The treehouse itself was amazing and it was a dream come true for us as we have both wanted to stay in a treehouse since we were kids! I mean who doesn't have a childhood dream of staying in a treehouse but there's not many opportunities to do so growing up in a city. We had a relaxing 2 days here where we enjoyed the soaking tub, read in the reading nook, laid out on Big Joe, had our morning tea and coffee outside in nature, bird watching and so much more! It was so quiet and its truly just a time for you to connect with nature. The treehouse itself is beautiful, modern and the layout and design is truly thought out to immerse you in nature. You are surrounding by trees whichever glass window you look at. It is so quiet, you feel suspended in the trees! My favorite part of the treehouse which I had figured out the moment I was leaving was that everything you pour into the kitchen sink...goes right to the floor 30 feet down. Water gets poured back into nature below! My hubby was pouring out the tea I did not finish and I just so happened to be standing outside the front door with our luggage when I heard loud water being splashed. I peaked down and saw the tea go straight down. That was the coolest! I had booked this trip way before COVID and due to the pandemic, the zip lining tour was cancelled. But, it's ok as we still had a fantastic time staying here! The price for the Yoki per night is very expensive and I would recommend for the owners to at least provide breakfast every morning. A hand delivered breakfast would be a very nice touch. Shout out to Shelby for keeping me in the loop the whole time and when I needed shower gel & Kleenex she arranged for it to happen. Keep in mind this is nature and there are bugs/insects everywhere. The restroom is a place were they like to hide. We saw spiders, scorpions, grasshopper, centipedes, wasps in there. FYI- there is no body lotion or hair dryer in case those things are important to you, please bring those! Otherwise everything else that a hotel normally has, is provided. We had such a great time and my hubby is so happy and surprised that I booked such a beautiful place to share with him!

My partner had the carrots, which were also tasty with a slight smoky flavor. We had the dulce de leche cheesecake as well. It was very delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Every detail of this place is absolutely gorgeous. My husband and I were married here in April 2024 and we seriously talk about this venue and all of its magic at least once a week since then. We wanted to have a small intimate gathering that had a very organic look. In the spring, this place really comes to life, the birds, the butterflies, the way the light shines through the windows in La Casa De Joy, everything felt like a fairytale. The venue is tucked away in a sweet lakeside neighborhood as well so the drive there in the spring is country roads lined with wildflowers and bluebonnets which was an added plus. We rented the entire venue and had some guests stay in the other houses on the property while we stayed in La Casa De Joy and everyone absolutely loved it. We heard nothing but positive things from every guest. Such a unique venue. Not to mention, Travis, the property manager was an absolute delight to work with. Really so so kind and understanding of our wants and needs and was truly there to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be coming back to relive our wedding day each year with a stay at La Casa De Joy. Truly such a gem of an experience. My highest recommendations to anyone looking to relax, reconnect, breathe and just be present. Go to this place!!

BUT, everything goes down hill when the food and and servers are horrible. The food super cold and the servers were cold as well. Servers didn't pick up salad plates when serving entrees. All of our food was cold, the chicken, veggies and bread were iced cold. I wouldn't do an event here knowing how it is. The only positive besides view and location was the bartender. Lori was amazing and very serviceable. Her attitude and customer service was on point. But for sure. I works recommend this place unless is just for pictures.

Out of all the venues I looked at, The Terrace was the most affordable for my budget and I didn't need to worry about table or chair rentals. They have a kitchen, walk-in fridge, and regular freezer so you have access to set-up in the back or early off of supplies. While this vineyard wasn't quite as glamorous or mind-blowing as some of the other ones I visited, it still ended up being a pretty good experience. The main tasting room is on the smaller side, but it wasn't too busy when I visited so there was plenty of seating. They also had a TV playing the World Cup, which was a nice bonus. There was only one person working that day so he definitely had his hands full. I did have to go up to the counter whenever I was ready to try my next wine, but it actually gave me an opportunity to interact with some of the other guests and spend a little more time exploring the property. The outdoor area was really cute with a small stream running through the property and a designated photo-op area. I also noticed a second building that looked like it could be rented out for parties or weddings, which would be a nice option for events. But let's talk about the wine! My tasting consisted mostly of reds, with the Cabernet Franc being the personal standout for me. Honestly all of the reds were pretty good and the only wine I tried that I didn't particularly care for was the white. For the price point and the convenience of not having to drive all the way out to Fredericksburg, Spicewood Vineyard struck the perfect balance for me for a weekend winery outing. It may not have been the most impressive vineyard of the day, but it was still a fun and worthwhile stop.
