We came to the Rainforest Cafe to enjoy the experience with our son. I haven't been here since I was a kid so it felt so sweet to come back with my son and see him experience it for the first time. The service was great. Our waitress was very sweet. The food was okay. We mainly came here for the experience. Overall it was a great time!

We had a reservation at Rainforest Cafe, but still had to wait an additional 45 minutes to be seated. Honestly, what's the point of a reservation if it doesn't hold your spot? That part was very frustrating. On the positive side, the atmosphere is great and the animals are super realistic, and the kids absolutely loved it. The food was actually pretty decent too, better than I expected for a themed restaurant. Food also takes a long time...so hopefully you aren't in a rush or with fussy kids. Overall, fun for the kids and worth it for the experience, but be prepared to wait even if you book ahead.

I came here for lunch during the weekend and it's as full which is great to actually a enjoy a very calm lunch . The decorations are so pretty love the rainforest and jungle vibes are amazing definitely feels like you're somewhere and not at the mall . The big platter appetizers are great for sharing and the spinach dip was delicious. Great service and friendly staff.

Our waiter was attentive made suggestions of his favorite selections. The atmosphere is much like the name is that of the rainforest. Animatronics, aquariums, decorations and menu are all theme based. The appetizer is big enough to share with a whole family. Join Landrys rewards to earn points and the birthday reward of $25 can be used at any Landry restaurant. Great restaurant for kids who love the zoo or jungle animals. Adult meals are around $25 but are very large portions! Gift shop is super cute and has lots of souvenirs to choose from.

The only one minus star was for the food wait. It took around 20-30 minutes for the food to come, but it was freshly cooked and still really hot. The area was amazing! My little boy who is 5 1/2 years old really love the fish tanks, rainbow hippo and the elephant that moves and honk once in a while. The ambiance was really very welcoming for all ages.. we missed this resto when they have one in Chicago. The food were awesome! And very big portions..no wonder it is priced this much. I ordered their korean stir fry and it stings a bit, but was very delicious and spicy. Then my son ordered fish and chips and wasn't able to finish everything. Lastly, the coconut shrimp is kind of OK. The curry flavor was in the rice. The kid's meal is great as well. We're definitely coming back here!

This rainforest themed chain restaurant located in The Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise offers classic fare among jungle flora and animatronic animals. They also have a gift shop, aquariums and jungle decor while waiting for your table. It is a great place for families. It does feel a bit humid and a little smelly from the jungle fog that is produced. I had the Fish and Chips $24.99 and substituted the fries for mash potatoes, also coleslaw. It was all so delicious. Our server was very friendly and efficient.

Over the past weekend, I visited rainforest Café with my niece and her boyfriend for dinner. Inside the restaurant, it is very beautiful. There are many large fish tanks that has tropical fish and some other beautiful creatures in them. Obviously the theme of the restaurant is a rainforest so there are lots of greenery and many different species of animals throughout the restaurant (not live), and some of them come to life every now and then. The scenery and the animal makes this place very unique and it's the most special part about rainforest Café.. however their food and their service is not top-tier. I was far from impressed with their menu. We tried very hard to choose an appetizer, but we just could not pick one. None of the appetizers seemed interesting or different for us to want to try for a rainforest themed restaurant.. we ordered a couple drinks, some margaritas and Mojito and then we went on straight to ordering our main course. We got two different types of pasta and a sandwich which came with french fries. The food is very mediocre. There is not a wow factor in it, which would make me want to say 'oh my I can't wait to return and have this again'.. I honestly hate to say this, but the food there is very bland. What made the sandwich dish stand out was that it was served with a curry dipping sauce other than that it was a standard fried chicken breast on a potato bun alongside some french fries fries. The service here was not the best. I have been to other places and have received much greater service at more lower end places.. our server took a while arrive at our table once we were seated, it was all of our first time here so we did need a moment to look over the menu to figure out what exactly we. She came back to the table twice and at that point we just said OK we're ready to order.. our order was placed and 15-20 minutes later food came out. Somebody was assisting our server to bring out food, and she was very confused as to which person ordered what dish.. personally if I had to pay my own money to come to this restaurant, I would probably pass. I obviously came for dinner because I was given a gift card and instead of wasting it, we decided to have dinner here while my niece was visiting me over the weekend.. it is not somewhere that I plan on returning back to. The restaurant like I said before it's very nice and it's entertaining. Maybe if you have small children, they might find it enjoyable. Drinks price seem very high and most of their drinks come in a souvenir glass which our server said that we cannot opt out of. Basically you are spending $15 for a margarita and you're paying for the glass which if you leave behind you'll feel guilty because you literally just paid for it. I wish that they did have drink options where you do not need to get it in a souvenir glass.. according to our server they do not.

