The food is excellent, fresh and great quality. The staff is outstanding. I very much recommend it.

We've always enjoyed coming to this place. The food, while not anything out of this world and a little pricey, is good enough and vibes great with the safari theme. We came to a kid's birthday party and the experience was super cool. There was face painting and they got safari gift bags. You want to just walk around the whole place and see all the awesome stuff. read more

Came on a Saturday night expecting a wait. There was none. Which was surprising and nice. Once we got in we were told by a server that she would be over in a few minutes. Which I thought was an odd choice of words, but no big deal. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer. My son wanted the drink in the gorilla, but they didn't have it. They only seem to the frog and the parrot each time we go. It took a little bit longer than I would expect to get our appetizer. We had a nice young lady come over to us and she made a balloon t-Rex for our son, which he loved. She also takes credit cards for payment, which is great because I never carry cash. My wife got "taste of the islands" which she loved. I got the "pastalaya" which I was warned that it was spicy. And it was. The spice was all I could taste. And that is why I deducted the 1 star. The experience was great otherwise! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. We first went there when it first opened over 20 years ago. The food was crap then but kids loved it and it just opened so I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Now I took my adult daughter with her two kids there, thinking they've had 20+ years to improve the food, but it was WORSE!!!! how is that possible. We had nothing fancy, steak fajitas, chicken sandwich and spinach artichoke dip. My daughter ordered spaghetti for her boys (4 and 2) as an appetizer so it would come out first, then she would put our order in, ok fine. so we wait, and wait, and wait. Meantime, I asked the manager where my food was, she gave me some fries while I wait, but took forever for chicken sandwich, then when I got it, it was TERRIBLE. The breast was dry, overcooked and no flavor. My wife ordered caesar salad. It came out DRIPPING and SOAKED in dressing, she couldn't even eat it. My daughters fajitas was so tough she could barely eat it. I call the manager over and I say "how can you screw up a chicken sandwich? how can you screw up a salad? how can you screw up steak fajitas? and the food isn't cheap. My chicken sandwich was almost $20!!! the original bill was over $93!!! what a ripoff!! I told the manager I can make better chicken than what I had. We WILL NOT be back!!! read more

I love this place love the ambiance and food!! If you have never been here you have to come and take a look for yourself the pictures don't do it justice read more

I was hesitant to visit this location due to some not so great reviews and poor quality pictures, I'm glad that I gave it a try. Very but very clean, very pleasant atmosphere and great service. My friend and I ordered the Rasta pasta and kids meal for the child. My pasta was made with pesto sauce and my friend with Alfredo sauce. Presentation of the food was great and tasted delicious, fresh and really well made. Actually tasted like homemade pasta. I will definitely be back and you definitely should give it a try. Thank you . read more

Surprisingly pleased with the taste and quality of the food. We were strolling the mall when dinner time unexpectedly swooped down up us and we happened to be walking by this restaurant. We decided to give it a try. As a starter, we ordered the Nachos Appetizer, and I swear that was big enough to feed 3 people. It was huge! We immediately called the server and canceled one of our entrees. The Nachos were excellent. Very flavorful. I had the Pastalaya which was well-seasoned, piquant and the chicken and shrimp were tender. The service was great and the prices are reasonable. I recommend this place, especially for a family-type dinner. read more

Customer service does not exist here! Literally no one cares. At check in the less than motivated employee stated it's an hour wait, unless you're some kind of "member". Meanwhile more than half the restaurant was empty. I asked about the bar and she replied we could seat ourselves, but we would "miss out on the experience". We walked in, sat down and waited literally 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Finally someone brought us menus, but said they'd let us get settled in before taking our order. Settled in?!? We'd already been settled 20 minutes!!! Another 15 minutes passed and we were able to order drinks and an appetizer. Another 10-15 minutes we FINALLY got our drinks (45 minutes later!!!!!!!!) and still no appetizer. We were so frustrated we wanted to just leave, so we asked for the check, said we'd given up on the appetizer. No apology. No offer to comp the appetizer. Just the check which was not itemized. Were we paying for the app we never got?!?! No one knew. Then the app just showed up. We didn't even want it at this point. The entire experience was super disappointing, the staff could literally care less. I realize this is a place you take your kids, and you know that it's over priced, the food is average at best, but good god the service could not be worse! Do not waste your time or money. Horrible. They didn't even get my kids "souvenir" cups right. read more

