kept these six kids entertained and tired them out!

This kept my kids busy and laughing. I even joined in on the fun and didn't feel intrusive on the other children. It's very spacious! Very clean! I got bit up so don't forget repellent that's waterproof. Staff was very nice. First time we arrived it was pretty close to closing and they let us in free of charge which they didn't have to do but was so nice! I really appreciated that! Came back the next day and the kids played all day. We took snacks and by the end of the day my kids were knocked out! I traveled without my husband this time and I felt safe. It's a little walk down to the splash pad which makes it settling for mothers. You cannot run off without being noticed that's for sure! Then there's a bridge so it's definitely nice and secure! Definitely going to be my go to when retuning to texas!

What a GEM this place is!!! Waterpark experience without the crazy fees. I was completely impressed with the layout and I loved the grass seating areas, extremely family friendly and perfect for a hot summer day. The pavilions are available to rent for special events and from what I recall it's super affordable. It's clean, fun, and an awesome spot to schedule play dates! Keep in mind it is a little large and there are certain areas that aren't visible depending on where you're seated. I recommend bringing water shoes though, it can be a little slippery

What an amazing place to have so close to our house! Plenty of shade and a huge play area! We loved every moment of it!

So this is a little oasis hidden in the back of the Williamson County Park in the southwest Corner of Williamson County. It is just of Sam Bass road just north of 1431. It is cheap and easy. $2 per person. Same price children, adults, and seniors. There are a couple dozen water features to keep the kids busy and cool. The splash pad park area loops around revealing multiple shaded areas to setup for the afternoon. The grassy area flanking the concrete water area is all Astro turf so it is clean and easy. Really amazing how the area utilized the natural limestone look and creates a sunken feel to the area. For example there is a bridge to cross to get into the area that also functions as a shaded sitting area. The most popular feature has to be the slide. All around good fun for kiddos under 10. There is an ATM but bring cash it is just easier. There is also a concession area and as pavilion that you can rent.

This is little difficult as there are just as many GREAT PROS as there are DREADFUL CONS... It is definitely a "hot/cold" , "bittersweet" place. I'm giving 3 stars cause anything more or less feels extremely misleading and unfair. PROS that are also CONS: 1. PRO: Its very spacious..who doesn't like room to play? CON: you can easily lose track of your little ones especially if you have a couple and worse if they are 6 and under... Like a 6yo who is brave, but your 3yo needs attention... Ya. Exactly. 2. PRO: Lots of different areas. You can move around and check different parts out. Some with more water, others with less CON: see.. "Losing track of your kids" 3. PRO: The awesome slide!! I mean...a slide at a water park... FUN! CON: The slide is rock.. Its slick. Its dangerous although the entire I was there no one got hurt.. Maybe I'm a worry wart. I don't know. It is what it is. 4. PRO: As a visual only, the huge boulders placed sporadically throughout he pad were nice on the eyes! How pretty!! CON: ummm did you hear what I said?? Huge boulders placed sporadically throughout the pad . ya. One word. DANGEROUS. K? My son got hit with water from a canon and guess what he literally came within about 2 INCHES from placing his face/head on that friggin rock today. Pissed me off and scared the shit of me. Well after typing that I'm feeling more like a 1* but I'll be try to be fair. 5. PRO: Decent amount of water, always a place to get wet, no matter where you go..unless of course its out/off of the pad. CON: exactly what I said ... There is NO dry place anywhere. You're gonna get wet whether you want to or not. This has its good and bad qualities... Can't have a phone to take pics, can't be dressed in anything other than swim attire. You get to interact with your kid, they can spray you and splash you and feel good about it. Its a bittersweet. PROS ALONE: 1. Bathrooms were decent for the amount of people there. 2.The grass was not grass...it was turf, or indoor outdoor carpeting. Which meant no bugs.. Ahhh thank you. 3. There were many shaded areas off the pad to chill. 4. It felt "safe" there... As for belongings and whatnot. I didn't get the feeling someone was going to run off with our stuff. CONS ALONE: 1. The sand pit was a freaking caliche pit. Not sand. Rocky, pebbles, and straight dirt. Seriously? And dry...that shit was blowing everywhere. 2. Too many "hidden areas". Didn't like that. 3. All the rock. I know know... The quarry. I'm not stupid... But whoever designed this nightmare may possibly have been. :-) I mean.. Water and rock. Everywhere. Hmm... All in all. I don't know. The kids all had a freaking blast...and I did too..just the noted observations above... Will we go back? Probably, but it won't be our " go to" pad.

