Generally, I get good food and excellent service. Today, the food was good, but service was lacking. I was the only person at the drive through. I ordered, and the young man taking the order was very rushed. I drove around, paid for my order, and was directed to pull forward. I questioned where he wanted me to park since the other lane was blocked by workmen. He came back a few minutes later and indicated to park out by the street. I asked for sweet tea and a fork. I got unsweetened tea and a spoon. He apparently either doesn't understand English well, or just doesn't listen. Next time, I'll check my order before leaving. read more

This location has gotten my delivery order wrong multiple times now. I pay extra for delivery and tip the driver but end up having to drive back to the store myself to get the correct order. The correct order is on the ticket but the incorrect items are in the bag. Very disappointing read more

I used to patronize this location daily right after court every evening and sometimes early Friday. One Friday while dining on my usual 3pc Meal, I began experiencing serious Chest Pains and difficulty Breathing...The Beautiful Professional and Compassionate Young Black Cashier rushed to me...made sure I wasn't choking, told management, then called her Mother (from across the street at Goodwill, who rushed over to see about me), She (the Mother then called 911). Agencies responded from Carrollton, Richardson, Dallas, and Irving, and I was ultinately transported to Plano Presbyterian Hospital where I was Dianosed with a Heart Attack, Gall Bladder Failure, Hiatal Hernia and was Operated on Immediately (The First Robotic Surgery). Being a Vietnam Veteran, I was treated like a proverbial King. I'm alive today at 71 (9 years later) because of the wonderful Chicken Express Cashier and her Mother (whose names I don't have) but they know who they are just as the then Manager (Joe) who was always attentive and professional to me, knows. Super gross bathrooms toilets covered in piss all of the drink were flat and the tea was gross would not recommend

They do not use gloves when preparing food. The person handling my food wiped his nose on his shirt. So gross! Sweet tea tasted terrible. I was fearful of ingesting it because I did not want to become sick from it. read more

I got the 2 peice fish meal with okra and hush puppies. Fish- absolutely disgusting. No flavor or seasoning (I had to dunk it in tartar sauce to stand it) , it was dry, hard to chew (my jaw got sore from chewing it.) and it was probably equivalent to chewing breaded cardboard. Hushpuppes- delicious. 5/5 no complaints Okra- it was alright no complaints really just also had no seasoning. Yall could've added some salt to it or something this meal is pitiful. read more

This is my third time in a row with an issue. I call my orders in and EVERY TIME I still wait for 20 to 40 minutes. This time, I called in a simple order, decided to pick it up in the drive thru. The lady repeats my order and I orrected the drive thru lady bc she kept repeating an incorrect order, then when I get my order it's wrong. Even after asking her to please make sure it's correct, which she confirmed it was, it's wrong. This is beyond frustrating and unacceptable, and makes the 25 minute drive not worth it. read more

Chicken Express is one of favorite types of fried chicken, and this store did not disappoint. I normally just get their 2 pieces and a roll. It is the same price whatever pieces you choose. I confused the drive thru operator and the manager when I tried to pay my $13 + meal with a roll of dimes ($5) and a roll of quarters ($10). They were totally confused and said they couldn't take rolls of coins as payment. Poor management. Very shallow thinking people. read more

I usually really love chicken express compared to the other chicken franchises. However, today was probably one of the worst experiences I've had. I ordered through door-dash due to covid-19, which is probably the first mistake. We order two 7 piece chicken express order with drinks and a side of family corn nuggets. First thing is, when I got my order there wasn't any drinks with our order. Next, one of our orders was missing the last thing is probably the most unsanitary thing I've seen. A hair was right between my gravy and chicken. The chicken was awful cold and I also found some mold that I bit into. I'm not sure why your food would be worst when companies are trying to survive through this pandemic. read more

We have been frequent customers over the years, the last few visits have been awful. Orders always come out wrong but tonight was the final visit to this awful location. We have dietary restrictions due to health conditions & stated three times specifically NO bread, NO hush puppies. Ok she repeated. What can I say bout this place other than AMAZING. The chicken livers are off the charts. Went in Sunday and was greeted by the nicest young man. Sitting down I realized the music playing was praise and worship. My heart is happy. A lot of places won't even mention God and this place was letting people know where they stand. For fast food, very good. The chicken coating they fry the food in is golden crispy, tasty ...and addicting. I don't usually eat fast food, but darn this is good, worth the calories and cholesterol now and then. Service is fast and friendly. Nice price. This place is a go-to for fried chicken and delicious sides! I've been coming here for years and they rarely disappoint. I only have two things: 1: an employee at the drive thru spilled a large sweet tea over the outside and inside of my car, the lid wasn't on correctly but it's okay because nothing on the inside was damaged and the outside came right off. 2: they used to have smoothies and ice cream, but they got rid of it several summers ago. I live in the area and when I'm running errands I smell delicious chicken in the air. So one day I decided to stop by and try it out. Since I have heard good things about both their Chicken and fish, I ended up getting a piece of both, some fries, roll, and a drink. The chicken (breast) was sub-par. The skin was more brittle than crispy and not much flavor to it. The catfish was pretty solid. The fries were no big deal. I would recommend trying the catfish meals for sure, they are worthwhile. read more