Morgan was so nice, efficient and professional when he was so busy... I don't know how he managed but he did! Quite a few tables (including ours) was sat in his section, all at once, and he somehow pulled it off beautifully! I ordered the fish & chips and it was outstanding!!!! Big portion and delicious. My friends ordered a salad and he enjoyed it and our other friend ordered the chicken quesadilla appetizer and enjoyed his as well! Great atmosphere and service and then you can just walk it off in the huge Sawgrass Mall!!!! read more

I used to adore this place. I just moved back to south Florida and was really excited to come back now that I have little ones. The menu is a fraction of the size it used to be and really overpriced for what you're getting. The service seems to have gotten worse during the pandemic, which is understandable, but last time we were here we waited over an hour for our food! The place was les than half empty but there was a two hour wait. I had reservations luckily but still....we were so anxious to go by the time we finally got our food it ruined the whole experience. The server was so nice but he seemed really frustrated. My kids love the animals but I made my mom promise we would never go back read more

Great restaurant for kids !!! My daughter love it. Specially if is your kid birthday. Volcano !!!! Great service from our server. I took 1 star because the food took too long. Anyway all my family enjoy this place. read more

Food was great and the atmosphere here was amazing. I was thinking about giving it a 5/5 star rating but chose to give it 4/5. This is because when we went to get seated we were told there would be a 30 minute wait to be seated. Being completely honest maybe 50% of the tables were being used and the whole time we were there many of the tables were free. So we asked to just sit at the bar instead and we were told it would be a 30 minute wait to get food. Once we were sat we had a amazing server and did not have us wait. Our server was so nice and friendly and very quick. Highly recommend you come especially if your shopping at the mall. Overall great experience!! read more

Wow what a place one of my favorites! I took my 5 year daughter here and it was amazing the lights turned down and the thunder came out and rain. Food what's great drinks even better!!!! Pricey but what isn't now and day check it out with or without kids. read more

The place has friendly staff and the atmosphere is very entertaining. The animals comes alive and they have these thunderstorms that are sure to keep your kids amused. But the food is horrible. Everything takes forever, but the food comes out with very low quality. Advice: I would come for the kids and just order drinks, maybe appetizer at most. Oh, and their iconic volcano dessert. Otherwise, stay away from the overpriced, under seasoned entrees read more

Went here with family. Great experience. And the decor of course is so unique. Kids and adults will enjoy it. We sat in a booth we wanted. Hostesses were very kind. Food exceeded my expectations and the drinks were well made. Our waiter Sebastian was very professional and made sure everything went well. And Allen the Manager made sure we had a great evening. Thank you to everyone, keep up the great work. Can't wait to go back! read more

This is a long review, I'm not bashing, it's just what has happened to this world. Great concept poor execution. Went here when I was a kid, so naturally now I bring the family. So as an adult you notice different things. The employees I'm sure are good people, but they are just going through the motions. The first table they sat us at was 5' from the front door, zero of the ambience which is the reason to go, and a highway of traffic. The next table solved only the view part 50%. The food took for ever, like 30 minutes. The same dinosaur chicken nuggets from target take like 10 minutes. I have also never seen a unpressed and luke warm panini before. That was the family's meals. I got the combo fajitas it was good just hoped for a little more meat, instead got some wilted lettuce and some kind of "salsa" with a can of uncooked black beans and water dumped into it. We were going for lava cake but seeing what came before we didn't want to wait for longer and get disappointed more. Like I said before I had found memories of this place. But for $70 bucks we were full of regrets and thoughts of how are lives would have been better going to the Burger King in the food court. read more

