She was very direct and told us upfront it would be about a 20-minute wait, which I appreciated. While we waited, I sat in the car listening to the thunder and rain. There was something peaceful and simple about that moment and I loved it. My husband stayed inside to wait for the food. During that time, a couple came back in upset about the wait and asked for their money back. The owner had just returned from a family event and was clearly trying her best to make things right. Even when the couple was rude, she handled it with grace and empathy, saying, "I'm sad that we failed you." It was such a human moment. Mine had romaine lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and mustard, and everything tasted fresh. Kincaid's is still my #1 and Marty B's near Argyle is #2 for me, but Best Burger Barn is a strong #3 and still in my top 5 burgers. Only downside is the inside could use a little updating since it feels a bit run down. But if you're going for the burger, it's definitely worth it.

They insisted on carrying the tray out for us. Epic- the brisket was tender, juicy and perfectly smoked. The bark was great, had a touch of spice on the back end. The sausage was perfect.
