Great little locally owned breakfast and lunch diner. They need some vegetarian options; most everything has chicken on it except the obligatory avocado on toast. Yet the food is really good. I've tried the southwest salad, which had nice fresh greens, and the breakfast burrito with a wonderful cilantro flavor. They've got a nice little outdoor seating area and a cute indoor seating area, too. I've been there about three times and first had the fish tacos which were delicious, moist but not a runny/watery sauce often found on fish tacos. 1 Waiting patiently for them to get a liquor license... It's a little local gem at 126th and Gray Road. I recommend it if you're there when they're open. read more

This was my second time at Rads and I will be back many times!! The service is great, atmosphere is thoughtful designed, the self service coffee is great and the food has always been delish. My dad got the biscuits and gravy with the pork sausage and it was so good. The hash browns are one of my favorites. Today I got the avocado toast with has chorizo (great level of spicy ness), an over medium egg, pico and a side of greens. And of course, I had to get a side of bacon. Cooked to perfection!!! Everyone calls me Rad, so it was pretty natural for me to check this place out. I got the French toast, with fruit, and hashbrowns and my spouse got pancakes, bacon, and hashbrowns. I don't know why I had so much reservation about this place before. Now I wish I had added this place to my go-to place earlier. We came here twice already in the last month. It's a small place, but the constant stream of customers make it feel quite cozy. I don't have much to complain about the level of service: staff is friendly and efficient and food came out quickly. I enjoyed their avocado toast and 2 eggs & sausage breakfast. The unique hashbrown (shredded potato baked in muffin shape) is a nice touch. We went to Rad's for Sunday brunch. I ordered a cinnamon raisin biscuit to share because it looked delicious. All of the pastries in the case looked tasty and at $2.50 they certainly are worth the price based upon the one that I tried. They have a regular, decaf, and flavored coffee for self service that's very hot, which isn't always the case with self serve coffee. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which comes with hash browns and eggs. I am not one who's impressed with hash browns and I could easily have done without them. My friend ordered the corned beef hash which was flavorful and studded with bell peppers and onions - nothing is worse than a hash that's just potato and meat. The challah toast that came with his meal was delightful, as well. Everyone was friendly, the restrooms were impeccably clean, service was prompt, and the dining room was neat. You can't ask for much more from a brunch spot. read more

The staff was very friendly, and didn't make us feel silly for not knowing what to do with it being our first time there. We were seated right away, had some very nice coffee and a great brunch. The food was delicious, highly recommend the 3 egg omelet (I got mine with cheddar, pork sausage, tomato, and spinach). The biscuits and gravy were delicious, fluffy while still being crisp, and the rye bread was great too. First visit and we will be going back. New to us, and only open six weeks, this place has the feel that it has been around forever. After working a long night shift - the bright, SUPER CLEAN, yet contemporary atmosphere perked me up and put me in an instant good mood (the music choices also helped here). I ordered corned beef hash with soft poached eggs. My eggs were perfectly done and how I requested. The hash was different that your "greasy spoon" hash breakfast. Made from scratch, shredded potatoes with crispy and soft edges are mixed with a hint of colored peppers and onion and a lean, quality chopped (not shredded) corned beef with my perfect eggs on top! Served with bread of choice (I choose challah), it was fresh and crisp. I was asked if I wanted jam - and quickly served a clearly homemade berry jam that was delicious. I appreciate when a restaurant asks if condiments are wanted rather than assuming - thus cutting down on waste. My husband had biscuits and gravy with eggs, and hash browns. You have multiple gravy choices - we choose the pork belly (holy yum!) it had a unique flavor which will be bringing my husband back for more. The hash browns were golden crisp on the outside/soft inside. I'm not going to lie, portion sizes are not for the glutenous. This is quality, scratch made food, with a perfect portion. I could have eaten more - because the food was so good, but left feeling content and satisfied. We also split a housemade biscuit with cinnamon, raisins, and a nice glaze. Lastly - their coffee was perfectly brewed! Offering a simple, self serve coffee bar, I opted for the flavor of the day (snickerdoodle coffee). FYI, I love the self serve option, however your server will get you whatever you please if you prefer not to leave your seat! We will be frequenting this place. Really cute little, local breakfast nook tucked away in Carmel. We weren't really sure where they were but once we found it, we were not disappointed! Nice atmosphere, nice decor and setup. We love everything about Rad's. The employees and owner are wonderful and welcoming (they remembered us when we came in on our third visit). The space is cozy and comfortable. Self-serve coffee (no waiting for refills!) is such a plus. The food is great! From the "hello" wave shown all the way from the kitchen to me as I walked through the front door, to the "be sure to top off that cup of Grogg" on the way out, I loved my experience at Rad's. Named after the owner's' grandfather, this diner is simple, inviting and flat out good. My youngest had the french toast while I enjoyed an omelette with sausage, bacon, and jalapeño with cheddar.
