This business committed to serving my event, and canceled by email with less than 24 hours notice…read more To be fair, it was a last minute request, however Jon O assured me he couldn fit us in. I submitted a request on Monday, Jon told me that they were booked but could arrange a drop off and asked for a good time to speak on the phone. We spoke on Tuesday, and although he could not offer what he originally mentioned (appetizers, buffet etc), I was thankful and more than happy to accept the grazing table option. He stated that he would send me an estimate Wednesday. I received an estimate on Wednesday at 10:20 pm, which I accepted. This morning (Thursday), Jon replied that he would confirm everything with his chef and send me an invoice later. At 8:20 pm this evening, I got an email saying that Food Addiction would not be able to accommodate my event. I completely understand the last minute nature of my request but this company should've either turned me down immediately, or at least communicated this earlier in the day (phone call would've been nice). All of the other businesses Jon suggested were already closed for the day. In our communications, Jon tells me that I'm the very first person that their company has cancelled on. With only 3 reviews, I find that very hard to believe. I recommend considering an established local company with better business practices and communication for your event and avoiding Food Addiction at all costs.

Leslie is awesome--that's obvious from the get-go! She is proactive, full of energy, and very…read morepositive! She guided us in our menu selection and style of catering, and in the end put together a fabulous spread for our wedding! We had wanted to stay away from the typical meals you find at weddings, and gravitated toward comfort food incorporated with upscale dining. After speaking to her about the types of restaurants and foods we like, she set up a tasting for us and our parents with what we had come up with. She hit the nail on the head with every morsel! There was a selection of appetizers, main dishes and sides to choose from, as well as a refreshing non-alcoholic watermelon juice drink. Everything was phenomenal! We ended up choosing a tuna tartare, open-faced duck taco, and goat cheese tartlet for our cocktail reception appetizers--all super yummy! We also had a mac and cheese station, with truffles as an option to add, which we thoroughly enjoyed! There were also two specialty drinks we came up with last minute (one "girl" drink--a white wine peach sangria, and one "boy" drink--a vodka martini infused with jalapeño and cucumber)--those went fast! The sit-down reception started off with a salad consisting of butter lettuce, blue cheese, candied walnuts and green apple with a lemon basil vinaigrette--sooooo good. We decided to do family style dining for our guests to choose whichever dishes they like and the amount they wanted. For the main dishes, there was an amazing beef tenderloin (really on par with some great steakhouses) with French compound butter & crispy fried onions and a succulent halibut with Italian salsa verde, quinoa and sautéed kale. The sides were potatoes au gratin, which was creamy and rich, and sautéed garlic spinach. Everyone couldn't stop talking about how extraordinary all the food was! Leslie also helped us with our linen selection, which included all the dishware and glassware as well as any extras like custom tables. She really knew the style we were going for, so it made for a quick and easy appointment. I didn't have to worry about dealing with that particular vendor at all--she did all the work for me! Only thing I didn't like was that the vendor didn't provide the same salad plates (they were gold-plated) to match all the silver-plated dinner plates. Other than that, Leslie also dealt with the entire alcohol and bartender situation at my venue, which was confusing to me--that was much appreciated! Overall, I'm super satisfied with how everything turned out, and beyond impressed with the high level of restaurant-quality food that was provided! I would love to go back just to do another tasting cuz it was that good!

Celeste was thorough in documenting our food preferences and making dishes that were accessible to an infant who wanted to feed herself. I would be remiss if I didn't mention a couple of our favorite dishes. My husband who doesn't like soup loved the Creamy Chicken Soup. And Celeste's greens were the best greens I've ever eaten. I think the Asian Kale was my favorite green side dish, but we liked every dish with greens that we received. My infant daughter loved the Beef & Liver Chili made with plums instead of tomatoes to make it nightshade free. By providing us with healthy and tasty meals customized to our tastes, Celeste made a stressful time in our lives much easier.

I had the opportunity to attend an evening bbq catered by Chef Cynthia while visiting friends in Austin. She served up an incredible array of creative and delicious food! I was truly impressed with her professionalism. She was punctual, accomodating to our requests, offered up recipes and tips on cooking and as a bonus, she is one of the friendliest chefs I have had the pleasure to meet! This place is the best. I had gone to many classes about 10 years ago and after a hiatus, I…read morereturned because I saw that there was a cool class for Mardi Gras. It wasn't my first Mardi Gras demo class, it lasted about 3 hours and there was wine pairings. It was a wonderful way to celebrate in a lowkey and delicious setting. The chef spoke about the way to prepare the dishes, we tasted them and I learned that New Orleans cuisine has many sauces which (for me) are quite complicated so I am happy to eat them on special occasions when I'm dining out. Most classes are minimum 60-80 dollars and can cost more depending on the ingredients. The classes can be demos or hands-on. Some are 21 and up and will offer wine pairings as well. Pro-tip, they release next month's schedule (on event brite) on the first of the month and offer a 10% discount if you book your next month's class within the first 7 days of the previous month. This year, I was checking out their schedule and it piqued my interest that they offered a shorter than average (1 hr) Lunch and Learn to celebrate Mardi Gras. I booked my ticket which was about 30 dollars, a steal compared to their usual prices. I was delighted to see that Chef Sid was still there, whipping up delicious New Orleans cuisine. We had the crab creole dip, crawfish etouffee over rice and we finished with a brownie and butter pecan praline frosting. Everything was well seasoned and flavorful. I also learned a few tricks to try. I hope they offer more of these opportunities because it was a quick, and cost effective way, to come back!
