We came to the area for work and saw this place on the map. We were exhausted and called to see if it was possible to check in early. They were super accommodating!! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the room was perfect. We got the Waco room. I could have spent dayssssss in that tub!!! I loved this place and can't wait to come back. Don't be afraid to ask for local recommendations from the guys at the front desk. They nailed every place they suggested to us. Had my wedding "postponed" due to the Covid-19 Pandemic that was scheduled for march. 70 guest, everything paid for and what do they tell me. Oh we can just reschedule this year... no...no we cant "just reschedule". But it's not like we had a choice, because if I didnt sign an addendum to reschedule within the next 48hrs, I would have either had to proceed with my wedding, with no guest, or forfeit all the money time and effort that went into this and cancel with no refund. So trying not to get fucked out of my venue and wedding plans, I signed. Now, all of us know this quarantine and social distancing will go on for a few months like the president and the CDC recommends. Here's my issue.. Not only are most of my guest from out of state they are mostly military. I cant just tell them.. okay everyone we might have a ceremony in june! Rearrange your priorities for me. Also, I was set to relocate in June out of Austin to FL. So when exactly would I fucking reschedule. How do I ask friends and family who got laid off to buy a plane ticket and hotel again?! I ask for a refund because THIS IS A FUCKING PANDEMIC, and they say no.. YALL HAVE NO FUCKING MORALS! . JUST FUCK ME AND MY WHOLE SITUATION HUH?! Booked this room for my wife for Mother's Day, specifically because of the tub. Very pleased with the tub, she spent most of her time there. The lakeside view was gorgeous and I spent much time on the balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful. The shower was barely usable, reminded me of an outdoor camp shower you use to rinse off after being in the lake, Not something I'd consider using to actually wash myself. But that's not why this place lost 2 stars; the bed was awful, absolutely awful. We both tossed and turned all night and barely got any sleep because we couldn't get comfortable, it was hard and squeaky and the mattress itself looks like it's from the 50's. I know they are the "vintage" villas, but for $210 a night I expect a better bed. It was hands down the most uncomfortable night of sleep I've ever had. I would not ever EVER stay here again unless they got new beds, I'd get better sleep outside on a cot. I've stayed at motel 6 for $50 a night with a nicer bed than this. Beautiful views, amazing bathtubs, clean and quaint. I'm sure it's great for weddings, but unless you find sleeping on a stone slab comfy, I wouldn't recommend a night here. read more

Very disappointing. They had a great photographer take the pics of this place. Definitely not what the place is like!!! It's VERY out dated and strange. The place rooms need a complete overhaul. I'd say that Motel 6 would be better. The furniture and decor is weirdly put together. Old. Smells old and musty. The bathrooms need DESPERATELY to be updated. Shower terrible. Faucets terrible. It's not very clean. The sheets do not fit this bed...see photo attached. The picture of fruit in the bathroom is just odd. We we're almost spooked at this place. Won't be staying here again. There are lots of nice places around the lake. Pictures are so deceiving!!! I think the best thing I can say is that the grounds are nice... they use them for wedding pictures. read more

This is our second stay. The views are beautiful and in the morning, windy and refreshing to sit outside no matter the season. Restaurants are plentiful and close by. Check-in and check-out were easy. Our stay this time was OK. We stayed in the newer middle building. The rooms are comfortable; however, I truly stress that the entire resort needs some upgrading. The shower leaks, mold on shower curtain, paint is peeling from cabinets, drawers won't open. Also, beware of loud neighbors who play music outside and have loud conversations after midnight seriously a few feet from your balcony. During our first morning, we were running late and arrived at breakfast at 9:47. We walked in and the servers had already picked up almost all of the food to the kitchen. They told us they were closed and I reminded them that we had more than 10 minutes. They seemed righteously unapologetic and we only had fruit, juice, and coffee, all with ugly stares from them. Great way to treat your guests! This is a paid breakfast BTW. Overall, I would stay here again only at off season. Location truly has potential but hotel itself needs some care. read more

