Came here for brunch on a Saturday and had a great meal! I made a reservation a few days before online for a party of 4. Tables of 5 aren't available online so I had to email the restaurant. They responded the next day and were able to add another person to the reservation which I appreciated. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous, it's upscale and classy but not stuffy or old. The cocktails are great, really enjoyed their spritz. I got the burger which was pretty good! Very big and came with great fries. The drinks were also solid. They also had a bunch of pastries in the front from their bakery that looked delicious but I was too full from the burger to get anything else.

Friendly service, but food was just alright here. Got the bread basket with ricotta - butter was good, but the bread was unfortunately cold, and the ricotta could have used a bit of salt. Tried the leeks appetizer, the inner parts were nice and tender, but the exterior for some of them were quite fibrous. Pork main was just alright, decent flavors albeit quite simple. Pasta was probably the best item that we tried. Layout was quite packed, and pretty busy on a weekday evening.

They were accomodating and welcomed my little one with open arms. The bread was out of this world but very decadent. Anchovies were very salty. I didn't quite understand the chicken pan bread, but quickly understood what they meant. There was literally a giant piece of bread under the chicken. The chicken was very well cooked and moist. I would definitely get this again. The rigatoni was good, but nothing special.

I stopped in with some friends on a whim looking for a late night spot for desserts and cocktails. We ended up loving all of the desserts we got, and my friend also really liked her drinks. We all agreed we'd come back to try their dinner because the vibes were really great, the lighting and decor was upscale yet accessible.

To me, Raf's baked goods are one of the best in NYC. The quality of their food is consistent. Their pastries always impress me. My top picks are their candied orange almond croissant and canelé. *Seasonal Peach Galette My favorite item in this haul The glazed peach is sweet and juicy. The crushed nuts on top adds more tecture to the tart. The crust of the galette is buttery. Perfect in every way. *Canelé A classic french dessert, yet it is difficult to find a good canelé in NYC. Their canelé has the perfect crunchy outer and pudding-like interior after I reheat it in the oven. *Asparagus and Goat Cheese Danish Sadly this is my least favorite as I dislike goat cheese. The danish part is perfectly flaky as always. However, the goat cheese is too pungent and overpowering that I have to give up after first bite. My bf enjoys this pastry though.

Still love the vibe and hosts are nice. Recently came here for dessert and it was about 45min wait and it took a bit too long to get our tea and dessert once we were seated but I love that they didn't rush us and we were able to chat over tea as long as we wanted to.

Food wasn't OMG knock my socks off. But the service was. We arrived at the end of brunch service and were quickly seated and got a cool waitress from Brooklyn who was patient and kind giving us food recs and even swapping my pasta as when it arrived it was not hot and just kind of luke warm. It was also low key bland. Our table had a view of the open kitchen and we saw the issue, the chef kind of just sat the food there as he looked around the kitchen for ingredients to finish preparing the dish. I actually had to call our waitress to go grab our dish bc if not, I would've had the same issue as before. The decor was fine, watch out for those white table cloths they're huge and I had to kind of sit it on my lap to sit comfortably in the corner table.

Enjoyed my Easter brunch at @rafsnewyork ! Their pastries are on the sweeter and heavier side for me, but I did enjoy both the pasta and the omelette. The omelette was light and delicate, while the pasta was surprisingly spicy

Raf's (from the Musket Room team) was solid but not amazing. I came for lunch and tried: + Tuna tartare + Red endive + Leeks vinaigrette + Dry aged beef burger + Olive oil cake The olive oil cake was actually my favorite bite, though it doesn't need the icing. Burger was the next best thing, followed by the red endive. Tuna and leeks were tasty but both overdressed. The pastries were the most exciting to me, so I'd swing by for breakfast or a quick treat in the AM.

