The salon was able to accommodate us as walks ins. They were extremely friendly and did a thorough job on our nails. They offered coffee and the salon was clean and clutter free. I had an enjoyable time and will return. read more

My girlfriend & I didn't have a reservation, but were welcomed in and had a wonderful experience. The staff were meticulous about the manicures & pedicures they gave us. Couldn't ask for more. 5 plus stars! read more

There were a few things I want to address but the overall experience and the end result was good. Cons: I made a reservation over the phone and they text you reminders. The day of my appointment, I got a text telling me my appointment had been changed. I called to confirm and they were not helpful so I assume it's a glitch. Their water temp was off. It was either too hot or cold! No in betweens. That being said, my nail tech was incredibly sweet and very thorough. The attention to details and the care she added to my treatment was very appreciated. The salon is small and they were not overly busy but they didn't make us feel rushed. Prices were good and cleanliness seemed good. I would definitely go back! read more

I started out as a walk-in Client in 2012 and been a regular monthly client of Magic Touch nails ever since. They are always helpful and always ready to work with my schedule. Also, I have issues with ingrown toenails and this salon has been the only one to relieve the pain and the quality of their work allows for longer periods between appointments, which is refreshing from previous experiences elsewhere. read more

They cut my nails insanely short because they assumed I wanted fake nails but I didn't. They couldn't believe I didnt want them and was very confused when I kept saying no, she then couldn't shape my nails because of how short. Then for my pedicure. someone started then went to a new customer then someone else came back 45 minutes later and I then had to wait extra long. they tried to talk me out of regular nail polish but I prefer it for my toes. typically regular nail polish dries in 30 minutes and lasts for a month. the regular nail polish took 2+ hours to dry. I ruined them getting into bed at 9 people when I left the salon at 7. not sure what quality they are using but it's clearly subpar. would not recommend. read more

Had the most painful ingrown toenail and was saved by this salon after being unsuccessful in another salon Highly highly recommend this place. Thank you Tee for saving me today read more

Ive been a long time off and on again customer (see the photos for proof) who notes this locations' quality is directly related to how busy they are (they rushed my acrylic fill and shelac finish making acrylic too thin and still charging $48!) All my nails broke less than a week later. Very displeased. They dont seem to ever have more than one or two gals and usually have one guy..... Dont put up with subpar service or work - go elsewhere for the quality you deserve. Almost every time Jenny did my nails. She always wears multiple used masks and never appears to put on new gloves. Ick Went to a place my boss goes and it was fantastic. read more

Got SNS extension done here last week by Eric. He did a stunning job! Would go back for sure

Took a chance as had time to waste before meeting friends downtown - had a wedding that weekend so spoiled myself with getting my nails done. Plus they had space right then and there to get me in. Seemed pretty booked so guessing they are popular. Fast, efficient, and did a good job clearing away around my cuticles without getting too far down. If was back in Vancouver would come her again to get my nails done. read more

I was just walking around the area when I notice the shop and remembered I needed a manicure as my nails have grown way too long and looks ugly. I was happy as they welcomed walk in and I was able to get my nails done on the spot. The lady who did my nail was very nice and attentive. She help me choose the nail color for natural looking nails that would look well with my skin. I was satisfied with the service. Though the price is way too much for a student but I'm satisfied for the service and the interior of the place was nice. I hope you guys can give students a discount though read more

Magic Touch - Nail Salons Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

First off...I usually love the service and team. When you are paying for a manicure you have expectations: pushed cuticles back, all dead skin around nails is removed. Massage that feels good. Nail polish not left behind all over fingers. All of these points were not covered. I left sadly disappointed. And regret leaving a tip- not deserved. My nails are lumpy and I felt like I was an inconvenience the entire time. Awful experience. My advice: pay extra and go somewhere better. read more

Sent my wife, mother and daughter there on Saturday morning. They loved their pedicures and manicures. Daughter's toenails are a work of art, which she has sent to all her friends! All three sets of fingernails are beautiful. Amazing that anything can last several days under the stresses of an active 10 year-old's climbing around Vancouver. (Not surprised that they still look great on the moms, though). Staff (including the owner, Eric) treated them so wonderfully! Very patient to listen for what they wanted to choose, very careful to ensure they loved the colors, very kind to make them feel special. Thanks for giving them a wonderful spa event, MT!! read more

NEVER go here to get gel nails. When I arrived the lady who was to start doing my nails was finishing a pedicure on her colleague. Afterwards she came straight over to me to do my manicure WITHOUT washing her hands. I had to ask her. She headed off reluctantly Then she applied the french tip as if she was an amateur and had to go over it with a brush to remove the extra bits. To make it worse the white tip was not on thick enough so I could see lines. When I said this to her she just shrugged it off. THEN I realised that she was no applying Gelish but Shellac. I specifically booked Gelish as shellac had destroyed my nails previously. When I told her, there was no apology, in fact she ignored me and proceeded to set up a pedicure for a walk-in client. I was on my lunch break (which at this stage was over) with half done nails. Eventually the manager arrived in, no apologies again and proceeded to try and convince me that there was no difference between Shellac and Gelish. The point was I had specifically booked a manicure using Gelish, therefore no matter what they were in the wrong. I had to leave the salon with my fingers wrapped in tin-foil. Instead of having my nails done I just got attitude a double dose of acetone. read more

