Popped in on a Thursday morning and they were able to accommodate me. It was a full house but my esthetician Christine didn't rush through my pedicure. I requested for extra scrub as the winter months have not been kind to my heels. She did a fantastic job of giving me back some baby soft feet. There's currently a foot of snow outside so it's pretty cold. Christine put my feet under a dryer with cold setting as this ensures a quicker dry time. She even took the time to drape a towel over my feet to keep it from being exposed to the cold fan! This location is convenient as there is street parking out front. They have a tv and provide WiFi code. Plus my nails looked fabulous. What more could you ask for? I definitely recommend Rose Nail & Spa and will be taking my mom here! read more

A great little nail salon in the Dunbar area of Vancouver. The interior is bright, new and is equipped with air conditioning (a nice perk for the summer months) The Asian ladies that work here offer really friendly, attentive service. They truly provide excellent feet pampering. I'm not sure if they use the autoclave to sterilize their equipment though. They have a large selection of OPI polishes and their beige salon chairs are super-comfy. I absolutely adore Rose Nails. The women who work there are kind, hard working and very friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and the location is well placed. Hidden Gem. $45 Mani-Pedi, $30 Brazilian. I walked into the salon looking for a quick mani-pedi and I definitely got it. It's not as lush and luxurious as perhaps some nail salons you'd find in Yaletown, but the aestheticians and nail technicians know their stuff. For example, the aestheticians use a wax that is not too hot so that us girls won't get ingrowns. Huong was also very thorough, attentive, and absolutely fearless. I can say the same about the other aestheticians. However, every now and then you get the one waxer that starts doing your upper legs and your stomach. It's really weird and I wish she wouldn't do that. Anyways, you can just tell when you're there - a lot of the customers know these women and give them hugs and gifts when they leave because they are so satisfied with the work. And this is quality work too: free-hand nail art, nail shaping, proper sanitation techniques etc. Especially if you live in the area, go here! I had a Mani/Pedi at Rose nails in Kerrisdale today. I was able to book my appointment last minute and arrived to find the stuff fully equipped with PPE and social distancing measures. My hands were sprayed on arrival and I felt safe the entire time I was there. They did an excellent job and I would not hesitate to return again for the same treatment. The staff told me only 4 customers are allowed in at a time based on their square footage. read more

Love this place. The technicians are super friendly and treat me so nicely. I always get gel polish mani and pedi and they are always done perfectly. The massages are to die for and the massage chairs are relaxing too. It is a great local nail salon that I have gone to for years. Came in for a pedi and for my acrylic nails to be removed and they did such a good job. The nail tech took her time to make sure my nails were still strong after the acrylic and gave them such a lovely gel polish finish. I love this place! Great polish selection, friendly prompt service, and most importantly they do a great job on your nails. Their prices are good too - 45 dollars for a mani/pedi. They also offer threading and waxing which is a plus. Eyebrow threading is 10 bucks, not bad at all for a place west of main street. read more

This place was really good the first time I went and got gel nails about 2 years. HOWEVER- I went today and they put me with one of their new guys and he was horrible!!! It took him an hour and a half to do my Shellac nails- my friends said it should only take 45 min usually.... The nail polish colour I picked was "melting" according to them so they had to switch colours mid way to a different colour- which they said looked really similar (not really)... By the end of it the colour was all smudged on the sides, or peeling off on the sides.. It was so bad. I said that it doesnt look that great- and they obviously knew that cause they were like- "ok we'll give you 5$ off". Even though I thought I should pay max 15$ for the way it turned out. Overall a bad experience, the guy I was with couldnt speak English- I couldnt communicate to him what wanted- and more importantly he didnt know how to do nails!!! read more

I went here for removing my gel nails. The gentleman working on my nails took his time and completed the nail removal gently so my own nails weren't damaged. Staff were very attentive and took me in quickly as I didn't have a booking. Will definitely go back. read more

