Brendon is always helpful and friendly...great service! Great neighborhood business.

I requested to be let in for a lockout over the weekend, not only did it take 2 hours to send a technician one mile down the road, but the technician they sent damaged my lock to the point where I could not get back in my home the next day. I went to the shop in-person for this fix, and the manager/supervisor told me, without any knowledge of the situation, that the "technician probably didn't damage the lock," and attempted to charge me again. The new tech that was sent, who was undoubtedly more equipped for the job, told me that it was indeed the last tech who damaged my lock by using the wrong picking technique, something that presumably should be learned in training before performing services on people's home locks. Subpar customer service and subpar quality assurance. I recommend finding somewhere else for a better bang for your buck. read more

This location is close to my business. Very handy when keys need to be copied. A good option vs key copying machines - better price as well. Dominic is friendly and helpful. In the past I've used their locksmith services for my mailbox. The price was fair, the staff was communicative, and it was a positive experience. read more

My fiancé and I made the annoying mistake of locking ourselves out while walking our dog this morning (UGH). Luckily, we called Quick Key and they were at our condo in less than 20 minutes. From the time we called to the time we were in our condo was about 30 minutes, if that. Cost was around $100 which was reasonable considering how fast and pain-free the process was. They are insured/bonded and recorded our call when we requested the service for security purposes. As much as I hope we never get in this situation again, we will definitely be using Quick Key if we do! Thanks Nikolas and Joseph!! read more

Really excellent service, was easy to schedule and the quality of the work was excellent.

Great and prompt service. Very fast and responsive. They had a tech out to us ASAP to deal with a malfunctioning exterior deadbolt. The tech was able to quickly assess the issue and offered a good range of options. After I chose the solution that was best for us, he was able to promptly install it with a re-keyed lock to maintain continuity with the existing keys. All told the price (for both parts and service) was great. Highly recommend. read more

Quick, easy service, reasonably priced! They showed up less than an hour after my call and got me into my place quickly.

It was wonderful working with Quick Key Locksmith and Security from the initial Yelp contact til the project end. They were quick to respond to all of my many questions along the way. After I provided them with photos of the 2 doors and of the hardware I purchased, they kindly gave me a detailed quote for the installation. Javier arrived on time. He was very thorough and patiently explained what might be a potential problem in the fit of the deadbolt and handle. But in the end, he managed to get all the hardware installed. It looks very nice and professionally done! The billing was as quoted; there were No surprises. We definitely recommend Quick Key Locksmith and Security!!! read more

Used these guys based on someone's recommendation but they live in Chicago and I'm in the Schaumburg area so I got a locksmith out of another of their locations most likely. It was an easy job to just replace locks/keys and turned into a 4 hour fiasco. Guy tried to sell us a new keypad that was not needed. He was not prepared, lazy attitude, and then didn't have a deadbolt in his trucks and left for 2 hours to go back to office. I would not recommend this place. Please look elsewhere, there's plenty to choose from on Yelp. read more

Had a great experience with quick key locksmith and security. Needed services quickly and they showed up faster than I expected. Joe S. was my service provider and he was quick, polite, and efficient. Rekeyed two doors (four locks) in less than 40 mins. Would definitely use them again and recommend to others. read more

Came to get some extra house keys made since my other trusted place closed down. The most important thing, the new keys WORK! I've had keys cut at big box stores and come home to find they don't actually open my door. Brendon was such a great help in making this magic happen! read more

I needed my mailbox lock and a lock to my storage changed and was very pleased with quick key. It wasn't an emergency service, but found availability to come within 48hrs of my request. i had an emergency the day of the original booking and totally forgot they were coming until i got a call from them saying they were outside. Despite my mistake, they were very accommodating and incredibly understanding and rescheduled me for the next business day (happened on a Friday so they came on Monday). They were communicative and even took the time to call me twice the day of to confirm (probably because they thought I'd bail again lol), and came within the time frame offered. The person who changed my locks was VERY quick and friendly. Happy i found them! read more

I went in to get two sets of keys made. The young man behind the counter was very professional and friendly and helpful. He patiently explained the pricing when I had confusion about it. He worked fast. And he offered to help me put the caps and tags I just bought from him on my new keys. He also offered me a little baggie for the keys. When I told him that Google still lists the business's previous address, he said he would alert the office manager. He was wearing a mask, and a sign on the door made it clear they expect customers to do the same. The pricing was fair. I was very pleased with my experience. It was a highlight of a stressful afternoon. read more

They arrived fast (within less than an hour) and the gentlemen that helped us was very pleasant and worked fast. He was a lifesaver after loosing our house keys! I'd definitely use them again. read more

My wife and I have used Quick Key twice, once to rekey our condo and today to replace the front door handle to our building as it started to fall apart after years of use. Joe S. was prompt, polite, and efficient in replacing the handle/lock and also ensured all owners in our building had keys. I would gladly call Quick Key with any future locksmith needs! read more