This place is out in the middle of nowhere, seriously. It is a part of the Williamson County Regional park and it is worth noting that it is ALL THE WAY in the back of the park. Just keep driving - you will see it and think you need to turn around but just pass it, there's a parking lot right after you drive by. As a landscape architect, I am appreciative of the naturalistic limestone feel and the fact that I don't have to stare at primary colored toys just because I'm a parent. Props to the design team. There are two main areas, a younger kid area on one side of the bridge that has mild jets/bubblers and a shaded sandbox area. This is where my kiddo seemed to prefer to hang out. The other side has a mix of kids and there is a higher possibility of being run down by the older kiddos. There are waterfalls, slides, huge water guns, misters, jets, climbing walls, artificial turf lounging areas, and probably more than I didn't see. The payment area is questionable - the honor system is not the best option for something like this. I can't imagine how many people have cheated the admission fee. Also, there could stand to be more shade structures. . . hopefully the trees will mature and provide a significant amount of shade in the future. I will also note that you have to watch your kid/s closely because everything is stone but it is not reason enough for me not to come back time and time again. Just watch your kiddos!

Looking down from a bridge is the splash area!

A good place to go in the summer! Fun in the sun for kids. Charge is minimal. There are many picnic tables. Fairly big area.

Fun and affordable! Lots of open space to play in the water or lay on the fake lawn and lay out .

It is large enough to run around without running into anyone at every turn and the slide was a HUGE hit.

Invited for a birthday party. Parking was easy. Inside the lobby was designated for check in for…read moreparty or just check in. We were given wrist bands and I had to ask where to go. We had a dedicated area with two picnic tables. Lots of kids there that day. Lots of chloramines in the air. My biggest complaint. Chloramines are chlorine that has bonded with organic matter and chloramine gas is released. It does not indicate cleanliness. That cannot be judged by smell but smell does indicate no free chlorine is available to sanitize. The odor was intense. It burned your eyes. It stayed on your clothes and hair afterward. The entire drive back home to DFW I was smelling chloramine and I never got wet. Anyway. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. Birthday boy loved it. His friends loved it. We didn't get in the water. We were being checked on frequently by staff. The water wasn't deep anywhere that I saw. You could see the kids easily. Slides and lots of typical splash pad things. It was a nice little place. The only complaint was the strong smell. We didn't buy food there so I can't speak to that. Overall it was a nice indoor splash park so despite the intense smell, I'm giving 3 stars.

Not what it used to be. At all. A couple weeks back came…read moreacross something online. Pretty sure it was on Google maps one of the AI suggested tips said that after 4 PM it was half price. Not a big deal. We got there and they wouldn't honor it. Ok, they've definitely done it before for us because I remember. Both of the employee stories didn't match up, okay - no big deal. Our kids wanted to play - we still paid. First irritating thing. Next? The lifeguards are selective (and not really paying attention to your kids so BE AWARE, THERE ARE TONS OF PLACES THEY CAN STILL DROWN HERE!!!!!! ) with who they want to yell at, also they don't really know what they're yelling at for because telling my child's father that he couldn't go down the small slide, even though it did not say no adults on that particular slide and our son is small/was scared to go without his Dad waiting first at the bottom. I guess because he was on the heavyset side of things she was trying to suggest he was too heavy when in fact, he was not, and there were bigger people going down it. So yeah the teenager "life guards" will body shame you. Watch out. Lastly.... The place has BLACK MOLD absolutely everywhere... as well as green mold/algae growing on steps, TONS of anti slip treads ripped off causing kids to slip (not to mention all the broken pieces of equipment), get hurt....even though they're in a rush to push customers out right at 6 o'clock sharp, if not before if they get the chance. Because they half ssa squeegee the floors so make sure you don't leave your shoes on the floor otherwise they'll end up in a puddle of water where they push all of it around from trying to hurry up and leave instead of doing their job properly and waiting for everyone to leave before they start cleaning/closing. It's a shame that the owners have let this place go downhill so much considering how much they still charge and the water was definitely not 82°! We saw one little boy with his lips blue and shivering. Save your money go elsewhere, this place is not what it's cracked out to be. Oh, and then charging like $20-$25 for an eight dollar pizza from Domino's is pretty diabolical too.