Took my children here for a birthday. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I enjoyed everything we had. The coconut shrimp and sauce were a big hit! The ambiance was nice although I do think it's way too dark inside. I could barely see the menu. Every so often they would have a small display with lights and sounds of the rainforest. I think a nice touch would be if there were a rainforest character that comes out to entertain the kids and give high fives and hello's. Kids enjoyed themselves.

What a cool and fun experience! Rainforest Cafe has a tropical ambiance that is so comforting and relaxing. I had to have a tropical drink to go with the atmosphere. I ordered the turkey and cheese panini and it was a nice portion size. Great place to take family, especially kids! They have a large gift shop after you exit. It was nice we were able to keep our souvenir glasses and they gave us clean ones to take home.

I ate at Rainforest Cafe this weekend for a kids' birthday dinner celebration. The place is super cute and unique! It was my first time here and I was not expecting such an immersive environment with a large gift shop and actual rainforest decor. I got the Korean chicken lettuce wraps and they were super crispy and delicious. This is not the most upscale restaurant ever but it's such a fun place particularly for kids. The service was a bit slow. They had a lot of customers and seemed a bit overwhelmed. Also, the bathrooms smelled bad and were quite dirty. I recommend that they pay more attention to the cleanliness of their restrooms as it's a reflection of the overall cleanliness of their restaurant. Overall, minus the slow service and dirty bathrooms, it was a cute and fun experience.

Came in around 6:00 pm today before the Seventeen concert happening at Amerant right next to the mall. Not busy, and was brought to a table quickly. Felix, our server, was super nice and got us our drinks and food within 15 mins! Felix recommend the cheetah rita for a sour drink for my friend, and I went with the strawberry mojito -- both were on point! Food was HOT (we got the caribbean coconut shrimp and korean fried chicken lettuce wraps (these are spicy but good)) and had good delicious crunches with big portions! We got to experience the thunderstorm (fitting for Seventeen -- alo alo T-H-U-N-D-E-R) and lots to look at inside and in the gift shop. Will come again when we're back in Fort Lauderdale, hopefully soon!

I've been here a few times now and have had good experiences. The service was quick and friendly. This is located in the Sawgrass Mills Mall; parking is plenty but most times you do have to walk far. The restaurant is located behind the store; the store is eye catching and decorated like a jungle. A huge talking tree, a hanging gorilla, and a slithering snake to name a few. There's a huge fish tank and a bar with rainfall around the perimeter. Inside the restaurant, there were lions and various of other jungle animals that move and make sounds periodically. The food and drinks I've had were great. I've had the pastalaya and BBQ bacon cheeseburger; those entrees were good! If you have children they will be thrilled! My toddler loves this place. I look forward to going back when I'm back in town.

Dont understand all the low reviews. Ive been here to eat with my kids years ago and it was the atmosphere that went well beyond the taste of the food. Large menus are placed out front for browsing. We walked in to find out the Happy Hour specials but just missed it (due to the wife's shopping) But, we spoke with the overly personable bartender and she explained some of the food items on the Happy Hour menu. For $30 you get a mexican assortment of finger food plenty for two or three people. In addition, they did offer craft beer and my wife's favorite Coke ICEE machine in the bar (she usually adds a shot of rum). Maybe they should add that to the happy hour menu as a special. Anyways, the decor actually felt as if we were in the rainforest. Every inch of the place was trees and large motion pieces. We are definately going to this happy hour in a few days and we wont be late again. Strong 4.5 stars do to the atmosphere. I think kids and adults would like it here.