My friend and I met for an impromptu dinner a few weeks ago. The ambiance was a small restaurant, and reservations were hard to come by. My friend managed to get a reservation for two people, and I did not want to have the FOMO. The restaurant was very strict on taking photos, and their menu stressed no flash photography. This place takes this photography rule pretty seriously because one diner had a huge flash on when they were taking pictures and everyone working there, and neighboring diners were NOT happy. Service was great, and our server was very knowledgeable on what wines to pair with our dishes. 1) Selection of Daily Breads - These breads are freshly made in-house and to order. They were amazing. 2) Escargots - pretty presentation, but we had difficulty getting the contents out of the shells, plus it was very herby. Personally, I wouldn't get this again, but if you want to take a picture of a pretty dish, then order it. 3) Malfaldine - I had mixed feelings about this dish. On the one hand, I didn't taste the shredded rabbit meat. On the other hand, out of the homemade pasta dishes, this is worth ordering due to the quantity of the pasta. 4) Half Chicken - Chicken is very tender, and the portion appeared large due to the addition of bread. This dish is worth ordering. 5) Pomme Frites - Fries were addicting and definitely worth ordering. 6) Carmelized White Chocolate Budino - this dessert was amazing. This is a must order. 7) A glass of the 2019 Cardedu, Canonau di Sardegna, 'Caladu,' Sardegna - this wine paired so well with the savory dishes ordered. The experience was worth the splurge. I'd personally return during the day to taste and order a bunch of their baked goods.

I have been to Raf's multiple times and it is such a cute place to eat. I usually go on early evenings on weekdays so I typically find a place at the bar to sit as a solo diner. Plus they have space for bags/coats so if you shop in the SoHo/NoHo area, you can have a place to dine. As a person who does occasionally drinks but prefers to not go all in, they have teaser versions of their cocktails so you can have around half of the full drink. It was around $10 dollars so I think it was fun & I had the together forever drink and it was refreshing and sweet. I had pasta at the restaurant and it was done well. The bartender who served me was well informed on the menu and gave me suggestions. Overall, the people working there are so kind. But a highlight for me is the desserts. Specifically the white chocolate caramelized budino. I went back to Raf's just to have that as a dessert again. I do need to visit this place for breakfast/ brunch and to try their bakery. I think due to its relative small size I think it can be relatively intimate (date night for sure). I will definitely be back!

I visited their restaurant on a Sunday morning and was intrigued by their bakery. I tried the olive oil lemon poppy cake, which was moist and flavorful. I'd love to come back to try more items--and perhaps breakfast as well. The decor was cute, adding to the overall charm of the experience.

Love it here! The food, drinks, service are all just perfect. You can come here for any occasion. It's not the easiest to snag a prime time reservation but we were able to eat at the bar as walk-ins on. Wednesday night at 7:00. Don't sleep on the bread, rigatoni or of course the chicken - it's life changing. Leeks were also very good and a bit different. Highly recommend!

Particularly the penne funghi is to die for. Tried the linguine vongole clam pasta for the first time and was pretty good as well! Just wish there was more sauce and the clams were the tiniest size I've seen which was disappointing and to make matters worse, a good 1/3 of them were empty. Besides that, the meal was delightful and still great value as it was delicious with huge portions! Love! However, service at this particular branch is nowhere near as good as other branches. I understand it's busy and it's always incredibly crowded with people and cramped seating and loud music/voices but this was like no other. When I arrived party of 2, they had nearly 5 tables empty and yet we couldn't sit at any of them because the had to wait for reservations to see if they arrived and we had to wait 15 min but they said they'd let us know. We were forced to sit at the bar which the giant metal can of alcohol bottles took up 1/2 my seating/dining area and no one bothered to move it or ask if that was okay because obviously it wasn't but the didn't care. We waited awhile for the food to come and during that time we asked if there really wasn't any table availability since tables clearly open and the denied again even though reservations never came. Literally 3 tables remains consistently empty throughout our entire dining experience confined to the cramped bar area. They even closed the door, separating the outdoor diners which was weird and it became insufferably hot inside, even on a cold windy day. Bathroom situation here is also terrible as it is downstairs with steep narrow stairs and me and other customers almost bumped into each other and staff carrying multitude of food dishes and dirty dishes up and down the stairs. Never have I ever had such an undelightful experience going to bathroom at a restaurant. Additionally, sink water pressure either had no water coming out or a giant spray of water making it impossible to wash hands without getting a whole shower. This location really needs work. Only reason why I'm not giving it five stars is because I love Fumo as a whole. Just skip this location.

