I was looking for something different to do for my birthday, and came across Waterloo Adventure via google and thought, "What the heck?" First, shoutout to captain John and captain Jack for the rides to and from the "island." Super kind guys. Now, WA was a great time! Our time slot was at noon, so we got there around 10:30 to check in and get acquainted with everything. In hindsight we were super glad we got there early to try out the 4 free standing things in the water. As far as the obstacle course, it was a BLAST. However, my husband and I are out of shape and hardly made it the 45 minutes. We were slipping and sliding all around, but everyone was! We were sore the next day, but that's because we aren't super young folks anymore. They do have a food truck and bar. The food was pretty good, can't go wrong with a grilled cheese. It was also reasonably priced! Overall, great time! Definitely recommend it for kids, but also for adults! read more

It was fun but Emma and red tank top guy were power tripping or something, kicking out people left and right with no warning. They also cut my friend off after one drink. If you don't follow their strict rules to a tee you may get kicked out and thats terrible after the amount you pay to get in. They were giving my friends and I grief just for floating around in the lake I don't know what their problem is. Update: we were not kicked out and I didn't say we were some of the staff was friendly but a couple were simply very rude to us as well as the other customers. The decision to kick others out was definitely made lightly as I saw people kicked out with no warning just for doing a flip. read more

OMG! This was so much fun! I went a group of girls for bachelorette trip and while most of the girls thought they didn't like the idea of getting in the water and doing something physical, we ALL ended up having a great time. Lots of laughter, lots of falling into the water lol. Our short little ride over with Captain Jake was so much fun. He joked with some of the girls and was so friendly and played us some country music. I would definitely recommend bring water shoes with the grip at the bottom. Those will definitely help you through the course. There's also a food truck on site and a bar. The one of associates recommended the strawberry daiquiri and it was delicious! Super fun experience-love the location and amenities-staff was super friendly, attentive and felt safe at all times. The boat ride captains were hilarious -Captain Jack and another guy who goes to college in Boston. We visited for Labor Day weekend with our kiddos ages 7,9,15 . They all had a blast. The life jackets were comfortable. The whole staff was so welcoming and fun. The food was surprisingly great. Would reservation was at 12pm and we stayed until closing. The course lasts 45mins and after that you have access to the four stand alone inflatables and the floating picnic tables until you decide to go home We paid for another course which was only $10, we did the 4pm slot and our family was the only one on the course which was so enjoyable. 10/10 recommend coming here with your kiddos. Will be back next summer! I would say that you must be a pretty active person for this. You take stairs up and down from the boat ride and also up and down from the course.We had to piggy back our 7yr old on the way back because she was exhausted . Honestly the most fun I've had in months.. maybe years! I was giggling like a child the entire time. You do have to wear life jackets but I would say being comfortable in the water and a strong swimmer are important. I would recommend getting there an hour earlier than your time slot... swimming in the open side for an hour, going to the obstacle course for your assigned time slot, and then playing again in the open zone. This will help you get your moneys worth! They have free lockers available, a bar, food, restrooms, lounge chairs, etc. Again, SO MUCH FUN! definitely worth the money! read more

Had fun on the obstacles BUT I got a very bad burn from going down one of the water slides. There was no water on it and it scalded my skin and ripped layers off. There was no signage warning of this potential hazard. After the injury happened, I was told by several staff members that this happens to people from time to time. Not ok!!! I emailed management about it and they did not offer any solutions. I even sent a list of multiple safety measures they could take to prevent this from continuing to happen to people but they do not seem interested in making such improvements. Use caution when going to Waterloo. I don't want more people to have to suffer an injury like I did as a result of hot and dry "water" slides. read more

