Went here with a group of friends to enjoy a coffee and catch up.  I had their cafe meil with almond milk- which is espresso with honey and cinnamon.  It was amazing!! One of the best lattes I've ever had. Very chill atmosphere, both lots of table seating as well as couches for lounging and chatting with friends. It's very cozy with lots of cool latte options as well as herbal teas and snacks. The decor and overall aesthetic is very urban and appealing and I loved that. The barista was very sweet. But the coffees my friends and I ordered (me:cold brew, my friends: cappuccinos) were just not good. I'm normally a black/or light soy cold brew drinker and I added simple syrup to this and still ended up tossing it 5 sips in. The coffee was super acidic and almost sour, left a bad taste in my mouth. Highly unusual for cold brew. It could have just been an off day, the cold brew may have been off or older but it was just not good and my friends and I couldn't finish our coffees as even the espresso was sour tasting. That being said, I would give them another chance! I loved that they gave me my to go cold brew with a strawless sip lid! And the cafe itself is very cozy and inviting. read more

It's very hipster-it would fit right in as a coffee shape in wicker park or Logan square in Chicago. Expect a lot if beards and plaid. Rabble is a hub of activity on the Near Eastside. If you live on the Near Eastside or work in a community development-related field, you are bound to see folks you know upon walking in. Aside from having great drinks and food at very affordable prices, the social impact programs and initiatives hosted by Rabble do a lot for the community. They have had variations of pay it forward models where you can donate a little extra money at the time of sale to a future person's bill- accessible to needy folks who come in. They collected winter clothing items for distribution and recent classes on administering Naloxone in the situation of an overdose. They also host classes for Trade/Barter School Indy. Owner, Josie, is always giving her time to the community and finding ways to make her shop more of a resource for the community. Your purchase here impacts more than a small business doing its small business thing. Drinks: I've had a few cafe miels and matcha lattes here recently that were quite tasty! The pastry and tea selection, as well as refrigerated juice selection has increased over the last year. This is a simple, humble place in some ways, so if you're looking for a posh coffee shop that had a big budget for furniture and trendy decor, this is not it. My only negative comment on the shop is that I've found the main male barista kind of gruff on several occasions and it's a little odd. This is a super cute coffee shop. It's quaint, it's intimate and it's eclectic. I've been here twice now and the times I have gone, I've felt at peace. Last night I went to this event just to check it out for a second Rabble hosted called "Queers in Spaces." It was a lovely concept and I think it's great that this little coffee shop on 10th Street is hosting an event like that. Within the shop they have artwork hanging on the walls you can buy, they have reusable mugs for those staying for more than one cup of coffee and they also have a really cool back room with a couch you can just chill on while enjoying your cup of coffee. This place has a nice balance of feeling of something new and fresh without being pretentious. The employees are very nice too. This guy Justin that works there is really great with some of the neighborhood kids that come around in the coffee shop too. It was interesting seeing them come in there and he was just having general conversation and giving them words of wisdom for great things they can accomplish in their young lives. I think in general that's what I'm loving about this coffee shop. They really care about their community and getting average people involved. read more

I drive past this place several times a week and finally decided to stop in (after having seen my leasing agent leaving the coffee shop one morning last week). Stepping into the cafe, it felt warm and welcoming. You could tell the patrons were all regulars. I came in with my two daughters and could tell that my order was larger than the barista was used to, but she took good care of us. The caramel macchiato was delicious and so was the grilled turkey and swiss sandwich. We were not big fans of the quiche (two varieties; bacon & cheddar and spinach, feta, and roasted red pepper), which lacked flavor; a little salt and pepper goes a long way! Don't get me wrong. I liked Tin Comet. It was sweet and kind. But I really like Rabble Coffee, and I'm excited to see it making a foothold along 10th street. Rabble's got a very urban space considering it's wedged in a bit of a twain. Long and narrow with a melange of art, board game, outlets, and books, the space is great for almost any coffeeshoppery activities, whether it's cranking out work, reading a novel, or meeting up with pals. There's a lot of seating -- perhaps a bit too much on my visits -- and the coffee itself is solid. It certainly helps that Tinker Coffee is collaborating, as the roasts in town are slowly but surely upping their game. Rabble Coffee feels like a place that can last and bring others up with it. Brighter more open spot - more sleek - than the former occupant Tin Comet. The coffee is great! . Tinker Coffee is roasting their beans, and I think they are getting decaf from Bee. Can't go wrong with either. Had a delicious brownie to accompany our java. Prices are comparable, and our barista was very pleasant. Quiche on the menu sounded appealing, so definitely all good reasons to make some more stops at Rabble. read more