We came after a busy morning at the beach and I was craving something fresh. After a quick search on Yelp, I found Naked Farmer and was reminded that we were super close to it. It's fairly close to Sawgrass Mills mall and is in a plaza with a good amount of parking. Although the outside seems small, the space inside is pretty long and has a good amount of seating. The servining is "chipotle-style" where you order your food and customize it how you want it and pay at the register at the end. I shared a bowl with my partner and we got half rice and half greens, some toppings, and the chicken thigh. This was a good amount for us to share and it was delicious! We also tried their date cake and my partner was a huge fan of it. I loved how clean the inside was and how nice all the staff was. They had water cups for self service and it was cold even without ice, which I loved! When you're done with your food, you put them away in a cabinet which is constantly cleaned out by staff which helped give the space a clean aesthetic. Very thought through and intentional on their behalf. Loved Naked Farmer and would definitely get again if I'm in the area or craving something fresh!

And the place is brightly lit and seems to be really clean. On this day, I decided to try the roasted chicken. I believe it was supposed to have some type of rosemary on it. I'm not sure what's going on these days but it seems like most places are cooking chicken when it's still frozen. It just had that cooked from frozen texture to it. It was tough and bland. I tried the macaroni and cheese, which I did like and the carrots, which I also did like, both solid sides something I would get again. I was able to get the kale Caesar with my plate, which I thought was excellent. It had the right amount of dressing on it. I do plan on returning to try the salmon. Hopefully I have a better experience with that.

TLDR; don't eat here…read more Today I went with my coworkers to brunch to celebrate one of our coworkers' new baby. We were in great spirits and the energy was good while the dj was playing good music. We were catching up and vibing. I will start by saying while I loved being with my coworkers I would not return again. The server was new and nice. We all ordered drinks - espresso martinis, fire and ice mojito, aperol spritz, lemonade, cappuccino etc. The espresso martinis were watery coffee drinks missing baileys. The fire and ice mojito was so sweet and had no taste of rum. I asked for a regular mojito instead and still sweet but better. And the lemonade was forgotten until we reminded the server while we already had our food. We all ordered after drinks - salads, shrimp and grits, breakfast plate, and chicken and waffles. My chicken and waffles were okay the syrup came out cold and the butter was an interesting consistency... They messed up the salad orders. The shrimp and grits my friend got tasted like they forgot to put oil until the end. And my one coworker asked for no meat and they brought it out for her on the side. Overall, I was disappointed with the food and drinks. Based on this experience I would not recommend. And to Matchbox, please do better.

Not only was he very apologetic, he seemed like he actually cared about making the situation right. After inquiring a bit more about the service that night he graciously invited me back for another meal. I understand mistakes happens so it's truly about how they're taken care of after the fact. In this case, it was handled well. I decided to come for brunch this time & overall, it was a really good meal. They weren't super busy but service was good. Our appetizers, drinks & meals all came out in a timely manner. For the most part, everything was right but one of the hash brown sides came out cold (it was quickly swapped for fresh ones). My chicken & waffles were delicious. I especially liked how freshly breaded/fried the chicken was. There was a misunderstanding when it came to ordering our drinks, however. I ordered one that should've came iced but got the other coffee beverage which is served warm. When I brought it up to the waiter he was adamant that it's what I ordered & how it's served. After I questioned it once more, he stuck to that, so I kept the drink. Thankfully, it tasted really good & was poured well but it wasn't what I ordered. It was just a bit off putting that he said it was. He said he'd take the drinks off but this was after we went back & forth about it. This isn't a make or break situation for me but he was set in his ways. As a server, you need to be as adaptive as possible, even if you believe you're right. I'm super thankful to have been invited back because it was a nice meal, as I expected. I'm glad I can now tell people to try them out in good conscience. If you're looking for some delicious food, tasty drinks & good service then you should stop by. They have something for everyone & their staff does a solid job.