What an amazing place! At first I was a bit annoyed that there wasn't a spectator price since I wasn't planning on doing the obstacle course, but once there I realized how that was just one part of the experience. Also for parents that don't use your band, someone else can use it, and you can also purchase additional time on the course for $10. The grounds are super clean (I actually watched the owner picking up trash), they have great pathways and white sand, lots of chairs and umbrellas for shade, great prices at the food truck, lawn space for the kids to throw the football around, tetherball and a few other games, super clean bathrooms, and the staff was beyond friendly and helpful. In fact, while chatting with them they literally raved about how great their boss was, how hands on he was, etc... It was clear how much they respected him and to me, I have a lot more respect for a business knowing the ownership is good to the staff. I took seven kids and no one wanted to leave. We took the grandsons and they had a great time! All the staff were very friendly and helpful but I have to give special recognition to Grant. He was running the concession this day (7/7/23) and this Grandma (me) started feeling sick because of the heat. Grant went out of his way with an ice filled towel and Gatorade to make sure I was okay. Thanks so much for your help Grant! it's an awesome concept. we felt like we really got away to a resort for the day with only a short drive. Food was also really good and affordable. My husband and I visited for our 3rd wedding anniversary. It was such a good time and very relaxing. Everyone was incredibly friendly, it was easy to find, the boat and shuttles were constantly running so you don't have to wait for long to get back to your car. Expect to get wore out from all of the fun your having and the walking from the dock to your shuttle! This is a great family activity. However, you have to be taller than 45inches and 7 years of age or older. This can be an inconvenience, but they do it for your safety. There is an obstacle course that you get a 45 minute time slot to go on as many times as you want, and then after that you are able to swim on the slide, diving area, trampoline, and rock climbing area for the rest of the day. They have bathrooms, a food truck, a bar for those who are 21+ and plenty of chairs. They also have cornhole boards to pay as well! read more

