I'm beginning to lose hope finding thE perfect nAil spa. This one definitely isn't it. Although the prices seem a bit lower than other spas, you get what you u pay for. I got my nails done here on two separate occasions both times the polish lasted a few days. This time my nails were crooked and the shellac chipped in a few days....how does that even happen? Shellac ain't supposed to chip. The last time I had s bio-polish and my beautifully long nails were destroyed within a week. The bio polish was thinly layered and thus could not protest my own nails. I came in this morning as a first time customer. I showed Loui a photo of what I wanted, and he perfectly executed it. He took time and listened to everything, and let me try out a couple colours to make sure I got the one most similar to my photo. This set went above and beyond my expectations, and the customer service and environment was exceptional. Very clean, had nice music playing, and all around good vibes. I had my nails done around Christmas time, but this salon left such an impression I had to write a review, An amazing place to get your nails done! I did a walk in appointment and they were able to fit me in :) I've had my acrylics removed and had gel put on top by them. It was a bit crowded but, that was because there was a bridal party going on I believe. They were clean and used new tools for me. I loved how the worker ( unfortunately, I don't remember her name) were correcting my nail shapes when I didn't have to ask! It was uneven due a different salon. She made my nails beautiful. Overall, they were kind, meticulous, and amazing nail salon! They also have a variety of different colours to choose from. read more

Paid extra for the bio gel. It was applied so thin that on my nails cracked and peeled off within a week. When it peeled it took off the top layer of my nail so now I have stubby fingernails that are badly damaged for the next few months. read more

Dedicated customer at Posy- Jennifer and Jenny (I think she goes by that name) are the best! I'm the most picky customer EVER and Jennifer is able to get the shape I want perfectly every single time. She also takes her time and doesn't rush in terms of the exact style and shape you need. I've come in countless times with a broken nail (definitely more times my fault e.g. being too rough with them) and she's been able to fix them flawlessly. We did not enjoy our time here. It was chaotic and the staff was unfriendly and very unprofessional. I was so disappointed. I had booked a mani/pedi but cancelled the manicure because I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. I would recommend just paying a bit more and going to a nicer place where you feel welcome and taken care of. You'll probably get a better service too. read more

I first came to Posy just for my pedicures but I recently switched over completely and I am so happy I am. Compared to other salons around here they are much better in terms of atmosphere, space, service, and quality. It's never so packed where you feel claustrophobic, they always serve you tea or water, they never rush your service and take their time with your nails, and I'm pretty certain their pedicure prices are way better than most around here. I'm kinda glad it's not that busy in here all the time but I do highly recommend them! read more

This is the only place I go to get my nails done. I always love them and the staff is amazing! I call in and book a appointment with Kim. Anything from gel manicure to acrylic nails and waxing. my nails last up to 3 weeks till my next fill in!!! If they chip or break they can fix it the next day. Over all a great place. I highly recommend this place be your go to nail salon. They also have a second location. I have been going here for over a year and I can honestly say this is my favorite place to get my nails done. I have been very impressed with the service I receive at Posy. They consistently do a beautiful job on my gel nails, and make sure I am getting exactly what I want throughout the process. They have a huge selection of colours, which was a pleasant surprise the first time I booked an appointment! My nails always look very natural, and have never chipped or broken - and I am not easy on my nails!! The only reason I give them 4/5 stars is sometimes it feels a little rushed in there, and it's not as relaxing as some places. Other than this, they have been excellent! read more

My mum and sister are very loyal customers to posy so i thought id go here for a change and get a full acrylic set. I had Josie as my manicurist and was I extremely uncomfortable for the entirety of my appointment. I wanted a plain black full set and she had kept pressuring me into doing a design on my nails, i kept declining, she told me my nails would be boring and continued to pressure me. I declined politely over and over and even when she was on the last step of my nails she told me it was too boring and dark. I felt awkward and embarrassed and just wanted to leave. I even asked her to make the nails shorter and she told me no, and that they wouldnt look good. 0/10 not impressed and wont be going back. read more

I had a gel manicure done exactly a week ago and I was extremely happy when I left the salon, but as the day progressed I realized my nails weren't done to perfection. The girl who applied the gel polish didn't apply it evenly, so I can partially see the white of my nail through the two coats of polish. After four days of having the gel polish on, it has started to chip off the tips which is really disappointing since I've never had gel nails do this before. I recommend booking ahead of time, because you never know when it'll be busy! It's only a couple minutes away from Yaletown station which is great. The ladies here are very patient and friendly. Don't be afraid to ask questions or speak up about something you're interested in, and they will help you out. The great thing is that there are many gel colors and top coats to choose from, and for the price they charge, I'd say it's quite reasonable. If you have an issue with your nails, all you need to do is call and then drop by so they can take a look. My friend's nails chipped a few days later, and they fixed it, no problems. This is the place to go for trendy nails if you don't have the money to go to the more upscale ones like Glam Nail Studio. read more