Ally's Comfort Cafe - 136th and State Road 84 in Davie…read more I really did not want to leave this review. I tried with all of my might to do everything I could to not leave this review. Ally's comfort Café has been a staple in Northwest Davie forever. *Now, Ally, moved away a little while ago and new owners took over. They kept the same recipes which made us hopeful that things would pretty much remain the same. But little by little all of the staff that had been there for years started leaving. I think there's only a couple of the longtime staff left. We'll get back to the staff in a moment. My wife and I go to Ally's every Saturday morning. We go there have a great breakfast and then go to the Publix next-door to do our weekly shopping. There's obviously going to be hiccups when new owners take over a restaurant. We totally understand this. But some things are just not improving. They open at 8 AM on Saturdays. But, between 8 and 9 AM there's only one waitress and one bus boy this didn't always used to be the case. They used to have the full staff and someone at the door to take names. He would also help out by getting you drinks or more coffee if you needed it. It worked really well for the small family restaurant. The new owners took over and at some point they decided they only needed limited staff between 8 and 9 AM on Saturdays. And of course, every Saturday my wife and I go in there. It gets packed and the waitress is running around like her head is cut off and the busboy is overwhelmed. This isn't a one time thing it has been constant since they made the staffing change. It's completely unfair to the waitress and busboy and it's also a complete turn off to patrons who have to wait sometimes up to 10 or 15 minutes just for the poor waitress to come and take their order this morning. A couple waited 20 minutes before their order was taken. Also, the owner/manager doesn't get there until almost 9 herself, which means there's no management in the restaurant to help with the register or put out "fires." It. Is. Not. Working. Ally's has been known for their specials for years. They always have amazing special pancakes and special French toast. It's one of the main reasons we still go there. It's our little weekly treat. Lately the specials have been very monotonous. Some sort of jelly put on some French toast or some sort of cream put on a pancake. Not real imaginative for instance, today was banana cream and chocolate pancakes. It was a dollop of banana cream on a chocolate pancake that had little taste. One could've added some fresh bananas, or maybe some whipped cream on top of that. Meanwhile, the special pancakes and special French toast are often made wrong by the staff. This happened this morning. It took them twice to get the pancakes right and three times to get the French toast, right. Again, this is not a one time occur occurrence. We never complain. But we were surprised to still see those items on the bill and not discounted at all, but that's OK. The thing that really drove me to write this review, is that I waited for more than 10 minutes to speak to the owner/manager on our way out. I thought the best way to handle our dissatisfaction would be to speak to her personally. She disappeared into the kitchen, and even after the waitress went to tell her we were waiting to speak with her, she was nowhere to be found. No I understand things come up in the kitchen, but she could've at least came out and said hey I know you're here, I'm dealing with a problem, I'll be right back. But we waited and waited and waited and nothing despite all of the above, that's what irked me the most. I will say this. The food is still very good. And the waitresses and buses are amazing. None of this is their fault. They should all be paid more in dealing with a kitchen that can't get right and an owner that can't seem to figure out good customer service. We will certainly give them another chance, it's part of our routine. But after biting my tongue, I had to let everyone know what was happening at one of our favorite spots in Broward County.

During my recent visit, I had an interaction with a manager named Carisa that was extremely disappointing. As I was about to place my order, she approached my table and threatened to contact corporate to have me permanently banned over a comment I made. That comment stemmed from something I personally witnessed the previous week, where she was speaking harshly and unprofessionally to two young waitresses in front of customers. It was uncomfortable to observe and not reflective of the level of professionalism I expect from management. Her approach toward me was confrontational and inappropriate, especially given that I was simply there as a paying customer. In my experience, leadership should demonstrate professionalism, composure, and respect--both toward staff and guests. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I've never encountered behavior like this at any Flanigan's location before, which is why this experience stood out. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as it does not reflect well on the brand. She even dare me to call corporate as in she thinks she is above Flanigan's upper management.
