My first time here, no appointment was needed. The staff was friendly and very quick. As someone who maybe gets a pedicure once a year I was quite happy to have my toes done. No cheese grater was necessary. Even though Vinpearl doesn't have anything modern or technically fancy. But with great employees who know what they're doing the out come really shines. With 10 manicure stations and 9 pedicure stations you can easily have a blast with your friends if you make it into a party. They do have a constant viet-pop playing which isn't terrible. The total was $92 for two pedicures with regular polish, not including tip. I'm not sure what the going rate for pedicures now a days but $45 for a regular pedicure seems a bit high. But I don't mind supporting small local businesses. read more

Vinpearl Nails & Spa - Menu with vague prices - Nail Salons Near Me - Burnaby, British Columbia

Horrible! Filthy location, rude staff and the nail technician cut me! She continued to apply nail colour even though my cuticle was bleeding so badly that it crust on the side of my nail. when I posted my review on Google with pictures the owners lied and said they improved it but they didn't. I went back to check it out and took more pictures and it continues to be filthy and they didn't apologize. instead they were even ruder! They only apologized in their response to my review. Don't go to this place if you want something clean and decent and to be treated with respect. read more

So glad I decided to come! I used to come when it was viet nails but the owners weren't nice and were super rough. The new staff at vinpearl were a pleasure!! they listened to what i wanted and was gentle, my nails don't feel sore after the appointment at all. Application and shaping were also on point and my tech asked me to check after she shaped them. They also have really good prices and their salon is super clean. read more

Vinpearl Nails & Spa - Acrylic fill i think it's $30 but add $15 for gel colour so $45 - Nail Salons Near Me - Burnaby, British Columbia

So impressed! The staff is top notch and we're so happy with our pedicures and manicures. It was our first time at this salon and it's now the only one we'll use. Highly recommended!! read more

I have given this nail shop a lot of chances as they are so close to me but they really blew it this time. I asked to have my gels removed, a manicure and a pedicure. He used the dremel and shaved down all the gel nails except one which he removed. The shellac polish came off in one piece within hours. When I attempted to make a quick appointment to have my ONE NAIL fixed he was incredibly rude and said no - they are way too busy. I tried to explain how quick an appointment it would be and he ignored me and just kept repeating NO. I work the same hours as them so now I'll have to go elsewhere and hope they can match the same polish. After spending $75 at a shop I would hope they honour their work. BRUTAL. This same guy has also done the grossest thing I've seen in a nail salon. I was having shellac removed and instead of using his tool to take off the softened polish he used his fingernail for all 10 fingers. Avoid. read more

I've tried others but always end up coming back to Vinpearl nails! On Monday I had a Pedi with my friend - Vian does mine and Nancy does for my friend, love the girls they always try to make their customers happy. My pedi was absolutely good, I wear shoe and do lots of exercises so my big toe nail was hurt badly bc of ingrown. But she took it off really gently and professional without hurting. Having really good experience here! Nice and clean. Definitely come back! Highly recommended read more

I have been nicked, overly "rasped", and on the advice of a technician that no longer works there ( fired? quit?) had my toenail cut back almost to the quick so it that could regrow straighter. Hah. Two years and countless visits to a podiatrist later, it's grown back, but so ugly I won't wear open-toed shoes or sandals. I regretted being so gullible and so didn't review the place. On reading Rose's review I felt compelled to let others know that my gift certificate for a mani-pedi was outright rejected. I pointed out that nowhere on the card are the words "expires" or "expiration date". At the very least the owner should have credited me the cost of the certificate in December of '21 and I would have paid the difference vis a vis February '23. Never going back. read more

I've been going to this place for some time and I've never had any issues. When my feet look like they could sand the floor that they're walking on, this is my go to place for a pedi. The staff overall is pretty good, and the last couple of times I had an older woman who is very meticulous albeit a bit short in temper (but hey - she has to look at some gross feet all day - who wouldn't be testy at the end of the day!) Booking an appointment is better than taking the gamble of walking in to find a space - this place is always very busy. read more

