We visited Moge Tee on Easter Sunday as they were one of the only open places on Franklin street to get boba. The staff were nice, took the orders quickly and the ingredients were fresh. I got a Fresh Lemon Oolong tea and it was spot on (less ice and 50% sweetness). They have a punch card for a free drink after you get 7 which is a nice perk too. The orders were promptly made and delivered up front and everyone in my group was happy (we ordered 5 drinks). The main downside and reason I didn't give them 5 stars was they were out of Boba already and it was mid-late afternoon. So we didn't get to try any boba (the lychee jelly was good though!). I also like the lids of their cups. If you drink from the lid itself, there's a cap and a place to keep the cap on the lid while drinking (cap storage). If you use the straw port then you won't need it. But it's not a cheap cup/lid. ------TL;DR------ Pros: fast ordering and prompt delivery, friendly staff, reasonable prices, really fresh ingredients. Has a non-dairy menu Cons: ran out of boba (by mid to late afternoon) Bottom Line: freshly made drinks! I would definitely go back for more in the future next time I visit.

This was an interesting experience for sure! We went there just before closing so everything was a lot of comossion. The trash was being cleared, kitchen being cleaned and servers moving about so we did not have the best first look of it. Nonetheless we ordered the mango tea which had a different flavour to it that what we expected. It was not overly sweet but it wasn't the flavor we were lookong for sadly. I took of 1 star jist because the server was not able/willing to help us decide with suggestions and was kist giving us very plane suggestions which were eead off the menu board. The ambience was lretty cool thougj! They had mood sort of lighting and mice music playing. I could definitely see myself hanging out there with friends if Inhad time to kill. In the sea of bubble tea places I don't think i will give these giys a shot again, but then again we were there just around closing so choose for yourself

The tea house or cafe has a modern and bright setting. It was a cute imstagramable cafe. The staff was helpful, explaining all the different drinks and their flavours to us. We got a mango bubble tea, though I didn't particularly like the first few sips of the drink, I soon grew to like it. It was a strong, slightly artificial mango taste, but not too bad either. They have a wide menu and multiple stores around NC. I am keen to try some other flavours too.

The ambiance and cleanliness is amazing. Reasonable prices and amazing presentation! I think I may start going here for my go to boba spot.

4/5 | Cute place w/ must try boba Taste: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Aesthetic: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Have only had good experiences at Moge Tee so far! The place is relatively new but I've heard lots of good things from other visitors already. The brown sugar boba tea is not too sweet and the warm boba with the cold milk tea is a must try. The grapefruit yakult is expensive for what it is, I would suggest skipping this drink on your visit if you're looking for something special. Overall, the staff is always kind and quick even when there's a long line. The aesthetic of the store is really cute and the location is accessible and close to the university.

This is a pretty trendy place, the interior is set up to sit, relax and enjoy your order. I was contemplating between the Mochi Matcha or one of the yogurt teas. I went for the Mochi Matcha and it came in a trendy cup, which you could even safe and reuse again. It was a delightful experience, and the beans made it almost a meal. I would take it as a breakfast drink next time. I'm sad I didn't try the yogurt tea, but maybe there will be a next time. I found out they are also located in NY. My daughter had the Mango Tea and was not impressed, it was not as sweet as she had imagined. Overall it was a nice Chinese tea experience!

I fly a lot and this is a pretty decent distance from where I stay in. I usually crave bubble tea so I decided to check this place out. Aesthetic- I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The place is super cute, drinks are cute, and it's just a relaxing place to be and I can spend my time here just drinking bubble tea Drink- I always order the mango bubble tea. As a person who loves mangoes they do mango drinks really well and would highly suggest this place for a mango lover. Their drinks are always fresh and very satisfying Snacks- I tired their Asian small snack dim sum and they were not bad. I feel like if you are feeling the munchies but is not super hungry then this place is the place for you. Overall, this is a pretty great place to have bubble tea. I haven't tried their other bubble tea flavors but you can't go wrong with a mango bubble tea in this place.

Got the purple yam bubble milk tea, and it was decent! I liked it because it has bits of purple yam/potato blended inside. However, the texture isn't for everyone. It wasn't smooth/creamy and truly tasted like sweet potato in a drink. I'm curious to try their taro and ube next time - not very many places that differentiate the two, so that's how you know it's authentic!

One of my friends mentioned that there was a new bubble tea spot that opened up on Franklin street, so I knew I had to go try it out. Being the third bubble tea spot on Franklin street made me a bit confused about the goal of this place. Having to compete with two, already established, bubble tea places within a 5-minute walking distance of each other seemed ambitious. Especially considering both stores (Cha House and Yaya Tea) had very loyal fan bases. But nevertheless, if they were confident enough to have a new store open, with the competition, I had to see for myself if it could live up to expectations. I decided to order online and go physically to the store to pick it up due to Covid. I ordered the "Super Fruit Tea" as I am more of a fruit tea bubble tea drinker. So I can't really comment on the milk teas' here. One thing that was confusing was that the prices on GRUBHUB didn't match the prices in the store and I ended up paying a dollar or two more than I should've. The prices for the toppings were also skewed a bit as on GRUBHUB they were 50c a topping but on the menu in the store, they were 65c. As for the drink itself...nothing too eye-opening. It was an average drink at best. It came in a tall slender cup with pieces of fruit that were sliced up. Given how expensive and average the drink was, I don't know if I'd order it again. Please be advised that that is the only drink I've ordered so far from Moge Tee, so I'll definitely change up the review in the future if another drink does peak my taste buds. Overall, given how expensive and close to the other bubble tea stores (2 doors down from Yaya Tea) it is, I don't know how sustainable this store will be. It has nice decor, but given Covid, that's not something anyone cares about right now.

