    The tiny lot is kind of a barrier, but there is great parking across the street. There are loads of 2-tops which can be pulled together to accommodate larger groups, as well as a half-dozen outdoor tables. My friends pulled together two tables and the seven of us had enough room. We tried a lot of different dishes, from let noodle bowls to roasted chicken spring rolls. I had the PHAT SI EW SANDO, which is a pita pocket stuffed with rice noodles, pork shoulder, and a fried egg, along with some sort of wilted leafy vegetable and some crispy toppings. Very tasty, and a large portion. I took half home for a lunch. Service was quick and patient (thanks Kaitlyn!), and payment was quick and easy tableside without having to print out tabs. There were a good number of beers available, and some wines as well. Only one red was available by the glass, (a very tiny pour!), but the rest of the meals were far larger portions than we expected. Several others got take-away boxes. A fun evening and great food!

    The food was delicious. Small place with seating at high tops. The food was very good- crafted with care and attention to details. The service was a little slow but it was fine overall. The bakery was very impressive. The display case was full of delicious, gorgeous treats. I also tried the chocolate galette which was phenomenal. Pricing a little high but overall on par with area/food. I would return!

    I did NOT try the noodles or dumplings here, but instead stopped in for their famous ice cream sandwich (recommended by friends)!! I tried both the "burnt honey honeycomb" and the "toffee brownie" ice cream sandwiches. I thought the ice cream inside was really creamy, a little over frozen though. The flavors were great for each one. The outside cracker part (sandwiching the ice cream) gave it a nice crunch, but I prefer soft cookies or brownies on the outside (personal choice). Really good ice cream sandwich, but wouldn't stop by just for that again.

    This restaurant is in my opinion the most underrated restaurant in the Triangle...coming from someone that used to be a chef that's worked in Michelin restaurants and owned a modern Viet restaurant and bakery. I can see the care and effort they put in to making quality food that takes you on a journey. You're all sleeping on this place!!

    I stopped in on the weekend to satisfy my sweet tooth, so I can't comment on their savory foods. I've had the ice cream sandwiches before which have great flavor combinations and the right type of cookie to support the ice cream. The other desserts might be even better! They have a mouth watering display of various sweets from macarons to cakes to tarts. I settled on a pumpkin pie, chocolate ganache galette, and spiced apple cake. They were all so good with rich flavors! I'll be back to try more!

    Came here for a late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday afternoon and I think I found my new favorite restaurant. It's slightly smaller inside, so I wouldn't recommend for a large party but, the staff makes you feel so welcomed. Our waiter provided amazing recommendations! We ordered a bao bun to split, House Made Belt Noodles with meat and added veggies, and a Burnt honey honeycomb ice cream sandwich for dessert. The belt noodles were delicious however i would ask for less chili oil next time. When I went to eat my leftovers, my mouth was on fire from the noodles soaking up the extra oil. The real star of the show was the bakery case and ice cream sandwich - defiantly a 'must get dessert' kind of place!! I can't wait to try more of their bakery section!!

    We enjoyed the raspberry Bundt cake for dessert. All their treats looked amazing. The food was good too. We got the kids a bao to share, they didn't care for the mushrooms inside. I had the fried squid sandwich which was super interesting. Big flavor profile between spicy and citrus mayo and the fried squid. The squid was a bit over cooked and rubbery. A little difficult to eat on sandwich forms. Lastly, we ordered the soy tonkatsu ramen. We were not happy with the flavor, there was something off about the broth. The restaurant is very small, reservation is recommended. The food does come out quick, so we didn't have to wait too long for a table. Service was fine. They had 2 people helping with the customers, so if they are busy you might have to wait a little.

