Food is always good and the service very nice. There are a lot of variety and options for gluten free. Their daily specials are often a great choice. Depending on the time the place is quiet. Early dinner around 5-6 pm is not as loud as it's later.

Well, this is another one of those unexpected gatherings that turned into an epic meet! We were looking for a place in Rye near the train station to meet the sommelier/manager of Crabtree Kittle House for an "outside of work" gathering. This fit the bill, especially given the deep wine list and chef's rep. So we grabbed three bar seats snd embarked on our journey! We ordered a couple of appetizers- burrata with peaches and a cheese board, plus an older light bodied Italian Barolo. Then chef Rafaele (of MSNBC and Chopped fame) popped over and after chatting for a few minutes went to the kitchen snd cooked up an amazingly delicious pizza that he thinks he'll add to the menu! Pics all around, full and happy! Great spot! Thanks Chef!

Obviously, you do seat two people at a four top. Just not us!

VERY DISAPPOINTING birthday dinner.treated unfairly and rushed. They care more about packing people in than pleasing the customer. I have never been here, so I decided to make a reservation for my birthday on Resy. I had an early reservation at 6:45 and I had asked for a table somewhere on the side in a quieter area. I had gotten multiple texts confirming the reservation, and even one 30 minutes prior. when I got there, the host said ,"I don't see it."hmm... he eventually found it, but obviously never read it. We were about to be seated right behind the host stand in the loudest possible area. I asked immediately if we could move somewhere else. The restaurant was pretty empty!(see pictures) The host would not allow us to sit anywhere unless it was a small table for two! There were only two of those available next to the pizza oven! One was actually by itself in the hallway that goes to the next room! So by default I had to take the other. We were in a high traffic area next to the kitchen. Ok, so we decided to make the best of it. We ordered our drinks and then wanted to order our appetizers. We had decided upon the crispy artichoke hearts and a margarita pizza for our apps. The waitress told us we cannot order the apps unless we order the entrées at the same time. We didn't know what we wanted to have yet, and wanted to take our time figuring as we ate our appetizers. Part of the fun in going out for dinner is taking your time oerusing the menu and deciding what you might want next. Not possible here. We were feeling extremely rushed. We ordered the zuppe di pesce and the rigatoni Bolognese for our entrées. I was so excited to try the crispy artichokes, but they were sharp, dry and pretty INEDIBLE! My husband commented on how dangerous it was to even try to eat these without choking. The pizza was good and entrees were fine. As the restaurant got busier, my chair kept getting bumped from behind by waiters bringing out food. I did, however, see 2 people sitting at a table for four by the Wine cellar and two people seated at a four top by the bar! Obviously, they do seat parties of two at four tops.! (See pictures attached.) Not nice! This is not the birthday dinner that I dreamed about. We decided to pass on another round or 2 of drinks and dessert. We didn't want to be rushed and we ended up going down the street to another restaurant for drinks and dessert. It's a shame they treat some people better than others.

I have a love for Italian places, and this restaurant is another to add to my list. The atmosphere of this restaurant is lovely with a family feeling to it. As for dishes, I order the Pappardelle Bolognese and a portion of the special of the day. I do not remember the dish's name, but it had spinach, white fish, and a creamy texture. The pasta was delicious and filling with the creamy sauce and perfect amount of cheese. For dessert, I had vanilla ice cream to seal and cleanse my palette. The wines are good here as well. As for service, the staff were attentive and ensured your needs were met during the lunch hour. I have been to this restaurant with a group of 3 (including myself). We were served quickly under 5 minutes during the lunch hour.

    Chicken Milanese

I dined here last night with my husband. Food was excellent and service was very attentive. We started with the artichoke app and also the Arancini, both excellent. They also give all tables complimentary eggplant caponata with both fresh toasted bread & focaccia- sooo good! My husband and I both shared the amatriciana and the chicken Milanese- very good!! We will definitely return! In addition, I have to mention how honest the staff is. I left my purse there by accident and called the next day. It was returned to me with my full wallet untouched. I've never forgotten my purse before and was so appreciative to get it back!!