The decor of nails spa is great with quite very traditional ways of spa chairs. I had a pedicure there and it was such a bad experience. The lady who did for me was Vietnamese. Her attitude was very very bad towards Asian clients. She thought I wasn't Vietnamese so they were all talking about me a whole time. LoL. ..... very wrong way of treating ur clients. Dirty nail salon! I used to come here all the time to get a pedicure when it was called fingers and toes. I just recently was here and had a pedicure done at Posy and they must have used dirty tools because now I have a nail fungus under my toenail and I've never had this happen before:( I'm so embarrassed to show my toenails now and with all this nice weather it's really a shame. This place must be under new management. It's really gone down hill in my opinion. I would also recommend for everyone to watch the tools that are being used, make sure they only use clean ones that are being pulled out from a new package. read more

My first time coming to this spa was also my last.. came out to Vancouver from Burnaby to get my nails done here because I heard nothing but good things! I always get my nails done black, just black acrylics. When I told the nail tech that I just wanted plain black acrylics she looked disgusted and tried to talk me out of it. Told me I needed a nicer colour. I politely told her I just want plain black and when I say the ENTIRE time I was at this god forsaken nail salon she tried to tell me to get a design or any other colour. I felt so uncomfortable the entire time and just eventually stopped answering her. Then she started to bring other staff over to tell me I needed a design or another colour. WHAT??? Leave me alone!!!! I wanted to scream. I was extremely anxious and uncomfortable for the whole 2 and half hours I had to sit in that chair. She wouldn't stop. I didn't tip, because I was so upset and just wanted to leave and then I was asked WHY I DIDNT TIP?? I just left and never looked back. read more

Worst place I've ever been to! My manicures usually take 40 minutes but here I was stuck for 2 hours!!! No one knows how to remove gel color and paint properly! They were so rough my fingers hurt at the end. What's even worse is that they didn't even apologize- everyone had a super bad attitude! Just don't go to this place. Save your nerves, time and money. I went here as a referral from a friend to get a gel fill. At first it went well and the nail tech was nice and confident in what she was doing which was great since I know I'm picky but it put me at ease. I figured i was in good hands so I started paying more attention to my texts and emails, then half way through the first hand I looked up and she was putting acrylic on when I specifically told her I wanted a gel fill. She proceeded to tell me that it was "Solar Gel Nails" which I know is a completely false statement. A powder and a liquid mixed together is an acrylic, a substance that is semi liquid and comes in a tub is a gel. End. Of. Story. "Solar nails" is by a company that manufactures ACRYLIC nail products. This isn't my first rodeo and either she is completely unaware of the product that she is using or she's a goddamn liar. Either way my trust was completely gone but I asked her to use the UV gel which she gracefully agreed to. I always try to not judge the process and just judge the end result however her application was too messy to ignore as it got all over my cuticles and was dripping off the nail. I also asked her to take off the acrylic and replace it with gel so she soaked my fingers in acetone (Which only works to take off ACRYLIC, if it were gel it would of done nothing) and then filed some of it down and put gel over top without taking it all off. She also filed them down very thin even though i specifically mentioned that my nails needed to be a thicker application of gel since they are so long but at this point I just wanted out of there to book an appointment somewhere else to fix this fiasco. I love the attention and service that you get here. I have yet to run into a nail spa in the US that is equal. The ladies who work here are so nice and you get exactly what you want. My mom and I drive from around the Seattle area because we love the service and always leave feeling more than satisfied with our nails. The fake nails that I got are absolutely flawless and not fat or thick at all. I had my toes done as well and I have never had my toes done and had them last so long. My mom also got shellac nails and same thing! They are amazing and last so long. I highly recommend this place to anyone. I've been getting my gel nails done here for a while, and the reason I'm even giving 2 stars is because they are always able to fit me in on short notice, and originally my nails were beautiful. However, lately my nails have been peeling, breaking, chipping, and just generally ugly as sin. I broke a nail a week after my fill (not my fault, i literally went to pick up my cat's food and it snapped off) and got it fixed, then a day later it peels off again. On top of that all my nails are peeling and gross only days after a fill, and dirt gets lodged in them making them look dirty and brown. If i wanted my nails to look like that I wouldn't bother spending $50+ on gels, I'd just deal with my own flakey layered nails. I think for upwards of $50 per fill PLUS the additional time I've had to spend getting them fixed over and over is not good. read more

I've been going to Posy for a while, the first couple sets were pretty good. Recently I've had issues with my nails chipping and breaking within 5-7 days (these are my real nails kept short with overlay). Within three days of a new set the shellac began changing colour, they looked terrible! I went in to have them fixed they claimed due to the light colour and wearing jeans this had changed the colour. IMPOSSIBLE! I went to school for aesthetics this is due to cheap product. I had the colour changed to dark after all of this they charged me $30. This should've been done for free! read more
