 2026, but I'm happy to say their poke is just as delicious as ever. I love how generous they are with the protein portions. Oh my gosh I think this is the best poke place in all of the SCV. I ordered a bowl with sushi rice and triple salmon, and it's some of the best quality fish I've tasted. I used to drive from Valencia three times a week to have lunch here. I loved the service and consistency of ingredients. You do get a miso soup included with the new owners so that is nice. I just wish they would use some sort of romaine lettuce like most poke places. They seem to serve mixed greens now and although that might be easier to serve, it does not pair well with poke. It takes away from the other ingredients. Mixed greens have a lot of stems and have more of a bite- which is why you tend to have salad dressing and fruits , cheese etc. Other than that small gripe, I think the new owners and past workers are doing a great job. read more

Anyway fast forward to today, we came here for dinner since we wanted something healthy and light. The place was not busy and we were helped not long after arriving. We both got a small poke bowl with salad (base). They were out of salmon so I ended up getting tuna and spicy tuna. I got most of their toppings and for the sauce, I got the Yuzu House and chili oil. It had a kick to it in my opinion. He got the tuna, spicy tuna and crab and shrimp for his protein. He also got a lot of toppings and for the sauce, he got the habanero and this korean spicy sauce. I forgot the name of it. The price is okay. Its reasonable for a poke. The staff are very nice and our order came with a bowl of miso soup. The downside is that this place is closed on weekends. I'm from thousand oaks visiting my sister. We decided to have poke. I was a bit shocked that 3 people with one soft drink and minimum tip, the total was $86.00! I have no problem paying that , but I would expect to get a bit more. There is a place in Thousand Oaks called pokey land. The fish portions are much larger.Their medium and large are in square containers, not bowls. The portions are much larger and for much less. Every single time I have gone there , there has been a line, a minimum of three people and people coming in and out constantly. During the time I was a Pacific kitchen eating my meal.There , only two other single individuals came in. The place was totally empty. I'm glad I got to experience it.And unfortunately, I will not be going back a hundred percent, not worth what you pay for. read more

Came here on a Friday, and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The restaurant is in a nice plaza. I ordered the katsu, which was listed as the daily special--turns out there was nothing special about it. No discount, no larger portion, just a regular meal at full price. For $13-$15, you get a small portion with less than 10 pieces, which honestly isn't worth it. You'd be better off going to a Hawaiian BBQ spot for a more satisfying meal at the same price. A pretty decent experience. They have really fresh raw salmon here! I really enjoyed how fatty it was. Very good quality fish. The corn, masago, and crab salad were fine... but cucumbers were a bit bitter. The brown rice was also a bit hard. I had no idea that the poke came with a free miso soup! My friends all got a miso soup, but I didn't because the cashier wasn't clear that it was complimentary. They just said "would you like a miso soup?" Looking online, I noticed good reviews for Pacific Kitchen in Stevenson Ranch. Wow.. great choice! 1st thing, Dan the owner is AWESOME! So personable and helpful. He made the experience that much more enjoyable. I understand in today's day and age, if the worker even looks at you it is considered good customer service. Dan took it to another level. He made it feel like we were old friends. It wasn't just me, he treated everyone who entered the restaurant like that. Oh yeah, the food. Sometimes I need to be poked back to what I am writing about. Now, this is no fish story.. The small bowl was spectacular! Brown rice and salad, with spicy tuna, salmon and scallops as my protein. Sesame sauce with a few toppings completed the masterpiece. To make sure Pacific Kitchen was an outlier in terms of food and customer service, I've tried a couple more Poke place since. I think P-K is the best. If you don't believe me, go try yourself. I've tried poke from every place in Santa Clarita, but I always come back here because it's the only poke bowls I truly crave. The owners are nice and caring people and you can tell by the amount of regulars that come by and talk to them. I had one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had at Pacific Kitchen today, and it honestly makes me not want to come back. As soon as I walked in, I was given a bowl with an amount of rice that was genuinely shocking not even close to a quarter full. I wish I had taken a picture. I looked at the employee in disbelief because it felt almost laughable. To make it more uncomfortable, the owner was staring at me the entire time, which only added to the experience. Over time, it really feels like the portions have continued to shrink while prices stay the same, or even increase. For what you're paying, the amount of food is just not worth it anymore. It's especially disappointing because the restaurant is rarely open as it is, and when it is, the quality and value just aren't there. Let's put it this way, I'm already planning my next trip to go back lol the poke here is GOOD. Poke Bowls: first off this place has very reasonable prices compared to most poke places. You have the option of choosing a 4 protein bowl or 3. I chose the 4 protein bowl & it was not only yummy but extremely filling. I went with the spicy tuna, ahi poke & spicy shrimp & crab protein options. All fish options tasted extremely fresh which I was pleased with. I just wish they gave larger portions of fish, the scoops were on the small side. Nevertheless, these bowls taste amazing. They have a large assortment of toppings & sauces to choose from. I like that they don't limit you to a certain amount of toppings like other places do. However, it does cost extra for an extra scoop of a certain topping (reasonably so.) Overall, this place gets a 10/10 in the poke department. Service/Atmosphere: store is clean & well kept. All covid restrictions are followed. I went with the online pick up option which I wouldn't recommend. I only say this because it seems faster to walk in & place your order. Through placing my order online I ended up having to wait 35min for my food. When you place an online order they give you a time that your food will be ready by - my food was ready 10min past the time that was given to me which made it a 35min wait in total. They were behind because of having to take other customers orders. This is why I recommend just walking in & placing your order as opposed to doing it online. The worker was nice about it tho & gave me a free drink for the inconvenience. Overall, great place I will definitely be returning! read more