Just got my nails done here and the whole experience was much below par compared to the other places I have been. Asked for gel french mani which I have had done at other places. The shape is not consistent (some square, some more rounded tipped) and after commenting on it 3 times that they were uneven and slanted with no proper correction I gave up. To top it off there are visible color variations on the "base" color, which was put on top of the white (never had that done before) and now there are a couple places the white is peach colored. Commented I did not like the color and I was told I picked it. Picking the color (when I asked them for their opinion) and liking noticeable inconsistent coloring on a french manicure are not the same thing. I would never recommend the place.... not asked if I like it or if I was happy in the end either and was too angry to say anything when I left. $50 down the drain. On the positive, they seemed to do a much better job on other people in the salon when I was there and saw another women's french gel job and it looked good. Don't know why the difference in service was provided. read more

Ive been here a few times to get a french manicure with i've alway been really happy with $25 cant complain. The girls are really friends and welcoming. However, i decided to get gel nails and was very disappointed. They used what seemed to be plastic white extensions which is not what i wanted but i decided to still get it done. I was pleased with the out come how ever there were a few places where the white bled into the clear. 3 days later my first nail broke off and after a week 4 had broken off and 1 was cracked. Paying $50 for nails that done last... I wouldnt go back for gel nails but mani/pedi its good. read more

AWFUL!! DO NOT waste your time or money! Only go here if you know of no other nail salon and want the WORST treatment and service. I have been getting my nails done in Vancouver for over 15 years, and have a pretty good idea of what a "good job" looks like. This place does NOT do that. And they know ZERO about customer service. I used to go to Star Nails in Kerrisdale and they were amazing. I'm so sad they closed, and that was the reason I decided to try this place out. They appear friendly when you first walk in, because they want your business. But if you have any complaints about the details in their work (and I'm not a big complainer), they quickly turn sour. I got gel polish 3 days ago. That very same day, without ANY unusual usage of my hands, I noticed that the polish was chipping. I went back straight away, despite having to leave my 10-month old son at home with my husband, and they fixed that nail. That night, two others chipped. When I went back the next day, I showed it to them, and said that I was concerned they were all going to chip, so I'd like them to re-do all of it. Not unreasonable, I would think. The owner, Tanya, told me (very rudely) that she didn't have time and I should come back tomorrow. So the next day I found a sitter, and went back because I HAD to get them fixed...my grandmother's funeral was the next day. So she handed me off to one of her "less capable" employees, who proceeded to do a crappy paint job (you could see my nail through some of the polished areas) and actually left small black fibers from her brush on 2 of the nails. I noticed after it had dried, and when I quietly called Tanya over to show her, her reaction was to try to scrape it off - after I had just spent 1.5 hours (yes, 1.5 HOURS) sitting there getting them done!! RIDICULOUS! I had never sat that long for gel polish in the last 2 years of having it done. EVER. And then to end up with a horrible nail job?! I was fuming. Long story short, I asked her for a refund, she refused, and said that it was MY fault for not pointing out to her employee that there were hairs on my nails. MY FAULT?! MY JOB to tell your employees how to do their jobs well? Hilarious. Needless to say I will NEVER go back to this place, and I would call their garbage work shoddy at best. If you like this place, you've clearly been extremely lucky...or have not had an actual GOOD nail job done anywhere else to know the difference. read more

Absolutely the worst service I have ever received. I went in to get a fill and the man that was doing my nails was so rough. He cut me so many times, over-filed my nails to the point it burned. The end result was crooked, bumpy and definitely not the color I chose. WILL NOT GO BACK! read more

I think it was just the specific woman who did mine (I didn't get her name) but my nails were painted very unevenly, starting at different points on my nail beds and missing the sides entirely. I have been going to this place regularly since it opened several years ago and have always had an excellent experience. It is clean and fast and always a great job is done. The ladies who work there are so nice and really care about doing a good job. I get gel manis there now and they last 3 weeks without a chip! The last gel pedi I had there lasted 2 months without a chip and still looked as fresh as the day it was done! People were actually asking me if I had just had my nails done when they were 2 months old! I could have left it longer but of course had to get the nails trimmed, etc. Often I go there when I don't have much time and if I tell them I have to be done by a certain time they always accommodate me. They also have a location in Kerrisdale and a new one on Main St. but I have not tired those ones as I love the aestheticians at the Dunbar location! read more
