Hojicha Coconut Latte
Jacqueline J.

Stopped by QYN Coffee the other day and tried their Hojicha Coconut Latte The staff was friendly, the interior was clean, and there's seating available. I'm a huge coconut lover, so I loved that the coconut flavor really came through! I'd never tried hojicha before, but I really enjoyed it. My only complaint is that the drink had a ton of ice. Overall, a great first experience, and I'd come back to try more drinks!

Perfect study spot, it's a bit small but has plenty of charging ports and wifi. The service was straight to the point, no impression made but the coffee makes up for it! Coffee was strong and sweet enough- definitely recommend. side note: it gets packed pretty quickly so try to get there before everyone gets out of classes

I'm glad others have had a great experience here. Unfortunately, mine was disappointing, both in the service and the coffee. I went out of my way to visit and was deciding between two drinks, so I asked the employee at the counter for a recommendation. She stared at me without responding. When I repeated the question, she simply said, "Yeah," without answering it. I then had to explain a third time that I was asking which drink she would recommend. I understand that anyone can have an off day, but the lack of attention made a simple interaction unnecessarily frustrating. My order was also incorrect, and I had to point that out. Basic attentiveness and an accurate order should be reasonable expectations. As for the coffee, I didn't find it good. It was mediocre and unremarkable--nothing special and certainly not worth going out of my way for. A great drink might have softened the disappointment, but this one didn't. Between the disengaged service and the underwhelming coffee, I left disappointed and won't be returning.

We stopped by on the way to the OC Sand Sports Show as i've heard good things about it. I will say that the large menu is nice when you can't really decide but wow. The parking situation here sucks lol. Obviously they don't have any control over that but it definitely deters you a little unless you're coming early. I ordered the Tiramisu and the Coconut Viet Coffee and both were good and super strong. I definitely prefer the flavor of the coconut because it felt like something was missing. Other than that I mean the place was clean, nice and modern. The service was quick and casual but these places are a dime a dozen. Nice to try once but not sure if i'd be back just for the coffee or vibes.

Matchanana

I've been on a banana matcha obsession this summer so of course I had to try QYN's version. I conveniently and easily ordered the matchanana using their website. The shop is decorated very aesthetically and probably would be a good place to work out of. I also love the nod to Vietnam and coffee bean region with the wooden map on the wall. For my matcha, the only modification I made was to almond milk. The drink comes with pebble ice cubes similar to the volume. You would expect to get in a Vietnamese iced coffee. The matcha was on the sweeter side and included a dash of cinnamon and a dried banana slice on top. I'm excited to come back and try their pandan matcha and corn matcha.

What a lovely place with an absolutely extensive selection of delectable options to choose from. So hard to choose yet my first time was all about my favorite thing - peanut butter. My bff got vanilla. It's sweet but you can ask for 50% or whatever you like less sweet. The menu is huge and colorful, I mean colorful. Qyn coffee, such an adorable, clean and serene atmosphere with the ambiance of peace, calmness, and coffee chat vibes. Tables to sit and enjoy your latte. A few munchable treats to go with the menu. And the decor, I love the attention to detail of this shop. I loved my PB espresso and my veggie quiche - which was loaded with different vegetables and I thoroughly enjoyed it so much. Even the bathroom was nice lol. I will definitely be back and I wish you much success with your new business. The details are amazing and the menu looks great.

Parking is in a shared lot, we found some no issues. The indoors is very very cute with nice places to sit. Everything is incredibly clean and well taken care of. All the staff were so friendly. I got the hazelnut coffee & it was divine. Prices are normal for the area. Would definitely come back & recommend to anyone!

I was nearby at the sauna spot and saw this place having their soft opening! Upon seeing the menu, I knew I had to try it out. I got both the Coco Matcha Crema and the Biscoff Espresso, but I had my eyes on so many other ones that I want to try out next time! The coconut matcha tasted like my favorite Harmless Harvest coconut water mixed with matcha, which is exactly the combination you'd want. The biscoff coffee at first was pretty bland, but after mixing it with the cookie, the flavor finally popped out. Next time coming here, I'd probably get the Coconut Bac Xiu!

overall: if I'm in the area I'll be back. I love how clean inside is and the discount for first responders! drinks: I love the creativity of all the drinks and how many flavor options there is available. we got the pistachio hojicha latte (3.7/5) and the blueberry oat matcha (4/5). the pistachio flavor was good but I just wish the hojicha flavor was stronger bc it was a little hard to actually taste the hojicha. the cream top was creamy and thick. the blueberry oat matcha was pretty good and light but I also wish the matcha flavor was a little stronger. I have yet to try their coffee. service: staff were friendly but it did take a little while to get our drinks bc they were a little busy. inside: couple of tables inside and there were a couple of ppl inside studying. they do have a bathroom for customers as well. parking: they have a parking lot so parking was pretty easy to find when we went on a weekday late morning.

