    Three-piece chicken combo
    Vinh M.

Meh. That was my reaction when I had the food here on a Saturday night around 9:30pm with my bestie and my foodie friend. We all waited about 20 minutes in line to get inside the already packed and loud interior, filled with tons of seats for mostly parties of 4, and a whole second floor filled with even more seats and some fun stuff to look at too. Tables were not very clean when we got to the one we decided to sit at, and had to use napkins to wipe off both the table and the seats. It's very brightly lit here though, and stays opens pretty late. You order at one of several kiosks near the front kitchen area where food is being made and prepared. Staff in general looked very disorganized and were in close proximity to each other behind the counter, but they still managed to get everyone's orders in; in turn this didn't affect my experience beyond the food and noisy environment popping mainstream radio music. I shared the 3-finger chicken combo with a side of fries with my bestie since I was already full from a previous meal we had which also involved fries. It comes with their signature cane sauce and garlic toast, along with your choice of drink, which we chose a tea/lemonade mix for that. The outside of the chicken wasn't crispy as I would have liked, and the chicken itself was also dry. It wasn't any better even when I dipped it into the cane sauce, which came as a surprise to my friends. The real winners were instead the garlic toast - not too heavy yet had a milder garlic profile - and the tea/lemonade too. The fries themselves were standard crinkle cut fries and didn't really need the cane sauce either. For best results, I would do what my friends and i did, and take a booth on the second floor overlooking the UW Ave at night and just enjoy the street view from above and chill. As seen on social media, there are big lines for this place but it depends on time; there wasn't one when I walked past here around 1pm on a Sunday afternoon.

Very very busy but line moved very fast because service was excellent. Chicken tenders are very overrated but the sauce is what truly makes it good. Good to try for once, but nothing worth going back to.

I had to visit this place to understand the hype. I ordered the chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was just okay, nothing special. But considering the price, it wasn't bad. Plus, it's a great spot for college students. There are many other good food options in the area that I would prefer, but this is perfect for this college town. Ohhh, and I Love the story of how it all started with the doggie!!

Today we were in the U District and happened upon the new Raising Caine's location. There has been a lot of videos going around on social media about lines around the block, etc. but when we arrived there was no line! This was like the Chicken Finger Gods saying "You may enter now but quickly" so of course we did. This location is so awesomely decorated inside with UW colors, pictures, logos, etc. It was wonderful. There were prominent photos of esteemed UW alumni and lots of old memorabilia. I wasn't too hungry so I had the kids combo which has 2 small chicken fingers and crinkle cut fries and a small drink. My companion had the normal 3 piece fingers meal combo which also came with fries and a drink and toast (lots o' starch). We loved the meal as usual and by far, the chicken fingers are the highlight. So glad to finally see one of these open up in Seattle. Can't wait for more to open. Excellent UW themed location.

Mid to be honest. I expected to be wowed and was not. The lines weren't bad though. I waited 20 minutes outside in line until I finally got in and my order was taken immediately by a staff member at the counter. Food was ready in less than 10 minutes. So if you're worried about wait time it's honestly not bad. Warning: Hot sauce lovers....they don't have hot sauce packets yet! What chicken place doesn't have hot sauce?!! I tried the Cane's sauce and I was surprised it was good but nothing special to me. I prefer my hot sauce. I ordered for dine in but luckily they bagged my food to go so I took it home used my hot sauce at home! But seriously y'all need to get hot sauce for the customers! Chicken tenders were a lot smaller than I expected. To be honest I thought portions were a bit small. The fries and chicken were okay. No complaints as my food was hot and seasoned. Just not blown away and still think Chikfila is more preferable being honest. Staff were fast paced and efficient. The interior was bright and welcoming with plenty of dine in seating. Overall this is a more affordable and quick option in the U district now which is nice. I don't see myself stopping by often or returning anytime soon but the best things I tried at Raising Cane's was definitely that toast and I did enjoy the sweet tea.

I had Cane's once a few years ago and honestly wasn't impressed, but the new U District location changed my mind a bit. I've seen this place draw some crazy lines, so my expectations were pretty low, but when I went on a Wednesday around 7pm the wait to get inside was only about 5-10 minutes. You can order through kiosks, at the counter, or online for pickup. The pickup area was a little chaotic with everyone waiting for food, but we actually got our order pretty quickly and everything was fresh. It's definitely busy and seating can be tricky to find, but overall it ended up being a better experience than I expected.

