Me and my Partner come here every three weeks. We have gone places all over the city before this, and now I drive 35 minutes to get here and do it happily. Jenny take great care of my partner and is a real artist. Tiffany and Peony treat me so well any are masters in their own right. Their jell nails last me 3 weeks of working construction, through concret, meta, grease, and oil and still work great. And the pedicure is the reason that my toes weren't messed up after a marathon, where as the other 4 friends that ran it with me were. Book at least an hour ahead of time because there can be a wait, but only because they won't stop until there customer is happy, so they go the extra mile. I used to come here very often. This was my first time back since covid. During my mani/pedi appt the receptionist agreed to take a walk in and told her it would be ten min wait. I looked around wondering who was going to do her nails.. because everyone had just begun and I was not even into my manicure yet. My nail tech had me move from a pedicure seat to manicure seat to do my nails. But instead of finishing my appointment, began the walk-in's pedicure instead. After waiting I finally stood up to pay. Takes waaaay too long of a service, I went in for a basic pedicure, did not walk out for 2+ hours. They did not use any nail dryers on my nails and expected me to wait while my nails air-dryed with 4 layers of nail polish. I walked out with saran wrap on my feel at the second hour of service and the nail polish is now ruined. Will not be attending again. This cost me $40. read more

I live closeby so I though I would try it. My first visit was weird...the 2 girls working were taking about REALLY inappropriate things. I got acrylics done and they looked like chiclets. I went home and filled them down. My second visit I had a fill and a pedi. My fill was very good (I requested a different technician)...Philip the owner did it. He is good but expensive compared to other Viet salons. My pedi was awful (Amy did it) I asked for nail art and it looked like a little kid did it. I didn't say anything because I felt bad that she spent so much time doing it. I went home and re-painted them myself. I will never go back there again. Other good cheap Viet salons closeby are Modern Nails (Burrard and 1st ave.) and Sparkle Nails (Broadway and Oak). Both do a very good job and are very detailed. read more