Stayed at the 3 BR/8 guest house on Aug. 10-13th. I had an issue on the initial booking identity…read moreverification where there was an error on the verification questions. This caused my booking to be cancelled and I had to rebook and reverify. VERY inconvenient but everything got worked out. When you pay $900+ per night you don't want to be inconvenienced while trying to book. The Reserve is a nice community, but like all managed "premier planned" suburban areas they are very Nazi-ish with rules and enforcement. Again, when you're paying over $900 per night it's very off-putting and insulting to constantly be reminded of the rules. They treat you like you're a college kid trying to sneak and throw a frat party while you're parents are away for the weekend. Our rental even had cameras on the house that were actively being monitored (details below). VALUE: I don't normally complain about price so I won't do it here. Let's just say that this place is expensive. I voluntarily paid the money but it's a high price. HOUSE: Nice place, very clean. Premium decor - Texas modern rustic. Complimentary prosecco in the fridge upon arrival was a nice touch. Bring your own food/drinks/condiments (salt, pepper, etc.)/ice. All utensils for just about any kind of cooking and everything needed to have nice dinner parties were there. We had an issue with POOL: I did a cabana rental for 2 days at $50 per day. Rentals include a complimentary pitcher of beer or margarita per day. Pool was nice and in good shape. Lazy river, kids pool and infinity pool as well as swim up bar and snack bar are all part of the pool. You aren't allowed to bring any alcoholic beverages, food, or coolers into the pool area. They did allow us to bring an individual cup or water bottle. They will search your bags for food/alchohol/etc. if you bring large bags. LOCATION: Be prepared to drive 40 minutes to anywhere. There's enough restaurants, entertainment, etc. 45 minutes away. All-in-all this was a good place to stay. The main reason this is not a 5-Star review is because I was contacted by TurnKey with a threatening call because the management/owner were watching us on the Arlo/Netgear camera (Nazi-ish) on the back patio (there's a camera on the front porch and back patio) and thought that one of my guests was on the back patio smoking. None of us are smokers and it was insulting for them to accuse us of smoking (I'll say it again for emphasis... when you're paying over $900 per night).

The Reserve is pretty much like a resort get away! This place is definitely what I would call…read moreposh. My cousin and his family have a membership here and they invited us to come out for the day. When you are driving out there it feels like it is kind of in the middle of nowhere and then all of a sudden this paradise appears. We spent time at the marina. This was the nicest marina I have seen in the Austin area for sure! I could tell everything is taken care of with the utmost care possible. The marina is treated somehow as well so that the cobwebs and spiders don't take over your boat and slip area, which is super nice and convenient. There is also room for outdoor kitchens and patio furniture at the front of each slip. People have grills and stuff out there too. I gathered that it is a thing to just hang out at your slip area and cook out with your friends and family and you may or may not even take the boat out. After we took the boat out and came back in we road the golf cart up to the lazy river. This is where it really started to feel like a resort for me. They have a decent sized lazy river that is so much fun! There is a swim up bar on one side and the bar opens to the deck area on the other side. There are plenty of tables to sit at and chase lounge chairs in the sun and shaded for total comfort and relaxing. I had a few perfectly made margaritas from the bar and had a wonderful time hanging out with my family and floating the lazy river! The Reserve property is actually pretty huge! They also have cabins you can rent out, tennis courts and a park area. There is lots of places to hike around as well. This would be the perfect family get away spot and it is not too far from other cool outdoor things like Krause Springs, Hamilton Pool Park and of course Lake Travis!