I don't see the hype. I had it before in Portland and didn't think it was that great but thought I'd give it another try again since there's so much hype around it. Luckily I didn't have to wait in a long line like when it first opened. I got the 3 piece meal and I will say the chicken is juicy and the Texas toast is buttery and soft. The sauce is what makes the food taste great. Nothing amazing. Not a place I'd frequent.

Finally got a chance to check this first Raising Cane in WA. The service was very fast, we didn't have to wait at all. The decor is super funky, it's worth it to check out the disco balls, Texas toast sofa, etc. The chicken fingers were pretty good, but nothing really special. The vibe I guess is what makes it special.

This was our third time coming here! And every time I bring someone who has not heard or been here before. I should be glad there is not one closer to my house or I would be here two to three times a week! I love the atmosphere of this place and the friendly employees. A big shout out to their security guy who is the most helpful and nice guy!!!!

Mobile ordered ahead of time, which let me skip the line. Still a wait inside. However my issue is more with the food than the wait. The chicken fingers are small and the breading doesn't stick well. Also, the portion of fries is super tiny for a $20 box. The sauce is ok but it barely makes up for the lack of flavor from the chicken. I wouldn't go back for awhile it's just not worth the time, value, or flavor.

The chicken tenders were juicy, tender, and fried just right, the fries were perfectly crisp, and the Cane's sauce really lives up to the hype. Paired with the buttery Texas toast and refreshing coleslaw, everything tasted fresh and hit the spot. Simple menu, but when it's done this well, it works. My only hope is that they keep this level of consistency.

Raising canes is one of my favorite places to get fried chicken tenders! The place was neat and new of course with no wait on Monday around 11 am. The food was pretty fresh, I'd say it wasn't piping hot and juicy as I had it at some other locations. Good service, I'd come back.

This location is awesome! I've been to a very Cane's in different states and the food is always very consistent, but this location has a stand out staff! Everyone is super nice and fast under the pressure (because we've all seen the lines) but they really keep it moving at a quick pace. Also the interior of the location is definitely the coolest one I've been to, it's two story and totally decked out with UW decor!

Potato skins and garlic rice were good too, though less garlic would have been better. Could easily make this into a garlic egg fried rice and larger portions. The staff were super attentive and took time to explain everything to first time visitors. Steady stream of take out orders as seating is limited. Would come back to try the other sides too. Happy to report no reaction for gluten free member of our family, top marks for safety.

I've had sandwiches, bowls, tenders, thighs and drums. They're all good. The sandwiches are the high point in my opinion - particular shoutout to the Slawsome and Hot Honey. They're big and messy but tasty. Can't go wrong with them, and I frequently can't help but order one. The bowls are powerful. I've had both kinds on different trips and they're hard to do in a single sitting, whereas sandwich + side is not. Just be warned. The sides are straightforward - what you see is what you get. They tend to be a little more basic, or classic if you will, than the sandwiches. I like this, since they serve as a side/counterpoint. We tend to get the slaw and pot of gold. The fries are the battered style which are very good and combo well with the rest of the menu. Takeout times tend to be accurate and the staff have been working hard but helpful every time we stop in. Most importantly they've been consistently good every time we go - and often during peak busy times, so that speaks well of their kitchen staff. Top marks all around. The move to the new spot didn't slow them down a bit, so make sure you check the address before going if you haven't been in a few months.

We had visited the Ballard location before they had moved to their new home. Stopped by the new location a few weeks ago. The new location is definitely in the sketchy part of Ballard, but it was nice to have a designated parking lot, rather than trying to find a street spot at the old location! My husband and I both ordered 3 tendies, in cayenne heat (level 2 spicy). Didn't seem spicy enough for my liking, so next time I am going to try the level 3! The chicken is delicious! It's crispy, juicy and flavorful. They offer a lot of sauces to choose from too. Although if you ask me, if you order any spicy level, the chicken doesn't need it! My husband is a dipper though and he likes his sauce. His fave is the Honey Mustard. (I opted for a garlic aioli. I love garlic but it was a little much). Since I was feeling like a comfort side, I selected the potatoes and gravy. (I have also had the fries and the macaroni and cheese). They have a good selection of sides. We love Cookie's chicken!