What a dump. This place was billed as the ultimate vintage wedding venue but they did not say that their rooms were last updated at the turn of the century. No clock, no luggage rack, no elevator, no bellman. The windows were last cleaned when the cowboy's left town. The lighting was dismal and provided poor illumination in the bedroom but really bad in the bathroom. The vanity was 32" wide with no room for toiletries. The shower was tiny as well. And to top it off, they charged $263.00 per night. read more

I recently bought a living social for this place to use on a little getaway with my boyfriend. After staying two nights we both seemed to decide it was okay, but not what we expected. The pictures online boasted lavish bath tubs and private balconies which are apparently only the king bedrooms and we had a queen. At first, we were in the east texas (?) Villa and our room didn't have a balcony and it seemed reminiscent of my childhood bedroom instead of a romantic villa. We asked to switch rooms and fortunately we could and our second room was somewhat better but didn't match the pictures online. The new room had a shared balcony with another room next to us. Also, there is NO ELEVATOR (that we could see anyway) so be prepared to hike. The walls were also paper thin and echoed everything. The shower in our bedroom was big enough to fit a small family which was nice. Aaron at the front desk was very nice and accommodating, and upon checkin we were given a couple papers with suggestions for good spots to eat and acticities to do which was nice too. Breakfast both days we were there was AMAZING, but other than that, not much to write home about. read more

Love the location, view etc With some moderately minor "attention to detail" items to work out (mostly maintenance), it is still a good place overall. Don't really need a pool though a few indicate it here. To me it's more of a B&B in some ways so pool is not expected here. Yes you hear other guests and would hope the guests would all be respectful of the atmosphere but outside of better insulated walls/ceilings, this is not really a VV problem per se. Was not a big deal for our trip. Breakfast was odd though. Good enough buffet selection from eggs, breads fruits etc, just never saw any employees the first day, but heard them in a kitchen area. We served ourselves, ate, waited some more wondering if we need a bill or what and eventually we left as our time is valuable. The meal was included in our rate but not sure if so for all guests or not, but still just odd not to see anyone. Get out there and engage your guests some VV. The 2nd day we did see someone once or twice though no direct interaction. No big deal, I could have gone to front desk to ask, but hey I don't think I should have to. When I walk up to the front desk area in the mornings, the lady there does not look up to engage you unless you are at the counter. Even though it is right by the door, no eye contact or "hello" etc. A flaw in the service industry. I've had simple places do better. It's more welcoming to be greeted etc. OH, forgot an odd one. Our room (Bryan/CS) had an odd power issue. (a water one too but..) My 3-prong laptop power adapter would not work without kicking in and out every few seconds. Something to do with power phase or grounding as it works everywhere else but that one place. Odd. Old wiring maybe. Overall, quite good, and I'd go back for sure. This is a lovely, charming hotel far from the bustling city. If you want a peaceful, low key getaway, this is it. I love the little details that go into this place. The creeping vine on the side of the buildings, the outdoor commons patio area with cushy seats, the plentiful lush foliage, and even the little fountain in the back. The staff was very courteous and helpful, and it really made a difference. I stayed on the third floor. No, there is no elevator, but if you packed lightly for one day like I did, it should not be a problem. Otherwise I would suggest a second story room so you can still enjoy somewhat of a view. I stayed in Room 231, a charming corner room with a king sized bed. It was furnished with a matching antique dresser and desk set. The bed frame looked also to be an antique. This room had a private balcony with a great view of the struggling Lake Travis, plagued by low water levels the past few years. The bathroom was spacious, and the hot water was very hot. I did not use the hot tub. There were a few spots that could gave used a layer of paint, but no biggie. My only major complaint would be the struggling free wifi, but that's rather common in hotels. The free continental breakfast we had was pretty basic and standard -- cereal, muffins, toast, fruit, oatmeal, cheese, and hard boiled eggs. My favorite thing was the quiche. The best part was though, I had left my adapter in the room after checking out. I called, and they were able to locate it and mailed it back to me free of charge. I would definitely consider using them again for a relaxing stay. read more

