I work nearby and thought I'd stop by for an afternoon drink and snack. I say at the bar and watched them walk by me and state as if I was a foreign object for about 10 minutes before the bartender asked me if I knew what I wanted. I've never been here and didn't even get a menu so when I asked for one she rolled her eyes as she walked away to get it. I asked her what she recommended and started with that. It wasn't as good as I expected in fact I actually had to return it. Instead I got a rasberry lemonade which they sell frozen. As I'm waiting for my food a lady from another table asked for a glass of water with no ice, they looked at her and walked away. The salad was decent at least. Probably the best thing about this place besides the scenery. I guess if you don't have kids there's not much reason to be here.. I'm trying to find the motivation to stay. read more

awesome environment and good food! costumer service is excelent! we were helped by Ana Boscan, defin recommend!

Service was good. The waitress was really really nice and told us the food was going to take longer than usual. What I didn't like is that it took 1.37 hours for the food to get to our table. Then my food was cooked well done, when I asked for medium. I send it back and the cook I guess he thought I wouldn't noticed that He sent me the same meat back. Just with different sides since they also messed that up too. read more

Horrible- no greeting- food overpriced- too long to arrive - service was very poor very disappointing- don't bother

We love this place we got often usually on Fridays and he's one of the best place around Sawgrass Mills Mikey love it is kind really amazing walking around play with the different stuff that I carry it and obviously the animals are inside women going there for years and he's one of the favorite place to go I strongly recommend a good size cookies go get them but very good they also serve a lot of stuff for macaroni and cheese a lot of stuff so please go there and also has healthy stuff read more

It's was my fiancé and I's first time here, we've been wanting to take our 2 1/2 year old for a while now since she LOVES all animals. Just the inside itself was amazing. The server, Greg, was very friendly and had great recommendations. I got the sriracha honey salmon, it was delicious! We also started with the nachos which was plenty for the 3 of us. The GM ( can't remember his name) saw that our daughter was terrified of the moving animals and came to our table to try to talk to her and make her feel more comfortable. He even gave her a little toy elephant! We didn't get to try desert since the portions of our meals were more than generous, but we will DEFINITELY be back to try more items ! read more

I went here for a "Breakfast with Santa" event.. Ok, i'm sure they were swamped, etc.. No excuse for bad service though. I mean, who serves coffee and doesn't bring spoons? Or, when i requested one, brought over a huge one?! The food was mediocre at best, and the staff was definitely not ready for this event, nor was Santa. We did not partake in the "santa storytime" as we had already waited 90 minutes just to get the event going and we were not about to go into the tiny play area with 400 other guests. Will not be going to another "Breakfast with Santa" event at the Rainforest Cafe. Overall, very touristy and they need to train their staff better. read more

In a nutshell: overpriced mediocre food and bad atmosphere Don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. I decided to pay visit here since it's been forever and I had credit from my laundry's select club card. Lesson learned. For a Friday night my sister and I noticed the place was rather empty. I think I only counted 7 other tables. The service was ok, but the food was not as expected and disappointing considering the prices they charge. I had one of their special entrees from the seasonal menu ( can't recall the name of it) that featured 4 coconut ship skewers, a steak, and shrimp scampi. My sister and I though Paula Dean was cooking in the back because the theme of the meal seemed to be butter. There was a dollop of butter on top of the steak and the shrimp scampi sauce had the appearance of the leftover residue of pasta sauce when you re heat it in Tupperware. It was this dark orange clear liquid with me absolutely no flavor. The steak was okay, the coconut shrimp skewers were really good, but the shrimp of the shrimp scampi was very tuff as if over cooked. My sister had the seaside clam chowder which was good, however their menu States it has bacon and I noticed it was pieces of ham in the soup. She also have the natural burger which is pretty much a veggie burger. She mentioned it just tasted like a regular veggie burger you could buy the local grocery store nothing special. The service was okay I think the waiter checked on us twice but it was the other visitors and atmosphere that ruined the meal. There was a family sitting beside us that we're all clanking their silverware together very loudly. Worst part was the father was the instigator of it. Another table was allowing their children too runaround the location barefoot as if it was a jungle gym. And lastly every time a table would order the ice cream volcano dessert the staff yell the word "valcano" from the moment they exited the kitchen area in the back till they got to the table. Considering almost every table ordered one during our visit it became annoying rather quickly. This place used to be packed all the time with a long waiting list and good food, but apparently those days are gone. read more