Also known as Magic Touch Hair & Salon - was a little confused as the signage isn't quite visible but got there fine anyways. I did a half leg waxing there for $18 after their 10% off - woohoo! It was already a cheap place to get leg waxing done considering its location on Downtown Vancouver but it was close to my work so it was convenient. The lady who did it was gentle, always cleaning off wax with oil and soothing my legs with aloe vera gel before moving on to other parts. I notice this because other beauty salons sometimes do it only at the end of whole session. Overall, very good service for the price you're paying. I will come back again! read more

Convenient and efficient. I'll be back! I was in the area and had a bit of free time so I decided to treat my neglected feet to a much needed pedicure. The staff are very friendly and as a walk-in, they were happy to squeeze me in. They have a wide assortment of colours to choose from and the tech working with me did a good job. Although they happily take walk-ins, I recommend calling ahead and making an appointment because they fill up fast. It was my first time and it won't be my last-- I'll definitely be back! read more

This place is awesome! Its comfortable, clean, their work is amazing, there's tons of selection, services are a great price, and the workers are personable. I couldn't ask for a better nail salon! read more

It was not the best technical service I've experienced, but they are friendly. I had to ask her 3 times to file my nails evenly and pointy. I eventually just took the nail file myself and evened it out. I was with my baby boy, who thankfully was so well behaved and just flirted with the ladies! He seems to be very good at this! They were accommodating towards me with him in the stroller, which I appreciated. I will probably will not return because I am very particular about how they finish the job and its not as good as other places I have gone. They definitely need to improve on their nail tech abilities, just not as polished and maticulous as I am used to. read more

Worst salon I have ever been to in my life!! They had made a mistake on my nails and when I went back for them to correct it the nail tech tried to make me come back later while I was on my lunch break. When they told me it was fine for me to come at the time I did. Then the nail tech who did my nails and made the mistakes came to fix my nails he was extremely rude about it he started slamming product around and at the end of it told me when you're done curing you can go. The nail is still messed up. I work in customer service and this is the worst customer experience I have ever had in my life. I paid $83 for crappy nails and horrible customer service never going back! read more

I saw the reviews, but I went anyway since I was in a pinch and needed my nails done quick. I got a dip manicure. The selection was slim for dip colors. The technician accidentally hit my cuticle with the drill thing and it bled for several minutes and was sore for the next few days. The color was nice enough, but the shaping was rough across the top. The side of my nails started to chip less than a week in, which I've never had happen after over a year of getting dip. The manicure didn't last the usual 3-4 weeks and I needed a new manicure about a week and half earlier than usual. read more

Friendly and very detail oriented. They did a great job and a week later my gels looks perfect. They got me in and out quickly, too!

I walked in and the host (male) took me in right away, he actually did my shellac manicure and another lady did my shellac pedicure right away The place looked clean but it seemed as if they were reusing some tools, everyone was wearing masks and gloves. The unfortunate thing is I even told them I'm going on vacation to Europe. 5 days later, 2 nails were chipped and the pale pink colour has turned yellowish. And my toe nail colour had gone yellowish too I had to go get my nails done again and the nail place was shocked - they thought I just got a manicure but my cuticles weren't even pushed back! There was ripples on the polish. And of course the quick chipping was not ok. Called them from my vacation - he told me to come in right away so he can see what they used and call that company WTF. I just want to be reimbursed. He could not understand that I was on vacation for two weeks - I am going in when I'm back in Vancouver. I'm hoping for a reimbursement because I sure as hell don't want them doing my nails again. ----------------- This manicure was probably the most important of my life as I got engaged, so thankfully I got my nails re-done. I went back in after arriving back from vacation and the host was livid that I reviewed them negatively and said he won't do anything for me. He was rude, talked over me, and provided no positive service. Makes sense why this place was completely empty. Will not be spending any money in the future here and will advise others to not unless they're fine with terrible customer service & experience. read more

I just moved to Vancouver and have been looking for a nail spot. Walked in and got a great gel manicure and spa pedicure and for a good price! Excellent foot massage with the pedicure too, best foot/calf massage I've had at a salon and I'm picky! The best part was how friendly all the staff was! They even offered me hot tea because I was exhausted after my long day of work. Totally pampered. This is my new regular spot! read more

This was such a horrible experience I had at this place. Customer service was so bad they were so rude and aggressive with me. Turned the heat up so hot on the dryer it burned me and made me feel faint. Absolutely awful. I never complain or write reviews but I had to for this one. And dirty read more

Went last Thursday for a manicure, chose this place because it was close to work and cheap. You get what you pay for I guess. During the manicure the guy doing it cut so deeply into my cuticle that it started bleeding, and now 5 days later is still an unsightly scab. He apologized, but he did the very same thing with the next nail! The manicure now (5 days later) is chipping and rough. Not going back. read more