We had a Groupon for this place. There was a nice balcony, and it had a great view of the lake. But you also had to stare right at the people on the adjacent balcony, who are about a foot away. So that detracted from the romantic experience a little. It takes about 40 minutes to get there from Austin and we stayed two nights. The best part is that Hudsons on the Bend is 1/4 mile away. Yum. The other lake-side restaurants out there are pretty underwhelming: Iguana Grill, Carlos and Charlies, Oasis. The decor is rustic and there was enough room to get around. The tub was huge, but our sunburns from our day out on the lake prohibited us from taking full advantage of it the second night. The breakfast got some terrible reviews on here, but it was fine, especially since it came free with the groupon. Think: bacon, eggs, cereal, coffee, sausage. Sort of like dining hall food in college on a Sunday. I don't think I would go here again, but there was nothing to really complain about either. It was a nice place to go for a romantic getaway, especially if you want some time on the lake, which is much fuller than in 2011. But I think it would have been nicer to go to Fredericksburg in the late Fall. read more

A very beautiful spot. Set up high to see Lake Travis. We wanted a B&B and we're booked for one at Robins Nest unfortunately she was over booked due to computer errors. She was kind enough to call around and found us a place at VV. This place is very nice with antique fixtures and some great taxidermy pieces which I highly enjoy. Great walk of the property. Decent Continental breakfast. Super nice staff. Couple of things that I did not care for or maybe it's just me. I won't let my rating be discouraged by other people's actions. It is a place where weddings are held. I'm not going to go into super details. I will say after getting down after a wedding till the weeee hours of the morning and drunkin different personalities will be an experience if you are there for a wedding. It was not quite. My husband and I came here for an anniversary trip. I can not say enough good things about the Vintage Villas, we loved it. We stayed during the week and it wasn't overly crowded or at least we couldn't tell. Our room was spacious and the view was amazing from our privste balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Breakfast was outstanding, its served buffet style and then the lafies fill your coffee or juice at your table! While there are no amenities, pool, fitness area, etc. We knew that going in and that wad never an issue. We enjoyed hanging out in our private balcony. Overall fantastic place to stay! read more

If I could 0 star this review, I absolutely would. We do not recommend this venue. I made an appointment with Meagan to view the venue. The day of the appointment, me and my fiancé showed up on time with my future mother in law. This was the interaction: My fiancé knocked on the office door, Meagan answered the door and just looked at my fiancé. He introduced himself and then introduced me and my mother in law. She said "Ok." there was a long silent pause. I then spoke up and reminded her of the set appointment and she again said "Ok"- i then asked her if we can go and view the grounds. She led us up the stairs to the ceremony area. In absolute silence. We got to the ceremony area and she said "this is the ceremony area." that was it. No added information. It was becoming a very awkward situation for us. I tried engaging her by asking how many people could fit in the space. She simply said "300"- again, awkward silence. I asked her to view the reception area. She led us to the reception area and as we entered she said "this is where the reception is held" (i mean.... obviously)- but her one liners were rubbing me the wrong way. Continuing trying to get more information from her i asked how many people the reception area could hold and she simply responded "300" - at that point i told Meagan we would not be booking with her and she responded with a monotone "ok"-- so I'm not sure what happened to her that day. I'm not sure if she was in a bad mood. Didn't like us. didn't like how we were dressed. Maybe she didn't sleep well that night. I'm not sure. But nothing about this interaction was welcoming. It deterred us from wanting to book with them. So id recommend Milestone Georgetown because Reagan is AMAZING! read more