This was my first time coming to this restaurant. I always wanted to bring my daughter so what a better day to bring her than on her 5th birthday right? The restaurant theme was pretty cool for kids.. however the place did smelled weird. Our service wasn't the greatest ever but it was ok. He was friendly but thats about it. Didn't even catch the waiter name. My daughter had a good time and thats all i care about. She ate her whole plate. Also the food for kids is pretty inexpensive, the contrary of what i thought. Now the plates itself, they were a little over priced and my steak wasn't even cooked the way i wanted it. It was still pink inside. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, i would come back but only for my daughter. Personally is not the best restaurant to go to for adults. read more

It was great when I first went inside until we sat down. My kids were scared of the moving gorilla's. When I asked to be moved to the fish tank area they told me we could not even though there was a lot of table available. Stay away it's a tourist trap and I'm pretty sure I got food poisoning last time. They get one star for the lightning show.

Brought my nephew here and we were so excited for him to experience Rainforest Cafe for the first time. We were disappointed as our waitress was rude and inattentive even though there was only one other table in our section at the time. Shortly after dinner we stopped into the rainforest Café merchandise store and realized that the waitress had not given us our card back. When we spoke to the manager about getting our card back from the waitress she said that the waitress claimed that she did not have the card. My nephew had also left some brand new toys on the table and when I asked about those the waitress told the manager that they had been "cleared away". When asked what that means the manager said that the waitress had thrown them away. When asked if this is typical protocol for items left behind the manager said it is not and they typically go in the lost and found. These items were very clearly brand new toys and could not have been mistaken for trash so I am unsure why the waitress would throw them away. I could also understand if they were tossed after a long period of time but we had stepped away for 10 minutes max before realizing. This was truly a disappointing experience and considering how much we paid we definitely expected better service. I would also like to note that the issue seemed to mostly be due to the waitress's poor service and not the manager, however, we still were unhappy with the way things turned out read more

Food is bad quality, actually it is quite gross. Atmosphere is the only thing that has this place going. This place has been there for over 10 years, and you can tell. I really don't know why it gets so hella packed. Actually its mostly kids that want to go, so they drag their poor parents. If you want to go, just go to the gift shop, look at the talking tree and fake alligator. That's basically as exciting as it gets... read more

BEWARE OF THE BAR! Lynnea is cocky and only cares about the service well drinks coming in. Not one bartender makes you feel welcomed. When I ordered my drink Lynnea decides to loudly say "ew that sounds disgusting" so everyone at the bar and the bar area could hear. Very unprofessional staff. The friendliest person working there was the host and the food runner! First time here and would never come back! read more

We came here for my nephew's first birthday. I hadn't been here in years so it was cool to come back. They really go for the theme here, as in all the employees have uniforms of tour guides, and they refer to themselves as such. The service and everyone who attended us was nice and very attentive. The place is more geared to children of course. Every 15 minutes or so the animals in the cafe (animatronics of course lol) would start to roar, the elephants would do its thing, the chimps theirs, and so forth. It's pretty cool. They have a gift shop right next to and also a bar, which is really cool because it's under a giant mushroom. Like I said, it's geared for children and tourist. The food is kind of pricey, but I had no complains with the quality of it at all. It's cool to come here for a kid's special occasion, so ya. read more