Only reason why I didn't rate this restaurant a 1 was because of the margarita I had. It was literally the only not ill tasting thing that was brought to my table. Mozzarella sticks were plain ol frozen mozzarella sticks. Plate came out steaming hot yet the actual sticks weren't even warm! 1 hour and a half later our food shows up and the disappointment continues. I used the steak, shrimp and ribs platter with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. So the seasonal veggies were insanely buttered Carrots. The shrimp was chewy and overcooked. The potatoes tasted like flakes in a box mashed potatoes. The steak which was ordered medium rare was charcoal. I could not finish this dish and was honestly so let down. read more

Our server Chris was excellent, so nice and was on top of everything. Although we were told kitchen was short staff all the food came out in good timing, hot, but more importantly was more delicious than ever. This has been our best experience at Rainforest, not only because of the wonderful service from Chris but also, I think this probably has to do with manager Loren, he was so profesional and friendly. He also was on top of everything, he came introduced himself and then again to make sure everything was ok. Will definitely visit more often and always ask for Chris. read more

I was lured in by the gorillas and over sized fish tanks. By the time I got over it, it was too late...I had already ordered. lunch was 32 bucks. my girlfriend ordered a subpar turkey wrap and I had a a 'signature' chicken chimichanga which wasn't bad at all...but over priced. The decor was made more as a children's attraction...and by the end of the 3rd 'lightning' storm I had a headache. you win this round rainforest cafe...but I wont be back (voluntarily) anytime soon read more

The Rainforest Cafe makes me think of a Disney style jungle. Everything is fake and animated way over the top but cool if you're into that sort of thing. There are huge fish tanks throughout the place and fake thunderstorms where the lights flicker and a little rain falls that can help keep you entertained while you wait for your food. The menu has a great selection of stuff. The quality is spotty though. I've been here a few times because I'm a sucker for over the top stuff and had great food and poor food so it's kind of pot luck. A little pricey though. read more

Soooooo this first and only time coming here. Definitely for children but the large mushroom spiked my fancy. It was a 30 min wait but it's conveniently located in the mall so that was great. But once inside your there's cute mechanical animals and fish tanks everywhere. It took a while for out for our food to come out ( about 15 mins) and it came out cold!! And the one of our entrees didn't look anything like the menu. A lot of things look like it was missing... After alerting the manager he said he would reheat or bring me warm food but once it came again my fish was rubbery and the broccoli raw! Ugh I can't.. read more

Food was ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, obviously atmosphere is kid friendly. Service was not very good, and they were not busy at all. Maybe that should've been a red flag? Anyway if your looking for a kid friendly atmosphere they do a great job, beyond that I would not recommend this place. The volcano dessert is good. read more

Dined here for dinner and was very unimpressed. I had such fond memories of this place as a kid but I feel no desire to go back. The 2 star saving grace is the excellent service and friendly staff. First issue I had, was there was some food remainders from who ever was at the table to us prior. Secondly, all of the food wasn't served hot. It was all a like warm at best. For an appetizer we had the mozzarella sticks. Other than the temp, they felt and tasted like they were heated up in a microwave. For my entire I had a chicken sandwich. again, not hot. Served with cold roasted red peppers which I assume were hot at some point, a "cheese" bread that had the consistency of a sponge, and cheese that was just thrown on, not melted. The fries were also not great because they were so cold. My friend ordered a veggie pasta dish and the sauce was very liquidy, and the noodles were all cut into pieces as if it were being served to a toddler. It was so difficult to eat, eventually she gave up. read more

Food was not exiting, drinks were not exiting. Even my daughter did not like it. Will not return.

The food is relatively average leaning towards good but the service is below average. Also prices are a little high. My husband and I made a reservation at this restaurant for one of our date nights. Definitely recommend a reservation since the wait list is always so long. We really enjoyed our visit here. It was so cool. I'm a kid at heart so every hour or so, the lights flicker and the animals move and make sounds for a few minutes. It was awesome. It was a bit pricey but worth it. A very broad menu for food and drinks which were also very good. The service was great. Took a little bit to get our order but that's okay. read more

Absolutely the worst service. The bathrooms were incredibly gross with toilet paper everywhere and urine all over every seat in the bathroom. We come in at 6:15 pm and didn't leave until 8:45 pm. We were like a forgotten table. Not only that, my sister is a vegetarian who ordered something without chicken and they loaded her salad with chicken. Also, my mom had a chicken salad sandwich with NO chicken salad on it. The manager didn't comp us anything or remove the chicken salad from the bill. Disgusting. read more

