I highly recommend getting their Khao Soi. For $16.95, the amount of food you get is ridiculous. The flavor, mind blowing. The curry packs a very tasteful and creamy punch. Request for their chilli flakes and Add to your liking to bring the fish to another level. The old country pad Thai is also very good. Not sure if I could taste the difference between the regular pad thai but this is a couple bucks cheaper lol Overall, very nice restaurant with great quality food. Great service. I recently wrote a review for the 'Hot & New' Omori in Quincy. While I am not a detractor of Omori,…read morethe experience there left something to be desired. This is due to some creative decisions I disagree with and, at times, very little eel. Meanwhile, Sake Japanese Restaurant hits just the right spot! The creative decisions were excellent, with everything coming together splendidly. The fish was fresh and in more than generous amounts. This, in turn, makes the cost of about $20 per roll seem reasonable and makes it much easier to stomach (I didn't intend the pun, but I will own it). Regarding the Holiday and the Kevin Page, these maki rolls are similar. Both shine with the white fish on top and generous amounts of tuna (and salmon in the Holiday's case) within. The eel and cucumber add a pleasant new dimension to the pieces. I'd say these two are like identical twins adopted by different families. Each will have some unique personality and flair, but at the core, they are one. The crazy tuna brought something different to the table. While I am generally not a fan of the chopped-up style of fish, here it just works, and I didn't mind it. If I were to guess, this is because many places have more tempura than fish and add too much spicy mayo. Despite the style, the tuna was still able to shine through. For the inside, I enjoyed the crunch and freshness of the cumber with the sweetness and savory notes from the eel. Finally, the service was polite and speedy, though it wasn't bustling. Thus, not only would I happily return to Sake, but I would love to order the same three rolls again, for they were *that* good.

No extra charge, and when I tried to give him a tip, he politely declined. THAT is platinum level of customer service. And to top it off, the sushi was delicious...I cannot wait to heat up and try the ramen. Highly suggest, if I could give more stars I would!

Toppu is an underrated hidden gem in Quincy!…read more Recently opened and located in South Quincy, Toppu serves Japanese cuisine, ranging from ramen to sushi to omurice. First, we got the vegetable tempura to share. It was light and crispy, pairing well with the sauce they provided. My personal favorite was the sweet potato tempura! They also offer a terrific sushi combo special; 2 rolls for $15 or 3 rolls for $19.45. We got two 3-roll sushi combos and I personally opted for the Spicy Salmon, Spicy Scallop, and Shrimp Tempura rolls. My favorite roll was the Spicy Scallop roll, but all the rolls were amazing! The Spicy Scallop Roll is a MUST TRY here. The fish is so fresh and they give a lot of fish (perfect fish-to-rice ratio!). I love how the tempura was crispy in the sushi rolls as well. Overall, the quality of the food is solid too, and it's a great place to get some tasty sushi. There are probably about 8 tables max at Toppu, so it's a great spot to grab some takeout. They have their own parking lot and there's tons of street parking right in front of the restaurant. However, I definitely recommend dining in though! The restaurant is clean and cute. I love how they have Toppu dishes and glasses. The staff is also very friendly. One thing to note though (which is the only reason I'm giving Toppu 4 stars instead of 5) is that the service can be a bit slow when they're busy. It took some time to get our food and the bill. There was only one waiter working as well. I'm sure once they've been open for a while they'll figure it out! I recommend giving Toppu a try! I'll be back soon to try their ramen and omurice.

It's very close to my workplace and to my home the service is always very good. The ambience is cute and I think that the food is consistently good. One of my favorite dishes is Massaman curry with chicken (and or shrimp) which I order with a mild heat level,. I think I've mentioned before in other reviews that what is considered mildly spicy in some cuisines would for me make my head explode. At any rate, Massaman curry has Thai curry with a creamy texture from coconut milk, peanuts, and potatoes. It's less spicy than other Thai curries. I always say to myself that I will try something different but I fall back on the tried and true of this delicious dish. That said, in the picture below, I actually tried to sweeten sour chicken dish with savory fresh vegetables cooked to perfection, not soggy, but crisp el dante, in flavored with a sweet-and-sour sauce. It was very good and I will definitely order it again. I definitely recommend that you try this restaurant if you are a fan of Thai cuisine. Please see my reviews of other Thai restaurants as well.
