We tried Quans again and I have to update my review. The food was excellent. This will be the Chinese we order from in Weymouth from now on.

This place was great on one time, but the quality has gone out the window. We went from ordering once a week to staying far away!

I recently wrote a review for the 'Hot & New' Omori in Quincy. While I am not a detractor of Omori,…read morethe experience there left something to be desired. This is due to some creative decisions I disagree with and, at times, very little eel. Meanwhile, Sake Japanese Restaurant hits just the right spot! The creative decisions were excellent, with everything coming together splendidly. The fish was fresh and in more than generous amounts. This, in turn, makes the cost of about $20 per roll seem reasonable and makes it much easier to stomach (I didn't intend the pun, but I will own it). Regarding the Holiday and the Kevin Page, these maki rolls are similar. Both shine with the white fish on top and generous amounts of tuna (and salmon in the Holiday's case) within. The eel and cucumber add a pleasant new dimension to the pieces. I'd say these two are like identical twins adopted by different families. Each will have some unique personality and flair, but at the core, they are one. The crazy tuna brought something different to the table. While I am generally not a fan of the chopped-up style of fish, here it just works, and I didn't mind it. If I were to guess, this is because many places have more tempura than fish and add too much spicy mayo. Despite the style, the tuna was still able to shine through. For the inside, I enjoyed the crunch and freshness of the cumber with the sweetness and savory notes from the eel. Finally, the service was polite and speedy, though it wasn't bustling. Thus, not only would I happily return to Sake, but I would love to order the same three rolls again, for they were *that* good.

I had placed an order via Uber Eats from Sake. I ordered some sushi, some Yakitori (because my dogs…read morelove them and they deserved a yummy treat), and ramen that I put in the fridge for Sunday in plan of having some good hot soup after shoveling the pending snow. While my order was in route, the restaurant called and informed me that my driver forgot the hot items. Before I could even feel an ounce of disappointment and without prompt I was asked for my address as well as phone number and their delivery guy brought my ramen! No extra charge, and when I tried to give him a tip, he politely declined. THAT is platinum level of customer service. And to top it off, the sushi was delicious...I cannot wait to heat up and try the ramen. Highly suggest, if I could give more stars I would!

Ganko is likely my favorite spot for ramen in the Boston area. I like Hokkaido ramen and I love…read morethose thicker and wavy noodles. I would go to the original Brookline location but this one is a little easier for me to get to. My go-to is the OG miso ramen, It's very rich and hearty, leaving you quite satisfied after eating. If you want a "cleaner" flavor, then shio is a good choice. The portions are rather generous and they don't skimp on the toppings. You actually get a 1/2 egg included, which is becoming rare these days. The karaage (fried chicken) isn't the crispiest I've ever had but it is really flavorful and tender. The marinating and using boneless chicken thighs lends itself to having those two traits. Service is generally friendly and prompt. The area inside is a little dark, and uses artificial lighting to stay somewhat bright, but it's fine. This is a less cramped space than the Brookline location and since it's in a strip mall, there's parking. The area is rather devoid of ramen shops, so this was a much-welcomed addition.

I had heard about this spot for a while but hadn't had the chance to visit--until now, and I'm glad I did. This Japanese-style ramen restaurant offers a diverse selection of ramen along with other menu options. The space is well laid out, with plenty of seating, including bar seating where you can watch and engage in the food preparation experience. The service was prompt and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. If you're in the area and looking for a great ramen spot, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. If you want, I can  tweak it to sound more casual, more hype, or more like a review with a rating.

We started out with the Spicy Korean Fried Chicken Bao, which were decent. The Bao was a little stiffer than expected, but the flavor was good. The little bit of scallion really added to the flavor. We also had the Crispy Brussel Sprouts. Those were awesome! Perfect flavor and texture. Who knew Brussels could be so good?! We then had the Miso Tonkotsu Ramen, The Miso Kimchi Ramen, the Tonkotsu Ramen, and the Shio Garlic Ramen. The Miso Tonkotsu Ramen had the best flavor hands down. A really nice salty and umami flavor that was perfect. The Tonkotsu & Kimchi were both quite good too. The Shio Garlic Ramen was a little lacking. The broth reminded us of a stock chicken Pho broth. It was decent, but nowhere near as good as the others. We also loved the location and the whimsical style of the interior. It had its own design style, and wasn't trying to be another me-too location. We look forward to our next visit soon!

My wife and I usually order the combo plates which are very reasonably priced not necessarily the biggest serving but the high quality and low price more than makes up for it People are always very polite and food is ready very quickly

Ordered…read morealmost $100 worth of food, made up of 5 combination dinner dishes. 3 of these were rice plates, with shrimp lobster sauce, and egg foo yung, all with fried rice. When I got home with these take outs, 30 min ride away, I opened my takeout boxes to have lunch. The two fried rice plates were spoiled, Not "not too fresh" or "a bit stale".. They had that outright spoiled smell, like when you leave food out un-refrigerated for about 3 days. I had to put these in the trash. Then I smelled the shrimp lobster sauce, which were packaged separately from the spoiled rice and didn't smell spoiled.. I had fresh white rice at home, so I added the lobster sauce to make my own lunch plate. Then I put the lobster sauce into my mouth and my head was filled with question marks.. The lobster sauce was SWEET! I've had lobster sauce from 2 or 3 hundred Chinese takeout places. Some are more salty than others, some have a black bean taste; it varies. But this is the first time when I've had lobster sauce where the dominant taste was sweetness. That's not what I wanted. It's like having coffee but instead of sweet someone added salt. Or having spaghetti but with maple syrup. It tasted weird, and unpleasant. I had to throw this out too. So, out of 5 dishes, 3 were spoiled, 1 was weirdly and inappropriately sweet, and the last one, according to my son who ate it, said it "wasn't very good". I write many reviews, and read them too. When I see a one star review citing horrible customer service or whatever, I mostly attribute those to the owners of nearby rival restaurants, trying to kill the business of a competitor. Here I am giving a one star review for the first time. If you feel skeptical, please feel free to read some of my other restaurant reviews. I tend to be very detailed and descriptive, and I call it like it is. I have no interest in artificially boosting or hurting a restaurant's ratings. I am just a guy wo eats out a lot and like to share my personal experience and opinions. So, for this time, my advice is to stay away from this very bad restaurant.
