Today they broke my bugaboo stroller @ Rainforest Cafe at Sawgrass Mills and after making me look like a liar and telling me that it was impossible because their employees were trained to not move strollers, which is a big fat lie since when I went to retrieve my stroller there was a guy moving strollers around, they also told me that it was not their responsability even though I was obligated to park my stroller in the stroller parking of the restaurant because you cannot go inside the restaurant with the stroller. What a joke! I was reading reviews and lots of people got either their stroller broken or stuff robbed ! BE AWARE PEOPLE. In addition, the food is truly mediocre and very expensive. Today we got 2 iced teas, 2 kids meals , one burger and one taco and paid $60 and the food was bad! This is very sad! Such a nice place they don't care about you , it is a turist trap! This place was amazing. The service was great and the food was incredibly delicious. I had the steak and shrimp with fresh veggies cooked medium rare. It was delicious!!! This restaurant used to be amazing when I was ten-years old. Today, it's gone down on the list. The food is just blahhh, for lack of a better word. It's more-or-less comparable to something you'd get at TGI Fridays or Chiles. Nothing great. They try to do those "speciality" platters, paired with steak, chicken, and shrimp, which is decent. But loaded with butter. You can barely taste the actual food, the only flavor that comes through is the butter. The restaurant itself is still pretty badass though. You're eating in a rainforest that rains every half-hour. Monkey, elephants, and tropical tress surround you and they try their hardest to make you feel like you're going on a safari adventure. They're great at accommodating large groups too. It's great for kids, they'll have the time of their lives. And foreigners who have never experienced a restaurant like this before will probably love it. But if you've had it once, you've had it enough. read more

Meh. I've experienced better is exactly how I feel about this restaurant located inside Sawgrass Mills... Its almost a tourist trap... The food is sub-par and they're charging you anywhere from $19.99 to $24.99 for it... The half rack of ribs with soggy friends was not my favorite... The decor inside is nice ... Our table was next to the hostess who continually walked and said to incoming guests "And the Bathroom is Over the Rainbow". We couldn't wait to finish eating and leave. read more

I decided to have a Small family dinner for my daughter's seventh birthday at rainforest Café in sunrise on a Tuesday. My reservation was for 16 but we had about 6 other people show up last minute. They accommodated us extremely well. My party was already 10-15 min late to the reservation. They could've canceled us but they did not which I am thankful for. There was a few things that went wrong though. They've got a number of different pastas on the menu and distributed them to the wrong people. So after three or four bites four of my guests were unhappy with their meals. Pastas are around $21+ so that was $80+ down the drain. It took over an hour for them to cook for the table so re-ordering wasn't really an option because they were already closed. One person ordered a strawberry lemonade (thinking that it was just regular strawberry lemonade) and it was $8! A non-alcoholic drink... $8??? The kids meal isn't even $8. 2 of my guests ordered well done steaks that had pink in the middle. Nobody's food was really that great to be honest...it was more so for the themed restaurant. Came here to have a great meal since I love sawgrass mills mall. I intended to sit down and have a great meal and a few drinks since I had a long day at work. My wallet had been stolen a few nights prior and I haven't had a time to get my new ID however I did have a picture on my phone. I ordered my drinks and I attempted to show my ID on my phone and they were not able to except it. The manager came out and told me they weren't able to accept it and I could take my business elsewhere. Honestly I felt disrespected. I am a 32-year-old woman who has been drinking for 11 years. And even to take a look at the picture on my ID that is me and to take a look at the age because that's all that matters to make sure that I'm over the age of 21 was very difficult for them. And in result they honestly did not even want my business. There is no way that this is professional. And I would never eat here again. I would never refer anyone here. And it is a bad look for Sawgrass Mills Mall. read more

I'm only giving it 4 stars because the kids loved it and the food wasn't too bad. I'm not sure if I just had low expectations and was pleasantly surprised, but I had a pretty good experience there. The kids absolutely had a blast with the cheesy mechanical animals that started moving and making jungle noises every 15-20 minutes or so. The fishtanks are pretty nice too, they help keep the kids entertained while we waited for the food. I went for lunch, and I was actually expecting it to be more expensive than it was. I had the fish taco lunch and it was only $9.95 which I thought was pretty cheap. I also had a soda that was around $2. My daughter had a kid's meal hotdog, side dish and drink and it was only $5.99 or something like that. I thought it was very inexpensive actually. I would recommend if you have kids! Our server was very friendly and nice. FYI, on larger parties they put an automatic gratuity, I believe it was 15% but I'm not sure. Since our bill was so low, I upped the tip to about 25% because I thought our server was decent. read more

