Been here a couple times. They do take reservations or you can just walk in if they have an available person to help you. They have a pretty clean and organized shop. The workers are fast and friendly. I've only gotten a pedicure done, but I've always left with soft feet and great looking nails. They open relatively early and have quite a large parking lot so finding parking isn't too difficult. As price it seems quite reasonable for Vancouver nowadays. I started getting my nails done by Mandy here, and have always been very happy with them. She does a great job and even nice art too! I started getting pedis and during my second one I made some nasty observations. The tools being used on me were immediately put back into the basket and reused on the girl beside me 3 mins later! Not even a rinse. Think- the skin shaving tool used to peel my dead skin off, then the girl beside me's skin being shaved off. Same tool. Bacteria trading. Infection inducing. My toe separator was used already. Not good practice at all. Too too bad because they actually do an excellent job by way of art and technique. I'll keep seeing Mandy, but my feet aren't going anywhere near the pedi station again! Word of advice if they ever read this- invest in clean tools that you can save for each client. I was in the area and was looking for a nail salon when I came across Colour Nails. I read the reviews and ratings and decided to go for it -- I'm SO glad I did! It's a small salon and they seem to be always busy so I suggest calling ahead of time to see when is good to go in. The girls are super sweet and attentive & do an amazing job! Plus the prices are super fair. I got a mani-pedi which I was very content with. I left a review previously about the painful and horrible job, and the verbal abuse I received because I pointed out the errors and the bleeding cuticles. So I went to get it repaired by my usual place and thanks to over unskilled overzealous sanding and filing I'm now going to have to pay to have all of my acrylics replaced so a trip here has now cost me $60 all for a colour change. First time here, And I got in right away. Their hours are great and help folks who work during the day so you can come after work. Mandy did my nail fill in a half hour which is extremely fast. No corners were cut though, shape is perfect and polish is down to all corners - no gaps. They have a huge selection of colours as well. She is super friendly and really nice. I am writing this review 3.5 weeks after getting an acrylic fill at this salon while on vacation in Vancouver, I just rad them refilled at a salon in Seattle. That's how long this fill lasted. I am reminiscing especially because this new salon charged me more than Colour Nails to do a worse job with regular polish instead of gel. But that's neither here nor there. Y'all I am so bummed I live in Seattle because if I was in Vancouver, I would come here for every fill. I wasn't even planning on getting my nails done on vacation, but one of my nails had begun to fall of after swimming and it became somewhat of an emergency. I picked the closest spot to where we were staying, which happened to be here. I will say the one thing that I didn't love about this salon is that they gave me some color swatches to look at, and only after I had chosen did they mention to me that the colors I chose were gel. I didn't plan on getting the gel, that being said, I'm glad I ended up with it. I'm not going to lie to y'all, getting the nail that had almost fallen off HURT. But, the woman who fixed it managed to salvage the original nail and the acrylic on top, which is pretty impressive. She also did a phenomenal job of making the nail smooth and not too raised, who h was a problem with the previous full set. She also managed to get them to a comfortable length while retaining a beautifully even ballerina shape, which I've found is a certain gift. The gel color went down beautifully, and she got full coverage out of the sheer sparkle color I had chosen for the ring finger. I think the final cost ended up being $45 in Canadian dollars, so when it transfered to USD, it only ended up being $30-something which is on the higher end for a fill for me, but still totally reasonable, especially for gel. And it lasted so long! I only got them filled yesterday and even that was only because they had gotten too long! Very high recommendation for this place. I had the worst experience at colour nails and waxing. They were so unorganized, that I waited an additional 30 minutes, with a reservation, to get my gel nails removed. Intially, I wanted to get a manicure as well, but because I had plans - and already waited for my appointment, and I didn't have time to get that done. They are incredibly unorganized I would instead recommend going to Jenny on the Drive. Employees from Jenny on the drive were punctual, detail oriented, and they did an excellent job. I was a bit desperate today, because it was my first day off in a while and I wanted to get my gel set removed asap. Big mistake. Don't go to colour nails. They cut your nails without sanitizing the equipment. They sent me away with a clear coat, but didn't let it dry, and sent me on my way- my nails were filed, but they were uneven - see pictures attached. Plan ahead and don't choose this place. Save yourself the time and save your nails. I'm so unhappy with the service and the wasted time. read more

Terrible experience. One of those places where you walk in the door and sense you made a mistake booking here. I got my acrylic nails removed here and they still managed to give me an unforgettable, terrible experience. From the start, the employee tried taking my acrylics off by wedging something underneath it and prying until it pops off... I said no please remove them properly. She did, but after paying and leaving I noticed 6 of my nails still had a layer of acrylic on them. I called, asked for a refund because now I have to ask my next manicurist to remove the acrylic and pay for that service again. She argued with me saying she left it on to keep my nails stronger and said if I wanted anything done I had to come back in and then hung up on me. I turned around, went back to the salon even though I had told her I was too busy to return so she could finish the job, and then was denied a refund when I got there. I've been here a few times, give a place a chance ya know First time great Second time, felt a little rushed but I just walked in and a pile of people came in after me Third time, I'm done. For the first half it was just me there for a manicure and in that time stopped to answer her personal time over 4 times. This is my favorite place in Vancouver to get my nails done. I always get a full set of acrylics from Kayla and I absolutely love her. She's not the most talkative and she sometimes speaks to her coworkers in Vietnamese, but she shapes and does my nails perfectly. The nail salon is always really quiet, which I love because I usually end up in the salon for about 1.5-2 hours and she can take her time doing my nails. I had heard a lot of good things about this salon so I thought I would give it a try. Before my manicure, I asked the lady how much just painting my nails without acrylics are. She said $10 for just polish and I think $15 for gel (i don't remember the exact number). I got regular polish. The manicure was pretty good even though I started bleeding. when I got to the time to pay she said it was $21. I told her I thought it was $10, she giggled and said no $21. I paid and on my way out I noticed there was no prices listed anywhere so I couldn't say like "hey it says it cost this much". Which I thought was odd because I had gotten ads from them before with prices. Then I realized there was probably new management (meaning all the good reviews I had heard were from the old mangement). Pretty sure this woman just makes up prices as she went. I'm very annoyed this woman lied straight to my face. I asked my friend who was with me the whole time and she said that the woman did say it was $10. The work was decent but just know that they will charge you whatever they feel. Maybe they wanted to get a nice lunch so they just charged me double. read more
