This is a great location I've been here several times and have tried a few different milk tea options. There are a lot of mixed reviews for this place and that's because the fact of the matter is there are options that people won't enjoy and some people will. It's all about your tastes and what you prefer. I personally like the ying yang milk tea with a green tea base as it is a delicious tasting coffee/tea. Anything peach or mango flavor is amazing! You can do the peach slush with mango popping stars or even just a simple mango milk tea (my go to). The staff is always super friendly, the place is spotless and looks super cool. So overall it's a cool place to chill for a few and get yourself a drink with some friends. read more

I'd give this place a 3.5, honestly. But I'm so glad a boba place has opened in Durham!! We ordered a hokkaido boba, lychee boba and the fried tofu. As for the boba itself, i was unfortunately unable to taste the standard honey/tapioca boba which I love as they had just run out of it and I didn't want to wait a half hour for it. So we had crystal boba and strawberry pops boba. The popping boba was good - about on par with other places I've had it at. The crystal boba left me craving the tapioca boba because I love the texture of normal boba and the Crystal boba was more like jelly. The fried tofu was wonderful - with their chili powder seasoning. The manager was friendly and service prompt. The space is relaxed and causal. Some tall tables if I wanted to spend some time there. They also have ramen and hello panda snacks to munch on. A good snack spot, I'd say. In all, it would be a straight up 4 stars if it was priced a bit cheaper. In any case though i enjoyed it enough to go back there soon. I visited this Quickly during their soft opening (until 11/30) where they have a limited menu but the teas are only $2.50! PROS: * extremely friendly staff, owner is kind hearted and passionate about her business! * popcorn chicken samples were REALLY good * boba : tea ratio fit the bill for me, personally * HUGE space/nice ambiance * HUGE menu with "premium ramen" (where they spice up typical $.50 ramen with pork belly, egg, etc) CONS: * I tried the classic milk tea, and it tasted a little watered down * also tried the taro and it wasn't the best I had, weird aftertaste? * parking is limited in the area (more of an inconvenience, not a con...) OVERALL: I'll probably be back to fulfill my boba cravings, but this Quickly didn't change my life during the soft opening. The boba tea at Quickly is similar to that of their Morrisville location. The tea itself is weak. The tea flavor is good, but tastes a bit too dilute (just with respect to the leaves). The honey boba was correctly cooked throughout with a nice chewiness to it, but lacked the sweetness I expect from tapioca balls steeped in a sugar/honey concoction. There is also too little boba to a serving--I expect to finish the boba after the milk tea. The popcorn chicken was much better than their milk tea. The chicken had a very flavorful breading. The combination of juicy meat and crispy breading made a great mouthfeel. 10/10 on the chicken. Service is prompt. The place is nice for hanging out with furniture and a TV with music videos. It pains me to give a boba spot less than four stars but my experience here was so disappointing. After dinner in Chapel Hill, my family wanted boba and the only thing open was this Quickly in Durham. We wanted to call and make sure they would be open since we were driving 20 mins out of the way. First red flag, the girl who answered the phone was super rude and she literally hung up on me after she answered my question. They were open an hour more so we decided to drive over. When we got there, the same girl (I recognized her voice) was at the register taking orders. She looked like she would rather have been doing anything other than working there. Just like the phone call, she was short and rude. The other girl working with her was really nice and didn't look like she hated us. The tea was really watered down and the "brown sugar" tasted like chocolate syrup but the Thai was fine. Overall, rather get my boba fix elsewhere. read more

I've had their boba in the past, and it was not the greatest. Mine always came very water-y and flat in flavor. However, my friend convinced me to come again and try their snacks instead. Man, they were delicious! I got the popcorn chicken and the sweet potato fries, and I was very satisfied with both! The chicken was very flavorful and freshly fried to order. The fries as well! I like quickly because of the options they have. Quickly Durham is unlike other tea houses in the Durham/Cary area in that everything on the menu is completely customizable. You can mix flavors, adjust sweetness, even adjust temperature for drinks that at other places just don't have that option. I really enjoying coming here, the atmosphere is really nice, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. My favorite customizable drink- Thai tea with a flavor shot of brown sugar. read more

