Stayed at the 3 BR/8 guest house on Aug. 10-13th. I had an issue on the initial booking identity verification where there was an error on the verification questions. This caused my booking to be cancelled and I had to rebook and reverify. VERY inconvenient but everything got worked out. When you pay $900+ per night you don't want to be inconvenienced while trying to book. The Reserve is a nice community, but like all managed "premier planned" suburban areas they are very Nazi-ish with rules and enforcement. Again, when you're paying over $900 per night it's very off-putting and insulting to constantly be reminded of the rules. They treat you like you're a college kid trying to sneak and throw a frat party while you're parents are away for the weekend. Our rental even had cameras on the house that were actively being monitored (details below). VALUE: I don't normally complain about price so I won't do it here. Let's just say that this place is expensive. I voluntarily paid the money but it's a high price. HOUSE: Nice place, very clean. Premium decor - Texas modern rustic. Complimentary prosecco in the fridge upon arrival was a nice touch. Bring your own food/drinks/condiments (salt, pepper, etc.)/ice. All utensils for just about any kind of cooking and everything needed to have nice dinner parties were there. We had an issue with POOL: I did a cabana rental for 2 days at $50 per day. Rentals include a complimentary pitcher of beer or margarita per day. Pool was nice and in good shape. Lazy river, kids pool and infinity pool as well as swim up bar and snack bar are all part of the pool. You aren't allowed to bring any alcoholic beverages, food, or coolers into the pool area. They did allow us to bring an individual cup or water bottle. They will search your bags for food/alchohol/etc. if you bring large bags. LOCATION: Be prepared to drive 40 minutes to anywhere. There's enough restaurants, entertainment, etc. 45 minutes away. All-in-all this was a good place to stay. The main reason this is not a 5-Star review is because I was contacted by TurnKey with a threatening call because the management/owner were watching us on the Arlo/Netgear camera (Nazi-ish) on the back patio (there's a camera on the front porch and back patio) and thought that one of my guests was on the back patio smoking. None of us are smokers and it was insulting for them to accuse us of smoking (I'll say it again for emphasis... when you're paying over $900 per night). read more

The Reserve is pretty much like a resort get away! This place is definitely what I would call posh. My cousin and his family have a membership here and they invited us to come out for the day. When you are driving out there it feels like it is kind of in the middle of nowhere and then all of a sudden this paradise appears. We spent time at the marina. This was the nicest marina I have seen in the Austin area for sure! I could tell everything is taken care of with the utmost care possible. The marina is treated somehow as well so that the cobwebs and spiders don't take over your boat and slip area, which is super nice and convenient. There is also room for outdoor kitchens and patio furniture at the front of each slip. People have grills and stuff out there too. I gathered that it is a thing to just hang out at your slip area and cook out with your friends and family and you may or may not even take the boat out. After we took the boat out and came back in we road the golf cart up to the lazy river. This is where it really started to feel like a resort for me. They have a decent sized lazy river that is so much fun! There is a swim up bar on one side and the bar opens to the deck area on the other side. There are plenty of tables to sit at and chase lounge chairs in the sun and shaded for total comfort and relaxing. I had a few perfectly made margaritas from the bar and had a wonderful time hanging out with my family and floating the lazy river! The Reserve property is actually pretty huge! They also have cabins you can rent out, tennis courts and a park area. There is lots of places to hike around as well. This would be the perfect family get away spot and it is not too far from other cool outdoor things like Krause Springs, Hamilton Pool Park and of course Lake Travis! read more

We have stayed 2 times at The Reserve and expect to go back soon! The property has 12 cabins you can rent out for a great romantic getaway. Each cabin is it's own small house. Large tub by fireplace, indoor/outdoor shower, king beds that are very comfortable. Quiet and relaxing. There is a lazy river pool, swim up bar and hot tub. The Cypress Lodge serves up some great gourmet dishes. We had the Chateaubriand steak which was cooked perfect paired with a great red wine. Some nights they have activities for the property homeowners and it is a great place to meet some good Texas folk! Rent a golf cart and drive around The Reserve, check out the huge marina on the lake and see the stars. Loved our time there! Thank you!! read more

This place is simply amazing. From privately owned vacation homes to quaint little romantic villas, the grounds here have something for everyone. This is the hill country at its finest. The Reserve offers memberships where one can store their boat at the marina and utilize the facilities, or even just be a member to enjoy the stunning views, have cocktails at the club or enjoy the fabulous lazy river and pool. We visited for a weekend with some friends. Our friends parents have purchased a lake house and we rented a private villa. The views everywhere are amazing. I can't wait to come back and stay a whole week. read more

