Locked out on a Sunday evening with a preconceived notion I was in for an extremely irritating and wallet emptying night. Luckily I called these guys first. Spoke to someone right away who helped me with the verification process. 10 minutes later I received a call back to confirm a technician (Mike) would be out to me in about 40 minutes. Took a little longer than that but understood Mike was coming some ways to get to me. Within 5 minutes of his arrival he had gotten me back in the house. Payment took about 10 minutes with Mike there on the phone with his dispatcher. Fairly priced and easy guys to work with. read more

Gerardo arrived right at the start of the 2 hour time window they said a tech would arrive. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the buzzer/Intercom at our condo building. Clearly communicated the cost for each repair and fixed the issues right on the spot. Very reasonable rates and the whole process took a little over 1.5 hours. Well worth the time and money. Based on a number of very highly rated reviews, I called Quick Key for help with a 1.2 cubic foot Sentry safe that wouldn't open. They quoted a $65 trip charge to diagnose the situation. When he arrived and assessed, the tech didn't have many options and within minutes concluded he needed to drill the safe to open it (which obviously trashes the safe). I asked how long it would take and the tech said 30-45 mins. He quoted $250 to drill the safe + the $65 trip charge for a total of $315. I told the tech that the safe didn't cost that much and pushed back on the price to drill it. The tech goes out to his car to talk to his boss and comes back with a price of $200 + $65 trip charge to drill the safe. Meanwhile, I had searched the web and found pricing from $130 - $250 to drill a safe (without a separate trip charge). I told the tech that I still felt that was too high so I called another locksmith. The other locksmith said that Quick Key were scam artists and they did subpar work at high prices. He said they somehow manage their review such that bad reviews disappear and their ratings are bogus. He also said they would frequently work an angle just to get the trip charge without really doing anything. When I told Quick Key that they were still trying to rip me off, they offered to match the other locksmith's price. I said "no, I don't want to do business with you. You tried to rip me off twice." Another locksmith came the next day and opened safe without drilling it. He also guaranteed a max fee of $200 all in for his service when we made the appointment. I would definitely NOT recommend Quick Key based on my experience with them. read more

They gave me a 2 hour window the same day but David arrived within the first 30 mins. He was kind and professional and very reassuring. He changed out two locks in no time flat. This company was fantastic. Called them a day before we were closing on a house to see if they would be able to change the locks the next day and it was no problem for them. They worked within my schedule, and they were always in contact to let me know when they were coming. Also, my locksmith Ramone was super nice and efficient, so if you are lucky to have him change your locks, he likes Redbulls. I also recall the pricing to be reasonable. I was so impressed with the customer service I received here! I came in to get some keys made, including one that I had had some trouble preciously finding a company who could do it. The guys here went above and beyond researching my key and discovered that the company that sold it is no longer in business. They offered to come out to replace my lock, and I headed out with their card so I could set up an appointment. Less than an hour later, they called to let me know they had found the blank key I needed on eBay and were happy to make it for me if I could order the blank. I highly recommend Quick Key Locksmith. I was in need of a change in locks at 7:15pm in fear of my safety and they were right on it. Mike came out right away and replaced my deadbolt and door lock with a security lock. Mike was very polite, professional, friendly and informative. He quickly and expertly made the repair and also did a bunch of the "little things" to make the overall deadbolt and door latch performance better. There should be a zero star rating for this company. Their customer service is terrible. I called and asked if they could make a copy of my car key for me. The woman I spoke to said yes, just drive to the shop. I drove over a half hour to get there. One man behind the counter was rude and just mumbled words I couldn't understand. The other guy took my information and told me it would be no problem and that he would order the key and get back to me in a few business days. Not sure why I had to drive all the way out there and why they couldn't do this part over the phone. Five days later after not hearing from them my husband called to check on the status of the key. They had no idea what he was talking about. I emailed them and got a response stating that there was some confusion and asking how I'd like to proceed. I stated that I would just like a copy of my key made and would like to know when this could be done. No response after that. read more