I was married here in June 2009. My coordinator was Becky, and I am thoroughly pleased with absolutely everything! We used Complete Music, Vintage Villa's preferred DJ vendor. They were awesome. Becky always responded promptly to emails and phone calls, which is much to her credit since she probably answers all of the same silly emails from several brides throughout the week. Our ceremony was flawless (though I walked too fast! my own fault!), and are always complimented on how gorgeous the location and view was (we had our ceremony & reception at the larger of the two choices, forget their names). Becky was on her toes keeping things moving along, helping guests if necessary. I never for a second worried about what to do or when to do it, it was all taken care of. (Seriously, even if you don't book VV, make sure you have (at least) a day-of coordinator!) The reception was also lovely. Everything went according to plan, with just one minor issue that was dealt with in .5 seconds. I can't tell you how many times I've been told our food was the best food that that person has ever had at a wedding! Maybe it's a little bit flattery, but it's not like they said "the food was great!" They say time and again that the food was the best they'd ever had! Getting ready in our complimentary honeymoon suite was also lovely, and--this is really thoughtful--there were two packaged dinners from our reception in the fridge for us when we got back to our room! My bridesmaids and I were brought two bottles of champagne throughout the getting-ready process. It really was so wonderful! I can't think of a single negative thing to say. My best friend's wedding was held here last week and it was really lovely. The view of the lake is spectacular and the indoor and outdoor wedding facilities are tasteful and very accommodating. Not to mention that the food at the reception was actually delicious! (Imagine that...) I leave off one star for 2 reasons: 1. If you're going to have a hotel dedicated to weddings....put some attention into the bathrooms in the guest rooms! There were no mirrors on the doors, so there was no way to see the back of yourself (which every girl knows is a MUST before a formal event where a photographer will be shooting you from every angle) the sink made a horrible banging noise when you turned on the water, and the shower had no shelving to put your shampoo, soap, conditioner, shaving cream, razor, etc. 2. Get a bar. If you're going to kick people out of the dance hall at 11pm, don't come knocking and calling every five minutes when the party moves to the bride and groom's suite. We would have gladly gone to the bar...if there had been one. And we weren't even being loud! But the hotel police would not leave us alone until they broke up the after party. Room was filthy and bed linens were old and I did not feel like it was worth the hype. Old not well maintained property and for a Stash hotel it was pitiful. View ok if you are on a high floor. This place creeped out my children the guard rails coming out of the Sheetrock and the bugs and a porch light mystery to turn on is in a hidden plate that appears to be a thermostat but is not. Old ratty carpet in the first floor rooms the third floor a bit nicer. Breakfast buffet nothing special if you get there after 8 good luck, bugs flying around. Staff nice but answering service not ideal when you need to check in. No elevator and no bellmen either. I would not have my wedding here. read more

My husband and I had our wedding and wedding reception in The Wedding Center at Vintage Villas on February 4, 2012. It was an all-around fantastic experience! What drew us to Vintage Villas (VV) over other wedding venues was their inclusive package. We could have our ceremony and reception at the same location and we could order the food and beverages (including alcohol) directly through VV. Additionally, items like table linens, china, silverware, and cake cutting were included at no additional charge. This saved us a lot of money and our guests had no idea! We worked mostly with Lauren Allen to plan our special day. She helped us through the entire process and was very responsive to e-mails. About a month and a half before the wedding, we had a "detailing appointment" to walk through everything. This took a lot of anxiety away for me about the big day. VV also provided a list of recommended vendors and we used a wedding planner (Pearl Events), Officiant (Austin Weddings Unlimited) and DJ (Complete Music DJ) through their helpful list. We reserved the East Texas Villa for all of our out of town guests on Friday and Saturday (day of the wedding). We especially liked this Villa (1 of 3 villas on the property) because of the common area on the ground floor where guests can congregate. Additionally, since we were able to fully book the villa with of our guests (about 14 rooms), the large suite on the 3rd floor was comped to us. Fantastic! We were very pleased with this lovely, expansive room! Our day was very special because we added several personal details, which VV was helpful in supporting, ensuring everything was to our liking. The staff was helpful and the food was fantastic. Our guests absolutely RAVED about the food. (We ordered "The Celebration" and also had hors d'oeuvres before we sat down to eat.) I really can't say enough about how much we loved VV and how absolutely perfect the day was. I would highly recommend them if you are thinking about them as a venue for your wedding. read more