First time at Sergio's, and it was a lively and enjoyable experience…read more The restaurant has a beautiful dining space and a very energetic dinner and bar crowd, with plenty of staff attending to tables. They also offer an enclosed atrium area, which seemed like a quieter option--but the heat was a bit too high for us, so we chose to sit inside. It was quite loud, so next time I would try the atrium area near the entrance for a more comfortable noise level. One of the highlights right away was the complimentary antipasto: a nice plate of mixed cheeses, olives, and sliced salami, along with a basket of bread. The thin, crispy salted bread was seriously addictive--so good! Paired well with our Aperol Spritz. We started by splitting the fried zucchini flower blossoms stuffed with ricotta, served over tomato sauce. You get two per order; they were good. For entrées, my friend ordered the Pollo Fino--strips of chicken breast topped with asparagus, shrimp, and mushrooms in a white wine citrus sauce. It came with four jumbo shrimp, and she said it was incredibly good. I had the Pappardelle alla Boschiola with prosciutto di Parma and green peas in a pink sauce. It was a generous portion and very tasty. I later noticed the menu included mushrooms, which didn't seem to be in my dish, but I did not catch it at the time. We finished by sharing the Napoleon dessert--my friend had raved about it. The flavor was good, and our server nicely split it for us, but the pastry layers were quite crunchy, making it challenging to eat. Overall, a fun atmosphere with tasty food. They have a big parking lot offering valet service.

I usually just go with the flow if people pick it. So, I was PLEASANTLY surprised when everything was INSANE. We ordered so much food because I needed to try as much as possible. Caesar Salad: huge leaves, delightful dressing, tangy lemon sets it off, light, crunchy croutons Arancini: incredible balls of rice that were fried to perfection, topped with cheese, on a bed of cheese sauce? Divine Burrata: solid piece of toast, nice lighter dish Focaccia: SOFT. BUTTERY. The Calabrian chili butter was sweet but spicy, the whipped ricotta was a nice lighter option Meatballs: OMG, the crispiest meatballs I've had even though it was topped with sauce, so juicy and flavorful. Gimme 16 of these. Potato Croquettes: on their own they were good but the sauce they were in made them GREAT. Chicken cutlet: THIN. CRISPY. HUGE. had flaky salt on time. The perfect cutlet. Rigatoni: Al dente, classic pasta dish The place was dark and moody - perfect for a date night. The service was fast. Our waiter was amazing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The sauce reminded me of my favorite dish from when I was in Italy. The pasta also tasted like it was homemade. I would eat the pasta everyday, it was that good! The portion sizes were also great. Definitely recommend for your next date night.

We…read morewent for the prix fixe lunch special, which is an incredible value at $24.95 for two courses, including your choice of a glass of house wine or soda. (offered Monday through Saturday. ) There were so many appealing options for both starters and entrées that it was hard to choose! The meal started with a basket of warm, crusty bread along with another type of bread stick that was absolutely delicious -- almost like a shorter, crispier breadstick with a unique shape and texture. For my starter, I had the fresh mozzarella plated with a slice of tomato, balsamic glaze, and two nicely roasted red peppers on top. It was fresh, flavorful, and very well prepared. My entrée choice was the Chicken Scarpariello, served in a delicious sauce with sausage, fresh broccoli, and creamy whipped potatoes. The portions were generous and everything tasted well made and thoughtfully prepared. The prix fixe special also included a choice of house wine, with Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio offered for white wine selections, along with a house red wine option, or soda instead. The wine pour was generous and a very nice addition to the meal. My friend enjoyed the Caesar salad and Penne alla Vodka, and again, the portion was generous and she said very good. What really made the experience extra special was the hospitality. When I asked if we were celebrating anything, I just slightly mentioned that it had been my friend's birthday at the beginning of the week. The waiter brought out a lovely slice of complimentary lime cheesecake for dessert. It was delicious and such a thoughtful touch with a lighted candle. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself is beautiful inside with a very pretty dining room, downstairs catering space for events, happy hour Monday through Saturday from 3:30-6:30, and a large free on-site parking lot, which is such a convenience. And I have to mention the bathrooms because they were honestly gorgeous -- spotless, elegant, and very thoughtfully designed. The sink basins looked imported with a beautiful embossed botanical pattern that really stood out. It's rare to notice restaurant bathrooms in such a positive way, but these were exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. I would absolutely recommend George's Italian Seafood & Steakhouse to anyone looking for delicious food, generous portions, excellent service, and a warm welcoming atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to returning!

A1 staff, A1 service. Now let's get to the food. We started the night the right way with grilled shrimp and French onion soup both crazy. And if there's a ribeye on the menu, I'm ordering it every time. This one did not disappoint: perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, with the best fucking sear I've had in a minute. For sides, I went with the home fries cooked in duck fat with chives. The fries were so good I wanted to attend the funeral of whatever duck they used, out of pure respect. Can't wait to go back and work through the rest of the menu. No complaints. Zero misses.