We had a great first experience here at Sassy Nails! We are visiting Vancouver and staying nearby. Since the weather wasn't fantastic, we decided to get our nails done and walked by a few places on 4th before settling on Sassy Nails. They were able to take us in right away and the ladies did a fantastic job! I highly recommend Carmen - she was fabulous as well as funny! She did a great job on my nails, gave me some advice for how to keep the manicure looking great longer, and while my nails were drying, gave me a really nice shoulder and neck massage. A wonderful first experience at sassy nail salon! they were accommodating yesterday as me and my friend did not make any reservations. They seated us right away. We sat right beside each other as they had the space for it and went right to work! My nail technician was extremely helpful and sweet by helping me choose a nail colour. She did an excellent job with my acrylic nails! She was very careful and meticulous with the shape and length of the nails. I am in love with them! ---updated review--- I've been here a few times over the last time I first reviewed here. I need to say that each time I've went, the service was without fail fantastic and the people are great. I find they have a large selection of colour compared to other places I've been to. I also want to note that this place looks extremely clean. They use dental grade sterilization and use pre-packaged items. I always come here to do acrylic gel nails and each time Phillip has shown care and time to make each nail as even and thin as possible to my liking. He is amazing at what he does. Horrible! Dont go .. Save yourself from an infection. The girl who did my manicure was so rushed that when she was trimming my cuticles she cut me 3 times! Then proceeded to tell me it was bc my cuticles are dry! Also got polish onto the side of my nails. As I was waiting for my gel polish to cure she lifted up her foot and picked at her big toe! Then without washing her hands did the next coat of my polish. OMG. When I was waiting again for the next coat she started on another customer's pedicure. She had gloves on and didn't take them off when she came back to me! So she was touching someone else's feet, I was bleeding from my cut and then she touched my fingers!! I couldn't believe it!! Management has changed since my last visit and so has how Sassy Nails is run. My memory might be old but it looks like there are more tables to accomodate more people which is awesome. It was definitely was not as busy as when I attended last time (I'll attribute that to Social Shopper coupons), they were even able to take several walk-ins! The quality of my nails is superb. I got both a manicure and pedicure. I nearly fell asleep from the relaxing leg and foot massage. And my gel nail polish changes colour!! That might be the coolest thing I've ever seen. I'll give it a few days but I'm confident this won't start to peel off tomorrow I was brought a hot cup of tea (without even having to ask) that was fantastic! I can't recall the last time I was given tea at a nail salon. The addition of lemon and cinnamon was just right. It was also very refreshing to see the staff greet regulars with excitement, even noting to one how they hadn't seen her in a long time and expressed concern upon learning it was due to illness. You don't see much genuine care for regular patrons in this day and age. New management has definitely improved this salon and I would highly recommend it. I've been going to Sassy for about 8 years now. Philip and his staff are attentive, friendly, and, most of all, skilled at what they do. I've been to places, like Pure Nail bar, where you're treated like cattle. At Sassy, you're made to feel welcome, not rushed. When you get a mani or pedi, you get an actual hand/leg massage! Prices are very comparable to other salons, and they have specials on throughout the year. The shop is spic and span, and regularly updated..,and they have fantastic shiatsu pedi-chairs and a huge selection of OPI polish, as well as other brands. I have had 5 above excellent experiences at Sassy Nails but my last visit was very rushed with corners clearly cut and the next day I had two very infected nails (one toe, one hand). I had a coupon for the gel nail polish manicure, and I'm going to break the experience down: -the "manicure" part: the nail tech was way too vigorous with the skin removing, which caused my fingers to hurt for a few days afterwards. my manicure looked pretty awful for the first few days in fact because the skin around the nails was so red and irritated. -the gel polish: I am in love with gel polish! I know it's not the healthiest long term thing, but it looks great and it's perfect for someone like me who is notoriously scratch/ding prone. I will definitely be getting gel polish done from now on. The only negative is getting gel polish off, which is apparently very difficult on your own. -the "paraffin wax" treatment: I stuck my hands in super hot wax and then had baggies put over my hands, which is pretty standard. But then instead of inviting us to sit down on the pedicure chairs or something, the three techs left us to sit on the pedicure chairs themselves and chat while me and my two friends sat awkwardly in the manicure section. It was kind of bizarre and definitely did not make us feel like we were in a "vacation environment" as the ad suggested. Overall, now my nails look great so i've given three stars out of five, because even though the experience itself was mediocre, I do respect the quality of the outcome. read more

My experiences here have not been good. I get an acrylic fill done and every time I leave sassy my nails will break within days- I ask then to make them a bit thicker without chunky to avoid breaking But I think they weaken the nail too much with the removal. My last experience 2 nails broke within 2 days of having them done and I wasn't hard on my hands-my one nail was so badly fractured it was halfway down my nail bed-extreme painful. When I whent back for a fix I only left with cuts in my cuticles .. I am very unhappy with my last 3 experiences here. I won't ever go back. read more

I visited this salon after purchasing a social shopper coupon like 2000 other folks. I've been to many salons over the years to do mani/pedis and this one was by far the WORST, so much that I felt compelled to write a review. They rush you into the chair, they rush the service. It took approximately 30 min to do a mani/pedi combined. Not only that, the lady doing my mani cut my cuticles (on 2 fingers) so badly that it wouldn't stop bleeding. She then blamed it on the fact that my cuticles were dry and that it was my fault for not keeping up with manicures regularly. 10 days later and my cuticles are still not healed. There is no ventilation AT ALL, you will leave with a headache. I definitely WILL NOT be returning here. read more

A week ago I popped into visit this salon, after a long absence. I was very impressed with how I was treated. I am very hard in my nails sometimes, and I need someone who can be honest with me. I wanted a low cost system to make my nails look professional and affordable, durable and enduring throughout the week. Phillip the owner and his wife, laboured over my nails, and found a great alternative to the nails that were so high maintenance. It has been over a week and my nails look great! We used a Shellac system and did a French Manicure. I had a wonderful pedicure performed by Phillip's wife on a separate occasion and it was heavenly, and my toenails look glossy and pretty. They also plugged the meter while I was chatting to other women at the salon, and relaxing during the pedicure.... I feel very honoured the effort and commitment they have to getting it right.