Hiep L.

We ordered their blueberry matcha, the blue looking hojicha (i forgot the name ), and their strawberry biscoff matcha: they all tasted great but ran a little sweet. The interior is super modern and looks stunning, I had a great experience here and would definitely come back.

Guava matcha

We stopped by after our sauna session next door because we had seen that this place was grand opening and wanted to check it out. The inside is really pretty, bright, and modern. It also seems like a nice place to bring your laptop and get some work done since my friend was doing some work while we were there. They're known for their Vietnamese coffee and matcha. I was going to order something else, but I saw them making the matcha with a bamboo whisk, so I changed my mind and got the guava matcha from the sign. It was really refreshing and not too sweet, which was perfect after the sauna. I also liked the tiny ice cubes because the drink didn't feel like it was mostly ice. The only thing I would suggest is putting the prices on the menu. I had to ask, and the matcha was $7. Overall, I really liked the drink and the atmosphere. I would come back and try their Vietnamese coffee next time!

The parking lot is small, could see it draw a crowd The shop itself is quaint, more calming than loud Raspberry oat matcha, I have wondered about before QYN Coffee, making it a reality, score There was no sign of artificial taste I had no regret, not a drip went to waste Crushed ice Love that, nice The menu variety is vast, I think Every day of the week, could try a different drink Pretty sure I'll be back again before I move away Add this to your "to try" list and have a nice day xoxo Op

Absolutely delicious bang for your buck Vietnamese coffee! Landed at SNA and this was our first stop. It was such a strong coffee but in the tastiest way! - Corn coffee: sounds odd but delicious if you like corn (which I love!) it balances out so well - Pandan oat matcha: you can actually taste the Pandan to matcha ratio! - ube coffee: hooooly strong! The ube does get lost a bit but you sure you get caffeine - egg coffee: classic you can't go wrong! - Ube hojicha: smooth and creamy! There's a few smaller tables with cafe music, it's a cute spot to hang out in! Our drinks came out quickly and it's been so busy since we came to sit! Definitely will come back

The space feels like a beautiful greenhouse oasis, a thoughtfully designed environment that creates a sense of serenity whether you choose to sit indoors or outside. The staff are equally welcoming and friendly, which adds to the overall charm and warmth of this coffee roaster. With a full page beverage and food menu, MoonGoat is much more than just a place for coffee. They offer a nice variety of food as well. I only wish their selection of desserts and sweets were a bit more expansive and appealing. We ordered the iced Marsala coffee and a latte. The beans were perfectly roasted, delivering a wonderful depth and richness to both drinks. Each cup was smooth, flavorful and thoroughlly enjoyable. We also tried the gluten free pecan cake. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet which allowed the flavorrs to come through naturally. The cake itself was slightly plain, but the generous pecan/toffee topping added the richness and texture it needed and made each bite much more satisfying. I could easily sit here for hours, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and the thoughtfully designed space. It's the kind of coffee shop where you want to slow down, linger and simply enjoy the moment.

The Moon Coffee is a really cute cafe that is decorated head to toe in cutesy stuff. Jellycats, knickknacks, and most importantly, great seating. I strolled in, as I always do, to get my flavor-of-the-week matcha. This particular day, it was a strawberry pistachio matcha. It's always consistently good. Great sweetness, good milk, and perfectly balanced between bitter and grassy. I'm very happy to have a matcha spot in this part of Costa Mesa. Now, that being said, what prompted my review was actually looking at their retail shelf. There was coffee from Loquat, DAK, and Tanat just to name a few. Heavy hitters in the specialty space for sure. I had mentioned to the barista behind the counter whether they are hard-focused on supplying great pourovers or espresso. She said they didn't really use those coffees on the shelf in the store itself, but offered me a doubleshot as a sample! I was so grateful, and it was a very nice interaction to have with someone. I ordered the banana hojicha latte with regular milk. It was decently good. I love how they use real banana, it always enhances the flavor by a lot. I do wish the hojicha was a bit stronger, but that is my personal preference. I'm not sure if it was diluted by regular milk and would have stood out more with alternative choices. I do think the drinks here are on the more expensive side, so I don't think I would come here as frequently. They do have a good amount of seating and free WiFi to catch up with friends or get work done.

I've literally tried 3 separate times and been told they simply ran out of tomatoes. If it's that inconsistent, I'd hope they'd take it off their menu and post it as a special.
