5.0 / 5.0 The best bakery in NYC‼ They are famous for their focaccia, but everything they serve is delicious! It's always crowded--on weekdays and weekends alike--but the line moves surprisingly fast; you can usually get your food in about 20 minutes. They offer a breakfast menu until around 10:30 AM, after which they switch to the lunch menu. The menu also changes seasonally, so there's always something new to enjoy. The shop itself is small with limited indoor seating, though there are a few seats available outside. Grabbing your food to go--to enjoy in a nearby park or back at home--is a great option. The staff are also very courteous. If you're visiting New York, this is definitely a bakery you should check out!

Always crowded
Matthew N.

A very good, very crowded, very Brooklyn type of bakery. The savory sandwiches were like WHOA. Full of flavor and crispy outside/soft inside bread. Loved it. The sweets were good too, although the sandwiches were more memorable. The main down side was waiting for 15 minutes to get through the crowd to be served. It's good, and it shows.

Salmon focaccia

Does everything at an A- level but based on expectations, there was no "best I've ever had" single item. The pistachio croissant was great (prob in my top 5). Salmon focaccia a tad bit salty. Overall a good experience.

I came around 2pm on a rainy Sunday and only waited about 10 mins. Most of the sweets were already sold out, so I tried the pistachio croissant and a salted chocolate chip cookie. Unfortunately, both of them were too sweet for me. If I were to pass by again, I would try some of their savory items.

Croissants: 5/5 triple chocolate $8- so flaky but so good, dark chocolatey, wish there was more chocolate in it 4/5 pistachio $8- really good, not disgustingly sweet altho I can do a bit less sweet in the cream, crunchy, flaky, powdery sweet 4/5 scallion sesame twist $6.5- yum, love anything w/ scallion &/or sesame, well balanced flavors, not too salty 4/5 sandwiches- focaccia is so good, tastes like pizza bread, wanted smoked salmon but they were out of, wish they had halal or more non-pork options, wanna try some of the tomato ones next time 3/5 stone fruit & custard $8- where's the custard? Strawberry? is glazed in super sweet syrup, wish it was less sweet 3/5 cheesy pretzel bearclaw $6.5- cheese too salty, wuda been great otherwise 3/5 iced peach tea $4.50- unsweetened, wuda been great w/ a bit of sweetener but decent otherwise

Food/drinks: sooo good! Unique flavors and everything we ordered was a hit. I'd come again for the savory croissants and their sandwiches!! Huge portions as well! I wouldn't wait in a long line for it though Also very unique, flavorful chocolate croissant, it is heavy heavy on the chocolate Atmosphere: tiny and cramped and usually a line, good for to go and has 4 bar seats and a few small tables outside Service: fast! Usually a line but I got lucky Price: pricey but worth it for size and quality

Sesame scallion twist

Good lord the line for this took me out. It doesn't move that fast either but this is so worth it. Got the sesame scallion twist and it was so flaky, buttery and had a slight tang to it. Then the early gray morning bun is quite literally tea in a bun. Soft, rips apart and has a slight crunch to it.

Tomato croissant

Line moves fast, smaller variety of pastries ranging $6-8 but all gorgeous and tempting + Tomato croissant: super flaky crust with egg custard like middle and juicy tomato slice on top (8.5/10) + Blueberry corn croissant: glistening blueberries on top, flaky crust, custard filling. Sweet flavor air bomb (7.5/10) + Corn focaccia ($6): heard good things about their focaccia, middle was softer / wetter from the cheese and corn. Edges were crispy (7.9/10)

Adhrit S.

