There's also a pretty cool slide and one of those "walk on floats across the water" things. My kids stayed for almost 2 hours and the only reason we left then is because they were starting to turn red from their sunscreen wearing off. The lifeguards were also great. We have gotten so used to overbearing lifeguards this summer who blow their whistles and yell nonstop and this was a nice change of pace. They were very patient with everyone, using normal speaking voices and only using whistles if someone was doing something dangerous. It made for a very relaxing and fun experience. The entry for kids is about standard ($3 each) and a bit higher than usual for adults ($6 each) but one of the benefits of this is that the place wasn't very crowded so we were able to have a good time without feeling cramped. We'll definitely be coming back again, kids and adults had a great time.

Cat Hollow Pool is like the San Antonio Spurs of neighborhood pools. It's not the newest or the flashiest pool. It's just a damn good pool. Cat Hollow Pool has clean cool water. It's not dirty or over-chemed. It is seldom over-crowded. The grounds are well-maintained. Open hours are very generous (open until 9 pm almost every night), and the pool is well-staffed with a crew of lifeguards. My toddler enjoys the shaded kiddie area, and my little guys enjoy the deeper sections and small water slides. The annual pass for a family is a bargain, Perhaps it would be nice if Cat Hollow had a bigger, windier water slide or a zero-entry pool for the kids. Maybe a few more splash pad features or a reliable snack and drink machine would be cool. That said, as far as water-filled holes in the ground go, this one is pretty darn good.

Also, we usually have an issue with crowds but we really didn't notice that here. The two slides they have are awesome, the kids love it here. I love the fact that they have a shallow area for the little ones. Unfortunately, arm floaties are not allowed but they have life vests available which is AWESOME!

Its a bit hidden right by a playground and dog park. This summer we had her taking lessons for the Preschool class early on in the summer and a couple of weeks ago completed the Advanced Preschool. Swimming lessons were through the Rec Center schedule. If you or any family members are thinking of doing swimming lessons, I highly recommend taking the courses as they take place here. The instructors were friendly with all ages and took such great time and patience especially with the preschoolers. There are two pools at the Lake Creek Pool. One large one...I'm not quite sure the depth but there is also a kiddie pool off to the side which has a cover over it from the sun..which was maybe a little over a foot in depth. Off to the side there are a handful of picnic type tables and several lounge chairs off to the side. There is a huge tent over the picnic tables but other than that, there is no shade. For just playing in the water and to swim, this place isn't too bad if you aren't looking for water slides or anything. Just a place to swim, hang out and cool off.

You can bring in your own food and drinks (no alcohol-boo!) which is great since they don't have food items or snacks for sale. It's only $2 to get in which seems like a steal for any activity whatsoever these days, being that everything ever to do is hella expensive. This pool is nothing exciting. It's great for swimming and has a nice big deep end of diving without the board. It also has a nice shaded kiddie pool for my little one. There's no trees or grass to relax in if you're looking for that. The bathrooms are usually pretty gross. Fortunately, I don't have to use them often. They could pick up the TP off the ground- that'd be cool.

I often walk through this park with my dog as there are two pet waste stations, offering convenience on both ends of the park. During the weekends, more families bring their kids to the playgrounds, but the park is more or less empty during the week. Buttercup Creek Park also features two tennis courts with lights. You must purchase a key from Cedar Park Parks & Recreation. The courts are well-maintained and open on a first-come, first-served basis. The pool is open to the public during the summer, but check the Cedar Park Recreation website for current hours. There is also ample parking available. I took off one star because the park itself is tiny. Though it packs a ton of amenities, one could walk from one end to the other in 1-2 minutes. Overall, Buttercup Creek Park is a great place to visit.

It is a large pool with a shallow and deep end with a diving board. There is also a ramp that you can walk in slowly with your babies or handicapped persons. The ramp literally looks like a wheelchair ramp that goes into the water along one side of the pool. The pool has a "lap" part where more serious swimmers can swim laps and an "open" part where you can just float around and play in the water freely. There is also a kiddie pool that is very shallow for toddlers and babies - still needs supervision of course. There is a fenced gate around the kiddie pool to separate it from the larger pool. There is shading under a large tree and small picnic tables, too. There were also lounging chairs that you can lay back on and sun bathe. They aren't open all year round but usually only during summer break. The lifeguards are usually highschool kids .. for summer jobs. There are plenty of parking spaces, restrooms, showers to rinse off and water fountains. Also if you're into PokemonGo there are a couple of stops and a gym here. :)

He managed to maximize our space (odd shaped back yard) giving us what we wanted: A large pool with a substantial play area and a long lap lane for exercise purposes. Most importantly, he made sure that we had solid engineering construction for our pool size (about 33K gallons, ~170 linear feet), strongly recommending a double mat rebar construction with 12 inch walls. Nobody else even mentioned that. When I asked other pool builders, I was told "not to worry about it". Well, I'd rather spend the extra money up front than dealing with a cracked pool shell later. He even commissioned an engineering survey to confirm before breaking ground. The equipment is top notch. Pool pump and heater are working beautifully giving us the clearest water we've ever seen in a pool while maintaining the temp at 80 degrees when needed. We were guided expertly through the materials process and features (plastering, tile, travertine, water features, autofill) to achieve the end result we wanted. He also recommended a great pool maintenance company that takes care of all our ongoing needs. He was responsive throughout and supervised the pool building from start to finish. He made sure everything was done to our satisfaction down to the smallest detail.
