Our family loves Rad's - super kid-friendly from the paper they use to cover the tables and buckets of crayons to draw on said paper table covering to the great and affordable kids menu options. I've truly never had anything less than good here and usually go with the standard classic breakfast (2 eggs, breakfast meat, etc) or build my own omelet. My husband has branched out a bit more and has enjoyed the breakfast burrito when available (they usually have some great specials!). Just finished up a late lunch here. The. Chicken. Salad. Wrap. Their chicken salad on the wrap is served warm and clearly full of fresh ingredients. Excited for these owners. Friendly new breakfast spot for my husband and I. We enjoyed the black bean quesadilla (special) and the reuben sandwich. Both were yummy! Husband commented the reuben could have a little more meat added but was still very tasty. I really enjoyed the quesadilla with the arugula. Loved the taste! The homemade pico was excellent. We each had the coffee and appreciated the serve yourself coffee bar. Service was wonderful! We will be back often. And I plan to enjoy a girlfriends outing there soon. Ok So, I feel very qualified to write up a review on this Restaurant as I have been now a dozen times or so and have sampled their many of their breakfast, lunch and bakery items. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. Chef Josh , Steve, Dillon and co go out of their way to make your experience friendly, personable and delicious. I have not even had an average meal. Every item has been top shelf. I have ordered 4 pies from them since Thanksgiving and WOW. Do not miss the best Pumpkin pie in Indiana. Their coffee is fabulous and is locally sourced. I travel a lot for work and have dined at a lot of unique and great spots, so lousy and so so one too, and in my humble opinion Rad's is one of the best in terms of quality and in terms of service. When we arrived we only had to wait about 5-10 minutes, which was surprising because of how busy it was. This place is super kid friendly! The tables are covered in paper and they supply you with a tin full of the twistable color pencils! This was so nice to have to entertain my almost 3 year old while we waited for our food. The tables are a little cramped together so you sit super close to the people next to you, but that isn't always a bad thing. I ordered the BLT while the rest of our table opted for pancakes. All of us loved the food & although i'm not sure what dressing was used on my greens, it was delicious. The price point is about $10-$13 a meal but the portions are big so it's worth the money. They also have a self serve coffee bar which was super nice as we love our coffee! It was nice to refill whenever needed & we even took one to go in their togo cups. Very good. I had no idea this place existed, and right up the street from me at the old Patachou's location. I found this when I was googling breakfast places, because breakfast food is the best thing about Weekends! I went with my boyfriend. We got there and the line seemed really big (expected with the church crowd). I put our name in and they told us 30-45 minutes so we got coffee and waited (p.s our main decision factor for breakfast places is hash browns). We were sat in, probably, 5-10 minutes. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast special, breakfast tacos. He loved them. Three of them were served; each piled high with chorizo, goat cheese, and pico de gallo. His favorite: he actually said he thinks that was the best chorizo he had ever had. His con: the tortillas were way too small compared to all the stuff on top I ordered the special 3 egg omelet with goat cheese, tomatoes, spinach, and turkey sausage. My biggest pro: huge, filling, and the goat cheese was perfectly creamy (you know how goat cheese is hit or miss? This was not one of those misses). My con: The omelet was a little runny and there was not enough goat cheese compared to the other ingrediants We both got hashbrowns and coffee. The house blend is delicious. I got the flavored to go and its a little watery so I rec sticking to the house. Personally, we both LOVED the hashbrowns. If you are reading this, I am sure that you have already read that they are baked in a muffin shape. This does leave the outside perfectly crispy. Contrary to another reviewed, we did not think they were too mushy on the inside at all. They were perfectly shredded and each strand was still well-formed. You know how some hashbrowns are greasy on the inside? This was not the case. We both left full, but not overly stuffed, and feeling like we ate a pretty healthy breakfast without that gross greasy food feeling. Highly recommend and will definitely be back Oh! The service is great too. They take your order on ipads. Then you pay at your table directly with the waitress using her ipad. A delicious find! Family run business, we like to eat in locally owned places. The food was fantastic! My husband had steel cut oatmeal, I had pancakes with ham, and our grandson had confetti pancakes and bacon. The service was exceptional, super friendly! We were excited to try something new for breakfast/brunch today. We walked in around noon, not sure what to do. The guy behind the counter stared at us, while a server came to the edge of the counter and let us know to sit anywhere. Our server was quick to greet us, provide menus, and discuss the coffee was self-serve. She discussed the three available options of coffee. The server was the only reason this place even got two stars. The house blend was not at it's freshest point of the day. Slightly bitter and burnt tasting. They did provide almond milk and half/half for the coffee. No spoons at the counter or at our place setting for stirring. This is an easy detail of accommodation. We ordered our food, with a special request. I.e. well done turkey sausage. It came out promptly and hot. The banana with my oats was fresh and the oats were delicious. The other person in my party ordered scrambled eggs that were undercooked and mushy, which is never good unless requested. The turkey sausage was not well done, at all and had a funky taste. The hashbrown muffin tin molded thing was salty and stale. Hash browns are so easy to cook fresh, too. With all the breakfast/brunch options available, and this being owned by a chef, we expected so much more. This really missed the mark for us today. read more

We love this place for breakfast. Excellent food, excellent service, and very kid friendly. It's small, so we usually go right at opening to beat the crowds. It is definitely our usual breakfast place. The food is fantastic. We've pretty much loved everything we've tried. The grilled cheese and tomato basil soup is absolutely spectacular; the best grilled cheese we've ever had. The avocado toast is a definite favorite, and we're also a big fan of the breakfast burrito special. The simple kids meal options are perfect. Our daughter also loves this place. The staff are all friendly (but not overbearingly so; we're introverts!) and we enjoy drawing on the paper "tablecloth". Hands down our favorite breakfast place in Carmel. We took a crew here today for an after soccer party for my daughter's team. They handled our crazy crew of kids an adults with ease. The kids all ate everything on their plates. That never happens! Their Mac N Cheese was homemade... some other local restaurants could take a page from this book. My BLT with goat cheese spread was yummy and the raspberry iced tea hit the spot on this hot day. My husband loved the cream of asparagus soup, yep he gets soup on a 90 degree day. We will definitely be back and bring more friends with us! Oh and the cinnamon roles in the glass case took a lot of will power not to purchase for an afternoon snack. I don't think I will be able to resist next time.
