Nice nail salon on Robson. I had booked an appointment for 5pm but still waited 15mn before someone took care of me. The salon is quite big. It seems like the place is always busy. The massage chairs for the pedicure are comfy with lots of settings to play with. Sofia did my pedicure and Cynthia did my manucure. I was happy with both. Unfriendly staff, not clean, and quality is lacking despite the price. Use to go here often enough and it was fine but my last visit was the final straw. The technician was rude and just trying to get me out of there. When I asked for a full gel set with extensions she sighed in my face which is crazy. I had to pick out 5 different shades of blue because none were in stock and every time she went to check she was noticeably annoyed. She stopped multiple times throughout the appointment to text her friend in front of me. I was there until closing time and despite her trying to force me out as quickly as possible, she proceeded to leave me at the table with unfinished nails and chat with her friends in the back of the salon and text with them. I would have been absolutely okay with her if she said there wasn't enough time to do what I was asking for, but the way it was handled was incredibly unprofessional. Do not go here read more

This place has really gone downhill. The girls that work here are rushing to finish so they can get back to gossiping with their friends. They didn't even shape my nails and only did one coat of polish. The nail polish were applied unevenly. When I said I need another coat of polish they told me I had to request in advance ??? First of all, the nails I got were amazing and by far the best I've had. Perfect shape and length. I had come here for an acrylic fill and I was seated right away. I saw on their website a fill was only $25 so that was why I chose to come here instead of my usual salon (also because it's closer). I wanted to get holographic ombré tips which isn't very complicated, and I saw on their Instagram they had done it before. I showed my technician a picture and she told me it would be $15 extra (kind of a rip off) What was good: - people are friendly and professional - place is clean - prices are cheap (adding onto this below) what was bad: - my technician was a bit rough on my nails, especially when she was using the mechanical pen to buzz off my previous acrylics. She cut my skin near my nails a couple of times (didn't bleed) but it hurt. - $25 fill + $15 extra for holo powder should equal $40. But I was charged $65 ! Probably added tip to it. But that's a $25 extra charge! Felt really ripped off and might as well have gone to my original salon. Even though my nails are great, I felt like they weren't being honest with their prices, which is something they should clarify up front. read more

I got my first acrylic extension done in this place, I really like it, I never thought of doing fake nails, why I want to do it? Because my real nails always break after I kept doing shellac,it got weaker so I decided to try the extension. It looks 1.5 hours to do it but it's worth the time and price, because the girl did a really good job spending her time and do my nails. I did the manicure ,acrylic extension, then at last place the shellac. It's comes out really good and smooth as I seen it looks no difference, can't tell if it's fake or not because it's like my real nails. I love the color I chose dusty blue and dusty sparkle blue. It matches my bridesmaid dress which is the reason I need to get my nails done to prepare for my friend's wedding. I recommend this place!!! read more

I have been getting my nails done there for a few years and every time you go, you get a virtual stamp on your account. If you get something like 10 stamps you get a free pedicure. Last time I went I made sure to check how many visits I had and it said 6. I recently got a pedicure and after I paid I only had 4. I said I had 6 before and no response or attempt to fix it so, I think they are deleting visits. read more

I have given this nail salon at least a couple of tries, as it is so close to where I live, and it is always easy to book or walk-in. The salon itself is very typical of a Vietnamese nail salon, with the similar massage chairs, services, etc. I like how their prices are slightly cheaper than some of the other places in the area. Every time I go there, and I usually do a manicure and pedicure with shellac, it takes at least an hour and half to complete the service. Unlike other salons, they don't have technicians working on both hands and feet at the same time, and I always ended up having to wait at least half an hour more, without apologies or acknowledgement from the staff. I went to get a manicure and pedicure done on Sunday. I've called ahead and made sure I've booked in advance. My feet were getting done first and finished well before the technician start working on my hands. I ended up sitting with feet exposed (it was a bit chilly) and I was never told whether or not the polish have been dried. Overall, my manicure and pedicure took more than 90 mins!!! Also, when it came to massage, my technician doesn't seem very present and was distracted by other going ons- it was very much just rub some lotion on my arms for a few seconds and then went away. I'm giving this place two stars not just because of the slow service but also I find my nails chip more easily if they are done at this salon. The polish at other salon I usually go to in Yaletown last at least one week before any chip. If it wasn't for the convenience, I don't think I would go there. read more

May look clean but it may not be hygienic I booked an appointment 2 days in advance for a mani/pedi. Never got confirmation. I showed up and they seemed surprised to see me. I asked if they had my appointment they didn't answer. The person had 2 shopping bags in their hands and proceeded rinse out the foot bath and then fill it up. At this point I decided based on my first interactions with the employee and the foot bath was being rinsed not cleaned to leave. Nail spas are supposed to have very high level of cleanliness and show you that the items they are using (including foot baths) are clean. This place does not do this and maybe for a reason... ew! read more

Definitely not going back. Not only they're not good at what they're doing they rude and have bad attitudes. I had a very scary experience at this salon. Two person working on each of my hands and they had different styles. My left finger nails turned vay more shorter than the right ones and the shapes were very different. They treated me very bad after I complained about uneven finger nails. Then their manager came with bunch of other people working there and told me that it wasn't the salon's fault and I have "crooked nail and fingers". I DON'T HAVE CROOKED NAIL OR FINGERS. I've been to a couple places in Vancouver, this place gets 5 stars for overall happiness. When going to almost any nail salon, it's common that it's first come first serve. I always go in the early mornings to avoid busy hours and I've never had a problem going early, I've had to wait the most 5 minutes before and they're courteous and have you sit in a chair and pick your colour. Especially for the price, one of the most reasonable priced nail spas especially for the quality you get. If you want reserves to matter, try a pricier place! I've only had one set of "bad" nails, and it was from a trainee. They were only bad because they were too thin and broke too easily. All the other sets I've gotten from the male and Cindy were amazing. I get coffin shaped and this can be a big hit or miss and they got it perfect. Lots of colour choices. They play music, and are generally friendly! Place is clean and modern! I recommend to anyone who appreciates quality for a good price! read more