Super cute and authentic boba place! All the flavors and toppings are just like my neighborhood Quickly back in SoCal. The owners are really friendly too! So excited for there to be a late night snacks place in Durham. Plus it's open late enough that you can go after bars /clubs close! I got the Hokkaido milk tea and the Okinawa milk tea plus grass jelly and honey boba. It's cool that they have authentic tea flavors besides black, green and fruit flavors. I'm super picky about my boba and I'm happy to report these are fresh, sweet, and chewy! They also have lots of authentic toppings, egg pudding and grass jelly are my favorites! The classic popcorn chicken is amazing. I love it as a snack /meal replacement.. I came during the BOGO grand opening and it was super popular! Quickly has quickly become my go-to place for boba. As someone who considers themselves a boba snob (of sorts), this place definitely hits the spot. Lots of great flavors, although I usually stick with my usual Taro milk tea. Their season flavors are good as well; for example, in the spring, they had rose and lavender flavors that were really good. The proximity to Duke means that it is usually filled with students studying or talking, and it's a good place to hang out and relax. The prices are reasonable, and there's even a reward system where your 10th drink is free. I know that I'll be coming back here often and going through a few of those cards! read more

I swung by on a Sunday afternoon to give Quickly another chance and was sadly not impressed. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was that about 6 of the items on the menu were blacked out with tape, which is not an impressive look. It wasn't clear if they were permanently removed from the menu or just temporarily out of stock. I ordered the yin yang milk tea with the honey boba which is the half milk tea, half coffee drink and was informed that there was a 25 minute wait for boba! Honestly not impressive for a tea place in middle of the day on a weekend. I had some time to burn though and there's plenty of seating so I did some work on my laptop while waiting. About 10 minutes in, someone called my name and handed me my milk tea without the boba and I had to ask for it to be remade with the boba. I usually try not to be difficult but considering I paid extra for the boba, I felt that it was a reasonable request. Finally, after about 30 minutes, my drink came out. The boba lacked any sort of flavor whatsoever and was softer than I'd prefer. I also ordered the same drink for a friend to bring to her and mine had almost no ice so it stayed at room temperature, whereas hers had a normal amount of ice. The milk tea itself was fine. Overall the lack of consistency and organization has made me very hesitant to come back even though it is the closest bubble tea place to me. read more

I have not found found a boba place in the Triangle that wasn't kind of gross so I didn't have high hopes for Quickly. I'm pleased to have been wrong. Despite being the opposite of "quickly" (we waited 45 minutes for our tofu and drinks!), it was very good. Fried tofu was great and both the mango tea w/lychee jelly and Vietnamese coffee were good. I want to try their honey boba next time as they were out when we were there. Definitely a good spot for a bubble tea and a snack. read more

Looking for a new boba spot around town and this spot just might be it for us! Still not open for dine in just yet, but the shop is really cute. It's located on an awkward corner and tucked out of the way but once you're inside, you're greeted with a huge menu on the left, lots of cute plants, a beautiful ceiling draped with vines, and quirky paintings. We love fruit teas and mango green tea is usually our go to. Unfortunately they didn't really have something like that on the menu but they said they would be able to mix some together for us and make it work. I also decided to go out on a limb and try their mango "slush" and slushie smoothie version of their fruit teas. The mango green tea itself was great. I love how it's not overly sweet, my only gripe was that the boba was really warm and there was hardly any ice in the drink so the hot boba made everything really warm. The boba had a great texture and sweetness to it though. The slush was our standout favorite. It was a sweet and tangy slushie mix with the warm boba which was a little weird at first until the ice cooled it down. Will definitely get the slush again! read more

I've been to the Quickly locations in other cities and all of them have only had milk teas made with the powdered mix so I was really excited to see that this place offered milk tea with freshly brewed tea. My husband and I got the rose oolong (tieguanyie) and Japanese sencha. We got it with less ice and 50% sugar which is always how we order our milk teas. You can definitely taste the tea in the drinks which was really the only good thing about them. They both tasted (and looked) really watered down and mine was very sweet, much sweeter than his despite the same sugar level so not very consistent. Boba had a good texture. Overall, pretty disappointed considering each drink was $5.50 with boba. Maybe we'll come back to try the popcorn chicken but that's about it. read more