Absolutely Wonderful. We stayed two nights. The view of the lake is nice. The staff at the swim up bar and the Cypress were great. They were all locals and suggest several fun things to do outside the resort. We stay in one of the cabins. The place was exceptionally clean. The main shower leads to an outdoor shower that can be very romantic. The large bath tub easily fit two people and can also be extremely romantic with the fireplace next to the tub. The amenities are awesome. Lazy river, large water park style water slide, kiddie pool and giant hot tub. Horseback riding and pond fishing is also available. We reserved a cabin for our 15th wedding anniversary and will definitely be back with the kids as it is very kid friendly as well. Both my husband & my back is killing us after sleeping on the hard yet cheap mattress in cabin 13. No grills on premises so we purchased one from HEB. Though there is a sink, mini fridge they do not provide dish soap either. The pool lazy river is nice with a beautiful view but I would not choose to stay here again considering how bad the bed was. read more

The cabins are great. They were nice and cozy with a big tub and a shower that goes from the inside to the outside. You have a lot of privacy and a ton of room to just make it a get away. We spent a lot of time at the pool which was fantastic with an awesome view of Lake Travis. The staff was super nice and friendly. The poll drinks/food was on point. My husband and I recently had our wedding at The Reserve and we couldn't have been happier! Here is a breakdown of our amazing experience: 1) Booking Process: We started off with reservations at another local resort and there happened to be a scheduling issue/poor customer service. We then called around to a TON of local venues/resorts but no place would accommodate an elopement (just the two of us). I guess they only catered to large parties. After days of frustrating phone calls, our wonderful photographer (Sherry Hammonds Photography) recommended the Reserve. I called Guest Services and spoke with Ellen who was fabulous! Because she was so friendly and accommodating, we booked the same day. 2) Wedding Planning: Our Wedding Coordinator, Christine, was phenomenal! Not only was she incredibly responsive but provided superior customer service in her offerings, suggestions and flexibility. She made it so easy for an out-of-state bride to plan a wedding. I had no worries at all during the weeks leading up to the event because of all her efforts. 3) Accommodations: The rental cabins exceeded our expectations. They were way better than a hotel or standard resort having a large bedroom, HUGE bathroom, outdoor shower, fireplace, kitchenette and front porch. They were very well kept, clean, modern and cozy. Again, way better than standard resort rooms. 4) The Grounds: This community is so unique with all the amenities. Our wedding ceremony was right next to the lake under beautiful trees and had a sunset dinner by the Cypress Club Lodge. We had plenty of beautiful spots for photos. The different backgrounds and scenes made it look as though we were in completely different zip codes. 5) Food: Our Chef prepared a custom 7 course meal with wine pairings and it was sensational! It was great to pick everything in advance and was prepared with high quality ingredients. Our Chef came out and checked on us afterwards which was a nice touch. Overall, this venue was the PERFECT spot for our wedding. We are so happy we did not go somewhere else as we wouldn't have had the same level of service and hospitality as we did from the reserve staff. Stayed at one of the cabins at the Reserve at Lake Travis. This place is amazing. Beautiful architecture, beautiful scenery, extremely relaxing environment. It's a bit pricey, but worth every penny. Only regret is we didn't have a boat to park at the marina and enjoy the lake more, but the amazing pool and swim up bar easily made up for that! 10/10, highly recommend! read more

I want to start off by saying this venue is absolutely amazing. It would make for a great weekend getaway and place to relax. I wish I could say the same for our wedding but it was a nightmare. All the wedding planning was going fantastic until they changed the coordinator on us to Christine and it fell apart. She was very very rude and impossible to work with. I do not understand why she was on a power trip at such a beautiful location. If you are looking at this venue to have your wedding at, I highly recommend that you not walk but run away if Christine is the coordinator. read more

We just went over President's weekend for a girls trip. When the stay was booked, we asked if we would have access to all the amenities (pool, tennis courts, restaurant, etc). They told us we would. The day before we left on the trip we received a call and they told us the pool was closed as it was off season (it was still 80 degrees out) and being resurfaced. They also told us the restaurant was closed for off season so there wasn't any food options on site. When we got there, we found out to use the tennis courts you needed your own rackets and balls. We had planned on spending most of our time on site enjoying the resort but with everything closed and no food, we had to leave everyday and go other places. We ran out of toilet paper but weren't on site to call and ask for more during office hours so we had to get our own as they didn't replenish anything in our cabin the 5 days we were there. We wanted to use the fire pit for s'mores by the lake and were told we could and would have all the supplies we needed but there wasn't a lighter, very little firewood, and no skewers or sticks to roast marshmallows on. When we told them our frustrations, they did refund the $18 per day resort fee and 10% off but it still didn't make up for us not getting to utilize the resort the way we had hoped! It might be a fantastic place in the summer but don't go during their "off" season! read more