I can imagine that however your wedding day went overall would greatly skew your review of this place. Luckily, my wedding day went really well, with only a couple of hiccups here and there. Since we got to stay in one of the rooms, I'll include that in my review as well. Lisa Pritchett did a great job of getting back to me in a timely manner, explaining all the details, answering all my stupid questions (while assuring me they weren't stupid, and sometimes more than once) and overall reassuring me that the wedding was going to go smoothly and I was doing everything I needed to do. The food was also wonderful. All the guests commented on how delicious everything was. The only thing I noticed is that there was no salad even though there was one in the tasting, and it was SO GOOD. They did pack us two servings of everything from the buffet and leave it in the fridge of our room, plus a bottle of champagne and cake. They didn't pack up any of the leftovers, and maybe that's just something that happens when the venue also caters the event. The venue itself is grogeous, which means you don't have to do a ton of decorating. The views are awesome. The good: Our Master Suite was basically a one bedroom, open concept apartment. There was a kitchen, a small dining table with chairs, couch, love seat, everything. Then a huge bedroom with armoirs and large bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower. The view from our balcony to the lake was breath taking, and watching the sun come up was perfect. The only negative was there was no fan in the bedroom. The only thing that bothered me is that you couldn't hear the music (located in the ball room) in the dining area. It would have been nice to hear the back ground music during our lovely meal. Riddle me this: How would I rate a bed and breakfast that had an uncomfortable bed and a lackluster breakfast...surprisingly well, actually. Let's start at the beginning; my wife and I decided to spend our anniversary at a Bed and Breakfast and a well timed Groupon made our decision to stay at Vintage Villas very easy. I went in not knowing anything about Vintage Villas, but I was looking forward to the experience. When we arrived and checked in, we walked to our room only to find the cleaning lady still working on the room. We tried to tell her that we could come back, but she was too busy yelling into the phone to listen to us. The manager quickly came and apologized to us and gave us a new room, but it was not the best first impression. In the new room, the first thing I noticed that I could not see the TV from bed thanks to an enclosed armoire. I know, I know, I shouldn't be worried about TV when I am celebrating with my lovely wife, but I like to relax with a little idiot box. I took the TV (nice flat screen) out of the base and positioned it on a table, yet this MacGyvering should not have to happen. The bed and sheets were nice, but my back was complaining the next morning. The breakfast provided was a continental with a fairly small selection (fruits, eggs, muffins, wheat pancakes, and some quiche). While none of it was bad, I just couldn't justify the additional ten dollar charge to partake of it. So with all the negatives how could I still give it a positive review? One word: location. The view of the lake was extraordinary. The room had a patio that allowed my wife to just set outside and stare in wonder. The view of the room was great too, since it was beautifully decorated and included a whirlpool. There is no doubt that I will go to Vintage Villas again, I just might bring my own pillow next time. read more