I don't usually get my nails done often, but decided randomly to walk in here. The service is great, the host was really quick getting to me and helping me look over services and colors. I was seen in about 5 minutes with no appointment made, so that was awesome! I chose the gel and it came out awesome!! Everyone had a great vibe and I'm glad I decided to come in I'm very pleased. Thank you! read more

I thought this place was excellent and is super underrated on Yelp. I'm from San Francisco and desperately needed a mani/pedi. The place next door was booked (and rude about it) so I came here. I had two guys working on my nails, and they were the nicest men ever! I was able to sit in the massage chair the entire time and talk to the about all things Vancouver. After they finished my nails, they let me just chill in the massage chair for an extra half an hour to watch the Olympics. These guys are gold! read more

Went here after referred by another business and couldn't be more disappointed. I got a full set and a pedi. At first it seemed pretty good but they had to redo my toes then they had to redo one of my extensions three times because they don't know how to put a nail on straight. They also can not cross reference nails on both hand to make sure they are the same and when I mentioned them needing to all be the same the girl put my hands up and asked if they were all the same instead of just checking the proper way. This whole experience took a little over three hours and I didn't want to wait another min while they re did half of my full set so I paid (130) for both and left. 2 days later a nail broke 3rd day another one and my toes were sore because they trimmed the side of my big toe too deep and now it's throbbing. Would not recommend. read more

staff were friendly enough, employee used the same wooden spatula for the waxing each time though. Water stains on the celing and wax on the walls and picture frames. Landing strip was off center and i was left very very sore and itchy for several days after the waxing. Update several weeks later: All the red spots resulting from the wax are STILL there, the whole area looks pretty bad. Pink Lime has a 35.00 groupon in the Groupon NOW section. Use that instead if you are looking to save some $. read more

Needed to get my nails done before attending a wedding. Staff were all super attentive and friendly!

Magic touch nails is an amazing salon. The staff are super friendly and caring and my nails always look extra beautiful when I go there. They always go the extra mile and make sure you leave with the most beautiful nails. Also they have the best massage chairs and the facility is spotless. Had a great shellac manicure by a lovely young guy. He was a perfectionist, 2.5 weeks later they have not chipped or lifted at all! I will visit again. read more

I received a really poor quality manicure here. The tech filed and shaped all my nails so they were slanted, I think maybe one nail on either hand turned out symmetrical and evenly shaped. The emery board he used was so coarse, and he sawed at my nails back and forth instead of using the proper technique, which caused my nails to split and peel - my nails are very strong and have never split or peeled in all my life, but he wrecked them. He also clipped my cuticles way too close and I started bleeding. He didn't even notice, or pretended not to, and there was no apology. I had an ugly scab on my finger for weeks. The polish itself was also poorly applied. The top coat shrank so that you could see a large margin of bare polish between the top coat and my nail edge, it looked awful and sloppy. I'm not going to pay for a service that I could do a better job of myself, so I won't be back. read more

I went in for a pedicure on Thursday, and they cut my heels way too short. I couldn't walk for the whole day, but I thought it would go away once I moisturized it. I went away for the weekend and could hardly walk all weekend, and it bled for most of the weekend as well. Since it's on my foot it's so easy for a cut to get infected! I went back to the salon today (Monday) and explained the situation, and requested that I be reimbursed for my pedicure. They refused, telling me if I sat down and had the polish removed off of my toes, that they would give me my money back. I said no as I had no time, I was on my lunch break, and I insisted they reimburse me. Soon all 4 employees were shouting at me telling me to leave the salon. I left, not wanting to cause a huge scene. I went to a neighboring salon (Dona Lucia) and showed them the visible damage to my heel, and 6 of their employees were horrified at the damage and told me any other salon would reimburse the money and apologize immediately. Seriously the most awful experience. Health board has been notified and will be getting in touch with them! read more

Very unhygienic... They reuse the Emery boards and the filing equipment on all customers. They also do not wear gloves or have any other hygienic precautions. Felt so u comfortable while the guy was doing my nails. On top of that the nails were totally uneven and not filed properly. If you're going to spend 70 for nails... Look for other places... Cause this one isn't the one for you. read more

Wow this place is great. Went here for a brazilian wax - only $23! The lady was really nice and did a great job (fast and painless). Definitely going back here because this is the cheapest place for waxing found in Vancouver. It's located on West Georgia (went on my lunch hour). It's now called "Magic Touch Nail and Hair". read more

I'm a regular here. They're always very nice. It's good value. And they recently got new pedicure chairs. yeah!

Went there a few weeks back for a normal manicure with colour polish, was ok but for some imperfections I saw that the technician brushed off as supposedly normal at drying stage. No top coat was applied, chipped after 3 days. Went back to get my shellac removed/redone (had it done somewhere else, but Magic hair is conveniently located on my way back to work, so thought I'd stop there) it should have been suspicious that Dona Lucia next door was packed while they were available. Technician removed shellac, then filed my nails in a very odd shape... At this point I said I did not want gel on them (given the bad shape) and she applied half heartedly a coat of clear polish and kicked me out before it was properly dried. Not going back. read more