You'd think this would be the ideal watering spot after a tough day shopping but in reality, it was busy with limited staff. My bloody mary was bloody naked! :-0 It tasted fine but was missing anything to give it personality I missed the celery or anything else to help it rival my desire to find something pretty. Servers were very busy and at times there was no one visible in the bar area... I will give them a slight pass as the bar has some blind spots. I'll know better than to let a server go when as if I'm ready and ask for another moment. Live and learn... order your bloody mary, bloody quickly. read more

Great scenery for kids. Great for birthday parties and there is complimentary balloon service for kids only. Balloon art is made for each kid who eats at the table. There are animals, vines and fish in tanks throughout the restaurant. There are many animal noises/calls in the dining area. When the rainforest takes place, a mist forms in certain areas. My nephew enjoyed the atmosphere, but it was too much for me to handle. The restrooms were not clean. I kept wondering how much dust was on the faux greenery and plastic plants. The food was over cooked. And it appeared the host/hostess was not pleased to be working there. read more

Good job by the waitress, very good situational awareness and service. The place simply falls short, this was my second visit. The drinks were okay and beer was served cold. I won't return. read more

The restaurant is gorgeous and the kids will LOVE IT. My server was very friendly and attentive even though it is hectic in there. Kids meals are not really the best. My complaint: I ordered the Jungle safari soup and it was a SALT BOMB!!! It had only 1 or 2 kidney beans, no spinach and LOTS ans LOTS of salt. My eyes are swollen today from so much salt in one small bowl of soup! Please be more conscious with your food, there many many spices that can spike flavor instead of adding so much salt. read more

I was shopping around Sawgrass and decided to try this place. This restaurant belongs to the same group that owns Bubba Gump. It serves some tropical/Hawaiian food on a jungle themed restaurant. The place is big, but the gift shop is huge as well. Would recommend only if you're with kids. The service was slow, and it took a long time to prepare our food; and the place wasn't that crowded. We sat close to the gorillas and I almost had a heart attack when they started moving and making noises, lol. The food was good, though. Don't remember the name of the dish, but it had rice, shrimp, chicken and some vegetables. It was really good. My friend had a burger with fries. The portions are big, and you could normally share an entree with no problem. read more

I've been to this Rainforest cafe before but I've never experience such a horrible time like last night, the service was horrible. Our waiter barely checked up on us. This place is really nice. But customer service the worst! My brother and I sat at the bar we order food the bartender barely looked at us. He is a white bartender . I'm Hispanic he never checked on us. But he was really nice with other people that were at the bar but they were white as well. He didn't wanna talk to us or even look at us literally I'm never coming here. I have never felt not wanted in a restaurant. I really hope they change their staff. read more

Overall the restaurant was fine. Our waitress was nice enough. Our kids enjoyed the animals. The main reason we went is because we have kids with food allergies and the menu said they had chicken Dino's. I called ahead and asked the ingredients and was told that they were Tyson brand like you buy at the store. Great my kids can have those. Come to find out that was not true and they were a different brand that has dairy in the breading. So that was super annoying. I got the taco salad and my husband got the omelet both were below average/not good. I'm really bummed to have paid so much and be so disappointed. read more

Today they broke my bugaboo stroller @ Rainforest Cafe at Sawgrass Mills and after making me look like a liar and telling me that it was impossible because their employees were trained to not move strollers, which is a big fat lie since when I went to retrieve my stroller there was a guy moving strollers around, they also told me that it was not their responsability even though I was obligated to park my stroller in the stroller parking of the restaurant because you cannot go inside the restaurant with the stroller. What a joke! I was reading reviews and lots of people got either their stroller broken or stuff robbed ! BE AWARE PEOPLE. In addition, the food is truly mediocre and very expensive. Today we got 2 iced teas, 2 kids meals , one burger and one taco and paid $60 and the food was bad! This is very sad! Such a nice place they don't care about you , it is a turist trap!