    I love the smaller diner feel of roses. Great Vietnamese food. The highlight of the experience was the ramen & sweets. The honey ice cream sandwich is to die for - order it and thank me later

    The restaurant is small so I would suggest making a reservation. We did not but they had a table for three open when we arrived. Our waitress was super helpful. She explained how you park in the parking lot across from the restaurant for two hours free and she validates your parking. It's a little confusing but Caitlin walked us thru the process. We had cold brews and they were delicious. I had the sweet potato noodle dish. She said it was spicy but this was s p I c y . Also the noodles seemed like glass noodles, I was expecting something that resembled or tasted like sweet potatoes, this did not. Once my eyes and nose stopped running, I was able to enjoy the soup, the protein and for me the soup and the mushrooms were the star of the dish. My daughter had the bahn ni . She said it was the best one she's ever had. My friend had the pho and said it was delicious. We also had desserts, I had the apple cake ( yummy), daughter had pear cake and friend had chocolate torte. All were delicious and are not too sweet. We loved this. All in all it was a wonderful meal with great service in a quaint restaurant.

    Many of my Durham friends recommended Rose's to me, so I came into the shop with high expectations. My friend and I called ahead of time to ensure there was seating, and true to their word, Rose's did immediately seat us. After getting water and menus, however, the service was not up to par. We ended up going to the front kiosk to order, where they apologized for the oversight. I think that the establishment is honestly just extremely understaffed since we had to ask for a water jug refill after about 20 minutes of having our food. We also went up front to pay, so I didn't feel like we were being waited on at all. We ordered the 2 salads for $11 lunch special, along with the $17 vegetable hand made belt noodles. I rated the overall meal a 6/10, while my friend rated it 8/10. As someone who often cooks Asian cuisines at home, I felt like I could have made these dishes at home. In my opinion, the chili oil was honestly more oily than spicy, leading to a lack of depth in the dish; my friend simply said that it was a light dressing on the noodles. The salads were good with a variety of textures, but again, I felt like I could make something similar with an online recipe. When we went up front to check out, we were incorrectly charged for the two salads (dinner prices rather than lunch). My transaction had to be voided and recharged. The cashier did apologize, but I felt like the mediocre food and subpar service really broke my Rose's experience.

    Rose's Soy Tonkotsu Ramen is maybe my preferred ramen in Durham- tender pork belly, broth with sufficient depth, jammy marinated egg. That's the only meal I've had here bc honestly, I usually go to Rose's for a sweet treat. Their Passionfruit Tres Leches lives rent-free in my head lol! Have also tried the Strawberry Pistachio Cheesecake, Apple Cider Mochi Cake, Blood Orange Upside Down Cake, Passionfruit Coconut Macaron, and Crème Brûlée Macaron, all of which were generally great. Free 2-hour parking in the Brightleaf square parking lot across the street (Rose's also has a small parking lot). Ambiance is good, but note that the inside is very small. Service is good & fast. 10/10 would recommend for your sweet tooth cravings!

    We went today at Rose Noddles at the right time just before it started heavily snowing. This was our first time at this restaurant. We will be back? Yes, for sure! I've seen this place many times but I didn't really know much except that the noodles were pretty and that was the case but also, there's a large pastry case inside with a good selection of cakes and delicious sweets. Good to know... Because of the wintry weather they created a special SnowMan menu which was really original by my opinion. It's tight inside. The tables are really close together, which is a good thing because as a Foodie I love to see what the others choose and chat with them. So that's what we did- the table next to us told us they recommended the Rice Porridge Bowl and the Belt Noodles. We can definitely call this kind of cuisine comfort food, especially during this chilly weather. Fun fact, my spouse took a little bit of my rice porridge to mix with the rest of her bowl to counter the spicy broth and the flavors were matchee so well. I did the same, taking broth from her noodle bowl to add to my porridge and it was so good. If you come if for the first try doing the same and tell us what you think. We immensely enjoyer the flavors, especially the fresh touch of the cilantro on top of the savory mushrooms. I would like to know more about the origin of this business because I think it's really original. After lunch, we were too tempted by the pastries and we left with a chocolate galette, a slice of peanut butter caramel chocolate cake, and an apple cidern mochi cake. Currently, it's 10PM and there's 1 left cake for tomorrow...only the apple cider mochi cake is left to try...we will see if it survives the night lol They make their own chili oil in house. 5 stars for sure !!! Thanks for the wonderful lunch. We will be back!