Service was poor. One staff member laughed at how short my nails are at the beginning of my appointment. We made an appointment for three regular manicures and were on time but were all seen to at different times by different people - my sister had to wait at least ten minutes after my manicure had started. The arm massage portion of my manicure was very unpleasant - the technician cracked my wrists and overall didn't seem to know what she was doing at this point. My sister and friend both had pleasant experiences with their massages. Further, we had to wait a long time for the top coat to be applied and then were not told how long to keep our hands under the drier. The staff were getting ready to close the shop but were not concerned with getting us out. My sister and friends nail look fantastic. Mine look okay (despite having short nails from biting, I have been able to get a better manicure from other establishments). I would not return because of the poor service. read more

Love this place. Don't expect stellar service if you're a walk-in, even if you reserve - if they're busy, and have you sit - you may be sitting for 15-20 mins wait time. Once they get started though, the work is great. Everything is clean and done well. It can get loud, because they have music videos playing and the staff will talk quite loudly at each other (yelling over each other etc - not often though). English isn't great, so it's hard to understand sometimes. But as long as you show them (if you have examples/photos) what you want, they can replicate well. I used to go to ChiChi nails which has served me well over the years. One day I decided to try this place for a variation of services. I'm really glad I came. Although they are busy, I feel that they pay more attention to detail than other nail joints. They are accommodating to walk ins however, during this busy tourist season, don't be alarmed if you have a bit of a wait. What I liked : 1. Clean atmosphere. 2. Tons of colour options for shellac/gel 3. Offer you green tea, coffee or water 4. Very accommodating (as much as they can to their capacity) 5. Use of higher quality products (ie. CND hand lotion versus come crappy bulk lotion from China!). 6. A more personable atmosphere despite language barrier (I hope they don't lose this with time like most other offers) The thing I disliked: 1. Watching MTV award reruns every time I'm there!!! 2. Going to the washroom: what a maze! Hallway takes you into the inner bowels of that Robson Mall place. Hallways smell rather funky and it's a mission to go. Don't wait until the last minute- your bladder WILL explode! I recommend this place for an efficient mani/pedi with decent prices, good quality service and clean atmosphere. I'd request a different channel next time (unless you haven't been here and likely haven't seen these re runs before!) and make sure I come with an empty bladder :) read more

Mani was no polish and I guess she thought that meant not bothering with much of it. No lotion on feet after pedi. Rushed from this service to lash tint, so didn't have time to ask for lotion. Lash person made a human error and started putting lash extensions in. I did not catch right away and when I did, she acted like she couldn't understand me. It took a fair bit of negotiating to get them to remove them and in the process she stung my eyes with something. They refused to cut the charge to just a basic pedi. Very rude. Refused to listen. I have been to this salon a few times now. Last time I had shellac on both fingers and toes - two of the toe polish came off with in a week, and my nails lasted under a week. I didn't go back because I was in Mexico. Yesterday I thought I would give it another try with a pedicure, but getting regular polish - I have bubbles in the polish on 3 nails. Very disappointed, and once again I am off to travel so can not go back to have it corrected. The staff are very lovely, but needless to say I can not keep spending money somewhere I can't going back to have errors fixed every time.... especially when I travel so much. read more

Hi. My boyfriend and I went for a mani - pedi on Aug 5 2018 . They were friendly when we first entered. They basically ignored my man . They did not clip or file his nails . They splashed a coat of clear on his fingernails . Super bad job of it . There are bubbles and places they missed completely . They did nothing for his toenails. Wow . They didn't speak english and kept talking in their own. Not sure if they were making fun of us , but it felt like it. They charged him $72.19 for his. Cheap and convenient. They do take walk-ins but it's sheer luck whether anything will be free when you arrive so an appointment is safer unless you don't mind waiting around for a while. I went here for a manicure and pedicure after spending a month moving house and putting together Ikea furniture, my nails were all broken and I felt I needed someone else to take care of it while I relaxed and recovered. The pedicure was pleasant but I was less than impressed with the manicure. I didn't get any polish, just wanted my broken nails tidied up and looking neat. But after I left, I kept finding rough spots on the nails where they hadn't been fully filed smooth. Maybe if I'd got polish she'd have done more filing or would have noticed the flaws; there was nothing huge, and it was easy to touch up with a nail file, but certainly I'd expected better from a professional place. read more

Found this place while on vacation when I "chipped" both the nails on my thumbs. To be fair, when I say chipped, I mean more like nearly tore them in half. Anyways, I looked through Yelp and was really only looking for a nail place to glue them back on so they don't tear off completely or snag on my hair or clothes. I initially went to a different nail salon but they were busy and asked me to come back in 30 minutes. As I walked out of that place, literally within a few steps, I walked into Robson Nails & Spa where there was no wait. They immediately helped me and a nail technician/manicurist "glued" my nail back on by putting on what I think is some acrylic nail powder and it fixed my nail like you can't tell that it was torn or broken at all. I was pretty pleased because I like for my nails to look natural and be the same length. The nail technician/manicurist also removed the old clearish pink nail polish I had and repainted all my nails clear to match my thumbs which made me pretty happy! Seemed fairly clean and was very quiet other than the music they were playing in the background. The nail technician/manicurist was very nice and even gave me recommendations on places I should visit. Overall, it was a pretty good experience and a place I would recommend to others. read more