We were also touched by the complimentary anniversary scoop of ice cream. The interior seating is a bit snug, but the decor is beautiful--elegant yet homey. The service was good as well. Overall, we highly recommend L'Artusi for a special night out!

L'Artusi has been on my radar for a while, ever since I heard it was a hot spot and saw reviews of…read moreit being one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Being Italian American, I'm hypercritical of spots like these - but nevertheless the positive reviews were overwhelming so I wanted to check it out for myself. One of my friends and I were looking to catch up, so I booked a table and off we went. While it can be tricky to get a reservation during prime dinner time, it's relatively easy to get a lunch reservation - or an early/late dinner. I managed to get a reservation for dinner at 9:15pm which was the earliest I could find. The restaurant is pretty unassuming on the outside - it looks like a converted brownstone and once inside we were greeted by a large space with a sceney vibe. The space is split between two levels with a large bar up front and a semi-open kitchen in the back. The decor was modern - with lots of greys and neutral tones which was a little unexpected. The main star of the menu is pasta, but they also have a few non-pasta mains as well as some crudo selections, apps, and sides. We decided to get a few apps, two pastas, and one side. To start, we went with the octopus, roasted mushrooms, burrata crostone, and focaccia. These were all really good, but my favorite was the mushrooms. I'm usually not a fan of mushrooms but these were prepared with red pepper and fried egg and were delicious; it cut through the earthiness and changed the texture to something I really enjoyed. The focaccia was also a standout - it's house made and was paired with a peppery oil that complemented the bread well. For mains we split two pastas - the caccio e pepe and the rigatoni. Both of these were very good, though I felt the rigatoni was the stronger dish. It was prepared with sausage ragu, soppressata, broccoli rabe pesto, and pecorino. The flavors worked really well together and the pasta was cooked al dente. The caccio e pepe was perfectly fine, I just feel it's been overplayed and didn't feel there was anything that stood out amongst the others I've tried. We also got a broccoli rabe as a side which was great. We couldn't leave without dessert and decided to get their olive oil cake and quattro formaggio cheesecake. The restaurant is known for the former - it was perfectly fine but I've had olive oil cakes elsewhere of the same or better quality. The cheesecake was the stronger dessert IMO - the combination of cheeses gave it an interesting, almost savory flavor. The brûlée top and mascerated strawberries were great texture and flavor complements. Service was great - the place was packed but service was consistently on point and everyone was friendly. Overall, I had a good experience at L'Artusi. While everything was very good, I'm struggling to find the exact reason why this place became such a hot spot compared to other Italian spots in the city. Nevertheless, you'll have a good meal here and I would definitely return if given the opportunity.

I read the reviews mostly good so I was hoping for the best. My friends and I were not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was there were 7 people in my party and 4 arrived early and did not have to wait for my arrival to be seated. Second the waiter who took our order was polite and on point with specials and knowledge of the menu. He (just never caught his name) suggested the Rigatoni which chicken and sausage. I am not really a pasta eater but baby that dish could change that; it was DELICIOUS. I even liked the anchovy dressing on my Caesar Salad and I dislike anchovies. All the dishes ordered (chicken parm, mussels chicken paillard etc.) everyone enjoyed them immensely. The only negative was when the Chicken Paiikard arrived it was supposed to a shared dish by the elderly couple and they asked for regular dinner plates from one of the servers. It took the gentleman who took our order to step in and said sure, lucky their food was still hot. Common Sense is not so common for all. But this will not lower my rating as it was taken care of swiftly. The portions were the perfect size and I was not stuffed but pleasantly satified.