Lauren Allen was our event coordinator and she did an amazing job. Very positive and upbeat is what every bride needs when they are nervous and antsy. The room set up was done perfectly. She was willing to help with anything that we needed. Her assistant Lisa was amazing as well. I had her running back and forth to my room for some items I had forgotten/needed. Second the food was incredible. All the guests commented on how great and carefully prepared the food was. The beef tenderloin was moist and not overdone. The crab cakes had the best flavor. Also having an event at Vintage Villas saves time and coordination especially since all food is catered on site. The hotel suite was a perfect ending to our day. Nearly a decade (and 2 kids) later, we stayed at Vintage Villas again. We stayed in the same building as before. Apparently there is a renovated building, but it was booked solid on a Sunday night. With that said, the building we were in was wonderful. Didn't age at all over the years. Beautiful views of the lake from our private patio, and the room was very clean. The bed very comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely, though not as special as last time. They only offered one hot dish and the rest was continental. Which is great, just my memory of the breakfast 10 years ago was above and beyond. We also had the entire place to ourselves last time on a Monday morning, and today was very eventful, so that might have something to do with comfort level on my end. I would also recommend a different take on the chips and salsa package. Chips super stale and I would do all Corona Extra and no lights. But it was beautifully presented. Overall, beautiful hotel. Let me first say, Vintage Villas was gorgeous and the staff was lovely to work with from my point of view. VV wasn't our first venue option because it was roughly 30 min from the church (ceremony site) and I was afraid my guests would complain about the drive. We hired a planner outside of Vintage Villas because we do not live in Texas. After the planner and my parents visited the site and chatted with Lauren, we eventually booked with VV because we felt they had the most bang for your buck. Plus, they have a hotel on site for you and your guests! This ended up working out perfect. The contract signing process was a little time consuming. I work in the events industry so I was very detailed with what we were signing. I recommend reading every detail of your contract! The staff at VV are responsible for sales... They are friendly and professional but also run a business. This goes with any wedding venue, but you can stay within your budget if you are smart! Once the contract was signed, it was basically smooth sailing. Our wedding planner took care of most details but I was very hands on. I was adamant on being aware of the minimum we agreed to and sticking to the budget. Again, we do not live in Texas so I emailed or called Lauren once or twice a month. Lauren is a doll to work with. Does she ever get annoyed, angry, or upset? Every time I contacted her with something minor or ridiculous (from what I thought) she was the sweetest thing. Our wedding coordinator and Lauren also emailed back and forth with details and always copied me on them. The hotel staff was friendly and the booking process was worry-free. The hotel staff even held our bags until our room was ready. Special Highlights: -food is delicious! We received numerous compliments about the food. -The wedding package included a complimentary suite. The suite was AMaZIng and huge! -an additional wedding was going in at the second courtyard around the same time and I wasn't even aware until ours ended. -complimentary breakfast for the bride and groom A few lowlights: -the villas (hotel rooms) walls are very thin. Bring earplugs if you want a good nights sleep! -a signature drink costs extra :( -the villas could use a face lift.. They need better maintenance and upkeep. read more

My wife and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Vintage Villas, and everything turned out great. The location is beautiful. Our planners were super helpful and responsive to our inquiries. The food was good, and the night itself flowed very smoothly. I do have two complaints. First, Vintage Villas is a little bit too strict in their policies. For instance, they won't let you change your guest count sooner than two weeks before the wedding. When we asked why, they said it's because they have to order the right amount of food and that they'd already placed the orders for the meals. Fair enough, that makes sense. We then asked them not to charge us for drinks for people who wouldn't be attending, and they refused, even though they had no justification for charging us. Lame. Also, you won't be able to throw rice, bird seed, sparkles, or anything that isn't going to disappear by itself (we used bubbles). My second complaint is that they will hit you with some random/sneaky fees. For instance, we were told that if we choose one of their "preferred" vendors to DJ our wedding then we wouldn't have to pay the $350 event coordinator fee. What they don't tell you is that the DJ company will charge you an additional $300 because the standard package isn't available at VV, even though the actual service provided is practically the exact same thing as the standard package. Overall though, these are fairly minor things that I imagine you can expect from most commercial event centers. OK, Vintage Villas. Lets have a talk. I fell in love with you years ago at a bat mitzvah and spent hour looking at your pretty pictures on your website and dreaming of coming back-- just for the beautiful view if nothing else. After a groupon for a nights stay popped up, I nabbed it and took my bf on a romantic overnight stay. The good - The front desk staff was really friendly - The room was clean and comfortable - The view was beautiful - The breakfast was the best hotel one yet The bad - The extra 35 dollar charge on top of my groupon that was not explained - The room we had was right next door to a whole wedding party. I am not sure if the hotel was totally full or not, but I wish we had been put elsewhere. Things were calm and quiet until they all came back at like one in the morning, partying up a storm and keeping us up . ( Yes, I am a grandma sometimes.)The walls are really thin here. We were going to call the front desk but realized there was no staff reachable after 12. - No pool I still think vintage villas is totally breathtaking, but the experience left me a little less then thrilled. read more

