No cheese grater was necessary. Even though Vinpearl doesn't have anything modern or technically fancy. But with great employees who know what they're doing the out come really shines. With 10 manicure stations and 9 pedicure stations you can easily have a blast with your friends if you make it into a party. They do have a constant viet-pop playing which isn't terrible. The total was $92 for two pedicures with regular polish, not including tip. I'm not sure what the going rate for pedicures now a days but $45 for a regular pedicure seems a bit high. But I don't mind supporting small local businesses.

We booked a manicure and pedicure family date here as we were in the area. Staff were ready on time…read morewhen we arrived. We were seated right away. The service itself was nice and thorough and their shellac pedicure included a short hot stone massage and paraffin wax treatment. My sister originally asked for a fingernail to be fixed as the shellac polish had peeled off. She decided to get a polish change instead after staff upsold her that service. She had gotten a manicure elsewhere and picked a different colour polish during this service. Prices are not posted in the store. You have to find the prices online. Also, you need to look thoroughly at the bill. My sister was charged $5 for shellac removal, $25 for the polish change and $10 for nail fix which never happened. We only noticed that after we had left the store and finally had the chance to look over the bill. The nail tech showed the bill on the iPad in store with a quick scroll down the screen. There were so many charges that it got confusing. We basically were charged $10 extra for a service we did not receive. Prices were average for the North Burnaby area. The store itself is modern and trendy. Pedicure stations had massage chairs. Their nail polish selection was great. They do have a loyalty program if you plan to visit them regularly. Points collected will earn you a discount on a future service. Overall, 3.5 star experience because of the billing hiccup.

I had a colour change on my feet done and it looks very sub-standard. The nail polish bottle was dry and the technician had a hard time applying it. I could not see very well the final result. When I came outside I saw how un-even and choppy it looks and went back suggesting they apply another coat to even it out. The owner just said it's because your nail is not smooth and that was the end of it. No suggestion to correct or even sorry. Said next time use a different colour (not metallic). How is this helpful for this time? I won't be back.

I came here couple of weeks ago to get a mani and pedi with my boyfriend. Upon my arrival, tv wasn't on. There was no one inside when we walked in. Two people came out and it was so strange as there wasn't an uplifting feeling or they just didn't care. The owner kept grabbing things for my nail tech like towels for my hand and let's and water for my mani. Issue is she (the owner) was rushing through my boyfriend and grabbed this for my nail tech and by the time my nail tech used these on me, it was cold!! Definetly not a place to go to anymore. The girls the accommodated me and my 8 yr old, and the girl stayed after closing for me. My nails w were awesome! One wierd thing I noticed was the first girl started my nails and then in the middle abruptly got up and switched to another girl- no warning or explanation. Strange but ok. The day before yesterday I went for the second time. I went as a walk in, and the girl seemed a bit off from the beginning. Why I'm giving three stars is because I'm happy with the nails, the attitude I got was not ok. She seemed bitchy and at one point she was pointing out that she had to change my mail as the last person did it crooked, she said. I know my mail is slightly cracked and I didn't notice anything the last time- then she held up my finger to show me. When I didn't understand and asked for clarity she got all pissy and said something in her language which in sure was very derogate, right there in front of me! I felt so uncomfortable and upset about it. A bit shocked, even. I let it go but it's still bothering me so I hope this communicates . I paid a lot and tipped too. I'll be going back though , hoping for the best and I'm happy with my nails.

Also I need about that long to pick a colour which I did while I waited. I went in for a new set of acrylic nails. I haven't had my nails done in about a year and it was time. Nancy is amazing. She did my nails and spent so much time on shaping them and making them perfect. They are the most beautiful almond shape. Easily the best shaped nails I've had, and under 100 dollars for a new set with tip and special chrome powder on each. Unfortunately my phone can't capture the colour (a sort of greige with chrome purple on top) but my nails are stunning and I couldn't be happier I will be back !

Unfortunately, my experience with Angela Le (pedicure) was disappointing…read more The biggest issue was the foot bath temperature. When I politely asked for the water to be changed because it had become too cool, she seemed reluctant to do so and made very little effort to communicate with me in English, which made me feel discomfortable. In addition, the foot and leg massage that I expected as part of the service I booked was NONE. Throughout the appointment, I was repeatedly encouraged to purchase additional services for an extra charge. While I understand that businesses may offer upgrades, I felt the focus was more on selling additional services than on providing the relaxing and attentive experience I had booked. I also had concerns about the hygiene standards. After the previous customer finished, I noticed that only the plastic liner in the foot bath was replaced, and I did not observe the foot bath tub being sanitized before the next customer's service. I also observed staff wearing the same gloves from one customer to another without changing them. In addition, some staff members wore masks while others did not. I was also disappointed with the reception and payment experience. The staff member responsible for greeting customers and processing payment came across as dead fishes and the payment process felt more like money collector. No consistent uniform or professional appearance, which gave the business a lazy and disorganized impression. Throughout my visit, there was very limited English communication, and most conversations among the staff were conducted in Vietnamese. Overall, i would suggest to pass this business based on my experience.

The reception and payment experience also felt unprofessional and impersonal. The staff did not wear a consistent uniform.