I had an emergency. I lost my keys and needed to get to my space before the movers came. This company was quick to respond. I've called a lot of locksmiths and this one was by far the most reliable. I had an old deadbolt that had gotten so worn the key would no longer turn. I took the whole thing over to these guys and Dominic repaired the cylinder while I waited - turned out a tiny tumbler spring needed replacement. Took 15 minutes, cost $25, and I didn't even need to get a new key. Highly recommended. read more

Excellent and fast service. I walked in needing new keys. In less than five minutes, a young man named Dominick had my keys made, a receipt in my hand, and sent me on my way. Of course, they worked perfectly with no issues. read more

These guys were great. I came home Saturday night after thanksgiving to find my electronic lock was dead. I call Quick Key and within an hour on a holiday weekend they were there. They tried to pick the lock but due to the high security nature of the lock they were unable to get it open. It was frustrating that they couldn't get in but also reassuring to know it was a really good lock. Ultimately we had to drill the lock but at the tech's suggestion we went to the back door and drilled that one since even though it was a high security lock it was not as expensive of a lock to replace since it was going to be destroyed by drilling. We had them out a second time to look at locks on our condo building because few garage locks that were improperly installed and someone was able to break in. They fixed the existing locks and educated me on how they got in and what are more secure locks. If we decide to install new locks we will definitely call these guys. read more

They kept me updated on the technician's arrival time. I needed a schlage keypad lock repaired that was broken by a previous locksmith. He has to use parts from another lock and it worked out great. The fee was reasonable. I'll be using them again. Bonus: They take Zelle. read more

I originally use quick key back in 2018 when we moved into our place and needed new locks. The service was good then so I called them when I needed the locks updated for new keys. Excellent service from Quick Key, in rekeying a house for us. Quick Key's technician, Alex, was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He was able to quickly assess the house needs and provide the options available. The work was completed in the projected time, and in addition, he was able to rectify some very janky work done by one of the previous owners. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of work! read more

Jay showed up at my first building about twenty minutes after calling to say he was on his way. Showed up ahead of our scheduled block time and proceeded to troubleshoot the two rear apartments first. That ended up being a real clusterpuck, but he was able to resolve those problems and then troubleshot the front apartment on the second floor... Easy enough fix... Have to order a new intercom...(I was prepared for THAT assessment- seeing as how that system was well over 15 years old)... Then we headed to my other building... Breezed through the ten apartments where, thankfully, the worst problem was three pushbuttons and an amplifier... He'll have to order those parts and get back to me when they're in. Overall, on a scale of ten, I'd give them a 12. His perseverance and they're pricing was very satisfactory and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who asked. Thanks guys!!! read more

Extremely impressed with Quick Key's service. My dead bolt had basically snapped and fell out of my back door. Because it was more of a new hardware issue, the first round of locksmith's I called couldn't help. Quick Key came over the same day I requested an appointment (within a 2 hours), took measurements in about about 20 minutes, ordered the part and gave the option to pay for next day delivery which I did. It arrived the very next morning and was installed in less than two hours later. They even re-aligned my door frame to prevent it from happening again. So, despite needing a new handle/bolt from a random manufacturer which I never would have been able to identify on my own, they went from first contact to fixed in less than 48 hours. Also, they keep your number via caller ID so when you contact them, they have your project, invoice, etc. all pulled up right away. They also are very responsive via text messages which is great. GREAT SERVICE. Skilled technicians. Easy to work to work with. read more

Quick Key never fails! We have an antique door with tricky parts. When the 1st technician wasn't familiar with the parts, Quick Key immediately sent 2 supervisors to help. They went far beyond just installation with initial door repair. Office reps are always informative & helpful. I've always been more than happy using Quick Key. read more

Intake was quick and efficient and though I was calling to schedule an appointment the locksmith, Jay, was here in less than an hour. Outstanding! I had a rusted out Kryptonite u-lock that wouldn't open no matter what i tried. Jay was easy to work with and despite my tricky situation, took care of things in five minutes. He was careful to not damage my bike or the helmet which also ran through the lock. Would definitely recommend. read more

"Joe S" was thorough in duplicating a key after a competitor tried unsuccessfully.

Wow where do I begin!? I am dealing with a nosey roommate who enjoys going through my things when I am not home. I put a lock on my door initially and went out of town to deal with personal matters. Imagine coming home to your room being broken into and your door completely ruined. This is what happened to me. I ended up calling a few places but this place stood out to me because they were really sympathetic to my situation. Chris on the phone was very kind So was the owner And Ramon! OH RAMON! This man is TALENTED! Literally the best locksmith I've ever seen. He's also kind and really takes the time to explain to you what you're getting. He installed locks on my door that make me feel super protected and safe! Hopefully soon, I can rid myself of this nuisance of a roommate, but until then I can rest at night feeling totally protected in knowing that myself and my belongings are safe! read more
