Wow this is my favorite getaway place. My husband and I come up every weekend ! We keep the boat at their Marina and use all the facilities as country club members. We've made some amazing lifelong friends been coming here now for five years. Recommended to everyone and anyone who wants a great place to hang out.

This place is simply amazing. From privately owned vacation homes to quaint little romantic villas, the grounds here have something for everyone. This is the hill country at its finest. The Reserve offers memberships where one can store their boat at the marina and utilize the facilities, or even just be a member to enjoy the stunning views, have cocktails at the club or enjoy the fabulous lazy river and pool. We visited for a weekend with some friends. Our friends parents have purchased a lake house and we rented a private villa. The views everywhere are amazing. I can't wait to come back and stay a whole week.

Absolutely Wonderful. We stayed two nights. The view of the lake is nice. The staff at the swim up bar and the Cypress were great. They were all locals and suggest several fun things to do outside the resort. We stay in one of the cabins. The place was exceptionally clean. The main shower leads to an outdoor shower that can be very romantic. The large bath tub easily fit two people and can also be extremely romantic with the fireplace next to the tub. The amenities are awesome. Lazy river, large water park style water slide, kiddie pool and giant hot tub. Horseback riding and pond fishing is also available. We reserved a cabin for our 15th wedding anniversary and will definitely be back with the kids as it is very kid friendly as well. I must mention that the staff is also extremely friendly and helpful.

The cabins are great. They were nice and cozy with a big tub and a shower that goes from the inside to the outside. You have a lot of privacy and a ton of room to just make it a get away. We spent a lot of time at the pool which was fantastic with an awesome view of Lake Travis. The staff was super nice and friendly. The poll drinks/food was on point. Overall very satisfied.

The hotel was so quiet all the time. No doors slamming, kids running, loud people or crowds. Our room was immaculate! Clean and stocked. Our view was breathtaking. We will definitely be back over and over again. Incredibly wonderful staff. Also, I'd like to add, the people we met were on the same page as us as far as enjoying a happy, safe, fun, drama-free, no violence, no dark vibes or unruly young adults. Oh and did I mention the pools....3 ADULT POOLS (no one under 18) and yes they stay on that. Also, 2 big pools for the little ones. Snacks and drinks, swim up and sit bar. Mixed Bag. Overall,…read morewe had a good experience. The neighborhood and amenities are very nice. The view from the second-story balcony for Independence Day fireworks is spectacular. The house is comfortable for six to seven adults. Communication was stellar until check-in time. Bill and Vanessa were very good via email and text before our arrival. Bill called us at around 1 pm to welcome us and tell us that "the house is ready". Check-in was at 3 pm. We arrived at 3:20 pm and found the cleaning crew was still there. We had to wait outside until 3:45 pm in 96-degree heat until they were done. Vanessa texted, "We will get you a gift card to the beach club grill for the inconvenience". The next morning, I texted Vanessa asking for an extra parking pass. I never heard back from her or Bill. No gift card. No parking pass. A few minor concerns with the property: nasty stains on the carpeting near the entry, GFCI outlets needing to be reset more than once, only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and a nest of red wasps living under the second-story balcony. Yes, these are minor complaints in a world rife with many bigger issues. However, we were disappointed enough to share these concerns. We would certainly return to this area and neighborhood, but not this property.

Thankful for the unforgettable experience and I was especially thankful to get this checked off of my bucket list, to stay in a dome. I get sad when others hold you to a 2-night minimum stay, when some, like me, live down the street and just want the one-night experience and not spend $500+.

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience after my husband and I returned…read moreto Lake Austin Spa and Resort for the first time since it came under new ownership. The resort is now owned by a REIT (real estate investment trust), which typically focuses on maximizing profits by cutting costs--and unfortunately, the effects are noticeable. What We Enjoyed: - The staff and instructors were wonderful, and the classes remain a highlight of the stay. Where It Fell Short: - The renovations have stripped much of the resort's former charm. The spaces now feel commercial and impersonal. - The dining room, once cozy, now resembles a nursing home cafeteria. - Beautiful, home-like furniture has been replaced with generic Westin-style pieces. - Harsh LED sconces and bright LED bulbs in the room diminished the tranquil atmosphere. We often had to keep the lights off to avoid being blinded. - Meals were acceptable in taste but frequently served lukewarm rather than hot, which was especially disappointing for soups. Overall, while the people and programming remain excellent, the atmosphere and attention to detail have been compromised under the new management. This resort used to feel like a home away from home, but now it feels like a commercial property prioritizing margins over guest experience and sub par value based on pricing.

In the morning my husband and I took a shower and we noticed mold on the shower curtains. We tried to sign up for the activities and the hike was full and we were in the wait list. I just couldn't believe that they couldn't have more hikes through out the day for the price that we paid we were on the waitlist for an activity. Unfortunately our son had a stomach bug and ended up in the hospital. He is a type 1 diabetic and if his ketones are high we need to go to the hospital. We had to leave after our first day. We did end up getting a massage which was amazing, however the spa area was lacking. The sauna was cold and super dusty. It was just all around dusty everywhere. I felt so stuffy anytime I walked around the resort. The food was ok but not adequate for the price. So all around sad trip. I don't recommend going there because even though we had to leave for a medical reason we weren't given a partial refund and the manager isn't very understanding. So there goes $5,000!