I find this salon hit or miss depending on your nailist and if you are a frequent customer. If the staff recognizes you, you are sure to get better service. Which I get one some level, but not a great way to build new clientele. My girl friend and I came last night for a shellac mani and a regular. She had the shellac from a nailist I had had before, and knew was good. Her's turned out great and she was happy. Mine however, SLOPPY! When I said I wanted regular mani instead of shellac my nailist instantly didn't care about my service. I suppose because it is cheaper?? There was attention to detail, cut my cuticles haphazardly, left excess polish in my cuticle line. But the worst part; when she removed my previous shellac, she left little bits on my nail!!! You can see the old shellac color under my new color. When I realized she was going to do that, I internally said "f-it" and didn't even bother bringing it up. I cannot recommend going here. read more

We had pedicures here today and our technicians were wonderful. They were careful and mostly sanitary and the polish job is excellent. However...some of the staff moving around the shop were less careful about the mask rules, to the extent that we won't go back, at least not during COVID. The biggest issue was one woman, who had no mask whatsoever as she moved around the room. Another customer asked her to put on a mask, and she replied that she didn't want to wear a mask because she'd just applied lipstick. Another staff member wore her mask under her nose. I know everyone has their opinions about the restrictions, but ther e are public health orders that require them, and I didn't feel safe with this woman being barefaced around us all read more

Hello! I was not upset nor frustrated with regards that the expired GC was not accepted. It was the way you handled the situation. I had asked you if you were the manager. Your reply was "no" so then I had kindly asked you SEVERAL times that I wanted to speak to the manager. You refused to do so and at that point, I had told you that I would be taking my family to another salon. Your reply to that, in a rude/snotty tone of voice was "do what you have to do". I was shocked and disgusted in your response! Not once, did I threaten you so please don't try and put words in my mouth! I never raised my voice once. This all unfolded at the front desk calmly and with a normal tone of voice. i had mentioned gel polish in my first review but I should have used the words "hard gel". Yes, I know you carry tons of gel polish but last June, my daughter came in to the salon to have one nail repaired. She made it very clear that her existing set was hard gel fill and that she did not want acrylic for the repaired nail. She lied to her and continued to fill the nail with acrylic. Her nail technician was out of the country at the time therefore she just kept the acrylic on. This same technician then proceeded to tell her that the salon does not offer hard gel. Therefore, this is why I had mentioned it in my first review. If this service has been added since then, I am not aware. We, along with other friends/family members have taken the services to White Angel Salon where the owner/manager/employees are super kind with great customer service and clean tools. It is unfortunate that after many years of coming to this salon, YOU gave me no other option but to change salons. Have a great day! read more

Don't expect a fancy spa but you can expect a decent pedi mani for $45. They have added chairs at both pedicure and manicure stations. The pedi chairs all have the sweet massage option (which I love!). Quite often you'll have two or three nail techs working on you at a time. Plenty of colour options OPI & China Glaze plus others. They also offer some waxing services - $8 for eyebrows. Walk-ins are welcome but likely best you make appointment if you don't want to wait as some days the place is hopping. Good location for parking as there is ample free municipal parking and a transit stop right out front. read more

I will only go back if I can get an appt with Helen. Ask for Helen. She's sweet, kind and does a great job. I only go in for pedi's so that's all I can comment on. Their service is poor. They speak Vietnamese over you and one of the owners "Cindy" is moody at best. Brought my daughter (6yrs old for a mini mani) the last time and she wanted to separate us and upset us both. I won't bring her in again. That said, Helen really is great. read more

I was surprised to see the negative reviews. It's not a fancy place by all means but the staff are quick, hard-working, and accommodating. My nails always look perfect when I leave. Free parking and they're very affordable! read more

I went to vietnail salon becase I wanted to pamper myself a little. The young man who greeted me was absolutely horrible as he did not smile, he was rude and should not be in this profession if he's going to act like this towards customers. I left feeling terrible.... what a shame. read more

No frills, no nonsense but decent pedicures for the price. The ladies are thorough and attentive. They are very kind. I go about once a month and I have seen them joke around with regulars and be so kind to little girls gettig their first pedis. Yes, they speak Vietnamese to each other but it is called Vietnails, so what do you expect. They have no problem communicating in English. I wish their colour selection was a little better. It is kind of limited but maybe I am picky. If you go through the rack you will see multiples of the same colour. I will keep going back though because they do a good job with good service. read more

I love this place. I've been going here for about 4 years. They do such a great job. I am never disappointed. I've tried a few other nail salons closer to home and I've always regretted it. I even drove here when I lived in maple ridge for a few months. They shape my nails and buff my feet well and the polish always looks perfect. I don't know what the bad reviews are about. Cindy and her brother are always nice to me and ask how I am doing. Very friendly and service is great. read more