Had the Corn Cake which was delicious. Perfectly moist with a sugar crust on the top. I also got the cheese bear claw and stone fruit pastry. Those were certainly beautifully made, but were not my personal favorites. They were good though. Quick service. But they run out quick. Get there early!

brown butter corn cake & earl grey morning bun
Kathy D.

brown butter corn cake had a crispy outer layer but the center was really soft. stronger taste of the brown butter compared to corn so it does start to feel sweet after a few bites. the earl grey morning bun was super flakey with a light early grey taste which I think is perfect if you want something light and airy for breakfast. in terms of taste, I preferred the brown butter corn cake. they only have a handful of options. there was a line, mainly bc it's a small store but it moved really fast. their focaccia sandwich also looked really good

artichoke green garlic slice

Dropped by Radio Bakery on the Tuesday morning after Memorial Day and the lines weren't too crazy. I got there in time to grab some breakfast items and baked goods, and then waited at a table outside for the lunch items to get set out around 11AM. I'm usually more of a savory girlie but all the sweet items we tried were great, especially the rhubarb croissant and the earl grey morning bun. I really enjoyed the focaccia sandwiches (smoked salmon and pea/mint/feta were elite) and the artichoke green garlic slice. The flavor of the sesame stirato was excellent but the bread itself was a tad too chewy for the filling we got with it (tuna salad), so that style probably works better with the jambon beurre. Will definitely be on the rotation whenever I'm in the city -- would love to try some of their seasonal/limited edition items one day, though not sure if I have it in me to brave the lines that can form on the weekends, lol! We'll see :)

Ambiance: wow the line is so long but worth the wait Service: good service and fast Food $$: I got so many pastries but the highlight was the mango lassi Audience: Solo Trip [X] Family Friendly [ X] Friends [X] Date Spot [X] Recommendations/tips: it is expensive but you got to buy a lot when you wait an hour or two in line and it is v fresh

Foccacia
Ruby C.

Radio Bakery is probably the only bakery I'll happily wait in line for again and again. It's also the kind of place where you can pick anything with your eyes closed and know it'll be good. We arrived at 9:45 and got the pastries at 10:30. The wait was longer because we had to wait for the specials to come out from the oven, otherwise we could've just skipped the line and ordered directly at the counter. *Mango Lassi Croissant $15 Simply amazing. Ngl a $15 croissant should be illegal...but I went speechless after the first bite. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY I am not even a huge mango lover like anybody does, but WOW this mango croissant was seriously the BEST mango pastry EVER. The pastry shell held flaky and crunchy, and the center was filled with a labneh cheesecake and mango gelee. We were surprised the filling wasn't liquid-y at all and held up well! We also tried the new Artichoke and Green Garlic Foccacia ($9), and the Fennel and Sausage Foccacia ($9). I get their foccacia slice every time I'm here and they never let me down. So pillowy and delicious.

It's a very small shop with just a few seats, a menu that's kind of hidden above to the right and a hand written menu (with specials for the day) on their drink fridge. I stuck with my gut and got the spicy vodka rigatoni (includes ground pork in the sauce) and fried chicken cutlet on the side with a drink and chips, the chips were free since it was between their lunch special time (12-2pm). The worker that helped me was very informative and answered every single question I had. I waited no more than 5-10 minutes for my food, it was piping hot and FRESH... everything was perfectly made. I really couldn't stop eating it. The fried cutlet was cooked just right and the pasta was an al dente texture to be appreciated. I've also never had a Spellegrino before, it definitely complimented my meal. I will be returning to try something else (or maybe the same thing lol) when I'm around that area sooner rather than later. Pasta: 10/10 Fried chicken cutlet: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Pricing: Fair

So so chewy your jaw will have to get to work; i can see how some ppl wouldn't like it bc it's too chewy and dense but i loved it rating: 4/5 - if i take into consideration of the whole menu, this would probably be 3/5 but since i always just get the scallion pancake and pastries, and they have consistently been delectable, it's a solid 4! - i just love the texture and flavor a lot especially the xia - the ambiance is super hippie and chill; it's a perfect spot for breakfast and quick bites; they also got this bar section with a tv playing old school films giving retro vibes - their pastries were all delicious with some unique selection - service has consistently been amazing; workers there were all happy and chill vibes - definitely give it a try but start from the xia and pastries for sure IG: @nom.noms.only