I've been here multiple times and have tried a few of the drinks. I really love the brown sugar boba milk tea, highly recommend that one. My go to is Thai milk tea with boba. Their boba is always fresh and warm and has a great consistency.

Moge tee is amazing! Definitely the best I've had in chapel hill, and I'm glad to not be supporting a place that isn't problematic with racism issues (if that's what you're looking for, check out cha house on the same street). I highly recommend their fresh milk teas, in particular the rose oolong and da hong pao milk tea. Other favorites are the brown sugar bubble milk tea, the green milk tea, and the grape smoothie. Everything here is extremely high quality and fresh!

I came in with some ideas of what I wanted, but they also have a photo album full of ideas & inspiration. They helped us line up the projector to the canvas, and then we traced the outlines. After that, we went and picked out yarn colors, which are organized really well on the wall (they're also super helpful for estimating how much yarn we might need). Then we had a short tufting lesson on how to use the tufting gun and then we just went for it! I did a small rug (17" x 17"), and it took a good 1-2 hours of tufting. After finishing, the staff helped with gluing the rug, attaching it to a backing, and shaving it down. I really love how it turned out! They also have a menu with boba, which was actually really good considering they're not a boba shop. Scheduling was really straightforward - you just pick a time on their website. I signed up as a group of 4 people, and they didn't have another slot on their website, but I called and they were gracious enough to add me into the slot. We were scheduled for 2 hours starting at 6 pm, but we ended up staying an extra 2 hours (past closing too) just to finish the rugs. I felt bad, but the staff were extremely nice and courteous - they didn't try to rush us out at all even though it was well past closing for them. I'd try to schedule earlier for rug appointments so you don't run into potentially staying too late! Price was also extremely reasonable. I will definitely be back!

If you're looking for your knees to pop a little when you sit down, this is the place for you haha. Go support your local small businesses! I got the ube ice milk at 50% sugar and it was delish! There's only one size and it's pretty big. I definitely recommend mixing it super well with the coated ube on the sides of the cup, otherwise you're just gonna taste the milk. I loved it though cause it felt like I was getting different layers of the drink based on how much ube I had mixed in- very high quality milk and drink. I would totally recommend! My roommate got their strawberry matcha, and we watched them make their matcha and 100% authentic, it's not just some concentrate, we watched them mix the matcha with the designated whisk- super high quality and she loved it too. I had a sip and their boba quality is also 10/10, super super chewy and nice! The guy behind the counter was also really kind- very quick service, patient with you as you look at their wonderful menu. You can also ask to sample some of their toppings to make a well-informed decision for yourself. They also have little gifts you can buy in the form of tea, popping boba, or even cute boba/drink carriers. Also, they have a cute interactive wall where you can write a note or draw some pictures. Would be back again! Personally think it would be fun if there were also board games around too!

Bapu's ambiance inside looks artsy, with cute aesthetics and cool atmosphere. What stood out to me was the assortment of toppings displayed. The good thing: they look pretty colorful and fresh; the not-so-good thing: they're uncovered, so I'm not sure if they're clean. Nonetheless, it's convenient to see the different topping options you can add to your milk tea. I noticed Bapu uses the artificial purple taro powder for its milk tea instead of taro paste, so I eliminated that choice from my milk tea selection process. There was only one young employee who took orders and also made the milk teas when I went, but his customer service was good as he made fine recommendations and served my order fast. Unlike Boba Baba's eye-aching menu screens, Bapu Teahouse's menu overhead looks clear with photos, highlighting its special drinks. There are no kiosks here, so you'd have to order face-to-face. As the server recommended, I ordered the Brown Sugar Ice Milk (75% sweetness, light ice). It doesn't look as Instagram-worthy as Tiger Sugar's brown sugar milk teas, but it looks yummy enough, with brown sugar syrup clearly visible in Bapu's cute & translucent cup with ears. Bapu only serves 1 size for its drinks. When I ordered this, the server asked if I wanted boba. Most decent milk tea cafes I go to automatically already have the basic tapioca pearls or boba by default in their brown sugar milk tea drinks but Bapu charges extra for that. Brown Sugar Ice Milk is listed as $6. With the boba topping, I ended up paying a total of $7.76, which is slightly higher than average price of brown sugar boba milk teas in cafes I've been to. Compare that to Feng Cha in Morrisville, which offers Dirty Boba (brown sugar milk tea for only $6.25 with the boba already included, so Bapu's pricing here sounds like a joke. To be fair, the size of the cup is large enough, with its cute top that reminds me of Doraemon or Hello Kitty. The material of it doesn't look cheap and it feels fun to hold. The sweetness of the brown sugar flavor was just right. It might have been too sweet if it was set to 100% sweetness level, and it's still probably slightly sweet at 50% but my usual preference of 75% for any brown sugar milk tea was perfect here. The milk was deliciously-creamy with the fresh & chewy boba - perfect texture. Server did a good job blending with just the right amount of ice, good amount of brown sugar syrup & boba. It's not on the same level as Boba Baba's Brown Sugar Boba or Tiger Sugar's brown sugar drinks but it's better than many mediocre brown sugar milk teas I've tried in other cafes. Bapu Teahouse's menu is purely drinks, with a nice variety of milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies & iced coffee. Sadly, there are no snack or non-drink dessert options here that you can pair with your milk tea. It's not a big deal if you're only craving for a drink, and it looks like Bapu has a good selection of toppings to customize your order. Just prepare to pay extra for those. | Overall Score: 3.4/5 | Recommended Alternative: Sharetea in Morrisville