The place is interesting I think great for kids but the food......disgusting..the rasta pasta came tasteless and swimming in oil as tho it had been sitting there for at least 15 to 20 minutes before being served to me. My husband had the jungle steak and shrimp....the shrimp was swimming in some sort of light red butter or was it oil in a bowl to the side I am not quite sure..the vegetables were soaked in oil and lacked seasoning on every level possible. The whole meal was an absolute fail and the pasta I had shouldn't even be on the menu anymore. The food took ages to come. Probably would explain why it was closer to cold than warm. Even the waiter we had told me he hadn't ordered that pasta in over 2 years as it was or is the worst pasta ever made....EVER! read more

Well i have forgotten to write a review to this place. I absolutely loved it! I came here for my sons first broadband let me tell you he enjoyed every minute. About every 20 minutes there is a show cases of the animals displayed start to act up as if they were in the wild he enjoyed that very much. The food i must say a little pricey but its worth it. i was completely satisfied it was delicious. The gift shop on the side is a total must have to go. Or if you're to grown up for that there is also a bar on the other side : ) read more

I will always have a special place in my heart for RC! Your first time experience there is close to jaw dropping- it's unlike anything you've ever experienced! There are big staged animals lurking throughout the restaurant and big standing, cylinder shaped aquariums. Every couple of minutes, there is a thunderstorm, where the restaurant gets dark and crackles like a real live thunderstorm! The ceiling is absolutely stunning- it is foggy and star lit, wonderful to gaze up at while eating! Don't order the volcano dessert unless you want the whole restaurant to hear "VOLCANOOOO!" The staff yells this if you order this dessert. It is very decadent and rich in flavor, totally worth the 5 seconds of embarrassment! The drinks and food are good and not outrageously priced. The gift shop is fun and has everything from some stylish tops, t shirts, key chains, mugs, anything and everything else- you name it! This will always be a unique place to eat and up there with my other top 10 favorites! read more

The worst service I have ever seen. Went in on a Monday night with my 7 year old and there was no more then 12 people in the whole place. After 20 minutes and no service we left. The fact that I was dragged and consumed food from here saddens me.

This experience was amazing the food, the atmosphere, the costumer service were all well above standards. Everything from the menu that we ordered was cooked to perfection and served well, 5 stars. read more

While shopping at sawgrass my wife and I decided to go here for dinner tonight because we thought our 13 month old would like it due to all the animatronics and atmosphere. Our son did seem to like it however we were not to happy with our service. Our waitress was extremely slow and not very attentive what so ever. The food was ok but a little pricy. Do to our server being so slow we asked for our check before finishing our food figuring by the time she brought it to us we should be almost done. Once she brought it I place my card in it and waited for her to come back for it. After waiting for a little while we saw the mgr and asked him to take it so we could pay which he took it and than told us our waitress will be back with it shortly. The waitress came back and dropped off my card and receipt and didn't ask for my I.D. As it states to do so on back of card. Not sure if I will return. read more

If I could rate a 0 , I would but I became a Landry Select Club member recently on the 26th of August and one of the hostess named Ornella ignored me and my friend and literally had us waiting 10 minutes for a table when the place was practically empty and she decided to sit a couple in front of us and mind you there was no wait time at all. Another employee named Gabe decided to seat us because he seen how rude the hostess was to us when we just wanted to eat and it was my friends first time here. That hostess was very disrespectful and she decided to tell the managers that me and my guest "threatened " her when all we wanted was to eat. And I received a call the next day from the rainforest cafe saying that I am BANNED from their ONLY location in south Florida when they didn't even take our side of the story. I am disappointed and I will be calling corporate on Monday because that's not how you treat your LSC customers AT ALL . But the food was great and the server Gabe was amazing. But the rest of the customer service is just BAD ! read more