I hate writing this review because this used to be our absolute favorite poke place, but lately I feel like you don't get what you pay for. Please keep in mind that I've given them three chances, because I know that sometimes restaurants have off days. So here's my issue with Pacific Kitchen -- This place is good BUT a large is definitely a small and you'll pay way too much for it. This has been my experience the last few times we've been here. My last visit, I ordered a large and even added extra. Paid $19 and some change and received less than half of a bowl? Literally compared it to my daughter's small bowl and they were the same. This has happened the last few times. Seems like they charged me for a large but gave me a small portion in a large plastic bowl. Not worth the money. Oh and they charge for the miso soup now. I get that inflation is affecting everyone, but it just seems like you are not getting what you pay for here. It'll be a while before I try them again. Hopefully they go back to the way they used to be. So take it from me...check your orders. If you get a small and a large it is very probable that your large bowl will only be half full. So happy to finally get a nice poke place in Santa Clarita area, but so disappointed when I visited. I really wanted to like this place too because the lady working there was so sweet, but I just couldn't. I am a huge fan of spicy mayo, but I suspect that the spicy mayo was old, as it had a funky smell to it. In addition, the spicy mayo completely took over my bowl, and so I had to throw away all the other yumminess in my bowl. The fish (of what I could taste that wasn't completely doused in spicy mayo) tasted fresh and flavorful! The seaweed salad was perfect! Hidden gem! Looking for a new, local experience, I picked this little place and met a friend for lunch this week. My friend ordered a 3-protein poke bowl, choosing brown rice (there are three other "base" options, and customers can mix half & half) and salmon, spicy krab/shrimp and pan-fried tofu + seaweed salad, edamame, Asian slaw and a whole host of other vegetables. Topped off with crispy fried onions and two different dressings, every bite disappeared from her bowl even though she swore she would only eat half! I ordered their Asian chicken salad with two dressings, and it was delicious. The young lady who composed our dishes was VERY patient and clearly explained the flavor and heat of the six dressing options. When it's your first time in, there's a lot to consider. Chojahng? Volcano? Ginger Ponzu? My one small criticism was that the tasty chicken on my salad was a bit dry. I did mention this to the owner, Danny, who was in residence. He seems genuinely interested in his customers, and we had quite the conversation with him, making our lunch even more memorable.