Great espresso, not expresso. We met someone here to sell a motorcycle. Had a cup of espresso, bagel, chai latte and danish. The chai was very tasty, much more spice flavor than others we have tasted. Liked it a lot. The espresso very good. Baked goods ok. Nice little neighborhood coffee place. If I lived near here it would be a regular stop! A bit off 70 for a quick stop, it would be a nice break for our regular trips to a Greenfield. This place has become one of my favorite spots in Indianapolis. Along with Love Handle and Pogue's Run Grocer, Rabble Coffee is a gem in the otherwise overlooked, yet vibrant Near East Side. The coffee is great, atmosphere is chill, and shop momma Josie will become your friend as soon as you walk through the door. A hidden gem! Well it's not really hidden... but it is a gem. Their sign out front advertising a dirty Frye caught my eye and I am glad it did! My sister and I stopped in for a cup of joe and were both surprised by the tasty coffee combination available. I of course ordered the dirty Frye (espresso, chai, honey) - highly recommended! I have had the opportunity of having rabble coffee before, but today I specifically had the Americano with almond milk and the spinach and feta quiche. There was a large roasted red pepper on top and it was slightly baked into the quiche. It was a good size for the price. I paid around $6.75 for a medium americano and quiche. I loved the flaky crust and the big pieces of spinach and feta. I personally just like when you can taste the ingredients and not when it's ground into the egg base. This is a really good place to get some work done and grab a light lunch! read more

Yes! I love it. I was looking for some coffee ro get me through the last 10hr stretch of a cross country drive and found Rabble. Even though it was a little off the interstate, it was one of the only places I saw that wasn't completely white-washed and hipstered out. Nothing disappointed. The barista was awesome and super friendly. My iced mocha was on point and they have 3 sizes of cups instead of 1 for a million dollars that you finish in 3 seconds. Their large comes with 3 shots and I got an extra. Ordered the veggie quiche too and it jad just come out of the oven. It tasted great and extra bonus points for also having sriracha in addition to the average watery franks and tapatio. Since I moved to the neighborhood a couple months ago, this place has been one I've wanted to check out and today was finally that day. I am so glad I went, and so annoyed at myself for waiting so long! My friend and I tried the turmeric latter and the maple latte. Both delicious! This place is okay! Not bad, but definitely not my favorite place in Indianapolis to grab a coffee/sit down to study. I like to get a mocha every new place I go so that I can compare, and this one was a pretty average mocha; nothing too special. Rabble does have lots of options to grab a bite, which I love! I got the bacon cheddar quiche, which was decent. The crust was somewhat dry. They have lots of vegan options, which is an advantage if you are someone who is vegan/likes vegan options. They have all of the general choices for a coffee, and numerous teas. There is a serious lack of seating, though. I came to study, and there are about 6 or 7 small tables, all of which were full. There are numerous chairs and couches to occupy however. I could see myself coming back, but not a first choice! read more

Awesome place. It was obvious that they work to be a positive presence in the community. Serves locally roasted coffee. Female owned. Has a pay it forward system where you buy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate in advance for someone that can't pay. I've seen this system in other coffee shops, but at Rabble Coffee it was utilized in a way I've never seen before. Many people experiencing homelessness came in for hot drinks and were welcome to stay. This is a business worth supporting. Francis was a great barista. I could tell they had great relationships with the patrons and they were incredibly respectful to the patrons experiencing homelessness. On top of that they made a kickass latte. read more

Loved my experience at Rabble. I actually liked Tin Comet when it was in this spot, but Rabble did a super nice makeover of the place. It feels clean and comfortable while still retaining the charm retro-vibe of the neighborhood. I had the cafe miel (iced with soy) and it's fantastic. I don't usually go in for flavored drinks, but this one is great. The only cons with this place are parking is difficult and it's really a sit-down and stay awhile type place. Getting a coffee before work with only one-barista on staff can be difficult. read more