The food was horrible my pork was cold the waitress took forever to bring anything. I ordered a margarita and after 15 minutes she came back and I asked her to cancel it and she said oh I never put it in the first place sorry. this place has terrible food and it's way too overpriced. the only saving grace are the animatronic animals that are kind of cool and the fish tanks. I cannot stress how bad the food and service were here. read more

This has been my favorite restaurant since I was a little kid, and today we decided to stop in for a little snack! We sat at the bar (we were the only ones there) we told Manny (the blonde bartender) we would like something quick. She never greeted us, never smiled just asked "what do u want to drink" I've worked in the restaurant business for 8+ years I have the most patience because I know it's never the server/bartender, BUT when people that come in 20-30 minutes after me get there food before me?? That's a problem. I ordered an appetizer and tacos. Should not take long, and when I asked what was taking so long she got mouthy and said "I'm the only one back here" which in fact she wasn't, there was somebody at the service bar making drinks for all the servers. Then when I asked again, 25 minutes later she said "it's coming" and walked away. Another 30 minutes went by and everybody's wondering why I'm upset???? Whenever I told her I wanted my food in a box she questioned me. Never will I ever come to this location again. read more

The idea of this place is nice.. but their food is probably only good to people with no taste buds. They claimed there was a 2 hour wait (just like all of the other reviews here said) but NO ONE was in the restaurant and I counted atleast 12 servers that were just walking around the place doing nothing or sitting by the bar laughing with the bartender. I watched one of the servers grab someone's straw by the top where your mouth would go while they were filling the drink up and then put it back in the cup. Disgusting! The food was awful, the bartender was rude, the servers were slow with refills and I feel like they were purposely avoiding their tables- even though no one was in the restaurant. This location is definitely not a great experience compared to the Orlando ones. My taco salad was missing several of the ingredients that were listed on the menu and was almost $20 for chicken that tasted like dry rubber- I could barely even chew it. None of the servers seemed to care about my friend and I because we are younger. Overall the food was awful, the service was horrendous, and I feel like I should get my stomach pumped after eating here. read more

This use to be a great place. Service was decent at least our waitress was nice but manager and the rest of crew were pretty snobby, not really willing to accommodate seating arrangement at all being that we were with 2 small children. food was terrible and cold. 3 hours of being there not enjoyable at all. Last time I will ever get near that place. Really disappointed. read more

What can I say about Rainforest Café? Honestly, reading the reviews I was hesitant at first to take my family here to eat. Nevertheless, my daughter loves wildlife and she really wanted to go so we gave them a shot. Upon arrival, we had a wait time of 30 mins, which is honestly average with the flow of customers they had coming in and out the place. We walked around the gift shop and the nearby shops before being called to our seat. Our greeter asked if this was our first time here, which we said yes, so he took us to a mini tour of the restaurant. He informed us that every 15 minutes the animals will come alive and every 30 minutes we will have a thunderstorm. We were then seated next to the tigers, my daughters favorite animal, she was smiling from ear to ear. So far, so good. Our waitress came and took our order. She was nice. We ordered for starters the Pita Quesadilla. It was truly a remarkable dish to start things off. The pico de gallo was freshly made and the flavor of the quesadilla was delicious. For our main dishes, my daughter had the Jurassic Chicken Tidbits with Mashed Potatoes, my misses had the Fish-N-Chips, and I had the Blue Mountain Chicken Sandwich. We received the order fresh and hot, not heat lamp hot, straight from the kitchen to our table hot. My daughter enjoyed her meal just as much as seeing the tigers come alive during our visit. My misses complimented the freshness of her dish, including the coleslaw which she mentioned it having a sweet taste. My dish has surpassed my expectations. The ingredients were fresh and prepared the way it was described. We were going to have a dessert, but we were already full from the meal we just had. The prices some say are a bit high, but not by much to other places to dine in. It's a great place for kids and for parents who are still kids at heart. The staff was knowledgable and friendly. The manager asked if we were enjoying our visit at the Rainforest Café. Definitely would come back with the family whenever we are around the area. read more