This used to be my go-to place to get my nails done but I found that almost every second visit, my nails would chip with shellac after 3 days. I went back a few times to get them fixed and the main girl there acted like it was my fault and told me my nails were too weak. I decided to try someplace new down the street and they have never chipped once and I've been going there now every two weeks for over a year. This new salon may be a little pricier but they spend twice the time doing my nails, no wonder they dont chip! So I decided to try Vietnails again because my new salon didn't have any appointments available and I went for a pedicure which has less of a chance of chipping. When I walked through the door I was given a sour attitude by the main girl and the guy that works there. No friendly greeting, more of a " what do you want type attitude". After that I was completely ignored. Even when we made eye contact, they would look away. I used to be a very regular customer and so they definitely know who I am and they don't even know why I haven't been back the past year! The girl who did my nails was friendly, but the behavior that was displayed towards me from the other 2 made me feel like a worthless customer.Turned me right off and I will NEVER go back!! read more

The man and woman who I dealt with had no personality whatsoever. No smiling, sparse conversation. The guy kept dremmeling my fingers while doing my nails. Like literally from one side of my finger, across my nail to the other side of my finger. I kept pulling away and telling him it hurt but he continued and said nothing. They couldn't get my nail shape right and some are different lengths. I chose a "Hot pink" as my colour but it's a reddish orange :( read more

I have been going there for 7 years and will not go there ever again. The customer service is the worst I have ever seen. I booked 2 different appointment's for myself and my mom and I needed to change it and the owner got really upset and rude. Surcomastance changed for me and I needed to change the date. I asked if she can give me the times she has available on the other days and she would not tell me and said I had to call to get the information. That's crazy. Why would I call when I am actually right In the saloon. I don't suggest anyone go there for anything. The owner brother answers the phone and you cant understand him at all. I have heard there are better places with same price or even better. I don't suggest this place for anyone at all. read more

Trash. Absolute trash. Worst acrylic nails I've ever gotten. Like actual trash never will I ever go there again

Went here for the first time as it was close to work and I will never return. I got a pedicure and acrylic nail removal. Pedicure was fine but this main lady who seemed to be in charge came to remove my nails as I'm sitting in the pedicure chair. She cut the acrylic nail down as far as possible before my real nail, which is fine and then gets the drill and drills off all the colour and then gets a fake nail and tries to wedge it in between the acrylic and my real nail. I stop her and ask are you not supposed to soak them in acetone for easier removal and less damage to my real nail. She now gets mad starts yelling in Vietnamese and goes and sits at another table then after a few minutes later comes back and says soaking will take an hour, you only soak shellac not acrylic. I said I would like them soaked please. She then gives attitude and says come to table after pedicure. Then a male staff approaches and uses his own nasty long finger nail to attempt to flick off the acrylic I again said could you please just soak them for removal - again I am told it will take an hour, I say that's okay I have time. I am now finished my pedicure and sit at the manicure table and he drills off the colour of the hand and soaks my nails in acetone in a bowl and every few mins uses the drill then soak and repeat after 10 mins the nails were removed with no pain but still a little damage as the imbecile used the drill on my real nails also. I will never go back to this salon. Poor customer service, bad service, unprofessional. read more

Horrible customer service. The young man and woman at the front desk were so rude to me. They barely hissed "what time?" when my friend and I entered. While I looked for a colour (which they didn't have) on a display rack which should turn but doesn't - so when I tried to turn it they got annoyed with me. I apologized, and tried to laugh it off but they were on me like white on rice after that. From the rack to my chair (which was 3 feet) I was told repeatedly by both of them not to drop the nail polish bottles in my hands, where to put them when I arrived at my chair, where not to put them - be careful, be careful, be careful - it was like I was a bull in a china closet. Then I was left in my chair completely unattended. I had to ask the lady working on my friend beside me to please turn my jets on and put my armrests down. When my friend opened the tray on my armrest and put the massage remote on it for me all of a sudden I was approached again by one of the owners and told not to put any nail polish bottles on the tray for various reasons. WTF! These people care more about their nail polish bottles than any customer - I can tell you that! I used to like this place a lot, but that was a year ago. Things have obviously changed for the worse at Vietnails and I will not be back. The only satisfaction I got from my visit was giving them no tip. read more
