I decided to give Raising Cane's another try, but once again I was severely disappointed. Prices have gone up, yet the chicken strips are noticeably smaller than they used to be, and the portions of the sides have also shrunk. I literally have a love hate relationship with Cane's. Regardless, I do like the food. I decided to have this for dinner. I ordered and went to the window to pick up my food. All my friends know that I am big on customer services. The young man that opened the window was amazing. He knows how to treat customers. I was so surprised by his amazing customer service that I completely forgot to ask him his name. Yea...I kicked myself a couple of times. Skip this joint for sure . First off, over $12 for 3 "FINGERS" that should be called "NUGGETS." Not tender at all, in fact tough, chewy and soggy. Fries lukewarm at best. I eat at Caines on a regular basis and I was in shock how small the chicken strips were at this location. Three piece combo ten bucks and the chicken was no joke two and half inches. The box combo is more popular and it comes with Toast, Fries, Slaw, and 4 chicken Strips. You are welcome to substitute your slaw for extra toast, or fries. This locations nickname (KABOOM TOWN) comes from their location in Addison, Texas, because they have the largest fireworks show in DFW held annually on Independence Day. Coming in late, just looking for a quick bite before hitting the sack. Saw this raising Canes and decided to pull in. Ordered the box which is way more food than anyone needs to eat but the way the menu is set up it tends to be the most common thing I order. I'll start off by saying I'm not a huge fan of any drive through restaurants such as this however, most of the time their quality is pretty consistent no matter which location I go to. This trip was just so. I used the drive-through, Service was very prompt. The young man did an excellent job with putting the order together and making sure I had everything that I needed. The General Manager Alan is very unwelcoming. Me and my guys have come on multiple occasions and have had the same interaction with him. Dirty looks and mugs every time. Don't know if it has to do with race or not, but overall the guy definitely has a issue. I can understand if this was a one time thing. The woman working the cashier was rude and was barely comprehensible. Don't even get me started with the food. The special sauce (looks kind of like Thousand Island Dressing?) was okay, a little tangy w/hints of mayo, ketchup, maybe a little Worcestershire? Was the chicken amazing? No, not in my opinion my dear friend who recommended I try this. Not bad, just no explosion of great flavors on the palate; very ordinary like many other fast food chicken places. Not a fan of crinkle cut fries, always think that they were frozen (Ore-Ida?), but they were well seasoned and a very generous serving. The cole slaw was unimpressive, but in all fairness, I'm not a good judge of this item, so heed not my opinion. Slaw is not one of my favorite sides, except for the one version a good friend makes. His is outstanding! I think the favorite part of my meal was the buttery Texas toast. I wrapped part of a tender in the bread, added some ranch dressing and folded it into a sandwich. I'm a huge fan of Raising Cane's. The food's always hot, top-notch, and the absolute best thing life can offer. The service here is typically good as well. I usually use the drive-thru which is always fast, friendly, and accurate with my order. This time, I went inside and it was okay; not as great as the drive-thru. I don't know why, but the woman assisting us was so off-putting. She tried to ring up my order before taking my husband's. Then, she gave us ketchup and napkins and then was like, "Do you want ketchup and napkins?" and was about to put even more in. I can't support this specific chain of Cane's. I've gone through the drive through twice and both experiences have been lackluster. First visit, the drive through took ridiculously long. There wasn't a long line of cars, just one car ahead of me. That car didn't have a large order either. The drive through attendant sure did look like she was having a fun conversation with the customer however. I understand that they cook the food to order to get fresh food out, but this was significantly longer than the other locations I've been to. Second visit, I place my order, repeat it a few times because the attendant didn't hear the order the first time. I get home, its wrong. I look at the receipt, my order is correct on there, so I'm not sure where the disconnect is. So, if you go to this location, give yourself some extra time and make sure to check your orders. For me, I'll drive the extra distance to go to another location that operates correctly. read more