So I had a dear friend get married at Vintage Villas this weekend so I headed on down to Austin to attend. Initially I booked 2 nights here but then canceled it and stayed for only the wedding night. Why you ask? Well, I'll tell you! When I looked it up online I realized holy crap, this place is way far away from a lot of fun things. Then I called and asked if anything was within walking distance. It isn't. And since it is out on the lake it kind of has a romantic vibe, so I didn't really want to be out there by myself. So anyway, yeah, this is far away from Austin proper but hot damn is is beautiful out here. My room had a king bed with 4 huge pillows and a big whirlpool tub in the bathroom. It also has a microwave, a fridge, coffee maker, etc. And it is decorated in a Southwestern design which makes it pretty cute. I had a balcony overlooking the lake too, so that was nice to relax and check out this area of Austin that I had never seen. The weddings are held in the courtyard where there is a gazebo and it overlooks the lake. Quite the nice setup. Right beside there is a building that houses the event venue. There's room for a buffet line, a full dinner table setup, and then an area for dancing/DJ, etc. We had appetizers and booze before the buffet was served which was nice. Then the buffet had things like chicken fried chicken and prime rib. I am not sure if it is some sort of package deal or if they used the hotel chef or what, but the food was pretty good! Event people were also very good about telling you when/where to be. Also the wedding suite was really huge and had a big sliding door. The building also had rooms for all the wedding party and in the main area was a big communal living room area....this is where the after party took place. That was fun too! The area has restaurants and shops fairly nearby if you drive. I was able to find a CVS and a Mexican restaurant for lunch so it had some things around if you were willing/able to drive to it. So I'd say if you want a romantic getaway with your honey or you want to have a wedding, this is the place. But if you want to be near the city then this will disappoint you. read more

This hotel sits over Lake Travis in Austin. It has amazing views and is the quintessential wedding spot. We came here to attend a wedding and decide to take our lodging at the villas. The villas are quaint and does not have the large hotel feel. These villas do not have elevators so you might be lugging all of your stuff up and down the stairs. The best part of the rooms were the large showers with two heads. I especially enjoyed waking up to the fresh, breathtaking breeze and views. We were situated for the perfect sunset and sunrise. It is very romantic for the couple who is getting married and those who were attending. read more

My reply to Rosemary Baker: I was not trying to get a "one-on-one" visit with Jenna while I was at the bridal extravaganza and I certainly was not trying to sit there and go through my wedding and make changes. I was completely aware of the detailing appointment which I knew I could use to talk in details and make any changes if necessary. Like I stated on my original review, I went up to her to ask some questions regarding my wedding b/c no other customers were there and I had no intentions of taking up much time. The questions I had were not complex and Jenna obviously made the choice to look up the info on her laptop. However, if opening up the laptop to look up some times of a client's wedding is too much of a hassle, I could have been told that there is no time or enough info to provide at the time instead of expressing an aggravated attitude. read more