Fun place! My teen son and friends really enjoyed it. Word of caution, there are maybe 30 or more very steep stairs on the side of a cliff just to reach the chairs, food trucks & bathrooms. Really enjoyed our day out at Waterloo Adventures. Very well organized. We parked easily and then got on the shuttle to the sign in building. The a small walk to the boat ride that is a few minutes over to the inflatables etc. Everyone was very friendly. Inflatable obstacle course was so much fun. We had a family outing with 17 people. I was disappointed that kids under 7 were not allowed in even if they are not participating. I felt they should have been allowed to go across and wait with adults. Even if you are not participating in the obstacle course you must still pay the $56. So why not do the same with the younger kids? With that being said the kids had an absolute ball! I would recommend not choosing the 2 pm because you will not get your moneys worth as the park closes at 4. Had we known we would have booked an earlier time slot. I visited Waterloo this weekend with my family for the first time. I've been to Lake Travis on a boat party before but never this side of the lake. Firstly, The older man at the gate greeted us with such southern hospitality. My family is from Texas so it's always nice to just see a friendly Texan greet us with a warm smile. He told us where to park and we proceeded down the hill. Once we parked, we got there an hour before our time slot. (We arrived at 12:30pm, but our time slot was 2pm) we wanted to make sure we were super early since it was our first time. We got to the table to check in and Evan and Courtland were the most fun and the best!!!! Seriously, i loved their energy and how friendly and informative they were to us. We missed signing one of our waivers and they were so patient to let us complete the rest right there. They answered all of our questions and directed us to the boat where it takes us to Waterloo Adventures. When we got on the boat, we were greeted by Casey. Now, Casey was super dope because he made us feel so at ease and he made sure he didn't go too fast in the boat. We were amazed at the water and view and he talked to us about the celebrities that visit the lake and the different kinds of boats people had there. He made sure to inform us on what to expect at the Waterloo. He dropped us off at the dock and we proceeded to walk up the steps to find us a spot to relax. We were hungry so they have a nice and cute concession stand with some amazing pizza rolls, grilled cheese sandwich and sausage on stick. Those three are a MUST have when you go. We also ordered the fajita chicken taco and although it was filling, it was alright. The drinks hit just right. The Mango margarita is perfect!!! Please get these items on the menu because you won't regret it. Honestly, it's so affordable i see why they don't want you to bring any food. (I lowkey want to go back just for the pizza rolls) Lauren and Kathryn WERE THE BEST!!! They we the servers at the concession and truly guided us on what is the best of the best. Once our time started at 2pm. We relaxed after. If you don't know how to swim, it's okay because they make you wear a life jacket that will most definitely keep you above water. After spending hours out there, it was definitely worth my money, more than being around too many people at Schliterbahn. Once we were ready to go, we got back on the boat to leave and Captain Jack ended our trip with so much fun! He was attentive and engaging. He asked everyone on the boat "what was the best part of our trip" as everyone proceeded to engage with one another, Captain Jack was super appreciative of us and i was just amazed at how great the customer service was over. To conclude, i would definitely come back and make it a family tradition. Spent the day here with my family for the first time and Jack was so funny and personable as our transportation. Everything was really simple and fairly hands-off. I would say that 45 mins is the perfect amount of time for a session because it is tiresome. You can buy additional sessions at the park for $10, which if you enjoyed the obstacles, is totally worth it. Moreover, as a fairly overweight person, most things were still doable, with effort of course. It was really fun and quite the workout. Fun for all ages. No, really! A group of us wanted one last bash on Lake Travis before Summer slipped through our grasp. We're all relatively fit and we thought, "why not combine the lake and a challenge course?" If I'm honest, I expected it to be a tiny, lame course meant for 10 year olds. The challenge.is.real. Our entire group was out of breath after several obstacles, and the 45 minute time limit is just enough for you to get through the course twice if you're in good shape. So how does it work? You pay your $50, park in a dirt lot on the Northeast side of Lake Travis, then get shuttled by van to the business, where they again shuttle you (by boat) to the obstacle course. This part is rocky and easily the worst part of the experience. The van drove off just as we were pulling in. By the time the next van came, enough of us had gathered that we couldn't all fit in that van either. The vans are pretty beat up, with stained seats, missing air vents, etc, but at least the a/c works. Once you get to the venue, it's smooth sailing. The check in process took no time at all (make sure you sign your waiver online beforehand!), take a short walk to the boat dock and then a three minute boat ride to the obstacle course. A few other yelpers have noted that the lifeguards are all on the young side. Come to think of it, I only saw one staffer over 25 the entire time I was there. This can be a gift or a curse; on one hand, this ain't a floating Ritz. The lifeguards weren't overly friendly. They were hired to keep you from drowning yourself, and at least on my visit, they had a 100% success rate. On the other hand, they don't seem to care too much. The website states no outside food or drink, but we brought a small water cooler and saw several other groups packing in lunch without any issue. Don't sleep on the Waterloo drinks though! The alcoholic slushes are pricey at $10 a pop, but trust me, they absolutely get the job done. Though your ticket ostensibly gets you one 45 minute session on the obstacle course, the lifeguards were pretty chill about letting you back on as well. I won't lie, the rating is helped by the fact that Waterloo is a 7 minute drive from my house, but it's genuinely fun and unique...well worth the money. read more

Went to the Waterloo Adventures today and felt like I was at a resort. The location is perfect and they have a bunch of chairs and tables set up with umbrellas for guests to use. They sell beer and daiquiris and there is a food truck that opens at 12. There are several free activities like corn hole and a side swimming area with the inflatable obstacles that guests can use any time no matter your time slot along with free lockers to keep your stuff in. The obstacle course was so much fun and wore us out pretty quick. The staff was super nice and friendly and shoutout to Capt. Jack running the pontoon boat on the way back. My friends and I just went here as part of our guys trip to Austin. We are all mid-30s and we did the first time slot open for the day at 11am. It was perfect. We got in a group with not many little kids and we were about to have a blast on the course and then just relax on their beach area as well as get in and float around in the free area for the next couple hours.
