We have used the services of Buckeridge for maintenance issues a few times over the past decade. Most recently, we had a spring issue and they sent out Steve who has been with the company for quite some time. His thoroughness was beyond impressive. He was personable, friendly, and detailed. He answered our questions, clearly had a mental checklist in his head of all the things to do--and proactively check--and left with us confident that our needs had been met. We also like to support women-owned businesses and this one is, with the newer owner serving our country and then applying her talents to an established company such as this one. I wasn't overly impressed with the scheduler and person who answered the phone--there was a lot of dead silence, and I was put on hold for a longer period of time than seemed necessary/reasonable. I also don't like companies that pass along credit card transaction fees to the customer--I think it's a part of owning a business--but I could overlook these things based on the quality service we received in person. Waited 2 months to review. Let's start at the end. Garage door is a perfect 10. Opener a perfect 10. Instal was a 10 plus. So why a 4 instead of 5. Communication. Special order 8 to 12 weeks. In today's world this is normal. If you get a stock door from them a week or two. Not a single update call. I had to call to see if we were on track. The door came in and they didn't call. I called at 10 weeks. They said let me check. Oh its here. We will call you with instal date. Nope. Called again got scheduled. So while frustrating I would use them again. I know I have to keep on them. In this case the END justified the MEANS. LOL I think that's the saying. read more

I had a garage door problem. Living out of the area, I wanted to coordinate the repair with an another appointment. I called the office the day before to schedule the repair. The gentleman said he'd put me on the sheet for the following day and asked that I call them after that appointment ( which ended at 11AM) which I did. The office informed me that I wasn't on the schedule and that I'd be looking at a 1-3PM time slot. That time slot eventually became about 4:30PM. The only redeeming factor was the tech who they send out. He was knowledgeable, amiable, and fast. If I were remaining in the area, I would never call them again. read more

Our technician Jake arrived on time, having called to let us know he was on his way. Very polite professional young man who immediately understood our problem and fixed it promptly. While that could have been it, he told us we had paid for one hour of service anyway so to fill out the rest of our hour, he greased all the chains and lubricated the other appropriate parts. Our garage door was having difficulty closing. It would stop on its way down and keep reversing. We called Buckeridge since we had used them in the past. I'm not sure if it was an extremely busy day or whatnot, but the person on the phone was short with me when I called to make an appointment. They were able to send someone over the next day to fix the door, but the problem was not fixed. They charged us parts and service fee, but the technician didn't fix anything and left right away. After calling them back later that afternoon, I was again met with rudeness, but they said they would send someone over the next day. Great experiences with this company regarding a garage door opener. They were prompt in responding to our call about the door going partway up, part way down and pretty much responding erratically. "Izzie" checked out the door itself and all its parts, making sure it was level before suggesting it was a problem with the circuit board of the old unit. We knew the unit was around 15 years old, so not surprised. They came back and installed a new opener. The technician "Izzie" was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. After putting it off for years, I finally walked in to this industrial park location to see about getting 2 new garage doors to replace the 45 year old originals. I was directed to Butch Fiene, a straight-shooter who recommended a "mid level" door that turned out to be just perfect. He didn't oversell nor push any add-ons. He came to the house to measure and quoted a very fair price, offered to install the next week and recommended a contractor who could repair the corroded siding edges that also needed replacement. Right on schedule, the next Friday morning, the installer showed up and 4 hours later I had new doors that matched the trim perfectly and had a new weather-tight seal. Other than a little roughness in one door closing (it may be the old door opener), everything was perfect. I highly recommend them. read more
