The venue is under new ownership now but I had worked with Benita throughout my planning and she has been amazing throughout the whole process. I also added on day of coordinator service and Benita took care of all the details so that I can relax and enjoy my wedding. Out of all the venues I looked at, The Terrace was the most affordable for my budget and I didn't need to worry about table or chair rentals. They have a kitchen, walk-in fridge, and regular freezer so you have access to set-up in the back or early off of supplies. It was also a great help that they had some decors available, so I didn't have to worry about spending extra for this. Overall, I really liked the space and how convenient it was to have the ceremony and reception in one location. There is a room where you can get ready or hang out before the wedding, but the lighting is pretty dim. Venue is about a 45 minute drive from Austin, but the drive is scenic and nice. A big thank you also to Kristi and James for helping setting up, cleaning up, and picking up the catering for my wedding.

BUT, everything goes down hill when the food and and servers are horrible. The food super cold and the servers were cold as well. Servers didn't pick up salad plates when serving entrees. They just told us to put it aside or they put entree plate on top of dirty plate. This type of service ruins your upscale venue. All of our food was cold, the chicken, veggies and bread were iced cold. I wouldn't do an event here knowing how it is. The only positive besides view and location was the bartender. Lori was amazing and very serviceable. Her attitude and customer service was on point. But for sure. I works recommend this place unless is just for pictures.

The wedding coordinator did a great job making sure the decor was truly how the couple envisioned it and the views were lovely as the sun went down! Everything turned out beautifully and they had some great, non traditional vendors offered through this event space such as an onsite coffee cart that my friend included in her package! The drive up was winding and narrow so that's something to be mindful of! They have three small parking lots and their staff have golf carts that can take you from the parking lot to the venue. I do have to take off one star due to no staff being available to transport guests close to the end of the night to lot 1 which is up a hill, it was dark and many guest were in heels.

I do feel that the truth should be shared and let God do what he is going to do, and lay it as his feet. For God, is a God of love and Justice. When your our child gets married it should be a time of celebration, joy, love, and great memories to cherish. To sum this up and make it as short as possible, this example is only one of many heart breaking things that took place. My husband and I were in complete disbelief how unprofessional and unkind the owner Amy Maulding was. Being the parent of the groom, and not the parents of the bride we were treated very poorly. Receiving dirty looks through out the event by Amy we were so confused why? We did not know who she was at first and finally asked who is this woman that makes her rounds periodically throughout the night and then goes back upstairs. A staff member informed us that is Amy the owner. We were so complexed that I finally said hello to her, she just looked at us and kept walking. Very strange behavior and this was our first time being at this venue. We had never met Amy, we did not know her and she did not know us. It was very disheartening the way we were treated. We are very humble people and are not in any way shape or form the kind of people that feel a sense of entitlement. We love others and treat them with kindness and respect. It is our hope and our prayer that the owner will reflect on this and continue to be successful and prosper in all that she does. This venue is very beautiful and we wish Amy and all future guests many great memories to last a life time. With Love

We had veggie and chicken tikka masala, as well as a cashew quinoa salad. All FANTASTIC, fresh, delicious, and clearly healthy. The veggie tikka had quinoa, and both dishes were full of delicious fresh veggies, including brussels sprouts, green beans, cauliflower, carrots, squash, and more. The chicken was tender and delicious, and the sauce flavorful, but not overpowering the food at all. The vegan brownies I initially resisted trying (because . . . vegan brownies?). But actually they were very good, extremely moist, and tasty. I wish there was a restaurant. But in the meantime, I sure hope we get them catered in again. OFTEN.

I think I need a unique option for a group of friends... or my office party. Or I really want to be a part of a really cool dinner evening in the middle of herb and vegetable gardens... it's pretty cool when we walk through the gardens and pick what we eat. Really. I've done quite a few events at the SicolaGardenHouse... both as guest of other events as well as hosting my own. And they have it all. I'm always looking for conversation points and unique options when it comes to dining... whether I'm considering a special evening for family, for networking, for friends, for colleagues, or for a date. I call Sarah up, she asks me what I'm looking to do... she remembers what I've done in the past, and then she helps me make the perfect event. The food is absolutely amazing... better than I've had at most 5-star restaurants. I've traveled the world and nearly the entire country. I've yet to find a dining destination as cool as the Sicola Garden House. You don't have to have all the answers (Sarah will help you), you just have to call. And the Sicola's remind me I can bring my favorite bottle of wine :) Excited for my next event!