My husband and I cannot say enough about how much we loved having our wedding at Vintage Villas!! We are THRILLED with our decision to get married there. First of all, the entire place is GORGEOUS. The views are amazing, so our outdoor wedding was unbelievably beautiful. Our guests (who were mostly from out of town) raved about how pretty Austin is and I was asked multiple times if Vintage Villas is where everyone in Austin tries to have their weddings. The interior rooms are beautiful, too, so our reception was as lovely as the ceremony! The staff is also completely incredible. They answered SO many questions, were very accommodating, and helped us through the entire process. Jenna, our day of coordinator, made sure everything went smoothly. We didn't have to worry or stress about anything! I'm not kidding- the entire day was perfect. And my husband and I honestly had very little to do with that! We were able to relax and enjoy the whole day because everything was taken care of for us. Jenna went above and beyond through the whole process, but especially on our wedding day- she even bustled my dress before the dancing started! The food and drinks were amazing- our guests made sure to tell us how much they enjoyed dinner. And we blocked off an entire villa since our friends and family were coming from out of town, which meant that we got a free honeymoon suite! The staff also provided us with leftover dinner, cake, and a complimentary bottle of champagne. It was so fun to have everyone in the villa together- it made the entire weekend a celebration and made us feel like we were having a destination wedding. Again, I cannot praise Vintage Villas enough. We feel like we chose the BEST venue in Austin and would not change a single thing about our wedding day! It was perfect! If I could, I'd give more than 5 stars. This was the perfect venue. Our wedding was just awesome and we could not have been any happier with the Vintage Villas staff and facility. We had a meet and greet with Lauren and just fell in love with her. She is so professional and responds to emails quickly. She definitely decreased our stress levels and handled the procession of our wedding ceremony and reception beautifully. She had answers and suggestions for every aspect of our wedding and I was so impressed with everything she did. The food was spectacular. Chef Steve did such a good job and our guests agreed. Kavon the bartender was so polite and professional with our guests. Mr. Reza was also awesome and kept checking on us to see if we needed anything else. This was just a perfect wedding with a wonderful staff. Our complimentary room was just beautiful with a great view of the lake. Very spacious rooms and comfortable beds. I stayed at this hotel recently to attend a family wedding. While the venue is quiet and secluded, with lovely views of Lake Travis, the "stay" part of the week-end was a disappointment. Also, the abandoned building that hulks over the east edge of the property is not what you'd expect for an atmosphere in this price range. First off, the wedding was lovely. While there were a few kerfuffles to do with the catering, everyone had a good time, and the Bride and Groom were happy. I personally think that, for what they charge per night, the rooms were not what I expect. When we checked in, the door key didn't work. We went down and the lady from the front desk came to help, and SHE couldn't get in either. Then a gentleman came up and got the door open. Turns out you had to put the card in then jiggle the door "just right' to get in. I needed to press my son's dress shirt, and it took 3 tries for them to get me an iron that actually got hot. The floor of the shower (which had no grab bar) was way too slick ( a safety hazard), There was only one towel rack in the bathroom (on the opposite side of the room from the sink, and not big enough to take care of towels for two adults), there was no place to hang a toiletry bag without having to walk back and forth across the room every time you needed anything, there was no way to turn on the light in the bathroom from inside the bathroom, which woke up my family, and they're really stingy with trash cans (one tiny one in the bathroom, one under the microwave none near the desk or the nightstands) The fire alarm went off during Saturday breakfast( someone burned their toast) which sent the youngest members of our party into hysterics. It seems like the breakfast attendant should be keeping a better watch on activities around the toasting area. I thought the breakfast was pretty basic for $12 per person. The staff seemed interested in helping, but there seemed to be a lot of problems for a room that costs as much as they charge. read more

This place ROCKS !! I took my girl there because we went to a friend's wedding, and the entire thing was beautiful. The young lady there ran the show so efficiently, everything went off without a hitch, the food was SO GOOD, the whole evening went smoothly, right down to the exit. After it was over we went to the room, got in the Jacuzzi, watched a movie, and I must say, the beds are among the most comfortable we've ever been in. After a wonderful night, we had this amazing buffet breakfast downstairs. I can't wait to get invited to another wedding there, or just get a room there sometime, or heaven forbid...get married one day. Well I don't know about THAT but if I ever do, it WILL be THERE !! read more
