This was not the company I thought I had called because I needed same day service. Huge mistake. I realize now that they have more than one website to hide their shady practices. I should have known something was wrong when the service guy that came out slapped a sticker on the wall for this company instead of the one I called DO NOT USE THEM! They overcharge on everything. The service guy that they sent was having trouble adjusting the door and blamed it on the opener. Afterwards, my garage door opener was completely messed up and none of the clickers worked. I called SUPERIOR garage door LLC and was told somebody would be coming out between 12-2. A person from PREMIUM garage doors shows up. When the tech looked at the garage door he quoted me 900+ dollars for a one car garage door to replace the side cables (one cable had snapped )he said the whole thing had to be replaced, including the spring, bar, cables etc.. I said it was too much money and he came down a couple times because he said he was already out here and would have to charge me a $29 service fee. . The reviews on Yelp and Better Business Bureau for PREMIUM are horrible. (15-1.5 star reviews). Superior doesn't have any reviews anywhere. The tech says they are both the same company. Let me first say the technician was knowledgeable, however, when I asked to see his ID, he was affected. In this day and age when a person pulls up to your home with no markings or company uniforms, you would caution and ask to see some ID, to confirm you are who you say you are. I called Superior Garage door repair to schedule service for a broken spring. I asked for a price quote and was told a range of $125 to $250 determined by what else was needed. A technician arrived soon and quoted $230 for the spring and we agreed. Soon after he said that the cable drums and center bearing needed replacement. He quoted $45 for each bearing and $35 for the bearing. he replaced the parts and said he would not charge for the labor. the parts on amazon cost $19 each for the Drums and 15 for the bearing, so the markup was the replacement for the labor. When I got home, I called and talked to their supervisor and complained about the extra work and charges, because I just wanted the broken spring replaced. He tried to tell me they were worn out. Upon inspection and sending him photos, I did not see any excessive wear by what he was telling me what to look for. Premium Garage Door company based out of 227 W Maple St New Lenox IL 60451 rendered us a service on 9/31/2021, and overcharged us almost twice ($650) for replacing Garage Door springs with labor, just springs alone they charged $250 each, total $500 for 2 springs and $150 for labor. The Tech also suggested to replace the bearings for $79, we accepted and replaced it. As we were new to home, we accepted the repair charges, but realized next day talking to our few of our neighbors about the fact we were cheated by this Premium Garage Door company. We validated this by calling Four Seasons Garage Door company and few others, they all gave a price of $220-$300, no one gave a price more than that. Also, the springs costs just from $50-100 each vs $250 charged by this Premium Garage door company. We quickly realized we were cheated out rightly by this Premium Garage Door company and called them, told them why you did to us during a Pandemic. Initially they started giving some explanation saying their Springs were made in USA, hence they charged $250 for each spring. After that we told if you guys are honest you have to accept that your technician overcharged us and hung-up. then they said the old Spring size was smaller hence broke, but replaced a bigger size spring. But some Manager called and apologized to us after 10min, and said they'll return $100 for their mistake. They did that. On top of all this, they've committed a 5yr warranty of any issues arise out of this service. Now, within 45days, yesterday, 10/13, the Garage door cable broke, which was connected to the Ball bearing, which is working with the tension of the Springs. It was clearly written in many Garage Door blogs, experts say, if the Springs are tightened too much the cable will break. We called Premium Garage Door today and explained, they sent the same Tech to see the issue. They agreed if the cable were broke due to spring tension they'll replace for free. But, once the Tech came, he started yelling, shouting, telling us this is not related to the spring tension. He wasn't ready to accept his fault. I told him to leave the property then, but his behavior was totally unruly, unprofessional, started shouting at me. It looks like this Premium Garage Door company is indulging in cheating customers, having unprofessional tech, doing malpractice by telling lies to unsavvy customers. Now, we've to call Four Seasons Garage Door company to fix the cable issue which originated due to the service/work done by Premium Garage door company. DO NOT do business with Premium Garage Door Repair. I called this company to replace my garage opener. I stated that I want it to be WI-FI. The technician quoted a price of $650 which I felt was steep. I asked if he had a lower price. They offered a unit for $450 which I OK'd. The technician said he had to go and get the unit from the warehouse. When he returned the unit was assembled and I asked if the unit was used, and he said no. He proceeded with the installation and gave me the manual before he left. I tried to program the WIFI feature with no success. The company said they installed Liftmaster 8365W-267. I called Premium Garage Door and they talked to me very condescendingly and said they couldn't help me with my setup issue. I got the ladder and looked at the model number on the unit (8365-267) and it was not the one on my sale receipt. The unit they sold me does not have WI-FI. Came to my house to look at faulty opener. Within 1 minute, guy says I need a whole new system with all bells and whistles. I knew that was not the case - the gear on my opener was the issue. Guy never inspected my system at all so I told him to get out of there. Bought the part on Amazon for 19 bucks and fixed it myself. The worst was the tech then said the motherboard on my system was a problem to his bosses. The service manager then was extremely unprofessional over the phone. The worst customer service exchange I've ever had, courtesy of their OWNER. On October 1st, an estimator came to my home to provide a quote for the replacement of two of my garage doors. He took measurements of the frame, took a full payment of nearly $3000, and indicated that the doors wouldn't be ready for installation until the first week in December. Today (December 3rd), the installer came to my residence and told me that the doors could not be installed at all due to an issue that the estimator overlooked regarding the door frame. When I called the office to get clarification, I was told by someone who identified himself as the owner, that there was nothing that could be done and that I would just get my money back. At that point, I said that was unacceptable. Had I known that they wouldn't install the door two months ago when they first took measurements and accepted my money, I would have hired their competitor instead. He then interrupted me to say, "stop talking. I've let you speak for too long. If you're going to keep talking, I'm hanging up on you." The door and the Genie was working when he left, but when I went back to leave my garage my Genie was disconnected completely. DO NOT US THEM OR WHEATON GARAGE REPAIR!! They came to our house as a sourced contractor from Wheaton Garage Repair. We used them for a pervious repair and had to call them back a month later because the opener was not working. He showed up with two other guys and said it was a faulty motherboard and wanted $900 for the repair at first. He tried to come down a little bit but it was still over our budget. I told him he would wait and he said it would be a $49 dollar service charge. I told him that we were never told there would be a service charge and he still charged me anyway. When I called their office to see why we were charged they put him on the phone and he yelled at me and said my wife was liar and that she is scared of me and went on a yelling spree towards me. I have never been treated like this in my life. I called Wheaton Garage Repair to let them know the type of people they work with but since our second call was not placed with them they would not do anything about it.
