I had the best experience with Quick Key Locksmith. I have heard so many horror stories about losing car keys, and the expensive and time consuming process it takes to replace them. I looked up Lincoln Park LockSmith, and Quick Key Locksmith was one of the first options that came up (I truthfully didn't look up reviews or prices and was just concerned with getting my car keys replaced ASAP). I don't usually review anything, but these guys saved the day yesterday! After spending a day with friends out of town, my boyfriend came home only to realize that he had lost the key to the house he was house-sitting - it was the only copy the homeowners had and it was gone. While he attempted to retrace his steps and find the key, "I googled locksmiths in the area" and called the first 6 places that came up to get an estimate (and ask questions since I had no idea what to do). I needed to have apartment locks re-keyed and have a few spare keys made. Called up Quick Key and made an appointment with ease. They gave a 1-hour window when the tech would show up and stated the tech would call approximately 15 minutes before to confirm. Bobby called about 15 minutes beforehand and showed up in the earlier portion of the scheduled window. He was extremely friendly and was nice enough to explain what he was doing as he was doing it. He was quick, clean, and courteous. The machine to copy keys in his truck was broken but he found another tech in the area who could make the copies and was back quickly. I want to repeat how friendly and courteous he was. A true professional and nice guy. If I ever need another locksmith I will call Quick Key and request Bobby. Thankful to Quick Key Locksmith on Irving Park Rd in Chicago today, for solving 3 different difficult key duplication requests. Dominic and Brendon both carefully searched for correct hard to find blanks and had both in stock. Keys cut. All work smooth and well. Also assisted with duplicating 2 50cc genuine scooter key duplications from a bent almost broken original key (we had the blanks). Tested, confirmed operation, reassured us about ignition function. Also chose here because they answered phone quick and encouraged us to bring the keys and scooter to their storefront location on Irving Park Rd just east of Ashland. My back door deadbolt broke and I called Quick Key. The best thing right away was I got a full quote on how much to put in a new lock plus the service call. No guessing or BS here, just a straight quote that they honored. This is a great company. I was in a tough situation, I came home and noticed my door opened, I knew I hadn't left it opened, when I walked in things were thrown all around. I looked online and came across Quick Key. I have them a call and they were at my house within 45 minutes. We were able to change the locks on the front, back, and basement doors, which helped me sleep much easier knowing everything had been changed. Excellent--quick service! They dispatched a locksmith right away, he called to let me know when he was 10 minutes away and by about an hour after I first called, my keypad lock with a dead battery was unlocked. (I had previously called another well-known Chicago Locksmith company & they told me it would be 6 hours. It wasn't totally emergent, so I instead set an appointment for a different day. I was out and took a cab home, it must have been in the cab somewhere that I dropped my key. I couldn't' believe it; I never thought I would be one to lose a key. Locksmiths can be hard to find especially later at night, most of the locksmiths I called said there would be an extra charge for coming out so late. When I called Quick Key I asked and the person I talked to said there was no extra fee for coming out so late. Just replaced lock did not work and we has clients meetings scheduled for the day. We call our previous locksmith company and they said they might be able to come the following day. I called up Gal one day because I had lost my keys and I needed to both get into the house and also I wanted to change the locks so whoever found the keys wouldn't be able to get into my house, not that they really would know what house they went to. So fast and did great work! A locksmith came in 10 minutes after calling and fixed our door. We ended up needing to have Quick Key come back a few days later because it ended up not fixing the problem (and he also came in under 10 minutes, we joked they must be waiting on the corner for our calls), but they didn't charge us the second time and now it's fixed for sure. I managed to lock myself out of my condo when I went to run an errand before heading to the airport. Oops! Ugh! I was in a panic because I had a flight to catch in 4 hours. I called and told him my situation and he managed to get to my place in 30 min. (I live in Lincoln Square).