Solid fare typical of a Landry's restaurant. Definitely a step up from Chuck E. Cheese if you are looking for a place to take the kids. I had the shrimp platter special. Scampi wasn't great but the bacon-wrapped stuffed shrimp were great. My wife had a tasty pasta. Kids meals were definitely on the lower end quality-wise but the boys didn't notice. What a fun restaurant this was! I hadn't been here in about 15 years because they closed the one near me, but it was a lot of fun. This is great for children's birthday parties but I had fun as a 25 year old. The food was definitely better than I expected and they have a variety of options. It reheated well. I was completely surprised when I visited this restaurant last week midday midweek ,with my 5 grandchildren. 20 minute wait time . I have been here in the past and was not looking forward to the food. But wow! Food was delicious (pasta dish with veggies and chicken) the fajitas were also great. Kids had a wonderful time too. We had the volcano brownie and ice cream for my granddaughters which came with a sparkler and the staff singing and clapping. Food is great and service is pleasent. The gift shop is also a wild adventure. From the croc in the pond outside the store, to the clown face on a tree, this restaurant gets me. Unimpressive burgers, ok nachos and salads, frozen fries, and low quality kids meals, except for the mini cheeseburgers which were decent. Not worth the trip though. The blaring Mexican music seemed a little off from the 'tropical' theme. We would have done better and enjoyed ourselves more at Chipotle and had a more genuine atmosphere. The men's room smelled terrible from the urine all over the floor. My four-year-old said, "This place stinks!" I agree. This chain's corporate office should be ashamed. We ordered 2 adult entrees and a kids pizza. The food took at least 30 mins to reach us, and were brought out within 5 minutes of each other. The food was good, no problem there... But we waited another 20/30 mins for the server to come back to clear the table, and he never checked on us to see how it was. Then I waited another at least 30 mins for him to pick up the check... I gave up, and asked the 3 other servers who were at the front doing nothing, and they seemed confused about what to do with my bill and my credit card. Finally got out of there at some point, but his tip reflected the service we received... And to be honest, he didn't even deserve what I gave him. It's was my fiancé and I's first time here, we've been wanting to take our 2 1/2 year old for a while now since she LOVES all animals. Just the inside itself was amazing. The server, Greg, was very friendly and had great recommendations. I got the sriracha honey salmon, it was delicious! We also started with the nachos which was plenty for the 3 of us. The GM ( can't remember his name) saw that our daughter was terrified of the moving animals and came to our table to try to talk to her and make her feel more comfortable. He even gave her a little toy elephant! We didn't get to try desert since the portions of our meals were more than generous, but we will DEFINITELY be back to try more items ! read more

The restaurant theme was pretty cool for kids.. however the place did smelled weird. Our service wasn't the greatest ever but it was ok. He was friendly but thats about it. Didn't even catch the waiter name. My daughter had a good time and thats all i care about. She ate her whole plate. Also the food for kids is pretty inexpensive, the contrary of what i thought. Now the plates itself, they were a little over priced and my steak wasn't even cooked the way i wanted it. It was still pink inside. I recommend this restaurant for the following reasons. Location: The atmosphere is directed towards children, although entertaining for grown ups. Animal-animatronics, jungle flora and lots of live fish and sound effects. Thankfully nothing too distracting. Food: I was satisfied with the food. As I only had a light hunger my meal consisted exclusively of appetizers. The onion rings were probably frozen, but tasted really well. The sauce was a great addition. The mozzarella sticks have a great flavor. I also tried the tomato soup which was rich flavored and tasted fresh. My drink was a very refreshing home made lemonade. I work nearby and thought I'd stop by for an afternoon drink and snack. I say at the bar and watched them walk by me and state as if I was a foreign object for about 10 minutes before the bartender asked me if I knew what I wanted. I've never been here and didn't even get a menu so when I asked for one she rolled her eyes as she walked away to get it. I asked her what she recommended and started with that. It wasn't as good as I expected in fact I actually had to return it. Instead I got a rasberry lemonade which they sell frozen. As I'm waiting for my food a lady from another table asked for a glass of water with no ice, they looked at her and walked away. The salad was decent at least. Probably the best thing about this place besides the scenery. I guess if you don't have kids there's not much reason to be here.. I'm trying to find the motivation to stay. read more

Brought my nephew here and we were so excited for him to experience Rainforest Cafe for the first time. We were disappointed as our waitress was rude and inattentive even though there was only one other table in our section at the time. Shortly after dinner we stopped into the rainforest Café merchandise store and realized that the waitress had not given us our card back. When we spoke to the manager about getting our card back from the waitress she said that the waitress claimed that she did not have the card. My nephew had also left some brand new toys on the table and when I asked about those the waitress told the manager that they had been "cleared away". When asked what that means the manager said that the waitress had thrown them away. When asked if this is typical protocol for items left behind the manager said it is not and they typically go in the lost and found. These items were very clearly brand new toys and could not have been mistaken for trash so I am unsure why the waitress would throw them away. I could also understand if they were tossed after a long period of time but we had stepped away for 10 minutes max before realizing. This was truly a disappointing experience and considering how much we paid we definitely expected better service. I would also like to note that the issue seemed to mostly be due to the waitress's poor service and not the manager, however, we still were unhappy with the way things turned out read more

BEWARE OF THE BAR! Lynnea is cocky and only cares about the service well drinks coming in. Not one bartender makes you feel welcomed. When I ordered my drink Lynnea decides to loudly say "ew that sounds disgusting" so everyone at the bar and the bar area could hear. Very unprofessional staff.
